CPU-Z permite-lhe recolher informação sobre o seu computador, desde tudo sobre o processador, detecção de overclock, motherboard, memória, etc.

Faz um relatório completo com dados do CPUID, MSR, lista de dispositivos PCI , SPD, DMI.

… which may be bad at the start, but isn’t so if you really know how powerful Linux is. In this case, you don’t really need to acquire a cpu-z-like software, unless of course you’re freaked out by the command line (which we’ll use in this case).  Linux (at least those that use kernel versions 2.6 and above) have quite  an array of commands that lets you acquire most info that cpu-z will give you on a Window$ box, sometimes less, sometimes more. These commands are especially useful in cases like (this was my case a week ago, that’s why I had to find out about them) there’s no graphical interface for you since you’re either remotely doing administration or the server just doesn’t have any graphical server/service installed.

To list information about the CPU enter the command

cat /proc/cpuinfo

To list your PCI devices type the command

lspci

To acquire information about your installed memory/RAM sticks or modules, one command to do this is

sudo dmidecode —type 17

To check your hard drives, the following commands give you loads of info

cat /proc/diskstats | egrep "^\s?+8"
df -hT
ls -lh /dev/disk/by-path/
ls -lh /dev/disk/by-id/
ls -lh /dev/disk/by-uuid/
cat /proc/scsi/scsi

you then can find out disk info by running the following on each node listed (device name in third column):

sudo fdisk -l /dev/NODE (e.g. sudo fdisk -l /dev/sda, if you have SCSI drives)

There are quite a lot more commands to get information about the hardware you are running, without shutting it/them down so you can open them up and check the hardware yourself. Or you won’t have to grab your hardware’s manual (whether locally or online) just to get info about your hardware. Good especially for sys ads like me.

CPU-Z is a freeware utility that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system.
CPU-Z does not need to be installed, just unzip the files in a directory and run the .exe.
In order to remove the program, just delete the files.

The program does not copy any file in any Windows directory, nor write to the registry.

Quản trị mạng – Nếu kiến thức là sức mạnh thì chương trình CPU-Z của CPUID sẽ làm cho bạn cảm thấy giống như một siêu anh hùng. Công cụ nhỏ bé này đã được liệt vào một trong số những download phần mềm miễn phí tốt nhất. CPU-Z chỉ hoạt động trong hệ điều hành Windows để thu thập các thông tin về một số các thành phần phần cứng chính của máy tính.

Thông tin được nó thu về khá chi tiết và tập trung vào CPU, bo mạch chủ, bộ nhớ của bạn và các thông tin hệ thống nói chung về Windows và DirectX.

Trong toàn bộ bài này, chúng tôi sẽ giới thiệu cho các bạn về tiện ích này và trang bị sức mạnh đáng nể của nó cho máy tính của chính bạn.

Để bắt đầu, bạn hãy vào thẳng trang chủ của CPU-Z và download về phiên bản mới nhất của nó (hiện phiên bản tại thời điểm này của phần mềm là 1.50). Phần mềm được nén trong một file zip, chính vì vậy bạn cần phải giải nén nó. Trong một số tình huống như vậy, các bạn nên tạo một thư mục trên máy trạm của mình và giải nén các file zip này vào đó.

Chương trình không có bộ cài đặt vì nó không tự cài đặt vào hệ thống của bạn. Bạn chỉ cần giải nén các nội dung bên trong của file nén vào một thư mục và chạy nó từ đây. Khi bạn không muốn chạy nó nữa, chỉ cần xóa thư mục này.

Khi bạn đã thiết lập một thư mục và đã hoàn toàn sẵn sàng cho công việc của mình, bắt đầu CPU-Z bằng cách kích đúp vào file cpuz.exe.

Khi đó bạn sẽ thấy ảnh dưới đây trên màn hình trong khi chương trình đang được nạp.

Khi chương trình được nạp xong, các thông tin đều dễ dàng truy cập và dễ dàng điều hướng định dạng. Cửa sổ được trình bày dưới dạng các tab để phân loại các thông tin theo các hạng mục. Các tab được gán nhãn CPU, Cache, Mainboard, Memory, SPD và About. Bạn có thể thấy các nhãn này trong hình bên dưới.

Chọn một tab nào đó, khi đó sẽ có một loạt các thông tin nằm trong tab đó, có cả những thông tin mà bạn chưa bao giờ biết. Không nên bị phân tán bởi quá nhiều dữ liệu, bạn nên tập trung vào những gì mình muốn thấy.

Cho ví dụ, trên tab CPU, người dùng thông thường sẽ cảm thấy rất thú vị trong phần Name (tên CPU), Specification (các chi tiết kỹ thuật),  Instructions (các chỉ lệnh), Core Speed (tốc độ của lõi), Bus Speed (tốc độ bus), Level 2 Cache size (kích thước của cache). Bên cạnh các thông tin cơ bản đó còn có rất nhiều các phần thông tin khác dành cho các người dùng muốn tham khảo thêm cho các mục đích khác nhau.

Trong tab Mainboard, bạn sẽ thấy rất nhiều thông tin hữu dụng khi nâng cấp hay thay thế các thành phần. Các thông tin này sẽ gồm có cả nhà sản xuất bo mạch chủ, chipset, BIOS và giao diện đồ họa. Từ ảnh chụp bên dưới, chúng ta có thể thấy được rằng máy tính chúng tôi đang kiểm tra có bo mạch chủ  nForce4 và hỗ trợ supports x16 PCI-Express.

Điều đó có nghĩa rằng card video trong máy tính thử nghiệm này là PCI-E chứ không phải AGP. Đây là một thông tin quan trọng cần phải biết nếu chúng ta muốn nâng cấp card video. Tuy nhiên, cho ví dụ, CPU-Z lại không thể phát hiện ra nhà sản xuất bo mạch chủ của máy tính thử nghiệm. Điều này hiếm khi xuất hiện và chúng tôi cũng chỉ gặp vấn đề với bo mạch này.

Tab Memory cũng là một tab rất hữu dụng vì hầu hết mọi người thường nâng cấp máy tính của họ bằng cách bổ sung thêm bộ nhớ. Trong tab này, bạn sẽ thấy các thông tin về mỗi một thanh nhớ trong mỗi một khe cắm trên bo mạch chủ. Có thể thấy được kích thước của chip, kiểu RAM và tần số nó hoạt động. Thêm vào đó cũng có một bản định thời hiển thị các thông tin chi tiết dựa trên cấu hình.

Cuối cùng nhưng không phải nhỏ bé, đó chính là tab About. Tab này sẽ cung cấp cho các bạn các thông tin chi tiết về phần mềm và một số thông tin chi tiết về hệ thống. Cho ví dụ, các bạn có thể thấy phiên bản Windows, gói dịch vụ được cài đặt và phiên bản DirectX. Từ tab này, bạn có thể kết xuất dữ liệu vào một file HTML.

Ứng dụng này nên nằm trong hộp công cụ máy tính của bất cứ ai. Dữ liệu mà nó cung cấp là vô giá và sự dễ dàng trong sử dụng làm cho CPU-Z trở nên đơn giản đối với bất cứ người dùng ở cấp độ nào.

CPU-Z est un petit logiciel qui vous servira pas mal pour overclocker votre processeur.
Il affiche différentes informations qui pourront vous être plus qu’utiles: La fréquence de votre processeur, son FSB, son coeff multiplicateur, son voltage mais encore des informations sur le cache, sur votre carte mère, sur la fréquence de votre mémoire etc… Il vous servira également a voir la différence avant/après un OC. Un must have a mettre entre toutes les mains.

Speedfan

Speedfan affiche les informations émises par votre carte mère (températures du DD, processeur etc…, vitesse des ventilateurs et voltages). Plus vous avez une bonne carte mère, plus ce logiciel vous affiche d’informations. Vous pouvez également changer la vitesse des ventilateurs.

Everest Home Edition

Everest est un logiciel gratuit qui affiche toutes les informations sur votre ordinateur et ne laisse rien passer: il vous servira pour l’overclocking mais aussi pour vous cultiver un peu et pour comprendre de quoi est vraiment composé votre ordinateur. Un must pour votre ordinateur!

Voici un petit logiciel bien pratique, il vous permettra de changer votre FSB sans rebooter Windows à chaque fois ce qui peut permettre un gain de temps maximal! Si votre bios n’accepte pas l’overclocking, Clockgen et fait pour vous: il restaure vos réglages à chaque démarrage (cela peut ne pas marcher).

RivaTuner

RivaTuner vous servira à overclocker votre Carte Graphique (ATI/Nvidia). Il vous permettra de modifier tout les réglages de votre carte graphique (la mémore et le GPU) mais aussi de changer la fréquence de rafraichissement de votre moniteur, réguler ou baisser la vitesse du ventilateur de votre carte graphique, paramètrer votre port AGP ou PCI EXPRESS etc…

Apps of the Week

Had a lot of apps come out this week..but not so many good ones.

1.AVG Free Edition 8.0.234

As always, this great antivirus software makes my list. Frequent updates, browser integration, spyware scanning…what more could you ask for in an antivirus (heuristics, yes, but let’s not get into that)? What’s that you say? You want it to be FREE? Well, guess what! The free antivirus easily beats many paid ones on the market today, and the paid version of this is second only to ESET Smart Security.

2.FileZilla 3.2.2 RC1

Filezilla is a great free FTP manager. It has no really unique features, but has all the basics and a nice, clean interface. I have to say though…it has a tendency to crash during long transfers. Nonethelles, this is MY FTP software of choice.

3.Foobar2000 0.9.6.3 beta 1

I can’t write a very effective review for FooBar 2000, because, honestly, VLC is all I need and use. However, I have heard quite good things about it from some friends are pretty knowledgable when it comes to computers. For those of you who don’t already know this, FooBar is an audio player that supports most formats to begin with, and almost all with some add-ons

4.Notepad++ 5.2

Notepad++ is an alternative to Notepad or Wordpad. It includes several features that neither of those have, most prominently WYSIWYG editing. 

5.CPU-Z 1.50

I almost hate to include, but, for lack of a better app, I’m going to. CPU-Z is, honestly, something you will probably use once a month or less (unless you’re a crazy computer builder or something similar). That being said, whenever you do use it, you can oretty much rest asure that whatever it tells you is accurate. CPU-Z basically tells you information about several sections of your computer- CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and your and a few other things.
