I’d like to note that, while I do my best to be meticulous in my blogging — often going back and checking links, etc. — some content may not be available at this point. Websites like YouTube don’t own the rights to things like music videos, so they’re occasionally removed. You know this. While we’re on the subject of YouTube though, here’s one from the (Epitaph Records official YouTube page — it’ll stick around) archives called “First One On the Blog.” Huh.

I’ll tell you right now. I’m not a Lil Wayne fan. You know what? I’m not an Eminem fan either. Both had one good album. Tha Carter II and The Marshall Mathers LP. Besides those albums? I’ll pass on both these dudes. Pause. BUT. They made a song together not named “Forever” and it’s fire. Off Rebirth. Download HERE. Most people are saying that Em killed Wayne on this. Alla “Renegade.” But I’m not hearing it. Gotta give this one to Wayne. This is actually the second song I like off Weezie’s alleged rock album. Does he even play guitar on it? Who knows. Anyways. This “On Fire” is dope too. Download HERE. Cool & Dre really killed that sample. Rebirth might be straight….?

Im not a huge [fan anymore] but I like this beat. so it gets a NICE.

Compton’s Game returns with the first single from his forthcoming album RED.

You either love this instantly or it will grow on you, Cool & Dre produce one of the most infectious beats of 2009, providing the West Coast emcee with the waviest of platforms on which Game flows with such composure and consistency, you can hear the experience in his voice. Lyrically, Game has stepped it up, this appears to be the buzz single, accompanied by a good video and expect plenty of rotation. Sampling the lyrics from Clipse – Nightmares, “I got big money..”, Game makes it his own as he attempts to solidify his status as a Hip-Hop heavyweight, personally I really like the song, best experienced loud, this just has that vibe, not much has to be said, it in a way directs you towards the album which is set to be his best effort to date (remember that Documentary is a certified classic).

Game has his eye on the Hip-Hop crown..
