So tonight, for no apparent reason (or maybe the most obvious one), I was thinking about who I am and where I come from. Just trying to realign the stars. Sometimes you have to do that. To get back on track with everything.

When ever I have to rearrange it seems to take me one day to two weeks to finally reach my peak again. But its a necessary purge we all have to go through every once in a while. When things get a little (or a lot) crazy and we forget about ourselves, what makes us tick, what makes us grow, what makes us live, we have to readjust and mull it over; when we forget our priorities, and the little things. When we find ourselves constantly obsessing over the events, actions, or words that don’t matter (or aren’t supposed to rather) and get back to the small things that make life worth living – that make us humble people that we know we are.

I was just thinking today that what an amazing mix I am. We are all amazing mixes. It doesn’t mean we are amazing people – we have to create that ourselves, but we all come from amazing backgrounds.

Oh goodness:

I am a product of divorce. The good kind of product.

I am the third generation of military. Combat military.

I own my grandmothers middle name. My great grandmother’s eyes. My mom’s smile (and all around personality even though at times I won’t admit to it.) My dad’s ethics, morals, and values.

I am proud. I was proud. Until I met Jesse – life’s too short to be proud. I found my humility when I met Jesse too. I found my flaws, my tears, and my unbelievable strength; a different kind of strength. The kind you don’t find from just living life. Until you fall in love and fear losing that love, you don’t know the strength it takes to keep yourself together and not let that fear consume you. I’ve always known who I am, inside and out. But I think I let it go after a while. I met him and I found it again – and try every day to be the best person I can be to keep him around. Its not all peaches and cream, I can’t help but to compare all relationships to my parents – which is perfect. But when its good, its good. And that’s really all that matters.

I have siblings. A lot of siblings. I grew up with four. They are the most awesome people. I strive to be like them all of the time.

I have family. A lot of family. They keep me grounded, focused, and loved. Lots of love.

I’ve worn glasses since I was five. I am almost twenty three years old and have braces. I suck at running, though I have this deep dark passion for it.

I have dreams, passions, and goals – too many to list here, I think.

I live alone in my cute little apartment – that is ever so messy at the time. I have lived alone for a year now, and have had my fix. I would like someone to come home to everyday and a family. A dog. I want a dog, so bad. Just as much as I want kids do I want a dog. But I love my chinchillas. I strive to be the best chin mom out there. (I have a slight competitive edge )

I am a university student. I try to put my all into it, but distractions… well… they distract. I want to be the best student I can be. Make it into law school. Have my own firm. And be great.

I am a beach baby. Goodness – if I could just live on the beach, in my bathing suit and flip flops, for ever I would be so complete! Of course I would use sunscreen. Lots of it!

I am a health nut. If I could just eat fruits, veggies, fish, beans, nuts and work out two hours everyday and live forever I just so would

I have fears. I am afraid of death. Severely. I don’t want to die, and I don’t want to lose anyone to death. I want to see what we become as a society – oh wait, maybe I don’t…

I am afraid of this society and what we have become. Maybe we can fix ourselves. I am an optimist, an idealist. Sometimes its a curse.

I go to bed early, well… not so much anymore. I like to though.

I laugh at my own jokes – I laugh enough for everyone in the room… that’s if there is anyone else in the room when I tell a joke

Mostly I am the people who made me, that surround me. And I hope that I never let them down. I hope they are always proud of me. And I hope that I can one day be just even half of who they are.

I am tired. And I think because of that – this may be the absolute most personal thing I have ever published. Thats not to say I won’t come back and delete it once I am well rested. haha

I am restarting this blog, I’ve started it once – it failed miserably! Writers have to have a purpose don’t they? I don’t know if I really do have a purpose for this blog. Just the thoughts that I like to explore, the interesting situations in my life, the humor – oh goodness there is a ton of humor. But a good reason is to hone in, explore, and articulate my writing skills. I want to be good.

As you can see, (read), this post hasn’t at all been edited, proofread, corrected, or perfected. I think it suits it though. Its a post about me. It is me. And as far as I am concerned, I have never even come close to being edited, proofread, corrected, or perfected.

So for personality’s sake – this will set as the introduction. From now on, it will attempt to be polished – and hopefully shine.

Why was mankind created?

Answer :

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:

One of the greatest attributes of Allaah is wisdom, and one of His greatest names is al-Hakeem (the most Wise). It should be noted that He has not created anything in vain; exalted be Allaah far above such a thing. Rather He creates things for great and wise reasons, and for sublime purposes. Those who know them know them and those who do not know them do not know them. Allaah has stated that in His Holy Book, where He says that He has not created mankind in vain, and He has not created the heavens and the earth in vain. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?”

116. So Exalted be Allaah, the True King: Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!”

[al-Mu’minoon 23:115, 116]

“We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play”

[al-Anbiya’ 21:16]

“And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play.

39. We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not”

[al-Dukhaan 44:38]

“Haa-Meem.

[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’aan, and none but Allaah (Alone) knows their meanings.]

2. The revelation of the Book (this Qur’aan) is from Allaah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

3. We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and for an appointed term. But those who disbelieve, turn away from that whereof they are warned”

[al-Ahqaaf 46:1-3]

Just as it is proven that there is wisdom behind the creation of man from the standpoint of sharee’ah, it is also proven from the standpoint of reason. The wise man cannot but accept that things have been created for a reason, and the wise man regards himself as being above doing things in his own life for no reason, so how about Allaah, the Wisest of the wise?

Hence the wise believers affirm that there is wisdom in Allaah’s creation, and the kuffaar deny that. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding.

191. Those who remember Allaah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted are You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:190, 191]

And Allaah says, describing the attitude of the kuffaar towards the wisdom of His creation (interpretation of the meaning):

“And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire!”

[Saad 38:27]

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

Allaah tells us of His perfect wisdom in creating the heavens and the earth, and that He has not created them in vain, i.e., in play with no beneficial purpose.

“That is the consideration of those who disbelieve” in their Lord, because they think that which does not befit His Majesty.

“Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire!” Allaah created the heavens and earth in truth for truth. He created them so that His slaves might understand the completeness of His knowledge and power and the extent of His might, and that He alone is the One to be worshipped, and not those who have not created even an atom in the heavens or on earth. And that they might know that the Resurrection is true and that Allaah will judge between the people of good and evil. The one who is ignorant of the wisdom of Allaah should not think that Allaah will treat them equally when judging them. Hence Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Shall We treat those who believe (in the Oneness of Allaah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds as Mufsidoon (those who associate partners in worship with Allaah and commit crimes) on earth? Or shall We treat the Muttaqoon (the pious) as the Fujjaar (criminals, disbelievers, the wicked)?”
[Saad 38:28]

This does not befit Our wisdom and Our judgement. End quote.

Secondly:

Allaah has not created man to eat, drink and multiply, in which case he would be like the animals. Allaah has honoured man and favoured him far above many of those whom He has created, but many people insist on kufr, so they are ignorant of or deny the true wisdom behind their creation, and all they care about is enjoying the pleasures of this world. The life of such people is like that of animals, and indeed they are even more astray. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“while those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode”

[Muhammad 47:12]

“Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know!”

[al-Hijr 15:3]

“And surely, We have created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, and they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray; those! They are the heedless ones”

[al-A’raaf 7:179]

It is well known to wise people that the one who does a thing knows more about the wisdom behind it than anyone else and for Allaah is the highest description (cf. al-Nahl 16:60); He is the One Who has created mankind and He knows best the wisdom behind the creation of mankind. No one would dispute this with regard to worldly matters. All people are certain that their physical faculties have been created for a reason. The eye is for seeing, the ear is for hearing, and so on. Does it make sense for his physical faculties to have been created for a reason but for himself to have been created in vain? Or does he not agree to respond to the One Who created him when He tells him of the reason behind his creation?

Allaah has told us that the creation of the heavens and the earth, and of life and death, is for the purpose of testing, so as to test man. Whoever obeys Him, He will reward him, and whoever disobeys Him, He will punish him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: “You shall indeed be raised up after death,” those who disbelieve would be sure to say, “This is nothing but obvious magic”

[Hood 11:7]

“Who has created death and life that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving”

[al-Mulk 67:2]

From this test results a manifestation of the names and attributes of Allaah, such as Allaah’s names al-Rahmaan (the Most Gracious), al-Ghafoor (the Oft Forgiving), al-Hakeem (the Most Wise), al-Tawwaab (the Accepter of Repentance), al-Raheem (the Most Merciful), and other names of Allaah.

One of the greatest reasons for which Allaah has created mankind – which is one of the greatest tests – is the command to affirm His Oneness (Tawheed) and to worship Him alone with no partner or associate. Allaah has stated this reason for the creation of mankind, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)”

[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56]

Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

i.e., I have created them so that I may command them to worship Me, not because I have any need of them. ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah said, narrating from Ibn ‘Abbaas: “except that they should worship Me (alone)” willingly or unwillingly. This is the view favoured by Ibn Jareer. Ibn Jurayj said: i.e., except that they should know Me. Al-Rabee’ ibn Anas said: “Except that they should worship Me”, i.e., for the purpose of worship. End quote.

Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 4/239

Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

Allaah, may He be exalted, created mankind to worship Him and to know Him by His names and attributes, and to enjoin that upon them. Whoever submits to Him and does what is enjoined upon him will be one of those who are successful, but whoever turns away from that, they are the losers. He will inevitably gather them together in the Hereafter where He will reward or punish them for what He commanded and forbade them to do. Hence Allaah mentions how the mushrikeen denied the reward or punishment, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“But if you were to say to them: ‘You shall indeed be raised up after death,’ those who disbelieve would be sure to say, ‘This is nothing but obvious magic’”[Hood 11:7]

i.e., if you were to speak to these people and tell them about the Resurrection after death, they would not believe you, rather they would reject your words vehemently and deny the message you brought, and they would say, ‘This is nothing but obvious magic,’ but in fact it is obvious truth. End quote.

I’m reading back through a study on King David and this morning am reminded that God made me uniquely to be me.  That my gifts and talents are not like those of Pastor Ed Young Jr., the Bishop T.D. Jakes, or my friend Pastor David Hughes. Seed of Chucky (also known as Child’s Play 5: Seed Of Chucky, Child’s Play 5 or SOC) is a 2004 American horror film, which is the fifth entry in the popular Child’s Play series. Seed of Chucky follows the events of Bride of Chucky and stars Jennifer Tilly (who plays herself and also voices Tiffany), Billy Boyd (as the voice of Glen/Glenda), and Brad Dourif (as Chucky). The film features rapper Redman, director John Waters and S Club star Hannah Spearritt. It was written and directed by Don Mancini, who created Child’s Play and has written all sequels to date. With this entry, Mancini marked his directorial debut.

The film, shot in Romania, continues the series’ evolution from the pure-horror genre of the first movie to a hybrid horror-comedy. Besides spoofing other horror movies, the film references domestic dramas and tabloid television. This film also counts as the first film in the series to contain nudity.

• The script was originally offered to Universal in 1998, who turned it down. Focus Features (a division of Universal Studios) finally picked up the movie in 2003.
• Filmed on the largest soundstage in Romania and the second-largest soundstange in Europe where Cold Mountain (2003) was also shot.
• Because Focus Features has a reputation for yielding eloquent, “artsy” independent films, Rogue Pictures was created as an off-shoot to release this movie.
• Jennifer Tilly wanted to lose weight to play herself in the movie, but she and Don Mancini inserted “fat jokes” into the script in case she didn’t make it.
• The TV spots for this movie displays an unusual disclaimer: Britney Spears Does Not Appear In This Movie. This disclaimer was inserted into TV spots because Britney’s management was concerned that people might be lead to believe that Britney actually appears in the movie. It is not her in the movie; but a look-alike.
• The wife of the man Tiffany calls to apologize to is the widow of the cop she killed at the beginning of Bride of Chucky (1998).
• The gender confused child of Chucky and Tiffany is named either Glen or Glenda by his parents. Glen or Glenda (1953) was Edward D. Wood Jr.’s film in which Wood himself portrayed the transvestite known as Glen or Glenda.
• When the floor manager at the beginning of the film shouts “Hey, Tiffany’s left arm is loose again” and then the arm grabs his crotch, this is an in-joke as revealed on the DVD commentary for Bride of Chucky (1998). Jennifer Tilly explains that Chucky’s left arm kept grabbing her breasts during shoots.
• The First film to be made by Rogue Pictures.
• As revealed on the DVD’s commentary the directors and producer had difficulty agreeing on the look of Glen. The director wanted to give him his own look and style but the producer felt that he should have features similar to Chucky because after all Glen is his son. As a result Glen was given blue eyes, red hair, and freckles like Chucky. Glen’s blue eyes and red hair however are a different shade than Chucky’s.
• As revealed on the DVD commentary because of the low budget the crew were unable to shoot the much bigger Chucky vs Glen fight that was in the shooting script.
• Chris Sarandon was approached to reprise his role as Det. Mike Norris from the first film, but turned it down due to scheduling conflicts.
