Involving oneself into a sport requires a lot of practice and effort like, drill-drivers
, incorporating drills that could enhance your ability, drill-drivers
, to play better into that sport. Therefore, it is very important for a softball player to discover, develop and increase his skills in softball. One of the best and effective, drill-drivers
, ways to do, drill-drivers, drill-drivers
,
, so is to fit into place himself in various softball drills.

Things will be much easier in a drill if you are having fun of it. It will be more rapidly absorbed once you take pleasure in what you are doing. Don’t just focus on lectures alone, for sure it will be boring. Therefore, actions and demonstrations are necessary for any player to master each action in the drills.

Before doing a drill, a player needs to condition the muscles that support his or her trunk, or central part, and back, abdomen, and legs. As you condition your muscles prior to a drill it will reduce the stress on a throwing arm and permits lower body to supply more power throughout an entire throwing motion, resulting in less, drill-drivers
, arm injuries and increased throwing pace. Appropriate structure should always be stressed when executing softball drills,, drill-drivers
, since the, drill-drivers
, repetition of the act becomes familiar to the muscle, a concept known as muscle memory. If the muscles learn to do actions incorrectly and perform these improper motions time and time again, it can be, drill-drivers
, very difficult to recondition the body into performing the actions the right way.

The following are some softball drills that you could chose from. Though they are optional it could probably increase your skills in playing the sport.

• Batting drills-The partner stands six feet from the batter and tosses balls in rapid succession to the contact point of the strike zone. The hitter is standing up and, drill-drivers
, drives one, drill-drivers
, ball after another into a net by taking her swing and snapping the bat back to the starting position in preparation for the next toss.

• Zig Zag Drill-is similar to what football defense do for their defensive backs.

• Wall Pitching – Pitchers pitch directly to the wall and for every 20 pitches, they move at least 5 feet away from the wall. Do not ever forget to perform the basics of pitching first before doing some other pitching styles and techniques. This softball drill increases one’s pitching skills and overall body strength and balance.

• Sign Assigning – It is basically a mental toughness, drill-drivers
, drill. Assign secret and team only signs to use during games and tournaments. This will help keep the, drill-drivers
, confidentiality of the team plans.

• Run Bases – Jog for even bases while sprint for the odd ones, drill-drivers
, . This drill is done to increase speed,, drill-drivers
, lower body strength, and endurance.

In performing a drill you need a team to play with and a coach to supervise or guide you. You can’t do it alone, it is really impossible. The drill is useless if you didn’t apply it. Determining the right softball drills will not only help you enhance your strengths but will also improve the areas where you are not that good.

Marc Dagenais, MHK, CSCS, is a softball peak performance coach that helps players and teams hit with more power, run faster, throw harder, become mentally tougher, and be more dominant on the softball field.
Yesterday I asked some students if they would be disposed to pay for online contents. They said “no”

Yesterday I asked some students if they would be disposed to pay for online contents. They said “no”. But today I read that a Boston Consulting Group research affirms that, in Spain, 52% of Internet users would pay for those contents.

Rupert Murdoch, who is convinced that the future of Internet depends on charging for the contents, is gaining more and more supporters. London Times already charges for their contents in its portal and many other editors are planning to do the same.

Boston Consulting Group has studied nine countries and in every one of them the results have been positive in favor of paying. The nature of the contents for which people would pay is especially local, although in EE.UU and U.K. Internet users prefer to pay for the breaking news service.

However, Boston Consulting Group research explains that even though a lot of people would give money for those contents, they are not disposed to pay a lot. In Spain, people would pay four Euros per month for “premium contents” on Internet, and only 11.3% of the Internet users would reach to ten Euros for them.

One of the walls that difficult the operations is that people do not like online transactions through credit card, because they have to give some bank details.

Did you know of light treatment and homeopathys real score as two of the proclaimed ultimate acne tr

Did you know of light treatment and homeopathys real score as two of the proclaimed ultimate acne treatments? Because sometimes, acne patient cannot detect when will be the reappearance of acne patches on their face, back, and chest especially if s/he is not much watchful of different affecting factors; s/he tries to use any of the popular light treatment or homeopathy in resolving the acne dilemma. The field of medicine is trying to extend help in alleviating the pains and discomfort of the acne patient through a wide array of treatments available. Many doctors have been recommending a popular method which is light treatment. This method is meant to control or put an end to the hyper-activity of the sebaceous glands. The skin, after the course of light treatment, is given the temporary relief. Once light treatment is put on hold and is discontinued the acne reappears. Another proclaimed ultimate acne treatment option is homeopathy however; many people have even sworn that this treatment does not guarantee 100% success. Besides, the medication period is longer. yet no visible improvement becomes apparent. Generally, there are medications that may not work effectively to a group of patients because of several influencing factors.

Did you know that oral contraceptives may be suitable for all types of acne in women and adolescent girls as adjunctive therapy? The use of oral contraceptives may be a beneficial adjunctive therapy. If you would take oral contraceptives, the androgens would control the production of sebum. In addition, through the increased sex hormone-binding globulin levels, the known contraceptive popularly reduces androgen levels. Hence, the availability of biologically dynamic free testosterone is reduced. From the other presently available progestins, the third-generation progestin norgestimate has reduced inherent androgenicity, which new generation of medication has been proven effective for moderate inflammatory acne treatment. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had labeled the Ortho Tri-Cyclen, a triphasic mixcture of norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol for the treatment of women and adolescent girls acne vulgaris. There are other reasonable choices for the medication of acne like the other norgestimate (Ortho-Cyclen) or desogestrel containing contraceptive agents. Acne patient needs to be medicated for about two to four months of therapy before any health or skin improvement becomes possible; however, if the treatment has been discontinued the patient is likely to experience relapses. There are drawbacks, however in using the contraceptive as the medication for acne conditions. Strict coherence to the words of the reliable dermatologist and physician must be observed.

Did you know that there is a recipe that can give you acne-free skin? What is the surefire formula for acne-free skin? A good healthy diet + regular exercise + good dehydration + proper hygiene + adequate sleep are equal to acne free skin. Bear in mind always that whatever good things you do unto your body, your body gives back the health and skin beauty that you desire. Achieving a skin formula treatment is better than any artificially prepared medications which have associated side-effects or health risks. As a good cook or if someone in the household is a good cook, you or anybody can prepare a recipe of a good and healthful food for the body. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables can be prepared and lavishly garnished on some appetizing serves. If you become too hook in drinking plenty of water and in eating more fruity and vegetable-rich meals you can cure your acne better than trying readily purchased medicines from drugstores. Create a special fruit salad or a recipe with much of blueberries as a good source of antioxidants. Keep a healthful diet, with a great skin care routine and you are eventually, to be awarded of a healthy glowing and acne-free skin.

Did you know that you can conquer the growing and worsening condition of acne? Your mere natural intervention to your acne skin problem can do big wonders especially if you are financially short for a consultation to and prescription by a dermatologist. Even when you are maintaining a regular medication, you still have to naturally observe many other things that concern your health. Be mindful of the food you intake or your diet in general. Avoid the processed foods, as possibly as you can. A secret for better skin tone is the intake of vegetables and a serving of fruit. Do not eat fried food and fat-rich food and products. Drink at least eight glasses of water everyday and avoid too much consumption of caffeine, chocolate, and carbonated drinks. Give your body the antibodies to fight bacterial infection through taking in vitamins and natural supplements. Drink a teaspoon of the herb regularly while you are maintaining a healthy diet for better treatment or prevention of the worsening of acne. If you want the bacteria to be eliminated and the inflammation to be reduced, take herbs regularly. A regular body massage or therapy can help increase the circulation of blood and speed the healing process of blemishes. Reduce your stress, too through yoga and exercises. These stress-reduction exercises that include biofeedback, meditation, massage and breathing techniques can help level off the mood and reduce stress.

Did you know that a physician may evacuate the contents of acne? Under aseptic conditions, the contents of acne, blackheads, or pimples can be evacuated. However, only those people who are expert in emptying the inflamed acne can execute the evacuation process. If the patient shall do the evacuating process by himself or herself, there is the possibility that the condition of the infected areas shall get worse. An expert hand must execute the process for better result. Through evacuating the content of the acne, the chances for scarring are lessened. Set an appointment to your doctor who is known for the simple operation of evacuation. You need not wait until your acne go away by itself. Anyway, there is an easier way to make its removal possible and immediate. There are people who have been well-instructed or have the know-how of evacuating the contents of the acne. Some would take a sharp pin and prick the inflamed area until all the contents in the area are removed. The considered eye of the acne is removed, yet if you failed to eliminate it, a lesion will be formed. The contents of blackheads are easily removed; however you have to be more careful in evacuating the contents of the acne. If you are having the doubt in your self-medication better seek for an expert to do the evacuation of acne contents.

The near future is slowly becoming more clear; I will typically be leaving early on Monday mornings for work, and returning on Thursday evenings.

We talked to the children tonight – to make sure they understand what is about to happen. Our 9 and 5 year olds understood – little miss 4 was more interested in telling us she had eaten all of her dinner.

This weekend will therefore be taken up with organising the things I will be taking with me – packing my bags!

What do you take with you? How much is too much? I’m inclined to travel light – given a netbook and an internet connection, I really need very little else to amuse me. The iPod Nano will probably help to avoid me strangling anybody on the train journey, but I may well end up travelling back and forth with colleagues.

It’s the little things that are going to be annoying to get ready; toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush, shower gel, shaving gel, razor, shampoo… the list goes on and on.

One part of my daily itinerary has already been set in stone; calling home as soon as I arrive back at the hotel each evening via Skype. My netbook and my work laptop have webcams… I’m going to be using them; we are going to try it out from the work laptop tomorrow at home with the kids, so they know how to do it too.

I will also be writing emails to our eldest – she has a gmail account that she never uses – it will do her good to have a reason to use the computer more (we have somehow pulled of a feat with the computers in the house – they are just one more thing to do as far as the kids are concerned – no doubt that will change as they get older and want to keep in touch with friends).

I should probably get my hair cut in the morning too – it’s at that “not quite tidy, and not quite a wreck” stage…

Are you tired of hammering the butt of your ketchup bottle with your hand just to pop its remaining

Are you tired of hammering the butt of your ketchup bottle with your hand just to pop its remaining contents into your plate? Yeah, it really is irritating and stressful to the hands (not to mention ineffective). Now I would like to share a simple hack on how to pop out the contents of a ketchup bottle easily for you to be able to focus on your food and not on the ketchup.
So here it goes…

First you have to open the bottle and hold it upside down pointed towards your plate (or any target). Make sure that you are holding onto the bottle tight or the next step might cause trouble.

After this, you have to do a thrusting motion with the bottle towards the target as strong as you can and then jerk the bottle in the opposite direction very very quickly. You might need to do this twice or thrice depending on the viscosity of the ketchup but it sure is more effective than hammering the ketchup bottle’s butt. Why?…

*Warning: explicit Physics concepts may not be suitable for young audiences, parental guidance is advised.

…Because as you thrust the ketchup bottle, the ketchup moves in the same velocity (speed and direction) as the bottle. At the moment you jerk the bottle in the opposite direction, the Law of Inertia comes in. The ketchup cannot react quickly to the jerk and it will retain its speed and direction (which is towards the plate). This causes the ketchup to detach from the bottle and dive straight into your plate.

On the other hand, tapping/ hammering the butt of the ketchup bottle does not help a lot because…

…In tapping/ hammering the butt, you apply a Force directed towards the ketchup that settled at the bottom of the bottle. Via Newton’s Law of Action-Reaction, the ketcup applies the same amount of force but directed towards the opposite direction (which is towards you or your hand). This, obviously does not help in popping it out. haha.

Bon Appetit!

PROLOGUE I have lived and worked in the Middle East for more than three decades, and this book colle

PROLOGUE

I have lived and worked in the Middle East for more than three decades, and this book collects what I feel to be my most compelling insights from journeys and meetings in some two dozen countries. I have visited many of these states repeatedly, first as a traveller, then as a student of the Arabic, Persian and Turkish languages, and then as a foreign correspondent, most recently for the Wall Street Journal.

I chose the stories that lie ahead of you to underline straightforward points that I believe are essential to understanding the people, governments and social forces at work in the region. They side-step the ins and outs of theoretical debates, acronyms and quickly forgotten politicians’ names. As I wrote these pages, I imagined before me an enthusiastic student or well-educated traveler, trying to make sense of the Middle East and frustrated with dry and theoretical approaches.

I want to share my confusion and the hilarious moments as I was educated out of my initial bafflement and into an understanding of the absurd paradoxes of dysfunctional states. I met people trapped between ruthless tyrants and an insensitive outside world. I experienced not only cruelty, fear and war, but also poetry, love and adventure. Along the way I want to explain how I came to terms with a very muddled East, and also suggest new ways how an insensitive and meddling West can better come to terms with the region.

I believe that the U.S. and other states’ policy mistakes of the past decades are based on a fundamental blindness towards the people and circumstances of Middle Eastern countries, and an over-readiness to think of the region in terms of simplistic ideological labels like ‘Arabs,’ ‘Islam’ or ‘terror.’ As a new American administration is taking office explicitly promising to listen to and to re-assess its approach to the Middle East, I hope the observations in this book can be a source of new ideas, empathy and change.

Avoiding classic territorial subdivisions, I have made the scope of this book the whole Middle East. This is not because of any belief that the Middle East can usefully be seen as a political grouping; in fact, every country of the region prioritizes its relations with outside powers over any mutual solidarity, and there can be bewildering differences of ethnicity, language and religion. I do however believe there are also continuities and overlaps in Middle Eastern societies, history and geography. This book ranges therefore from Turkey in the west to Pakistan in the east, from Afghanistan in the north to Sudan in the south. There is a particular focus on Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and, of course, Iraq.

The first five chapters recount my introduction to the Middle East, during which time I became a foreign correspondent. The next five chapters follow my deeper explorations, from dodging through the streets of Jeddah with a Saudi businesswoman to the chilling night I sat up until dawn talking with a missionary from the al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan. Three chapters then take a frank look at state formation, dictatorship and governance in the region. The final five focus on Iraq, before, during and after the U.S. invasion.

Above all, however, this is a book of stories, from unexpected hiccups with my Egyptian girlfriend, to reeling from explosions in the Iran-Iraq war, to enduring ten weeks trapped in a forgotten, besieged and famine-struck Sudanese town. Rather than trying to fit every idea into any single political or economic scheme, the artificial, virtual framework that traditional news reporting uses to explain events to readers, I have allowed myself to go with the flow of the truer and more interesting confusion of everyday life. I have tried to recreate on these pages the sense of plunging into the cumin-heavy vaults of the Aleppo bazaar or the edgy backstreets of Baghdad as if you were at my shoulder, so as to communicate as intensely as possible the Middle Eastern reality and vivacious human contact that makes the region so addictive to me.

Along the way, I want to show why it was so hard to accurately report my developing understanding of the Middle East to a Western, and especially to an American audience. I was lucky to write for the Wall Street Journal in its golden age. Yet even in this most prestigious of American newspapers I found it hard to keep my stories out of the ruts of traditional coverage of good “moderates” versus bad “radicals”, a misleading focus on an Arab-Israeli “peace process” that never proceeded anywhere, and the way many people over-emphasize the role of “Islam” as an analytical tool in assessing the Middle East.

The idiosyncracies of the region, I believe, are more the product of universal problems of inequality, circumstance and international politics, not uniquely Middle Eastern religions or ideologies. The lives of Middle Easterners, the majority of whom are only a generation or two away from an illiterate peasant background, differ greatly from those of Americans or Europeans, especially members of Western élites likely to read newspapers that I wrote for like the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times and London’s Independent. My argument is that this is not because of some insoluble “clash of civilizations” but because of bridgeable disparities in education, security, prosperity and expectations.

Outsiders find it hard to see that despite the Middle East’s occasional agonies, its people are like any other and can have fun too. Westerners should be more aware that the stress and conflict in media reports are only part of a much larger reality, just as Middle Easterners should realize that the normality of Western countries is not all as presented in Hollywood films and TV sitcoms. I hope that this book can allow a wider audience to see the countries of the region in a new and less confrontational light, to hear the voices of its peoples and sometimes to make them laugh out loud.

While searching for interesting facts about handbags I found this article published in Time magazi

While searching for interesting facts about handbags I found this article published in Time magazine on January 31, 1945. It was titled: “The Contents of a Handbag – Revealed”. It basically states that a woman’s handbag is her “treasure chest”. A movable object that holds all the essentials a woman may need at a split moment in any situation. The handbag in 1945 held a mysterious aura that no man would dare to tread upon. That is still holds true today 64 years later.

Men may wonder why handbag design have so many styles – 27 different styles in the site I found, with sizes ranging from extra small, to extra large or even bigger. Never mind materials range from animal skins, plastics, vinyl, polyurethane (imitating leather/suede) to the gamut of fabrics in as many colours that would put Crayola Crayons to shame. I tell you, give a man a red toolbox, black tackle box, blue bowling bag, black duffle bag and green golf bag and he is a happy camper. However, we won’t bring up the subject of the Tool Contest, you know that contest where the man who dies with the most tools wins!

But wait, don’t ask a man to get something from your purse. My daughter & I have on occasion asked her husband to get something from our handbag. He quietly goes to the purse, brings it directly to us, carefully carrying the strap on one finger with his arm out stretched as far as it can be. He then reverently hands the bag to us saying “I really don’t want to go into your purse. You get it”. I am not sure if he is afraid he will find something he doesn’t want to see, or he won’t be able to find it in the same amount of time we could.

Now, I am not afraid in the least bit to tell you what is in my purse. At this very moment my purse holds car keys, house keys, wallet, cell phone, errand list, eye glasses (to be repaired), pen with no cap, eye glass cleaning cloth, website business cards, digital photo album, a leash ornament from the Farley Foundation (from the vet for giving a donation), cough drop wrappers and finally as always, the usual bits of minute pieces of paper.

Ladies, I challenge you to tell us all – What is in your purse!!!!!!!
