From today on, Cheen Pitney, the SL-world famous sculptor, my example and friend, show the statues he made as private commissions, and thus made only for the eyes of the owner, his friends and his visitors. This is a unique chance to admire these masterpieces without having to hire a private detective or force Cheen to let you peek into his inventory. The pictures below are only a wee fraction of what is to be seen in the Crescent Moon Museum ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/FairChang%20Village/218/206/31 ) and I will show you sculptures I had never seen before and – this goes without doubt – I like a lot more than a lot.

Bonne visite.

“I love to do sculpture in SL because of the endless possibilities. Here I can give my sculpture the appearance of being made of any material I wish., colors, light, textures and movement can be placed on things with all the imagination I want to use.

In real life I often do art for children, and here in SL, I wish to put that childlike joy into my work. In our hearts we are all children I believe and I hope my fantasy things will bring a smile to the viewer. In my very serious works such as Magic Indian and condor I wish to pay tribute to Indians and native people Everywhere, who have knowledge and wisdom that we do not have in our modern world.

I love to express joy, and I would want the person viewing my work to come away with an uplifted feeling. If I achieve that I’ll feel I have done the job I set out to do.”
