Bagi pemakai komputer tentu tidak akan asing dengan istilah processor  ato kalo boleh dibilang otak si komputer itu, pasti mengenal intel ….ya mungkin sebagian besar dari kita memakai intel.

Tapi tahukah anda apa yang membedakan processor dual core, core duo dan core 2 duo ????

Persamaan diantara ketiganya adalah teknologi ato arsitekturnya menggunakan 2 inti processor yang dikemas dalam 1 keping processor, tapi yang membedakan adalah :

DUAL CORE Processor

Perkembangan awal teknologi ini adalah menculnya PENTIUM D, yang merupakan keluaran awal dari processor dengan 2 buah inti.

Processor jenis ini Masih disebut dengan istilah “PENTIUM” karena memang generasinya masih dari perkembangan lanjutan generasi INTEL PENTIUM.

Produksi Processor ini masih menggunakan Teknology “NETBURST” . Jadi PENTIUM D adalah CPU PENTIUM yang Memiliki 2 Buah INTI kelas PENTIUM di produksi dengan teknology 90nm. Kelemahan Jenis Pentium D ini adalah Inti kedua tidak maksimal di gunakan, dan tidak ada pengecekan suhu pada inti kedua.

Dalam penjualannya intel Tidak Menyebut PENTIUM D sebegai CORE DUO processor TAPI menyebutnya PENTIUM D (Dual). istilah inilah yang di indonesia dan kebanyakan pedagang Komputer di rancu-kan dengan istileh INTEL CORE DUO (tanpa ada kata PENTIUM)

CORE DUO

Istilah ini adalah lebih kepada istilah untuk MERK DAGANG INTEL, artinya secara teknis tetap sama dengan DUAL CORE, yaitu dipasangnya 2 core dalam 1 keping CPU. Jadi CORE DUO adalah Istilah dagang dari Intel.

Dan Intel dengan perkembangan teknologi Pembuatan Chip terbaru (65nm) sudah tidak memakai istilah PENTIUM lagi pada processor keluarannya, tapi sudah Mematenkan istilah CORE. Makanya semua processor intel saat ini disebut INTEL CORE.

Artinya apa? intel sudah beralih kepada jenis proceesor yang pembuatannya melalui teknologi 65nm bahkan 45nm dimana processor processor tersebut telah ditanamkan 2 inti didalam 1 keping CPU.

istilah CORE DUO ini melekat pada processor intel DESKTOP E2XXX , atau Processor Mobile T2XXX

Di dalam System operasi Windows XP/Linux processor jenis ini dikenalai sebagai Processor berinti Dua, atau muncul tulisan DUAL Proceesor.

CORE2DUO

Istileh Processor CORE intel yang lain adalah CORE2DUO, yang berarti Processor CORE yang dibagun dengan teknologi 2 Core dengan tambahan fungsi dipasangnnya Cache Memmory pada masing masing Core. Jadi bila CORE DUO masih memakai 1 Cache /L2 untuk Kedua CORE, maka pada CORE2DUO masing masing inti sudah dipasangkan Cache secara sendiri sendiri, yang masih bekerja sama secara paralel.

Perkembangan terakhir dari Intel CORE processor adalah di buatnya processor dengan 4 inti atau disebut juga Intel Core2Quad, Intel coreextreme

É isso aí galera! Estou esperando o meu novo “brinquedo” chegar por aqui. Nada mais, nada menos que um MACBOOK WHITE de 13″ com processador core2duo de 2.0, 3 mega de cash l2, 2 giga de RAM, HD de 120 G, placa de video Geeforce Mobile com 256 compartilhada, enfim, uma puta maquina!

Mas, como nem tudo são rosas, eis-me aqui sentado a quase uma semana esperando a hora em que o meu telefone tocará e uma linda voz feminina falará em alto e bom sol maior: “-Senhor Marcus, seu Mac já está aqui na loja, o senhor deseja vir buscar?”.

Nesse momento, meus caros amigos, provavelmente a moça vai se eespantar, pois ninguem vai responder à pergunta dela, do outro lado da linha, singelamente, o telefone terá caído ao chão, os pássaros voado desesperados, os cachorros começarão a latir em sinfonia sarcástica e um corpo haverá aparecido no meio do meu quarto, onde, minutos depois os bombeiros estarão colocando um disfribilador no peito do infartado: EU!

Deixando a melodramaturgia de lado (é, um dos meus sonhos era, talvez, me tornar um ator…Acho que me daria bem no ramo) gostaria de fazer um pequeno comentário: Caralho, como eu ODEIO esperar!! Não, imaginem a cena: Eu entro em uma ENORME loja, com todos os tipos, marcas, cores e modelos de notebooks que jamais pensei em ver na vida, todos bonitinhos e prontinhos para que alguma alma caridosa os levasse para a casa de PRONTA ENTREGA, e a ANTA PATAGÔNICA AQUI escolhe o UNICO ITEM DA LOJA que não tem de PONTA ENTREGA…É bem a minha cara mesmo, viu! Bom, amanhã completará uma semana de espera e assim o fim da minha espera (espero que eu não infarte de emoção, assim como eu descrevi acima). E para comemorar tudo isso, aguardem, pois eu descreverei em 2 ou 3 posts toda a saga de como eu consegui chegar vivo até a loja onde comprei o mac (sim, foi uma aventura digna de vocês rirem na minha cara)!
