Whether we’re reading about the same-sex marriage laws being passed in Iowa from @DMRegister or snickering at the fact that President Obama called Kanye West a “jackass,” from some ABC News employees. Twitter is keeping us on our toes–but we’re not the only ones.

As journalists are lining up in the technology race–wanting to be the quickest and most media-savvy–the law is trying to keep up as well. So @sockington the cat and @levarburton, as well as @shitmydadsays–and even you, should think twice before you Twitter. That’s right–friends don’t let friends Twitter drunk–or when they’re angry.

This advice would have been nice for rocker-girl Courtney Love to know, as fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir is now suing her for libel after she (Love) tweeted several derogatory comments about the designer. Apparently the dispute was sparked over how much Love should pay Simorangkir for her designs. Although Love’s Twitter page is now in retirement, one can understand Simorangkir being upset, especially to tweets saying she had a “history of dealing cocaine.” Love sure went for the win on that one–people, think twice before you tweet–especially if you’re a journalist.

But what if you’re just angry with your landlord and want to just vent to all of your followers? Well, think again, as this is exactly what Amanda Bonnen, a woman from Illinois decided to do when she logged on to tweet: “Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon Realty thinks it’s okay.” The result? The company is now seeking $50,000 in damages–that is one pricey tweet. Read more about these cases and the future of Internet and the law at CNN.

Just like the laws against music-sharing and illegal downloading didn’t really hit the scene until well after everyone knew about Napster, the law is racing to keep up with Twitter. What do you think about this? Have you ever been called out on a tweet?

En lo que podria convertirse en la primera demanda judicial por el uso de la imagen de un músico de rock en un videojuego, los herederos de Kurt Cobain rechazaron la forma en que el cantante es retratado en el Guitar Hero 5. En el juego de Activision, Cobain es un personaje “unlockable”, lo que significa que se lo puede usar para cantar canciones de otras bandas, como Bush y Bon Jovi. TV: Gotta say Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sunday night’s episode was really just top notch. I’m a recent convert to the Curb cult, but with episodes like “Table Reading”, I’m pretty sure that I’m in for life.

Music: “The Dark End of the Street” by Dan Penn and Chips Moman. Holy shit that’s an amazing song. I’ve probably listened to 5 different versions of this song within the last week and, even though I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, the Commitments and Cat Power versions are my favorites. There seems to be two different ways to play this tune: really digging into and embracing the minor chord built off the 7th scale degree in the verse, and shying away from it. These two versions own that chord and the melody around it so hard, and it makes me shake to hear something that beautiful.

Books: Kurt Vonnegut’s Hocus Pocus. This is a book that I’ve probably read 5 times in as many years, but every time I read it I get a little more out of it. That man has an uncanny skill for tackling pretty much EVERYTHING in one book while still providing a really entertaining and focused plot.

Food: Trader Joe’s Mac’n'Cheese. A blend of 4 non-dairy gourmet cheeses on top of delicious noodles. Who’s gunna argue?

Bar: SkyBar. It’s not really too fancy, and the gimmick of the telescope is not too in your face. That’s why I dig that place. Also $2 wells are pretty sweet too.

Restaurants: B-Line. Eat one of their carne asada breakfast burritos with their salsa and tell me it’s not love. I dare you.

Most likely you’ve seen the results of someone’s bad day and can obviously tell by their SM status (in an effort to keep this PG, fill in the blanks) “I hate this  F_&*!!G S*!T. My boss is an A-S.”  While the frustrations of our day weight heavy on our minds at times and using your social media network as your online counselor is fine, keep the language PG.  Don’t think anyone is watching?  DUH, your whole network is watching and so are others NOT in your network.  It could come back to haunt you.  Case in point: Courtney Love.

Recently the bad girl herself has gotten her hand slapped by yet, another legal battle.  Love is being sued for libel by a fashion designer for allegedly slamming the designer on Twitter, learn more here.  Apparently her remarks weren’t exactly positive – ha!

Next up for no-no’s – YOUR PHOTOS.  Does anyone really need to see a photo of you in such a way that you’d be embarrassed that your grandma saw it?  While we all like to have some fun, #1 DON’T document it on film and #2 DON’T  post it to your Facebook photo album.  For the college students looking for a job one day, the 40-something mothers of kids and the rest of you wanting to keep your jobs (what is our unemployment rate these days???), I’d suggest you keep it PG.

Legal battles over online postings are being waged across the nation at an increasing rate.  The idea of social networking is nothing new, but the exponential growth of sites such as  MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter have brought these cases to the forefront of today’s news. Facebook alone has over 300 million active users, and with more new users comes more conflict.

Train wreck/ex-grunge rocker Courtney Love has recently found herself being sued for libel (see the Complaint).  Ms. Love allegedly posted “derogatory and false comments” on Twitter about a fashion designer after the two disagreed over what Love should pay the designer for services rendered.  This case illustrates a new wave of cases filed by people who feel they have been injured by another via social networking.  These cases raise all types of legal issues (free speech, privacy, property, jurisdictional…etc).

One reason courts have a hard time governing social networking is no one can really anticipate new technological advances.  I would assume if lawyers could predict which social networking technology was going to be the next popular trend, the world would have a lot less lawyers (Twitter valued at $1 billion after it’s most recent round of funding and the average attorney makes approximately $57,000 per year).  It is hard to proactively institute laws to govern technologies that have yet to be developed.

Another problem courts face with social networking is that new legal precedent is often held up by jurisdictional issues.  The length of social networking cases are greatly extended by the court struggling with the issue of which court actually has authority to hear the case. Not only does the internet cross state borders, it also crosses international boundaries.  It is not hard to imagine the complications of litigating a case when a defendant is posting damaging content from a public computer in Italy about a Los Angeles based plaintiff.  Only after the jurisdiction is figured out can a court hear the merits of the case, which prolongs new case law from being decided by the court.

There are many different reasons to blame for courts struggling to keep up with social networking.  Internet technologies have progressed at a rate never before experienced in the history of the modern world. One thing the courts can predict however, is given the rate at which these sites have been evolving, when laws do catch-up with today’s technologies we will all have already moved on to the “next big thing.”

So I was originally gonna roll up all cavalier-like and blurt out my opinions on Tank Girl, which I watched for the first time a few nights ago. I had some pre-conceived notions about the movie and what I’d think of it, as the film adaption of the beloved Jamie Hewlett comic is widely regarded as a commercial and critical flop.

Now I’m not entirely sure how to approach the subject matter, because a) I’m not sure how to read this movie, as it is disjointed and oftentimes inscrutable, b) I didn’t realize going into my viewing that several friends were fans of both the movie and the comic, and c) . . . I haven’t gotten around to reading the comic. I’m more than willing to read it, especially since I’m a fan of Hewlett’s work with Damon Albarn on Gorillaz and am interested in their ongoing professional relationship. I simply haven’t had the chance yet, as I just finished Truman Capote’s super-dense In Cold Blood and started Margaret Atwood’s promising The Blind Assassin. If anyone has a copy they’d like to push into my hands, my palms are flat and open.

But I still wanted to see the movie and write about it because:

1. Lori Petty stars as Rebecca Buck and I wish her career had taken off instead of stalling around the time of this movie’s 1995 release. While she’s recently run into some legal troubles and I still haven’t seen Point Break or Prey for Rock’N'Roll, I’ve long had a soft spot for this tough, mouthy, gender-queer tomboy ever since her turn as Kit Keller in A League of Their Own. It’s too bad that she was replaced by Sandra Bullock in Demolition Man and that Gwen Stefani sounds just like her, with both women having more visible, financially successful careers.

2. Speaking of Stefani, did she rip off Tank Girl’s style to cultivate her own look, because oh my damn do they look alike. 

But maybe I’m being unfair in pitting Petty/Tank Girl against Stefani against one another and instead should remember the cultural context from which they were formed. I’m reminded of my thesis adviser Mary Kearney, whose dissertation focused on contemporary discourses around girlhood and youth culture. Joy Van Fuqua draws on Kearney’s work in her essay ”‘What Are Those Little Girls Made Of?’ The Powerpuff Girls and Consumer Culture.” In her discussion of the show’s popularity, Van Fuqua borrows from Kearney to suggest that, like many other girl characters during the 1990s, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom had to embody both genders in order to succeed in athletics and other male-dominated activities.

3. Speaking of promising actresses, Naomi Watts plays her sidekick and was a total nobody in the states when the movie was originally released. She’s also rockin’ a brunette bob haircut, which I appreciate.

4. Speaking of wacky ladies, Ann Magnuson makes an appearance as a madame who runs a state-of-the-art brothel where folks like Iggy Pop run around in drag and the talent break out into Busby Berkeley-esque routines to Cole Porter’s “Let’s Do It.”

5. Speaking of musicians, the soundtrack is an alternative rock behemoth. Hard to imagine many of the artists represented here got radio play in 1995. Alternative was commercially successful, allowing rock music to splinter off in various, musically diverse directions. Hootie was of course a major player, but Pulp could get a hit single. Beck was at this point a one-hit wonder, but was working on an era-defining record that would come out the following year. The bubble hadn’t burst yet. Man, 1995 was a strange and amazing time. Bush, Björk, Veruca Salt, L7, Belly, Portishead, Hole. They were all on commercial radio playlists and they’re also on this soundtrack.

6. Speaking of Hole, note that Courtney Love was the movie’s music consultant. Now, I’m not entirely sure what her title means here. Titles like “music consultant” and “music supervisor” tend to be flexible. The latter term is usually held by people who work closely with the director, the editor, and multiple representatives from various record labels, as well as help tend to legal matters like acquiring publishing rights, and clearing songs to be used in the movie and often the accompanying soundtrack.

My hunch is that Love’s duties were picking what songs she liked and would work with the movie, but had little involvement in the production. After all, she was a busy lady who was trying to heal from the death of her husband, raise her daughter, become a respected actress, and headline Lollapalooza with her band Hole. I don’t think she had time to field phone calls with label execs, although I’d like to imagine what those conversations might be like.     

7. Oh, and since the first six points all involved women, let’s add the cherry on top. Tank Girl was directed by a woman named Rachel Talalay.

But as far as reading this movie . . . hummina. I don’t know what I saw. I know it takes place in what is now a not-too-distant, dystopian future and involves our fearless heroine leading a rag-tag group of girls and mutant kangaroo boys against a corrupt faction that control the earth’s water supply. Still with me? Here’s the trailer.

So, things I enjoyed or found interesting about the movie.

1. Naomi Watts kicks ass as Jet Girl. At first shy and fretful, she learns to embrace her intellect and technological savvy and develops the confidence to take charge of the crew and help beat the cast of baddies.

2. Tank Girl has strong relationships with Jet Girl and Rebecca, Tank Girl’s boyfriend’s young daughter. Homosocial bonding and female mentorship, holla!

3. OMG, the costumes. They could be a chapter in a dissertation on third-wave feminism’s fragmentive, performative, and self-reflexive relationship with fashion (note: if such a chapter exists, I want to read it). Tank Girl never wears the same outfit or hair color twice, and her wardrobe toys with historical periods, film genres, youth culture movements, often playing with age, gender, and race as well.

4. I can’t tell if Ann Magnuson’s Madame, who briefly kidnaps and attempts to employ Rebecca, is a sex-positive feminist, a critique against the then-timely rise of media’s interest in d0-me feminism, or just morally bankrupt.

And then there were things I hated.

1. While Tank Girl’s costuming is fascinating, that’s really the extent of her characterization. Much of this seems to be the fault of the writing. Petty is engaging enough, but Tank Girl is written as less a complex action heroine and more of a buzzword-and-slogan dispenser. Thus, she brings to mind characters like Itchy and Scratchy’s Poochie, who was created to make fun of corporate-friendly extreme, in-your-face, subcultural cash cows. Perhaps her perceived lack of depth speaks to the awkward process of adapting a comic book into a movie, but her cinematic flatness betrays the torpedo bras.

2. Tank Girl also kicks a disappointing lack of ass here and has questionable methods. I can’t speak to her defense strategies in the comic, but the movie repeatedly has her lure disgusting men with her feminine wiles. Sometimes they get kicked in the balls, but she still shows them her bra or promises sexual favors beforehand.

3. Man, how did Malcolm MacDowell fool people into thinking he could act? He’s the villainous Kesslee here and is making himself quite the ham sandwich. Some may want to bring up Al Pacino and note that some actors deliver progressively broader performances as they age, but I think MacDowell’s accent played a role in snowing audiences as well. I think his Britishness even convinced people he was better in If . . . and A Clockwork Orange than he actually was. Charismatic and handsome? Yes. Once a great actor? I don’t think so.

4. I feel like there’s something racially problematic about the mutant kangaroo soldiers who take up with Tank Girl’s crew. Thoughts?

In short, Tank Girl makes for a maddening but interesting spectatorial experience. Now to get a hold of the source material . . .

À de nombreuses occasions, Courtney Love nous a prouvé qu’elle possède le jugement d’une fillette anorexique. J’ai appris à sympathiser avec le personnage au fil des années, mais la fondatrice de Hole n’est pas exactement douée dans le domaine des choix de vie et de l’amour-propre.

En mai dernier, par l’entremise d’un ami pirate des internets, j’ai mis la main sur l’album de Courtney à venir, intitulé Nobody’s Daughter. Je n’ai jamais cru que Love était une grande musicienne, mais j’ai toujours cru qu’elle était assez densément fuckée pour avoir quelque chose à dire, malgré ce rôle de poupée défaite dont on pourrait aisément se tanner.

Cet album, elle l’a écrit au cours de sa plus récente désintox, seule dans une chambre clinique à la guitare. Puis, elle a pris une soixantaine de jours pour l’enregistrer dans un dépouillement relatif, où sa voix nasillarde, écorchée et imparfaite prend le dessus.

De tous ses albums, c’est clairement son plus personnel, à vif. Loin des rutilants studios poudrés de Celebrity Skin ou America’s Sweetheart. Voici quelques paroles que j’ai recopiées parmi les quatre premières pièces:

“Pacific Coast Highway”: I knew a boy who left me so ravaged / do you even know the extent / of the damage… I’m out there dying for you baby / I’ve got your blood on my hands / your whole world is in my hands

“Letter to God”: I never wanted to be / some kind of comic relief / I’m sorry I’m so weak / I’ve turned into some kind of freak / but I don’t know anything / I don’t know who I am

“Stand Up Motherfucker”:  You cun me with tabloids / and you cun me with sleaze / I was never respectable / but at least I was well dressed… I’ve been cheated / covered in diamonds and covered in filth

PS. Non, je n’ai pas 15 ans; c’est pour montrer à quel point la rage faisait place à la franchise.

Elle me plaisait, cette Courtney plus adulte, alerte, franche pour les bonnes raisons.

Et voilà-tu-pas que je tombe sur le Rolling Stone de la semaine, où elle scande que son album est né de grands principes comme le féminisme, la vengeance et plein d’autre bullshit. Et qu’elle le réenregistre. Question de beurrer plus épais.

Courtney Love has has once again removed the filter between her brain and her mouth. The former rocker has libel suit pending because of a recent rant she made public on her Twitter account. Love had a few choice words to say about designer Dawn Simorangkir. Here are just a couple of the Tweets that ABC posted on their website. 

“oi vey don’t f*** with my wardrobe or you will end up in a circle of corched earth hunted til your dead.”

“as one of her many bullied victims smashes her face soon as she’s an assault addict herself (there’s apparently prostitution in her record too”

Do you believe that Love should take responsibility for her actions? Or should the matter be pushed aside? There are many similar cases around the country that consist of personal opinions being posted on social sites. Privacy issues related to the Internet are becoming a norm that has many split on the issue.

According to CNN, “Consider the case of Amanda Bonnen and her former landlord. Bonnen, an Illinois resident, is accused of using Twitter to tell another user: “Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon Realty thinks it’s okay.”"Horizon Group Management LLC, the company that owned the apartment in question, sued Bonnen for libel over the alleged tweet. Horizon is seeking $50,000 in damages.”

Ognuno ha la sua nicchia. La mia, evidentemente, è una nicchia della nicchia: un mondo in cui non si visitano mai i siti di Corriere e Repubblica (che presumo siano tra i più visitati dai navigatori medi italiani, immagino parecchio più dei sofisticatissimi e informatissimi blog di gente che legge l’oroscopo solo se ammantato dell’aria colta che gli dona Internazionale.) Non è una scelta: è che non me ne ricordo, non mi viene proprio in mente, non esistono. Meglio: non esisterebbero se non fosse per i socialcosi. Non c’è giorno in cui qualcuno dei miei contatti su qualche social network non segnali gli errori, i refusi, le cose scopiazzate male e altre amenità dalle homepage del Corriere e Repubblica.
Insomma poco fa un’amica scrive: il Corriere ha in homepage la copertina di Pop con Courtney Love. Che sappiamo tutte essere vecchia. Perché di quelle frivolezze ci occupiamo con una cura che sui giornali italiani pare essere richiesta solo nei retroscenismi da Montecitorio (cioè: solo nelle pagine che nessun lettore normale legge ma che vanno nelle rassegne stampa e nelle mazzette, d’altra parte i giornali si fanno per colleghi e soci del patto di sindacato, mica per i lettori, sciocchi.) Perché anche un cieco si accorgerebbe che la Courtney del 2006 manco somiglia a quella di oggi. Perché ci vogliono dieci secondi su Google per scoprirlo. E perché – ma mi rendo conto che questo è un caso eccezionale – qualcuno di quel Pop lì ha due copie a casa, sopravvissute a quattro traslochi tra il 2006 e oggi (d’accordo, quel qualcuno sono io, ma giuro che ne avevo ordinata solo una, si sbagliarono e me la mandarono doppia, sono fanatica ma non così tanto, uff.)
Siccome c’è un video, e la mia amica non ha la forza di guardarlo, per un po’ ci consoliamo pensando che la copertina di Pop sia un pretesto, e poi ci sia una notizia non dico attuale ma insomma almeno di quest’anno: il disco che non si capisce se esca o no? I vestiti rubati? La stilista che la denuncia per le cose che ha scritto su Twitter? Il nuovo chitarrista strafigo? Non è che non dia materiale ai giornali, la signora, eh. Ma invece no, la zelante cronista esordisce con «Sfrontata, disinibita e come madre natura l’ha fatta» e conclude con l’altrettanto alato «Insomma anche questa volta Courtney Love non ha smentito la sua fama di rocker maledetta», e in mezzo c’è solo la notizia che si è fatta fotografare con le tette di fuori da Pop (dettaglio mancante alla notizia: quando erano ancora vivi Saddam Hussein, la Fallaci e Aaron Spelling.)
E siccome la prosa banale dev’esssere contagiosa, una poi finisce per scrivere che è meglio Lucignolo, la cui redazione, tra aggettivi altrettanto vibranti, sarebbe riuscita a infilare un paio di tette più recenti.

เนื้อนิ่มค่ะไม่แห้ง สีเป็นสีด้านนะคะแต่ไม่ทำให้ปากแห้งเป็นร่องๆค่ะ เขียนง่ายวาดเอาได้เลยค่ะ ก่อนซื้อถามคนที่ชอบทาปากแดงมาหลายคนว่าของอันไหนดี ทุกคนบอกว่าต้องของ Nars เลยไปซื้ออันนี้มาค่ะ ตอนที่ไปซื้อไปดูของ Dior ด้วย ดูสีแดงที่เป็นสีแดงสดของเค้า แต่ไม่สวยเท่าค่ะ ตอนไปลองที่ Nars ปากแห้งมากแต่พอทาแล้วดูไม่แห้งไม่เป็นร่องเลย เลยตัดสินใจซื้อมาค่ะ

อันนี้ซื้อมานานแล้วค่ะ ตอนไปซื้อ BA บอกว่าสีนี้เป็นสีที่แดงสด ที่สุดของ MAC แล้ว ชอบค่ะ สีแดงสะใจดี แต่ที่ไม่ค่อยถูกใจเทา่ไหร่คือ ทาแล้วปากแห้งมากกกกกกกก เป็นร่องๆเลยค่ะ ปกติเวลาทาลิปสีแดงจะชอบให้มันดูเป็นสีด้านๆหน่อยค่ะ เพราะถ้าเป็นแดงมันๆแล้วก็จะดูเป็นอีกลุคนึงไปเลย เลยไม่ได้ทาลิปมันหรือลิปกลอสทับ ใช้ไปแค่ครั้งสองครั้งเองค่ะ แล้วก็ไม่ได้ใช้เพราะมันแห้งมาก แล้วเวลาทานานๆปากด้านในก็จะลอกๆ ด้วยทาทับไปก็ไม่สวย เลยไปซื้อ Nars มาใช้แทนค่ะ

ดูสีเปรียบเทียบนะคะ

สีของ Nars ดูแดงสว่างกว่า ส่วนของ MAC จะเข้มกว่า เนื้อหนากว่า เวลาทาของ Nars แล้วลื่นกว่าชุ่มชื้นกว่า แต่สีทั้ง 2 ตัวเป็นแบบด้านเหมือนกันค่ะ

ส่วนตัวชอบของ  Nars มากกว่ามากค่ะ ในรูปทา  Nars Dragon Girl ตอนทาไม่ได้ใช้ดินสอเขียนปากหรือใช้คอนซีลเลอร์ ใช้เวลเวท แมท ลิป ทาตัวเดียว วาดตามขอบปากไปเลย ง่ายมากๆ ลดขั้นตอนไปเยอะเพราะปกติเวลาทาปากสีแดงให้สวย ต้องเขียนดินสอเขียนขอบปากก่อนจะดูเนี้ยบกว่า ส่วนคนที่อยากให้ปากดูคมเนี้ยบสุดๆ หรืออยากให้เห็นรอยหยักของปากบนชัดๆ ก็ให้ใช้แปรงเล็กๆเหมือนแปรงทาปาก แต้มคอนซีลเลอร์ แล้วเอามาเขียนตัดขอบปาก (รอบๆปาก) จะทำให้ปากได้รูปสวยขึ้น ส่วนขนตาเป็นของ Cammake เบอร์ 10 ค่ะ

Sid and Chloe

In 1988 one of my favourite films was Sid and Nancy. This amazing film, which explores the punk movement of the late seventies and focuses on the main characters Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungeon, has mostly been forgotten. In fact I couldn’t even find it on DVD. I had to go to a Video 99 and blow some dust off an old VHS.

A few years ago I was watching a quiz show where they asked if Courtney Love played Nancy in this movie. I laughed because it was such a stupid question. Surprisingly the answer was wrong. But the contestant said yes and won the prize.

I got so mad. “Courtney Love did NOT play Nancy. It was Chloe Webb. What a bunch of idiots?!?!?!”

Then I convinced my wife to watch it on my birthday this year. She’s afraid of punk rockers and disgusted by their pig-like love of baked beans in this movie. Grody to the max!

As we watched it we laughed at the stupid game show for making such an obvious error. But then something happened. There was this other minor character in the film that kind of looked like Courtney Love – like a teenage Courtney Love. “Is that Courtney Love?”

When the credits finally rolled Courtney Love was the second name listed in order of appearance. Finally the mystery of Nancy was solved. Some research person on a game show must have thought it was Courtney Love playing Nancy and then it was confirmed by her second billing on the credits at the end, because she actually is in the movie, but only a couple of times as a minor character.

I think it is interesting to note that I think that metaphorically Courtney Love (one of my favourite singers of all time) really IS Nancy. She seems to have modelled her look and attitude after Nancy. She was in this movie before she was a household name. She’s lived longer than the real one, and unlike the real Nancy, she has survived and risen above her abusive relationship.

The real Sid and Nancy?

So, both Courtney Love and No Doubt aren’t too pleased with Activision.

It’s not really that much of a suprise, Kurt Cobain especially as seeing him playing some songs isn’t the most respectful thing in the world. Although I can see the fun side in this it kinda feels like I shouldn’t.

Welcome back. Sorry it took awhile for a second update. I’ve been crazy busy with school work. I will be for the next 4 weeks. So my updates will be short and sweet for the time being.

First on my palette of things to mention. Steven Tyler is on the fence on whether or not he should leave Aerosmith. Yes I know it’s probably slightly old news by now. But it’s big news to me. Aerosmith being one of my favourite bands on earth and Steven Tyler being possibly my only favourite performer EVER!

Now the thing that irks me about this sitituation is attempting to find a replacement for Tyler. That is within itself impossible to do and completely stupid to do so. You can’t have Aerosmith without the Tyler. It’s the whole band chemistry that makes Aerosmith, well Aerosmith. Oh and Steven… trust me you don’t need time off… we need you belting out on stage. Done and done. Case closed.

Now as we all know, Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis never got along. they made great music, but they just didn’t hit it off. Finally Noel decided to depart from Oasis. Currently Oasis is still split. But Liam and other fellow Oasis memebers continue to create music together.

Hole’s back but with only one member? Courtney Love has decided to release her most recent album under the band name of her previous band ‘Hole’ but none of the original Hole members are on the album. Now for me this seems a tad selfish on Courtney’s part. The name ‘Hole’ was created to represent a band of members creating music not just one. I wonder if any of the Hole members will receive any money from Love’s album sales?
