Nagpur: Pace spearheads Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra revived India’s fortunes when they provided the vital breakthroughs of Mahela Jayawardene and Tillakaratne Dilshan respectively as going into the final 10 overs, the Nagpur ODI remained evenly poised.

The experienced Sri Lankan duo had added 66 runs for the third wicket as the visitors appeared to be cruising towards victory.

However, Nehra, who until then had gone for plenty of runs, redeemed himself when he ‘yorked’ Dilshan in the 36th over. Four overs later, it was Zaheer’s turn to celebrate as Jayawardene made a beeline to the dressing room to leave Sri Lanka at 238/4 after 40 overs.

Dilshan had slammed his second century on the trot, making 123 runs off just 113 balls, hitting 12 fours and 2 sixes.

Jayawardene made 39 runs.

India got a much needed lifeline when Sri Lankan captain Kumara Sangakkara ran himself out while attempting a non-existent single.

Sangakkara had backed too much down the pitch and by the time Tillakaratne Dilshan refused the run, Suresh Raina’s strong arm had already done the trick for India.

India sensed a window of opportunity, as after Sangakkara fell for 21 runs, spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Harbbhajan Singh chipped in with a few tight overs

Dilshan continued his rich vein of form as Sri Lanka had raced off to 100 runs in just the 14th over. Dilshan and Upal Tharanga provided a strong platform to Sri Lanka with a 102 run-partnership for the first wicket as the visitors started off earnestly in pursuit of the 302 run-target set by the Indians.

Their endeavor received a jolt, however, when Tharanga fell for 37 runs to Harbhajan Singh. He faced 42 balls and hit 5 fours.

Dilshan was firing on all cylinders as Indian bowlers strived hard for more success.

High on MSD; India amass 301/7

India recovered from a poor start and thanks largely to a fantastic century from skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, to post a very competitive 301/7 from their allotted 50 overs in the second one-dayer versus Sri Lanka at Nagpur on Friday.

While this was Dhoni’s second century on trot at this venue, the previous one having come just last month against the Australians, it was his 6th ODI ton overall.

Coming to bat with India trickily placed at 81/3 in the 17th over following Sachin Tendulkar’s dismissal, Dhoni anchored the Indian innings to perfection, playing perfect foil to stroke-players Virat Kohli (54 runs) and Suresh Raina (68 runs), before coming into his own in the final overs to propel India past the 300 run-mark.

Dhoni, who is the top-ranked batsman as per ICC’s ODI ratings, justified his top billing to the hilt throughout his 111 ball knock, scoring 107 runs with the aid of 8 fours and 2 towering sixes.

posted their highest-ever One-day total of 414 but a rampaging Sri Lanka very nearly pulled off a sensational victory before losing their way in the fag end to give the hosts a narrow three-run victory in a high-scoring thriller on Tuesday.

After the Indians rattled up 414 of 7 built around Virender Sehwag’s
146, Tillkaratne Dilshan (160) and Kumar Sangakkara (90 off 43 balls) launched a ruthless assault but the Indian bowlers held their nerve to eventually scamper home and give the home team a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

The Madhav Rao Scindia stadium turned out to be a batting paradise with over 825 runs being scored and India would consider themselves a trifle lucky to escape with a win despite the sloppy fielding and the erratic bowling.

It was only the second time that more than 800 runs were scored in a One-day match. The match between Australia and South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006 had produced 872 runs which is the highest so far.

The islanders needed 22 runs off 19 balls with five wickets intact in the tense dying moments of the game but Angelo Mathews and Thilina Kandamby got a little jittery and were unable to take their team to victory. The Lankans scored 411 for eight.

Apart from Sehwag’s blistering knock, captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (72) and Sachin Tendulkar (69) were the other notable contributors in India’s record total.

The Indians were guilty of dropping three catches, two of them sitters, and the ground fielding also left much to be desired. They had dropped as many as ten catches in the two Twenty20 matches.

The two teams will now travel to Nagpur for the second game to be played under flooodlights on Friday.
The Lankan run chase began with a flourish as the two openers Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga (67) tore the Indian bowling attack to shreds on a good batting strip.

None of the Indians bowlers could manage to stop the run flow in the early stages as both the batsmen unleashed a barrage of strokes.

Tharanga got a reprieve when he was on ten with Virat Kohli dropping a sitter at the point region much to the dismay of his teammates who have suddenly developed the habit of dropping catches far too often.

Dilshan and Tharanga put on a rollicking 188-run opening partnership to provide the flatform for the mammoth run chase.

Part-timer Suresh Raina provided the breakthrough when Tharanga stepped out but missed the line and Dhoni whipped off the bails behind the stumps.

Captain Kumar Sangakkara joined the action after Tharanga’s dismissal and immediately got into the act by going after the bowlers with a fine exhibition of strokeplay.

Sangakkara notched up his 50th half century in quick time as the two experienced player brought the asking rate down and took the islanders closer to the victory target.

The Lankan captain seemed to be in ominous form and was nearing his century when he mistimed his pull and Ravindra Jadeja held on to a simple catch at the fence off Pravin Kumar. His 90 came off just 43 balls and contained ten fours and five sixes.

The vastly experienced Sanath Jayasuriya, who came in at the number four slot, did not survive long as he fell to Harbhajan Singh.

Harbhajan struck a vital blow in his last over by getting rid of Dilshan, who stepped out but missed the line completely to see his off-stump knocked down.

Mahela Jayawardene was run out a couple of overs later and Sri Lanka were in a spot of bother as they slipped to 345 for five from a comfortable 316 for one.

Earlier, India surpassed their previous best total of 413 for five which they made against Bermuda at Port of Spain during the 2007 World Cup.

Sehwag, who took a heavy toll of the Lanka bowlers in the Tests, was unstoppable after a cautious beginning and made a career-best 146 in just 102 balls with 17 fours and six sixes.

Sehwag and Tendulkar, who played the perfect foil to make a fine 63-ball 69 with 10 fours and a six before being bowled by Dilhara Fernando, laid a solid foundation with a 153-run partnership after Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara opted to field first on winning the toss.

After Tendulkar’s departure in the 20th over, Sehwag and Dhoni (72 off 53 balls) got involved in a splendid 156-run partnership for the second wicket to take India past the 300-mark in the 35th over.

 आइये इस टूलबार के  बारे में विस्तार से जानते हैं।

1. सर्च : इसमें सामान्य गुगल सर्च के आलावा इमेज, न्यूज, स्टॉक और मौसम की खोज तो है ही, चिट्ठाखोज में आप सभी एग्रीगेटरों से भी  सीधे सर्च कर सकते हैं। यानि जो कुछ भी आप चिट्ठाखोज पर सर्च करते हैं वह केवल नारद, हिंदीब्लॉग्स, चिट्ठाजगत और ब्लॉगवाणी से सर्च होगा।

2. हिंदी लिखें: इस बटन में कुशिनारा टूल का लिंक दिया गया है। इसे क्लिक करते ही आप जिस भी साइट या चिट्ठे पर हों, आप वहां हिंदी में लिख पायेंगे बिना किसी अन्य सॉफटवेयर की सहायता के। यानि अगर आपने अपने कंप्यूटर पर हिंदी लिखने का  कोई अलग से सॉफटवेयर नहीं स्थापित किया है तो भी आप हिंदी लिख पायेंगे। इस टूल में आप फोनेटिक हिंदी लिख सकते हैं यानि यदि आपको ’भारत’ लिखना है तो आप ’bharat’ ही टाइप करेंगे।

3. परिचर्चा, नारद तथा चिट्ठाचर्चा: एक क्लिक पर आप इन साइट्स पर जा सकते हैं।

 4. पत्रिकायें : इस ड्रॉप डाउन मीनू में नेट पर हिंदी की 25 पत्रिकाओं के लिंक हैं। यानि यदि अप हिंदी पत्रिकायें पढ़ने के शौंकीन हैं तो न तो लिंक के पते याद रखने का झंझट और न ही बुकमार्क करने की जरूरत।

5. काम के लिंक : इसमें आपको मिलेंगे बहुत से काम के लिंक। सबसे पहले समाचार में हिंदी की सभी समाचारों कि साइट्स के लिंक हैं। इसके बाद हिंदी के शब्द कोश, फिर हिंदी के सर्च इंजन, इसके बाद हिंदी लिखने के सभी ऑनलाईन और ऑफ्लाइन टूल्स, गुगल और याहू समूह के लिंक और बहुत से अन्य   काम के लिंक हैं।

6. एग्रीगेटर: हिंदी के सभी एग्रीगेटरों के लिंक इस मीनू में हैं। जितने भी और नये एग्रीगेटर आयेंगे उनके लिंक यहां जोड़े जायेंगे।

7. क्रिकेट स्कोर कार्ड : इसमें जुड़ा है लाइव क्रिकेट स्कोर कार्ड। इस स्कोर कार्ड पर अपने आप अपडेट होने वाला स्कोर कार्ड है जो विश्व में कही भी हो रहे क्रिकेट मैच का लाइव स्कोर देता है। इस छोटे से विजेट को आप स्क्रीन पर कहीं भी लेजा सकते हैं।

8. रेडियो : यह यंत्र इस टूलबार की खास विशेषता है। टूलबार में जुड़े़ इस रेडियो  में पचास से अधिक हिंदी संगीत के रेडियो जो कि नेट पर उप्लब्ध हैं, जोड़े गये हैं। इनमे आल इंडिया रेडियो से प्रसारित दैनिक दोपहर समाचार जो कि आधे घंटे का समाचार का कार्यक्रम है वह भी जुड़ा है और इसके साथ साथ आकाशावाणी के हर घंटे प्रसारित होने वाले पांच मिनट के हिंदी समाचार बुलेटिन भी अपने आप हर एक घंटे में अपडेट होते हैं।

आप चाहें तो आप अपने लाईव स्ट्रीम भी इसमें जोड़ सकते हैं।

इस सब के अलावा इस रेडियो प्लेयर की एक खूबी यह भी है कि आप इस पर अपनी हार्ड डिस्क पर सुरक्षित संगीत भी सुन सकते है यानि इंटेरनेट पर सर्फ करते करते संगीत सुनने के लिये आपको अलग से मीडिया प्लेयर या और कोई ऐसा कार्यक्रम चलाने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।

9. इमेल नोटिफायर : आप इसमें अपने इमेल एकाउंट को सैट कर सकते हैं। आप इसमें हॉटमेल, याहू, जीमेल तथा कोई भी POP  एकांउट सैट कर सकते हैं। नयी मेल आने पर यह नोटिफायर आवाज के साथ आपको सूचित करता है।

11. समाचर फीड : गुगल समाचार की आर एस एस फीड जिसमें आप पचास ताजा  समाचारों के शीर्षक देख सकते हैं।

12. चिट्ठों की फीड: यदि आपको बार बार नारद पर झांकने की आदत है तो आपके बहुत काम का बटन है। इसमें चिट्ठों की ताजा फीड अपने आप अपडेट होती रहती है।

13. चिट्ठों की सूची: हिंदी के कुछ अच्छे चिट्ठों की सुची जहां आप सीधे क्लिक करके इन में से किसी भी चिट्ठे पर पहुंच सकते हैं।

14. संदेश : यहां आपको टूलबार में हुए ताजा परिवर्तनों के बारे में सूचित किया जायेगा। यह संदेश दोनों तरफ से काम करते हैं अर्थात यदि आप भी कोई सुझाव देना चाहते हैं, टूलबार में कोई समस्या आ रही है अथवा आप टूलबार के प्रयोगकर्ताओं को कोई संदेश देना चाहते हैं तो आप भी यहां संदेश भेज सकते हैं।

15. गेम्स : यहां आप कभी कभी छोटे छोटे गेम्स खेल सकते हैं।
