Neve Campbell speaks on the latest for “Scream 4″. She says now the original cast is officially signed on, they still need to wait for a script to come in. So this means the plot and synopsis for “Scream 4″ hasn’t been released to the public just yet.

I’m sure everyone is curious to see what the 4th one will be about. I’m also curious.

No, it’s not Sgt. Pepper, it’s Courtney.  Not sure what her big emergency was this weekend and why it was necessary to do a press release about the temporary shut down of Cougar Town.  Who would have really known and that way you could really keep your private life private.

Regardless, despite the surgery, the lifting, the tucking and the injecting, there are moments with C.C. looks her age and this is one of them.  It’s like a Madame Tussaud replica of who she is.

No sé qué tal estará, pero espero que no lo estropeeen, porque Scream, ha sido de las más entretenidas que han hecho últimamente.

Soy una gran aficionada al cine de miedo, y, aunque no digo que no hubiera a veces exceso de sangre también.  No es tan gore (vísceras, y todo eso) como lo que se viene haciendo últimamente.

Vamos, para que os hagáis una idea, mi peli favorita es “El exorcista” (hablando de género de terror, claro )

Yo tenía mis dudas sobre si 2012 de Roland Emmerich iba a ser un éxito en taquilla, pero lo ha sido a nivel mundial, más de 200 millones en todo el mundo en su primer fin de semana, haciendo sólo en Estados Unidos más de 65 millones. Así que no podemos negar el éxito de la película que retrata el fin del mundo, y que yo me muero de ganas por ver, y que todavía no he podido. De todas formas, está claro que la próxima semana estas cifras se igualarán o se aumentarán (esta última opción la más factible) por la saga Crepúsculo: Luna Nueva, que se estrena hoy en España, y el viernes en el resto del mundo.

Dejando las recaudaciones, es hora de hablar de dos 4 partes en marcha. Una muy clara y la otra aunque se lleva diciendo desde hace tiempo, hasta que no la vea no me lo creo. Estaba claro de la existencia de Spiderman 4. Hay muchos rumores sobre los villanos a los que se enfrentará el héroe. El rumor que ha saltado últimamente es que habrán varios malos, y uno podría ser La gata negra, personaje al que opta Rachel McAdams (El Diario de Noa, Vuelo Nocturno). Y la otra es, atención, Scream 4. Mi saga de terror favorita vuelve a la carga, no con una 4 película, sino que con una trilogía entera (o sea, 4, 5 y 6) si sigue teniendo éxito. Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox y David Arquette repiten.

No puedo seguir sin decir esta curiosidad, habrá un cameo en la película del Equipo A de uno de los miembros de la banda de la popular serie. El actor Dwight Schultz (Murdock), aparecerá en la película haciendo un cameo. Recordar que la película, está protagonizada por Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel y Sharlto Copely (que interpreta a Murdock).

Antes de que se estrene su nueva cinta (Invictus), Clint Eastwood ya está rodando la siguiente, se trata de Hereafter, que se ha descrito como una película con elementos sobrenaturales, y estará protagonizada (al igual que Invictus) por Matt Damon.

El nuevo proyecto de Andy García como director es un biopic sobre Hemingway al que Anthony Hopkins, le dará vida. El propio García y Annette Bening le acompañan en la cinta que se llamará “Hemingway and Fuentes”.

El spin off se Shrek ya tiene fecha de estreno. En noviembre de 2011, El gato con botas verá la luz. La cinta protagonizada por el personaje salido de Shrek contará con la voz original de la saga, Antonio Banderas, al que le acompañará Salma Hayek.

Y por último, si empezamos con Roland Emmerich, vamos acabar con él, y con una noticia sorprendente. Anuncia que quiere hacer no una segunda parte, sino una tercera también de Independence Day. ¿Cómo os quedáis?

De acordo com a Folha Online, Courtney Cox, a eterna estrela de “Friends”, volta agora ao terror no filme “Pânico 4″:

O filme, em fase de pré-produção, está sendo escrito por Kevin Williamson, autor dos dois primeiros filmes da trilogia.

Cox, que atuou nos três primeiros filmes da série, conheceu o marido, o também ator David Arquette, 38, nas filmagens do primeiro “Pânico”, em 1996.

Courtney Cox berättade nu på måndag att hon sällar sig till rollgalleriet i Scream 4 och återigen gör sin gamla roll som reportern Gale Weathers.

Hon säger att författaren som skrev de första två filmerna, Kevin Williamsson,kommer att se till att filmerna håller samma stil som den ursprungliga trilogin. 

Dessutom förnekar hon rykten att hennes rollkaraktär och reportern Gale Weathers och Dwight “Dewey” Riley kommer att mördas i inledningscenen.

Well, en ny trilogi, gamla skådisar, samma manusförfattare… men ännu ingen regissör…. Vi får väl se vad tiden utvisar.

Jag minns när min morfar var ledsen en gång. Han brukade alltid plocka smultron och hallon på somrarna, vilket det är skamlöst gott om i Södermanland. Han hade som vana att på vägen hem bjuda barn på bären ifall han stötte på några. Någon gång på 90-talet höjdes dock beredskapen för pedofiler framförallt efter de bestialiska härvorna i Belgien. Och en vacker sommardag när morfar skulle bjuda några barn på smultron blev de vettskrämda och sprang så fort de kunde därifrån. Min morfar uppfattades som en ful gubbe, som barn sedan 90-talet lärt sig att akta sig för. (På 80-talet när jag växte upp hade vi gott om fula gubbar som ingen gjorde något åt men också var rätt ofarliga när allt kom omkring).

Idag är vi vana vid fula gubbar. Inte bara de malignt fula gubbarna, utan även gubbsnusk som klär av yngre tjejer och kvinnor med ögonen. Låter en hand smeka en oförsiktig stjärt på tunnelbanan. Som glider fram med glänsande panna och intensiva ögon och vill bjuda på drinkar till “lilla fröken”. Visst är det ute att vara äldre man på jakt efter yngre kvinna? Det finns få figurer som fått ta mer stryk på senare år, som är mer ute. “Jag hatar dig ditt äckliga jävla gubbslem” heter det som bekant. Ja, äldre män och yngre kvinnor är inte en darling i popkulturen just nu.

Däremot har begrepp som toyboys, MILFs och cougars blivit hetare och hetare. I nya tv-serien Cougar town spelar Courtney Cox en kvinna vars äktenskap gått i kras och nu vill återuppleva de ungdomsår hon aldrig hade på grund av ett barn hon fick tidigt. Hon följer med mer vana cougars ut på klubbar för att hitta yngre killar. Hon finner rätt fort en fuckbuddy/toyboy som är kanske hälften så gammal. Stämningen i serien är uppsluppen och åldersskillnaden framställs som afrodisiaka mer än som något problematiskt (även om Courtney Cox visar upp skamveck, bilringar och rynkor på ett sätt som är mycket ovanligt i hollywood).

Tidigare i år sändes även The Cougar som är en populär reality show där tjugo unga män (runt 20 år) tävlar om den framgångsrika fastighetsmäklaren Stacey Anderson som är skild med fyra barn (se även avsnittet om den fiktiva serien MILF island i den verkligatv-serien 30 Rock). Upplägget var detsamma som i The Bachelorette. Och jag börjar undra vilken som är den primära målgruppen för den här typen av serier? Är det äldre kvinnor som vill ha glada ungtuppar med synliga magrutor, slät hy och otvivelaktiga erektioner? Eller är det yngre män som efter idoga nattfantasier om lärarinnor och kompisars mammor efterfrågar mer mer mer?

Fiktiva serien MILF Island (från tv-serien 30 Rock)

Det är kanske rätt så oskyldigt. Och jämställdhetsaspekten får man aldrig glömma (amen!). Men ändå, är det verkligen alldeles särskilt fantastiskt med äldre kvinnor som tar sig yngre älskare?

En nära vän till mig är mycket snygg och stilig på alla sätt. När man är ute med honom kommer det alltid fram tjejer och vill visa sina MTV-moves.  Flertalet gånger har jag även varit med om att äldre kvinnor gått fram och börjat ta för sig lite på honom och viska sexuella inviter med Clint Eastwood-röst. Till hans stora obehag. När han provar kläder råkar butikskvinnorna ofta öppna skynket för att se hur “kläderna” sitter.

Själv arbetade jag länge som telefonförsäljare och hade egentligen bara en enda riktigt stor kundgrupp: kvinnor mellan trettio och femtio år. De var alltid minst lika intresserade av hur jag såg ut, hur lång jag var och om jag tränade som av tvättmedlet Afrodite. Inte mig emot, man säljer bäst genom att etablera sig i umgängeskretsar och mina kvinnliga kunders väninnor visste ofta vem jag var redan innan jag hann ringa dem.

Demi Moore gifter sig med 16 år yngre Ashton Kutcher. Madonna dejtar 22-åring. I tv-serie efter tv-serie tar sig kvinnor yngre älskare. Det är inte något problem i sig men reaktioner har väldigt mycket ett drag av revanchism över sig. Och vi förväntas inte bara notera det utan även aktivt stödja och vurma för det. Och triumfatoriska skribenter skriver att Ulf Lundell kan slänga sig i väggen för nu är det kvinnornas tur minnsann!

Meanwhile på playan i Brasilien, i Gambia och på Jamaica lägger just en blekfet vit västerländsk kvinna sin hand på en alldeles för ung mans lår. Hon kommer köpa honom en gåva för de sexuella tjänster han utför för henne. Hon kommer köpa honom kläder för de komplimanger han lyckas få att låta äkta. Har hon inte förtjänat att få känna sig åtrådd? Hon som alltid jobbat och slitit. Har inte hon förtjänat njutning med en vacker ung man som säger att hon ser ut som Madonna? Kvinnors sexturism till framförallt Sydamerika och Västafrika har samtidigt med cougar/milf-fenomenet blivit mer uppmärksammat även det troligen är hyfsat orelaterat. Kanske allra bäst i filmen Mot södern där en 55-årig vit fransyska inleder en relation med en 18-årig haitier (se även reportage som här och här). Det som är slående med kvinnors sexturism är att de flesta själva inte klarar av att erkänna för sig själva eller andra vad de håller på med. De vet att det inte är helt normalt kanske, men vill inte kalla det för sexköp. De väljer att förtränga maktassymetrin som präglar deras “relationer” med de strandraggande ynglingarna kanske just för att de är kvinnor och ser det hela som ett bejakande av deras sexualitet.

Från "Mot Södern"

Självklart anknyter det bara delvis till ämnet toyboys och cougars. Det finns självklart många fler män som köper sex än kvinnor, och fler män som sexturistar i Sydostasien än kvinnor i Västafrika. Stötestenen är hur vi som samhälle förväntas reagera på äldre kvinnor som kladdar på unga män och rika madamer som köper “negergossar” i kolonialländerna. Kvinnlig sexturism är kanske lite pinsamt på sin höjd. Äldre kvinnor med yngre män är Samantha i Sex and the city och vi förväntas alla säga “more power to her”! Var tog makt-aspekten vägen? Är det verkligen alldeles okej med en relation mellan en 20-åring och en 40-åring? Risken att bli utnyttjad är mycket stor för den yngre som saknar både erfarenhet, ställning eller skinn på näsan. Och det är inte vackrare för att gamlingen är kvinna istället för man. Det är inte särskilt pittoreskt när någon med ett mäktigt kontaktnät känner sig försmådd och den unga älskaren/älskarinnan står där och känner sig rädd och förpliktigad. Stiligheten och Odjuret.

Nu har jag låtit som en ålders-moralist. Age ain’t nothing but a number och allt det där gäller trots allt. För visst finns det ju relationer med åldersskillnad som funkar bra, även korta sexuella sådana. Frågan jag inte funnit svar på är om the cougar är en manlig eller kvinnlig fantasi? Och om det verkligen sker så ofta som man nuförtiden får intrycket av.

Men sluta dalta med tantsnusk! En omoralisk kvinna är omoralisk trots att hon är kvinna. Och det finns inget försonande med tantslemmet som gnider sig över stränderna runtom i världen. Inte heller är det mer okej att utnyttja unga män än vad det är att utnyttja unga kvinnor. Men visst är det nog rätt kul för många att ha sex med äldre kvinnor och äldre män, och sedan i äldre år har man sex med yngre män och yngre kvinnor. Så är cirkeln sluten.

Jeg har dårlig bloggsamvittighet. Det er ikke det at jeg ikke har noe å skrive om, jeg vet bare ikke hva jeg skal skrive om det jeg egentlig har lyst til å skrive om.

Jeg er for eksempel i full gang med ny Dexter-sesong, der John Lithgow er knallgod, kald og kalkulert i rollen som Dexters nemesis, The Trinity Killer. Jeg har også stiftet bekjentskap med en vittig Courtney Cox i Cougar Town. Jeg gikk faktisk så langt som å tvitre (!!) at Cox er høstens morsomste, noe som skapte umiddelbar reaksjon. Synes du virkelig Cougar Town er morsommere enn Modern Family? Ja, egentlig, for etter piloten å dømme, er karakterne i Modern Family endimensjonale og karikerte. Likevel måtte jeg gi serien en sjanse. Jeg slo derfor på eple-tven og lastet ned det som har blitt vist på amerikansk tv til nå, og konkluderte raskt med at det er mye god dialog og absurd morsomme situasjoner i denne serien, selv om jeg virkelig kan klare meg uten trebarnspappa Phil Dunphy, spilt av Ty Burrell. Han overspiller irriterende pappa som prøver å være kul. Slitsomt. Da er homseparet med kinesisk adoptivbaby en frisk, om noe paranoid, kontrast som begynner å sitte. Her vil jeg se mer. Ellers er Grey´s Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives og Heroes for lengst i gang igjen, og her er fruene den største skuffelsen hittil, mens plottet og historiene på sykehuset etterhvert har klart å bli interessante og gode igjen etter en miserable sesongpremiere (bortsett fra de fem første minuttene). Flash Forward var en av seriene jeg hadde størst forventning til etter screeningen vår på TV 2 i vår. Etter en knallpilot, virker det nå som om det er manusforfatterne som har hatt et flash forward (en framtidsvisjon) i beruset tilstand, for karakterene er like tamme som varm cola light og plottet like engasjerende som å se maling tørke. Katastrofe.

Jeg har også nettopp lest tre gode bøker: Mattis Øybøs Karin og Kareem, Arne Lygres Min døde mann og Kjersti Annesdotter Skomsvolds Jo fortere jeg går, jo mindre er jeg. Alle tre romanene forteller sterke, nære historier om menneskers relasjoner til hverandre, deres styrker og svakheter, samt om deres frykt for seg selv, hverandre og samfunnet. Fine leseropplevelser som anbefales på det sterkeste.

Scream: looking back, this film is totally bizarre. A horror movie about ‘teens’ being aware that they’re living out a stereotypical slasher scenario. Aimed at fans of the genre it’s full of clichés and a classic horror references; both explicitly and through visual homage. Although it’s very gory the humor and self-referencing irony ruins the potential scariness of the film. The high level of ‘borrowed’ content also detracts from how unique the concept of scream was. Ultimately, it became the phenomenon that kick-started a new wave of horror films (& parodies) and although it’s a bit self-indulgent, I take my hat off to Craven for continually pushing the envelope. It also left me wondering what ever happened to the perky Neve Campbell and Rose McGowan? An instant classic that’s entertaining, original, quotable and is ingrained in so many peoples brains all these years on. There’s word on Scream 4 coming out next year, better dig out your box set! Do you like scary movies?

Once the seasons change, I never leave home without a bright-colored scarf.  It makes your outfits look super chic and stylish.  Courtney’s look will look amazing matched with a pair of ballet flats or even a pair of flat knee-high boots.  The leather jacket is a must have for this fall.  It’s the perfect topper to every look during this chilly weather we are having.

Dealing with Funny Business

Four years ago, television insiders were rocked by a fear that the half-hour comedy genre was on its final legs. The field that was once defined by “I Love Lucy,” “Three’s Company” and “Cheers” could not hold an audience. Take, for example, the case of NBC’s powerhouse block of “Must See TV” Thursday. This block defined sitcoms for the latter half of the ‘90s, thanks to hits such as “Friends,” “Seinfeld,” “Just Shoot Me,” “Frasier” and “Will and Grace.”  Once “Friends” and “Seinfeld” ended in 2004 and “Will and Grace” signed off in 2006, however, multi-camera comedies – those taped in front of a studio audience – were suddenly endangered. CBS had launched the moderately successful “Two and a Half Men” in 2003; for the next six years, this would be one of only two multi-camera comedies to make it past three seasons.

With the demise of the multi-camera comedy, luckily, came the rise of the single-camera bracket. Single-camera comedies usually don’t use laugh tracks. The humor is portrayed more subtly and the cameramen have a longer creative rope to zoom in and out and experiment with angles. Popular examples of multi-camera comedies are “The Office,” “Arrested Development” and “Malcolm in the Middle.” While critics love this genre, the broader audience historically does not, hence the cancellation of “Arrested Development” despite its strong cult following. It used to be that networks needed more patience with multi-camera comedies. Whereas single-camera sitcoms either found audiences quickly or not at all, multi-cameras’ greatest strength was word of mouth, and this required time. This fall season, however, is changing all the rules.

2008 entry “The Big Bang Theory” regenerated America’s love of comedy, and this season ABC has miraculously managed to launch a successful two-hour comedy block. While The CW eliminated comedy from its primetime schedule altogether, it’s undoubtedly a strong field for the other networks. So, which honeys bring the funny and which has-beens are wearing thin?

“She doesn’t even know I exist.”

If you’ve never heard of a TV show, it’s understandable. But if Doc Sonya has barely heard about it, you know it’s bad.

• Brothers
  It’s a new comedy on Fox. Comes on during what TV insiders so fondly refer to as “the Friday night death slot.” The network obviously doesn’t want it to succeed, so why should you?

• ‘Til Death
  This show is still on? Really??

Time to Break Up With…

• Two and a Half Men
  Why do I feel so revolted by “Two and a Half Men”? It’s not the fact that it’s a “dude” comedy that objectifies women; I actually couldn’t care less about that. My dislike probably stems from “Men’s” lack of comedic class – neither the crude jokes nor the scenes in bed nor the dialogue is refined. There’s a little something called taste, and “Men” leaves one in your mouth comparable to vinegar.Bottom Line: It’s sad that this is still one of the highest rated comedies in primetime.

• Accidentally on Purpose
  On par with “Two and a Half Men,” this tired concept should never have made it to the air in the first place. “Dharma & Greg”’s Jenna Elfman is wasted here as the “cougar” who gets knocked up by a twenty-something dude. Unfunny dialogue and stereotypical guy humor ensue (if the writers want to discover the proper execution of guy humor, they should watch “The Hangover”).Bottom Line: Bor-ing. Turn off the TV after “How I Met Your Mother” airs.

One-Night Stands:

Ultimately forgettable, but momentarily entertaining.

• Ugly Betty
  I loved “Ugly Betty” when it premiered as a bright, quirky comedy in 2006. Much like “Heroes,” however, “Betty” fell into a sophomore slump and has since reached only mediocrity. The show now lacks the charm and whimsy that made it so delightful during its first season.Bottom Line: While Daniel has no memorable storyline to speak of and Betty’s romantic entanglements are dull and repetitive, Wilhelmina, Marc and Amanda continue to bring the inspired comedy the show sought its first season. Dump the other characters and give these three their own show.

• Gary Unmarrried
  Another uninspired comedy on CBS’ schedule. While “Gary” is certainly more refined than “Men” and “Accidentally on Purpose,” it’s hardly a superior selection. It easily identifies with other marginally successful dad-centered comedies of past years: “The War at Home,” “According to Jim” and “Yes, Dear” come to mind.Bottom Line: Americans have proven that there is indeed an audience for these sub-par shows, and they thus continue to survive. Why not try something saucier, though?
  

Casual Dating:

“You’re pretty funny. Plus, you paid for dinner. I guess we can go out again.”

• The Middle
  “The Middle” centers on the Hecks, a middle-class family in Indiana. While Patricia Heaton is the star, funnyman Neil Flynn, who previously played the Janitor on “Scrubs,” is my reason for watching. I’d say “The Middle” could be appointment TV, but with so many satisfying comedies out there, a girl can only watch so much.Bottom Line: Reminiscent of “Malcolm in the Middle,” “The Middle” demonstrates how mixing kooky with funny plus a tinge of heartfelt emotion makes for an entertaining half-hour.
• Cougar Town
  I’m sure you’ve heard of this Courtney Cox show. Question is, is it any good? Answer: Eh… “Cougar Town” tries for the laughs a smidge too hard, and the slapstick bits don’t quite fit in with today’s comedy demands. However, there’s no denying Cox’s charm, and as son Travis, Dan Byrd’s downplayed comedic timing reminds me of Michael Cera’s spot-on underacting on “Arrested Development.”Bottom Line: Not a bad show, but not a standout, either.

• The New Adventures of Old Christine
  Julia Louis-Dreyfus of “Seinfeld” fame plays Christine, a divorced mom who runs a gym. Her sidekick is the hilarious Wanda Sykes. I’m going to be honest with you: I’ve never seen this show. It’s shameful, because there’s no real excuse for it. But I’m going to endorse it because everyone who’s ever seen this show loves it. Plus, it comes with a top recommendation from my brother, and I’m OK with trusting Doc Sunny on this one.Bottom Line: Whether I’ve seen it or not, this show has Wanda Sykes. Come on, people, watch it. She’s quite possibly one of the funniest comedians ever.

Long Term Dating:

Comedy depends so much on personal preference, so it’s hard to figure out which shows to hate on and which to brag about. But the following are keepers. Girl Scout’s honor.

• How I Met Your Mother
  This year has been a breakout year for “Mother” scene-stealer Neil Patrick Harris. The guy starred in Joss Whedon’s online saga “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” He finally hosted an episode of “Saturday Night Live,” as well as the Tony Awards and the Emmy Awards, and he garnered an Emmy nomination himself for his work on “mother.” Folks, Doogie Howser has grown up. But Harris, as legendary/awesome playboy Barney Stinson, is only one element that makes “How I Met Your Mother” so fantastic.The ensemble cast includes Alyson Hannigan (“Buffy”! “American Pie”!); Josh Radnor; Cobie Smulders; and Jason Segel, who you probably know as “that guy” from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “I Love You, Man,” and “Knocked Up.” Together, these five comedians bring us the multi-camera, next generation version of “Friends.” These friends live in NYC, hang out in MacLaren’s Bar (sorry, Central Perk), and make bold use of flashbacks to bring us one of the most subtly entertaining comedies we’ve seen in years.

  Bottom Line: “It’s gonna be legen… wait for it… and I hope you’re not lactose intolerant, because the second half of that word is dairy!”-Barney, “How I Met Your Mother”

• The Big Bang Theory
  You’ve probably at some point (quietly) laughed at a nerd for something he or she said. “The Big Bang Theory” thankfully allows us to laugh at nerds loudly and proudly, thanks to a stock of sitcom characters who are nutty, naïve and endearingly neurotic. Good for a laugh are Raj Koothrappali, an Indian stereotype with a thick accent, bad dress sense and the inability to speak in front of women; Howard Wolowitz, a short Jewish man who dresses in bold colors and will do anything to be with a woman; and Leonard and Penny, the two characters we can most easily relate to.

Jim Parsons, however, steals the show as Sheldon Cooper, Leonard’s socially awkward physicist roommate who neurotically must eat at the same restaurant every night, depending on which day of the week it is, cannot discern sarcasm and always settles a dispute with a good round of Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock: “Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock…

Bottom Line: …and as it always has, rock crushes scissors.”

• Modern Family
  ABC’s breakout comedy follows three families, related in some way or another, over the course of their daily activities. Sound dull? It could be, except “Modern Family” is the first show to successfully mix elements of multi-camera and single-camera comedies, so along with the blatantly hilarious lines, there’s a slew of dialogue so witty that one can’t help but laugh. My favorite part is Ty Burrell as Phil, whose over-the-top attempts at being the “cool” dad mock everything our generation is about. With possibly the most laugh-out-loud moments of any comedy on TV right now, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not watching.Bottom Line: “I’m a cool dad, that’s my thang. I’m hip, I surf the web, I text. LOL: laugh out loud, OMG: oh my god, WTF: why the face.” (cut to Phil doing the dance to “High School Musical’s” “We’re All in this Together.”)

• Glee
  I’m sure you’ve heard of “Glee” by now, what with its musical numbers ripping up the iTunes chart week after week. Combining America’s love for undiscovered talent with nutty plotlines and distinctive high school personalities, “Glee” is broadcast television’s scripted answer to reality TV. What I like best about “Glee” is that it’s not a show focused on singing. It’s a character-centered dramedy with musical numbers sprinkled in. While the story about Will’s wife Terri pretending to be pregnant is frustrating, Jane Lynch’s portrayal of maniacal cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester more than makes up for it.Bottom Line: “I’ll often yell at homeless people, ‘Hey, how’s that homelessness working out for you? Give not being homeless a try!’” -Sue, explaining that people should be motivated to better themselves.

• Community / Parks & Recreation / The Office / 30 Rock
  Like I said, NBC’s “Must See TV” Thursday was the place to be in the ‘90s, and its revamped “Comedy Night Done Right” is no different. Each of these multi-camera comedies not only defines but also glorifies the genre. There’s no need to expound on “The Office”; I’m sure every college student has seen it at least once (“that’s what she said!”).“30 Rock” isn’t as popular, but it really should be. Every character is a standout. My favorite is Alec Baldwin as Jack Donaghy, VP of East Coast Television for NBC (probably because I want his job one day). “30 Rock” never hesitates to mock NBC or television or politics or anything else for that matter. Not only is “30 Rock” bold, it is also smart, never insulting the audience or throwing jokes in our face. Much of the humor isn’t in the dialogue – it’s visual (just when Jack says “I need your guidance” and reaches for a picture of Jesus on his desk, he picks up the one behind Jesus… of Nixon.)

• Parks & Recreation
  When Amy Poehler vehicle “Parks & Rec” debuted last year, it was shaky at best: the scripts weren’t quite funny and the acting was too forced. This season, however, the show has found its legs. Sometime, when America quit watching, “Parks & Rec” got funny. Poehler’s grown into her role, and the standout cast of supporting players now receives the emphasis it deserves.

• Community

“Community” is the 2009 entry into NBC’s Thursday night comedy line-up, and if its ratings hold (or grow!), it will round-out the comedy block perfectly for years to come. Like the other comedies, “Community”’s greatest strength is the ensemble cast, led by “The Soup”’s Joel McHale, as manipulative lawyer Jeff who’s back in community college because it was finally discovered that his degree came not from Columbia University, but Colombia, South America. This show is, I kid you not, hilarious. The best comedic pairing is undoubtedly Abed and Troy, and the executive producers have realized this: they now dedicate the final thirty seconds of each episode to an Abed-Troy gimmick, be it rapping in Spanish, taking over the school’s PA system or talking in a Batman growl.

Ghost Face está de volta!

Nos anos 90, um filme tornou-se um sucesso e ressuscitou o terror-suspense-teen, dando origem a vários outros filmes do gênero. Estamos falando de Pânico, dirigido pelo mestre Wes Craven e estrelado por Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox e David Arquette. Agora, se você acha que a série tinha acabado no último capítulo da trilogia, está muito enganado meu caro. Está confirmado o Pânico 4.

O trio principal já está confirmado e, segundo o roteirista da série Kevin Williamson, a trama se passará em Woodsboro (cenário do primeiro filme) anos depois do último capítulo. Campbell, Cox e Arquette repetem os seus personagens, mas a segunda trilogia será guiada por novos integrantes.

Será que o Ghost Face volta por cima, ou a série deveria ter continuado encerrada? Vale a pena esperar para ver!

C’est la tendance sociologico-pop du moment. Et comme d’habitude, elle nous vient des États-Unis. Après l’acronyme rigolo, mais un brin misogyne, Milf (Mother I Like to Fuck) voici la Cougar (de l’américain « cougar », puma en français).
Pour résumer ce que le terme recouvre, une courte histoire : « Comment appelle-t-on un homme qui drague des femmes plus jeunes que lui ?… Un homme. »
« Comment appelle-t-on une femme qui drague les hommes plus jeunes qu’elle ?… Une Cougar. »
Née d’un triple phénomène : émancipation de la femme, accroissement des divorces, adulescence généralisée… la cougar attitude à déjà ses sites, films et séries de référence (voir l’article de nos confrères Les Inrock.com).

Comme Cougar Town, nouvelle série de ABC, dans laquelle Courtney Cox, après avoir été le fantasme de nos jeunes années dans Friends pourrait bien devenir le poil à gratter des suivantes.
Mais à GQ on a décidé que ce phénomène nous intéresse sans nous préoccuper. Dans le fond, passé la première blessure d’amour propre de se voir préférer un male plus jeune, cette tendance cougar participe d’une tendance plus large qui veut que « l’homme est une femme comme les autres » (où l’inverse).

Se ha revelado que Scott Foley participará en 3 episodios de la comedia de ABC, Cougar Town.

Foley, mejor conocido por su participación en Felicity y The Unit, interpretará a un hombre de negocios  que tiene planeado invertir en propiedades. Recaerá sobre Jules Cobb (Courtney Cox) mostrarle casas y terrenos en el pequeño

Foley, habría sido invitado a participar en la serie por su creador Bill Lawrence, con quien ya trabajo anteriormente en Scrubs. Su personaje podría convertirse en uno que veamos de nuevo ya que la vida personal de Jules apenas comienza a ganar impulso y todavía tiene mucho camino por recorrer antes de estabilizarse de nuevo.

Los episodios de Foley en Cougar Town todavía no tienen fecha de estreno confirmada.

“In the final act, all bets are off.” Says Patrick Dempsey’s Detective Kincaid in the third installment of the popular horror series Scream.

His character is joined by a handful of new characters for the new sequel. Dempsey’s Detective is on the case as a new killer is knocking off cast members of the fictional movie, “Stab 3″.

Familiar faces like Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Liev Schrieber all return for another go with the man in the spook mask. And one of these key characters will die before the movie is done.

This sequel of Scream is a lot more in tune with the original film then the second film. The second film had more gore and terror then this film. What made the first so enjoyable was its mixture of humor and horror.

And the humor seems to be back for this sequel. Putting aside the classic styled horror scene involving voluptuous Jenny McCarthy, Scream 3 has a lot of new horror gimmicks and surprises to offer.

As is important in all films that try to end with a trilogy, Scream 3 brings us full circle and back to Woodsboro. Diving deep into the mysterious past of Sidney Prescott’s mother, the film brings back the cast and a new secret. This secret is what is at the heart of the film.

What is great about Scream 3 was how it did return to its roots and didn’t hit us over the head with a ludicrous villain like in the second film.

All the new-comers to the trilogy aid to the chemistry and aren’t just fresh meat. Scream 3 is a great wrap up for the series.

Why are CoCo Sr and Fergie posing together?  No clue but I love a two-fer.  Ms. Cox looks elegante but a tad dowdy in her 70’s era strapless dress.  Fergie looks like she’s ready to take flight at any moment.  Oh, I think I see why they were posed together.  No threat that one was going to look better than the other.

Just when you lost all hope, a “Friends” reunion might be more possible than ever. Lisa Kudrow is set to guest star on Courtney Cox’s hit show, “Cougar Town.” Cox also stated that she’s working on getting all her “Friends” co-stars on the ABC show. Even though I have yet to watch ”Cougar Town,” my fingers are crossed.

Chama o Ross ae Mônica, não faz a vingativa vai? E o Chandler então? Seria incrível vai? Acho o personagem dela (Mônica, pq agora estou falando de Friends, acompanhem o raciocinio) ficou muito mais marcada com as meninas do que com os meninos! Chama ae vai? Ou eu não vou assistir hein?
