Yasmin will be featured on one of the ten covers of issue 10 of Corduroy magazine, the North American publication based around the concept that “a corduroy jacket never goes out of style.” The 10 covers, which also feature Alek Wek, Angela Lindvall, Erin O’Connor, Estella Warren, Eva Herzigova, Kirsten Owen, Maggie Rizer, Tatjana Patitz, and Trish Goff, were shot by Peter Ash Lee.

Michael Wolf, born in Munich and raised in the United States, has been working as an author and photographer in China for the past ten years. The images above convey an interest in unsolicited portraiture run rampant in today’s tech heavy world; someone’s always watching, so a perpetual fuck you to “the Man” (or a quick panty line check) will undoubtedly be seen—and maybe even captured—at one point or another.

I love Corduroy Magazine’s coverage of Wolf’s latest series, “Copy Artists,” which features images of Chinese artists alongside their masterfully executed reproductions of famous works of art—a booming trade, and in a country seemingly founded on Ford’s early and explosive 20th century production model. (I know, if others have already covered it, does that make US copy artists, too? One more thing: FUCK YOU GOOGLE STREET VIEW)

What a fun night shooting for my gorgeous girl Stefania from textstyles.ca & Corduroy Magazine at their Pop-Up Shop at Chasse Gardée. I also participated in a little shopping and bought the most gorgeous vintage lambskin coat! Money was raised from the Pop-Up for the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

wow. hey.

so basically you could say ive been having some technical difficulties.

my computer kind of went corrupt and tons of my photos got sick and no one could help them. i got depressed about it for a bit, now im ready to face reality of this tech savy world and get back on my blog horse.

so this event was quite a while ago… for the launch of corduroy magazine @ milk studios. adam, charlotte, irina, and sean played a show. enjoy

May: Time to Catch Up

I have to apologize for my tardiness in blog upkeep. It’s been a busy couple of weeks with school and everything. School is almost out and I’ll have all summer to post great things. Until then…

I went to upper Wisconsin /Michigan this weekend for Sarah’s uncle’s wedding on May 1. It was a great time dancing, drinking and meeting the rest of her family. I must have been having too good of time, because I didn’t break out my camera once the whole weekend. Drinks were drunk, dances were danced and ice cream was enjoyed; it was a nice weekend.

May is here, which brings about the beginning of summer. Hopefully it brings about some skate edits too. My birthday is in a few days, pretty excited for that and my kitty turns 3 later this month. Yup, lots to look forward to. Not looking forward to my May term class at the end of the month though.

Also, I’m hyped on this T-shirt I’m picking up this week. Stay up to date with my friend Pete and Corduroy Magazine. (This is the link for the shirt, but you can get to the home page from here as well.)
