Gerald Keddy disgusts me. This story highlights one of the main differences between Liberals and Conservatives. Liberals have a collective world-view where we value and care for others in our society. Conservatives however have an individualistic perspective and think that if someone fell through the cracks they should fend for themselves.

It’s happening right before us and you may not realize it. The Facebook Ad Campaigns Platform is working great and is becoming increasingly popular by marketers.

The targeting abilities are far beyond most with such control over the entire campaign. I have to honestly admit that you are really enabled to create an amazing campaigns with granular refinement to ensure your target is correct.

With all this added value, the popularity of Facebook’s Ad platform is creating a buzz in the online marketing community and especially in the social media circles.

PROBLEM –
Increase in demand very tightly equals increase in price. Sorry, there is a fixed amount of people to market your targeted message to and so we are seeing it again.

As we saw each of the CPC platforms launch with MSN/Bing, Overture/Yahoo, and Google the demand comes and the prices increase. I have seen the “Suggested Bid” increase now consistently on two different targets I have and I’m irritated! I figured out a great direction to access a great target market for an incredible price and the price is rising consistently.

FIX –
This is my firm recommendation, without having more knowledge on the topic. Get in now and make sure you get up to speed as quickly as you can! Increase your CPC now (just my opinion) and acquire your desired goals as quickly as possible.

The faster you reach your goals the faster you can avoid the increase in price later on with a passive patient approach. This is, a gut response, to an obvious trend but it has worked in other areas as well. When you find something that is amazing and the crowd hasn’t figured it out yet. Get in on as much as possible, take advantage of the opportunity, and if their is a fixed level of inventory – BUY IT.

When Circuit City was closing each day they would mark certain products down. I would be there as the liquidation staff marked certain products down. When I saw an opportunity I called around to see what retail prices were, demand level, how long it would take to flip the inventory, and would stare at the product running the numbers in my head figuring on the profit I could take. My biggest success of the closing of Circuit City was “Call of Duty” the video game special release. After working with the staff on a price of $5 a unit I bought their inventory at 32 units. I immediately went home and flushed this inventory out through eBay and Craigslist in about a week at an average price of $20 per unit.

Point of the story you ask! There are opportunities everywhere if you know what you are looking for and have the background to realize you are in an amazing position to capitalize on it.

Right now, from my perspective, every small business owner is in an amazing position to capitalize on this opportunity with the Facebook Ad Platform while prices are still affordable, ROI is high, and the crowd hasn’t realized this value yet.

Mr. Meyer, a wedding photographer in Woodbury, Minn., had had little luck with traditional advertising. A full-page ad in a bridal magazine generated zero leads and a trade show yielded only four bookings, barely covering the cost of his booth. But Facebook proved a digital bonanza.

Mr. Meyer aimed at women ages 22 to 28 who listed their marital status as engaged in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. He estimates that he has spent about $300 on Facebook ads in the last two years and has generated more than $60,000 in business. He says about three-quarters of his clients now come to him through Facebook, either from ads or recommendations from friends.

“I’d be out of business if I didn’t have Facebook,” Mr. Meyer said. “Especially with this economy, I need to stretch each marketing dollar as much as I possibly can.”

El pleno de ayer transcurrió dentro de la normalidad con la aprobación de los puntos por unanimidad.

Podemos destacar la aprobación de una moción presentada por todos los grupos y con motivo de la celebración del Día Internacional de Lucha contra la Violencia de Género el próximo 25 de noviembre. Todos los grupos estuvieron de acuerdo en instar al gobierno central que siga apicando las leyes y que se impulsen las medidas pertinentes de lucha y, sobre todo, la labor educacional y de sensibilización.

Se trajo también como asunto de urgencia la aprobación del inicio de los trámites para la puesta en marcha del acceso electrónico de los ciudadanos a los Servicios Públicos tal y como obliga la Ley 11/2007. Consiste en poner los medios para facilitar al ciudadano que gran parte de los trámites administrativos se puedan hacer vía internet. Todo esto vendría costeado por DPZ.

Tanto el PP como el PAR solicitan que se haga una buen publicidad de esta nueva posibilidad y que recuerden incluir los servicios ahora municipales pero que se privatizarán en breve como son la gestión de agua y la limpieza.

Ana Cabrero comenta que es un paso necesario y obligatorio que va a facilitar la gestión de los trámites, y la Alcaldesa añade que se va a ir implantando progresivamente.

Antes del turno de preguntas, la Alcaldesa felicita a la Cooperativa Ganadera de Caspe por la obtención del premio a la excelencia empresarial y recuerda que este ayuntamiento ya premió su gestión mediante el reconocimiento que se le hizo en 2007.

Ya en el turno de ruegos y preguntas, Carlos Alastuey volvió a insitir en que le den toda la documentación que solicita respecto a las obras de la residencia, a lo que Ana Cabrero le responde que ahora mismo el departamento de Tesorería está inmerso en las cuentas de 2006, 2007 y 2008 y que lleva trabajando en año y medio lo que no se ha hecho en 10 años, que en el momento que haya tiempo se le prepará aunque le recuerda que nada de esa información está digitalizada y que su partido estuvo también varios años gobernando y jamás recopiló esa información.

La Alcaldesa le vuelve a conceder la palabra, aunque no tenía por qué, la cual usa para recriminar que Ana Cabrero tiene la obligación de presentar esa información porque él la lleva pidiendo 7 meses. Ana le reitera que se le dará cuando se pueda preparar.

Devedor não pode trocar penhora online por fiança

Apesar de garantir não só a disputa judicial em torno de cobranças fiscais, mas também o fôlego no caixa das empresas que enfrentam execuções fiscais, a carta de fiança não pode substituir depósitos bancários bloqueados pela Justiça via BacenJud. A posição é do ministro Benedito Gonçalves, do Superior Tribunal de Justiça, que negou um pedido feito em Recurso Especial dos hipermercados Carrefour Comércio e Indústria contra o fisco estadual do Rio de Janeiro.

Segundo o ministro, permitir a troca do bloqueio dos depósitos bancários, mais líquidos para o credor, por uma promessa bancária de pagamento é prejudicar o titular do crédito. “O dinheiro é preferível a todos os bens, conforme a dicção do artigo 11 da Lei de Execução Fiscal, haja vista que a substituição prevista no artigo 15 da referida lei é restrita às hipóteses de se conferir maior liquidez ao bem em favor do exequente”, afirmou na decisão monocrática.

O entendimento se baseia em decisões anteriores do STJ. Em maio, a 1ª Turma negou um recurso da Sadia que também pedia a liberação de valores bloqueados em conta bancária em troca de uma carta de fiança. “Reverter a penhora em dinheiro para fiança bancária é promover um retrocesso da atividade executiva, impulsionando-a para sentido inverso ao da sua natural finalidade”, disse o ministro Teori Zavascki, relator do processo, em seu voto no REsp 1.089.888. No ano passado, a mesma turma já seguia por esse caminho, em recurso negado dessa vez para a Companhia de Telecomunicações do Brasil Central (CTBC).

O ministro Benedito Gonçalves analisou o caso de uma dívida julgada pelo Tribunal de Justiça do Rio de Janeiro. A corte estadual considerou fora do prazo a carta de fiança apresentada pelo Carrefour e não aceitou a troca. Os desembargadores também afirmaram que a empresa só se interessou por apresentar a fiança depois que os valores foram bloqueados direto nas contas. “A citação da executada deu-se em 16 de maio de 2007, permanecendo a mesma inerte quanto ao pagamento ou oferecimento de bens à penhora. A penhora foi executada (na modalidade online) em 18 de julho de 2007. Somente em 17 de julho de 2007 veio a agravante pretender a juntada da carta de fiança, quando o prazo de oferta de bem estava exaurido”, diz o acórdão do TJ.

O Carrefour, por outro lado, alegou que a corte não atendeu ao que prevê o artigo 15 da Lei de Execução Fiscal, a Lei 6.830/80. No inciso I, a norma afirma que, em qualquer fase do processo, o juiz deve deferir “ao executado a substituição da penhora por depósito em dinheiro ou fiança bancária”, como ressalta o Recurso Especial ajuizado pelo advogado Danilo Saramago Sahione de Araújo. A empresa também disse que o bloqueio contrariou a previsão de execução de “modo menos gravoso para o devedor”, que consta no artigo 620 do Código de Processo Civil.

Para o ministro Benedito Gonçalves, no entanto, a jurisprudência da corte já está pacificada no sentido de que a vantagem deve ser do credor. Na decisão, pesou o fato de a empresa ter “silenciado” durante o prazo de cinco dias após a citação sobre a execução fiscal, em que é garantido ao devedor o direito de indicar bens à penhora.
