Ich mag dieses kleine Format auch sehr.

In diesem Fall habe ich als Hintergrund Papier geprägt, mit Kreide

gewischt; den Text auf Vellum gestempelt und aufgeklebt; das Inchie bestempelt;

Blüte aufgeklebt und alles montiert.

This is a card I thoroughly enjoyed making. It’s for a swap on the Creating Rainbows forum. Our subject was sun, sea and sand. I decided to draw a new digi stamp for this and I’d love to find somewhere this idyllic to park my body for a week or two – in fact I think I’ve drawn my own private island! The digi stamp sheet will be on the website very soon.

I’ve coloured the picture with Derwent coloursoft pencils and all the bps are my own. The with love stamp is from papermania and the self adhesive sequins are from my stash.

Übrigens handelt es sich bei dem Sand um “echten” Sand! Mühselig aufgeklebt!

Egal, auf alle Fälle ist es Thema bei Created Byhand.

Hierzu finde ich passsen die Schriftzeichen doch ganz gut?

die schmalen goldenen Streifen habe ich mittels kleiner

aufgeklebter goldfarbener Kügelchen gestaltet .

I’ve made this box for me – it’s lovely to make something with yourself in mind sometimes. I’m a partially reformed hoarder and am trying to live by the maxim that something should be functional, beautiful or both to merit house room – I hope with this one I’ve achieved both! I am a member of a stamped image swap and also have a fair few images ready for use from when I did the rubber stamping tutorial for adding colour and need somewhere to keep them.
I created the background card using alcohol inks and then overstamping. Then I created a tag to put on top. The flowers are from the elusive images floral fantasy themeplate and layered up, The small tag was topped off with a shrink plasic bow coloured with sakura clear stardust pen. The corner scroll stamp is from umount and clear embossed.

This box has been inspired by my lovely and hugely talented friend Frankie who creates the most fabulous mixed media collage pieces – I don’t kid myself that I come anywhere close yet, but I throughly enjoyed myself playing with this one. I made the tag from another piece of the alcohol ink background card and used silver, gold and clear embossing powders to 4 layers before stamping into it with an elusive images stamp. I did this one the old fashioned way with a heat gun but I would have got a much better result if I’d used my melt pot. This close up just about shows it though.

I just had to try to show you this bit because it took me by surprise. I’m still fairly new to alcohol inks and am still playing and learning. After the card I had created was dry i decided to overstamp using colorbox wisteria fluid chalk ink – some I embossed while it was still wet and some I allowed to dry naturally. The parts that dried naturally changed and I got this white outline which actually looks pretty good so I don’t know whether the chalk ink reacted with the alcohol inks or the blending solution I used – which was waterless gel hand cleanser of the type used in hospitals. Which ever it was, it gives me another effect!! lol!
I’m happy to say that my box also fits the following challenges:

Heute habe ich mal wieder 2 Herausforderungen miteinander kombiniert. Everybody-Art fragt nach einem Tag und bei Created Byhand geht es um Gold. Auf dem Seeräuber-Tag habe ich 2 goldene Elemente angebracht.

I haven’t got as many challenges done this week as I would have liked but was determined to get my entry in for Rainbow Lady’s challenge before the new one tomorrow! This week the theme is “Windows” and I decided to do one of my ‘thinking outside the box’ jobs. While I was at it I decided to challenge myself to see how many other challenges I could accomodate! This is what I managed:

I created my arch from glossy card and alcohol inks. I decided to try something different and used a piece of felt that had previously been used to apply stonewashed, denim and stream inks about a week or so ago. This time, I added blender and just stream to start with. I covered most of the card with this then added a little more blender and silver mixative which also activated a little of the other two inks that were already on the felt pad. When I had the arch as I wanted it, I used up what was left of the inks on the pad on some more glossy card to create a toning piece to use with it. I cut the tag out of this and stamped the words “Love is the shortest distance between two hearts” in brilliance sky blue pearlescent ink and embossed with clear ep. I stamped two hearts onto the same piece of toning card in the same ink, embossed them with clear ep and cut them out. The face stamp was stamped directly on to the arch and again embossed with clear ep. The script stamp was again stamped directly on to the arch but not embossed. I edged the tag with the brilliance ink and the arch with silver pentouch pen.
And the way it fits Cynthia’s challenge? If you haven’t already guessed, the eyes are the window to the soul…….

Heute gibt es einige neue Themen: Bei Created Byhand geht es um Krähen, bei Arty Girlz um Geburtstag und bei Crazy Amigos und Sunday Postcard Art um Blumen …

Heute konnte ich mal wieder 2 Fliegen mit einer Klappe schlagen. Das aktuelle Thema bei Created Byhand lautet Moo-Karten in blau zu gestalten und die Herausforderung bei den Arty Girlz ist die Farbe Blau…. Das passt doch wunderbar.

Today it’s time for a double-whopper The actual challenge on Created Byhand is to create blue Moo Cards and Arty Girlz asks for the colour Blue…. That fits.

Heute gab es bei den Crazy Amigos und Created Byhand 2 Themen, die wunderbar zu kombinieren sind. Das gefragte Sonnenthema ließ sich herrlich in einem orange-farbenen Skinny verewigen.

Today there are two wonderful themes on Crazy Amigos and Created Byhand, which can be perfectly combined. A Skinny with the main colour orange is really great for the theme Sun.

Bei Created Byhand geht es heute darum, einen Briefumschlag zu verwenden. Eine günstige Gelegenheit den Umschlaglocher aus dem Regal zu holen

Created Byhand asks to use an envelope today in our artwork. A wonderful opportunity to take off the envelope punch out of the shelf.

CreatedByhand sollte mit Versamark gearbeitet werden und bei TMTA

soll es “rund” gehen.

So habe ich diesmal ein ATC gestaltet ganz im Zeichen von Kreisen/Punkten

und zwar mit Versamark und Kreide.

Und weil ich die Farbkombination für Crazy Amigo so klasse finde, habe ich direkt noch einen Umschlag bestempelt – Flügel sind auch drauf, daher passt der Umschlag auch gut zu Created Byhand:
