So i picked up this car a few months ago from my little brother.

Afgelopen weekend prezen vrienden de heerlijkheid van het ’s avonds douchen. Het toppunt van genieten: n na een douchepartij in een schoon opgemaakt bed stappen. Zondag heb ik dat scenario eens uitgebreid uitgeprobeerd. Ik heb eerst mijn bed opgemaakt en ben grondig gaan douchen. Moe, maar voldaan, half afgedroogd en met natte haren stapte ik in bed… Het was inderdaad fantastisch.

Toch kijk ik een paar dagen heel anders terug op dit scenario… De volgende dag en nog twee dagen lang na deze nacht waren een complete ramp! Ik liep die dagen rond met haar als een ongeschoren schaap, een pluizige poedel of een blanke kroeskop die nog nooit een Afro cosmeticashop van binnen gezien heeft. Er was niets te beginnen met mijn coupe. Ik heb alles geprobeerd: borstelen, haar vast, in een knot, haarband en diadeem, pet op,… maar irritante pluizige plukjes schaamhaar bleven zich loswringen uit mijn gekapte coupe. Ook verschillende haarverzorgingsproducten die ik losgelaten heb op mijn haar (denk aan crèmevoeding, serum, mousse, wax, gel, haarolie) hielpen niet. Het enige dat ik daarmee bereikte is dat mijn haar uiteindelijk één grote kleverige sliert geworden is. Toen was het duidelijk dat er niets anders op zat dan weer onder de douche te springen.

’s Avonds in een schoon bed stappen is fantastisch. ’s Avonds douchen voor het slapen gaan is ook fijn en zelfs een beetje prikkelend. Kale lezers kan ik het ook alleen maar aanraden. Maar alle andere lezers wil ik graag behoeden voor deze onhandelbare ‘coupe stopcontact’. Voordat je aan dit scenario begint dien je je te bezinnen op de lange termijn effecten. Kan je de verantwoordelijkheid voor de consequenties aan? Neem in ieder geval voorzorgsmaatregelen! Trek je hoofd onder de straal vandaan voordat de douche aan gaat, bind je haar van tevoren vast in een spiraalvormige knot, of schuif een rubberen badmuts over je hoofd. Mijn devies voor het slapen gaan luidt: douche veilig, of douche niet!

Bref, peut importe votre choix de coupe à vin, l’important est d’apprécier le moment et ce que vous buvez. Du vin rouge, pas blanc et pas rosé, rouge pour une meilleure santé.

Ah ! Il faut cependant que je précise que mes papilles gustatives se délectent aussi de tous les autres vins, blancs, liquoreux, champagne, rosés, cuits … Cependant leur rôle sur ma santé est quelque peu différent.

Cadillac’s hero car, the CTS, was designed from the beginning to bring Cadillac into the 21st century and show that they could compete with the likes of BMW and Mercedes.  Introduced as a 2003 model, and redesigned for the 2008 model year, the CTS has indeed shown its competition that America can still build great cars, worthy of the world’s attention.  In fact, the high performance edition of the CTS sedan, called the CTS-V, was pitted against the BMW M5, another purebred sports sedan, and beat it!  This past year, Cadillac announced that they were coming out with a wagon based on the CTS, called the CTS Sport Wagon, which is on sale now.  Today, they announced a new sibling to the CTS and CTS Sport Wagon, called the CTS Coupe.

The CTS Coupe will show up sometime next year as a 2011 model, and other than a few bits of the front end and dashboard, shares only its name and wheelbase with that of the CTS Sedan.  The CTS Coupe fits nicely into the redesigned Cadillac, and given the relative sales success of the CTS, should be a popular car.  With less weight and the same power, expect its driving dynamics to be close to the CTS Sedan.  The CTS Coupe is aimed at fans of coupe styling, drivers who don’t necessarily need the 4 doors or extra room of a sedan.  Cadillac also announced that a “V” edition CTS Coupe would show up in 2010 as well, giving CTS shoppers 5 derivatives to choose from.  It also helps GM spread out research and development costs across the 5 cars, and if sales increase over what the sedan alone sold, then GM’s strategy will have worked.

In the current economy and the recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy that GM went through, some may wonder why GM is choosing to expand its lineup of CTS cars, but given its success so far, especially since the 2008 model went on sale, I think it’s a smart move.  It shows GM’s dedication to Cadillac, and competetiveness in general, as well as a unified design theme for all CTS-branded cars.  Anyone who looks at the CTS Sedan, Coupe and Sport Wagon should instantly recognize them all as Cadillacs, which is good for Cadillac, especially as more and more cars look alike.  I expect the coupe to boost Cadillac’s sales, although by how much is still uncertain.

After slagging off Peugeot, and especially the 3008 quite ruthlessly, here’s an entry to prove I’m not a mindless Peugeot hater. The above image came from here, and the fanfair is grand.

Take a look at Peugeot’s new baby coupé! Auto Express has learned that the Lion is getting ready to roar into the small sports car market with this sensational 2+2, which boasts Ferrari style at an affordable price tag.

Phwoar! A insy-bitsy Ferrari! I’m being a little sarky, but let’s be honest: it looks good. Gone are the ridiculous Peugeot grills and exaggeratedly swept-back headlamps. This seems promising! Let’s read on:

Small coupés are big news! You don’t need big engines and a huge price tag to have fun, which is why pint-sized sports cars are making a comeback.

And we’re then treated to a list of future coupés that fill the above criteria, which stupidly include a MINI Coupé (a stupid concept, since the MINI is already coupé-ish, and if you look at the pictures it resembles a MINI that’s previously had cartload of bricks tipped on it) and a Toyota Prius Coupé (?!?!?? I thought a criterion was it had to be fun and pint-sized? How can a bloated, soulless object like a Prius ever be either?).

But is the news of this Peugeot coupé too good to be true? Yes. Sifting through the comments, an interesting datum popped up. The Hyundai Veloster Coupé concept looks suspiciously similar. In fact, it’s obvious this Peugeot coupé was Photoshopped from the Hyundai, which gives us two possibilities; either Peugeot is teaming up with Hyundai to give us a common platform car; or the most certain, AutoExpress has been duped. Besides, after the announcement of the 308 RC Z, it would be stupid for Peugeot to compete with itself before the 308 RC Z was even available.

But fear not! If you, for some unfathomable, irrational, bile-swelling reason have a fancy for the Lion brand, Peugeot have decided to make a car that, at first glance doesn’t completely suck.

Dubbed the 508, it marks the return of the “5″ at the beginning of the designation, and harks back to my personal Peugeot favourite, the 504. It’s based on the RC HyMotion 4 concept of 2008, which shows Peugeot at least manages to make good use of its nicer concepts, unlike, say, Citroën, who ignore the C-Airplay. But I digress. This 508 car looks crackingly good, and not just for a Peugeot. It reminds me of an old Bugatti four door saloon, the EB112, which never saw the light of day. It has the same sort of profile and fundamental concept.

In conclusion, it’s a sign that upcoming Peugeots may not be dreary crap after all.

I think coupes are almost as sexy as s30z’s. I may end up sellin my S10 Silvia an buildin a clean SR powered, 5 lug coupe exactly like this.

When I was a freshman in college I studied abroad, MY FIRST SEMESTER, in London. It was the single most influential experience of my life so far. It was then that I decided I wanted to be a pastry chef, instead of an actress.

If any of you are planning to go to London, I figured I’d compile some special desserts you can try and have while there. I also went to Scotland and Belgium, so there will be a few treats listed from those lovely cities as well.

If you don’t plan on going, hopefully this list will inspire you to do so. I can’t be sure of the exact addresses of these bakeries/etc., but a quick search on google should do the trick. Honestly I found some of the best stuff simply walking around.

So here it goes…London = Sweets.

Though there is a long history of British puddings dating back to the beginning of time, London contains virtually every kind of dessert one can imagine. France definitely has an influence…

And Italy via gelato. This is the Banana Royale sundae from Morelli’s Gelato on the ground floor of Harrod’s department store. It is absolutely essential that you visit this place. The clothes are not really geared towards young women, but the food halls sure are. Room upon room of different foods, from chocolates to baked goods to coffee to cheese…god I miss it so much. Anyway, just go for the sundaes, if anything. The Banana Royale is made with vanilla ice cream, sliced bananas, various sauces, and a chocolate cup filled with caramel to drench your sundae in even more saccharine bliss. Be advised that the average price for one is between 11 and 13 pounds; they’re so large, however, that they can be split easily. Naturally I didn’t go down that path.

Just try to absorb this for a second.

Speaking of ice cream, I demand that you visit Garlic and Shots. Everything about is garlic, from the coffee to the vodka to the garlic ice cream drenched in honey. I dragged my two friends to go there in the freezing cold just to have some, and my friends, it was worth it. It has all of the pleasant mellowness of a garlic clove roasted in the oven, and the honey only helps to increase the lovely taste. The staff is a bit rough around the edges, but ignore them while you follow up your ice cream with a garlic vodka shot .

The next two pictures are of more traditional British sweets: Shortbread and a citrus cake for high tea at the fabulous Kensington Palace. It’s not that much money to have well-dressed waiters treat you like a queen and kiss your ass

Now on to Scotland! I stayed in Edinburgh for the weekend, and the desserts were certainly more traditional than what London had to offer. I don’t have a picture, but visit Chocolate Soup! It’s essentially a hot chocolate shop, but the “soups” are very rich, thick, and have a number of flavors to choose from.

Here’s a picture of sticky toffee pudding I had at a pub. It’s probably the most unsightly thing you’ll ever encounter, but it’s delectably sweet and provokes all who eat it to resort to licking the plate clean of the lava-like sauce that encompasses it.

And here we have flourless chocolate cake. Standard by anyone’s definition, I wanted to add it to the post to assure everyone that accessible American-style desserts are to be found in the Scottish highlands. And no doubt, this was a delicious piece of cake.

And a final word on the desserts of Belgium.  Chocolate. Really, there’s little else. In the small city of Brussels, every other store is a chocolate shop, almost all of which feature sweet and creamy handheld replicas of Manneken Pis – that little rascal.

The coupe is another thing found on nearly every Brussels menu (that I could somewhat read, anyway.) Head over to the restaurant Drug Opera and you’ll be happy to read the long list of coupes – essentially ice cream sundaes – on the menu. I was able to ascertain that the coupe I ordered contained mango and vanilla. Other than that, I simply regarded it as a delight to the senses. If any of you go to Brussels, let me know if this wacky place is still there

It looks tremendous, and it was!

There was a large gathering of Fiat Coupes. I’ve never been a fan of them but I must admit there were some very nice examples, and some very fast!

Good old track 911.

This graphite 2005 Infiniti g35 coupe is a rebuilt/salvaged title car that runs perfect. It has 72,xxx miles on it and has 20inch TSW Thruxtons with 255 Toyos all around. It also has an aem cold air intake and Tein lowering kit. It has the refreshed 05 interior, moonroof, 6 cd changer that plays mp3, tinted windows, and automatic transmission (tiptronic). It was in a front end collision and fully repaired and has no frame damage, alignment issues, or motor problems. There is also a minor dent on the passenger rear quarter panel (the paint is fully intact and undamaged). The interior is black leather, has the premium Bose audio system, is in excellent condition and was never smoked in.
