Partido de futbol: FC BARCELONA vs REAL MADRID.

El atacante argentino Gonzalo Higuaín anotó el único tanto del Real Madrid en la victoria ante el FC Zurich, en un soso partido del Grupo C de la Liga de Campeones del fútbol europeo disputado en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu de Madrid.

Higuaín marcó el gol luego de recibir una asistencia de Kaká en el minuto 21, pero el equipo del DT chileno Manuel Pellegrini no pudo conseguir su dominio y apenas terminó ganando con la minima diferencia dl delantero argentino.

Cristiano Ronaldo ingresó promediando la segunda parte el cuadro Merengue, sustituyendo a Raúl. El portugués retornó, luego de superar una lesión de tobillo que lo incapacito aproximadamente por dos meses.

En tanto, el otro compromiso del grupo, el AC Milan empató 1-1 con el Olympique de Marsella en el estadio San Siro.

Con este resultado, el conjunto italiano quedó con ocho unidades, uno más que el cuadro del DT Didier Deschamps, y un triunfo ante el FC Zurich el próximo mes le daría el paso a ala siguiente fase del torneo continental.

En el sur de Francia, Marsella recibirá al Real Madrid, que lidera la tabla con 10 puntos.

Cristiano Ronaldo se mostró contento en su vuelta a los terrenos de juego después de haber superado la lesión. El portugués, que se mostró con algo de miedo, no dio importancia a esto señalando que “marcaré en el próximo partido”.

Pensando ya en el choque del Camp Nou ante el Barcelona, la estrella portuguesa no lamentó el hecho de no haber visto portería contra los suizos y afirmó que “en el próximo partido marcaré”, ya que “quiero jugar contra el Barcelona”.

El luso esperará a lo que decida el técnico, pero resalta que “estoy bien y quiero jugar ante el Barcelona” en un partido que “queremos ganar, da igual 1-0, 2-0… queremos ganar”.

Por último, ante las críticas que recibe el juego del Real Madrid la estrella blanca recordó que “estamos primeros en Liga y en ‘Champions’. Conmigo y sin mí los buenos jugadores tienen que jugar y yo no sé si lo seré en este caso”.

Hay victorias que no lo parecen. En ese grupo entra la conseguida por el Real Madrid frente al Zúrich, octavo de la Liga suiza (compuesta por diez equipos). De este partido sólo quedará que Cristiano Ronaldo volvió tras dos meses lesionado.

El Madrid venció con un gol de Higuaín, que esta vez tuvo como compañero de ataque a Raúl en lugar de Benzema. El resultado fue el mismo. Los blancos jugaron mal, sin ideas y sin bandas, el gran problema. Incluso cuando salió Cristiano el equipo siguió jugando por el centro. El portugués abrió algún hueco gracias a su velocidad, pero nada más.

A Pellegrini le siguen saliendo los números y a eso hay que agarrarse. En la Champions, el Madrid no está clasificado, pero casi. Le vale con perder por menos de tres goles en Marsella. Si quiere ser primero de grupo, está obligado a ganar.

Y el domingo el gran clásico en el Camp Nou. Viendo el partido de ayer del Barça y el de hoy del Madrid, la lógica se decanta por un 1 fijo. Pero en estos partidos cuentan otras cosas. La mayoría escapan a la razón humana.

P.D: Resulta que Guti será baja para el partido contra el Barcelona por una rotura fibrilar. ¿Cómo es posible, si llevaba unos días sin entrenarse por una gripe? Cada día tengo más claro que el ‘14′ se come el turrón en otro sitio…

O clássico entre Barcelona e Real Madrid, já chama atenção só pelo confronto. Mas, agora, um molhinho foi acrescentado a esta rivalidade. Para o jogo do próximo domingo (29), a torcida catalã está preparando uma surpresinha para o atacante Cristiano Ronaldo. Um bandeirão com o formato da camisa do Barça, o número 9 e o nome Ronaldo deve ser exibido no Camp Nou durante. Mas, calma… O Ronaldo referido é o Fenômeno.

Segundo o site “Goal.com”, a torcida organizada Boixos Nois, do Barcelona, cantará: “Só há um Ronaldo e ele não é português!” Tudo para provocar a cabecinha do bonitinho Luso-Madrilenho e ressaltar o feioso brasileiro.

Enquanto isso, Cristiano Ronaldo recupera-se de uma lesão no tornozelo direito e deve voltar a atuar pelo Real nesta quarta-feira (25) contra o FC Zurich, pela Liga dos Campeões. A expectativa do jogador é estar inteiro para pegar o rival catalão no clássico de domingo.

I Can't Believe It Either...

The beautiful game did not disappoint tonight, and the match results will give this prognosticator some food for thought going into the final matchday come early December. Despite making a number of seemingly routine ‘guestimations’ regarding the ties of the day, I was once again foiled by the anything-can-happen spirit of the competition. Most notable of the suprises of the day was the early exit of Liverpool FC, a team that has struggled both at home and throughout Europe this football season. Rumour has it they will be looking for some help in the form of a new blood during the transfer window in January (more on that to come).

Before getting into the results of this past half of the matchday, let’s get down to business on predicting the forecast for tomorrow’s clashes… some of which will undoubtedly end up being a footy fan’s dream.

We begin with Group A, where top teams Bordeaux and Juventus will look to do battle in the hopes of officially securing a trip to the next round of play. Bayern Munich will need every ounce of their hunger in order to beat Maccabi Haifa who can do no better than spoiler at this point the competition. Bayern must win to have any hope of continuing into the knockout round. Look for Bordeaux and Juventus to dance to a stalemate with Bayern to win.

In Group B, CSKA Moskva will need full points against a Wolfsburg team that has nearly qualified. Anything short will spell exit from the competition. The already safe Manchester United will likely field their second string  of footballers against a Beskitas team that has already conceded defeat in a season that has been a complete wash. Despite starting their bench Man U should rule the day. Wolfsburg to put out Moskva’s flickering flame.

Group C is where all the action is on this half of the matchday, with all 4 teams holding a mathematical chance of advancing past the group stage. Reports have tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to return for Real Madrid’s clash at the Bernabeu against Zurich. While the Swiss have managed a decent run considering their company, I cant imagine their trip will go much further. Elsewhere, Marseille will have to have their wits about them if they intend on taking full points from this matchday as they will face joint group leaders AC Milan, a team that edged them 2-1 in their first meeting this season. Marseille will be hard pressed to advance without the win, unfortunately, I just don’t think they have what it takes. Milan to win. Madrid to win.

CR9 - Ready For Action

Group D, which… well its already been decided with both Chelsea and Porto advancing. In the interest of good fun, I am going to wager that Chelsea will sit a number of its big guns in order to rest them for the EPL match against Arsenal on Sunday, and that Porto will send their top XI to battle… just enough to edge past the English giants. Atletico Madrid will take on APOEL Nicosia for pride… and if Madrid doesnt play in top form, it will be another in a long line of disappointments on the season. Porto to win. Atletico and APOEL to tie.

El Madrid y El Barcelona , unos de los clubes más importantes de España y del mundo, reconocidos no solo por sus trofeos y copas, si no por sus grandes jugadores  como Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Kaká , Karim Benzema , Gonzalo Higuain , Iker Casillas . Por los Catalanes,  Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernández, Gerard Pique , “Don Andrés” Iniesta , Thierry Henry,  entre otros , una de las posibles bajas para el plantel del fc Barcelona, en el clásico son, Zlatan Ibrahimovic y Lionel Messi. Este Clásico se jugara el domingo 29 de noviembre en el Camp Nou de Barcelona.

El Madrid se ha presentado en toda esta campaña de la Liga, con muchas dificultades, ya que esta elimidado de la Copa del Rey, y el ingeniero Pelegrini no ha definido concretamente la alineacion del plantel del conjunto merengue. Sin embargo el Real se encuentra en el tope de la tabla en la Liga Española, pero el puesto no esta del todo definido ya que el clasico del primero y segundo lugar de la Liga se disputara este Domingo.

Todas las miradas se enfocan en este clásico porque estarán las estrellas más importantes del mundo, como ya han oído, otra de las bajas será Yaya Toure, Rafael Márquez y Eric Abidal, por la enfermedad llamada AH1N1, la cual ha recorrido todo el mundo especialmente a México y demás países de América .

Regresando al tema futbolístico el Barcelona la temporada pasada jugó un partido muy bien disputado ya que los hombres del “PEP” estaban solo buscando el titulo de la liga, ese día el equipo del Barca se impuso por 6 tantos a 2, en el Estadio Santiago Bernabéu de Madrid.

Esperemos que los equipos enfrenten un partido con el llamado “Fair Play”, Ya que todos los hinchas esperan eso de ellos, Ya que son los mejores.

Estarás Listo Para el Clásico???

With a 1-0 victory over Racing Santander and Barca’s 1-1 draw at Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid are now atop the La Liga table, 1 point clear of the Catalunian side.

This comes just weeks after many fans worldwide were calling for the head of Manuel Pellegrini after the team’s early exit from the Cope del Rey.  True, Real is not playing as well as it did when the season began, but they are getting better and better.  The score of the Racing match did not do justice to the flow of the game, so the fans will be pleased with the way the team played, and with Los Merengues in position to top both La Liga and the Champions League, they cannot be disappointed with the results.

With a win tomorrow against FC Zurich, Madrid can hang on to the its share of the points lead in Champions League Group C.  If Madrid and AC Milan both win, then both teams will be guaranteed a berth in the last 16, with Marseille all bout garaunteed the 3rd place and the Europa League berth that comes with it.

If Madrid win on Sunday, they will be 4 points clear of Barcelona.  This is even more important considering that the second meeting will take place at the Bernabéu in early 2010.

The return of Cristiano Ronaldo is near (he is on the squad list for the Zurich match), and while the Champions League is the most important competition, it would be best to have him come on at the end of the Zurich game as long as the result is in their favor, but to not start him until Sunday.  The reason for this is, in order to be ready for Barca you need to make sure that he can play at all, but you do not want to bring him back until absolutely necessary to make sure he will not get reinjured like he did during the World Cup Qualifying Group Stage with Portugal.

El chileno ha asegurado que el jugador está listo para disputar algunos minutos. La idea es que el portugués reaparezca antes del clásico, donde se espera que ya sea titular. A pesar de la cercanía contra el partido del Barcelona, en el Madrid prefieren pensar en el choque de Champions. De esta forma, Pellegrini podrá contar con todos su jugadores a excepción de Guti, que continúa de baja y ni siquiera ha entrenado por una afección gripal.

Proof, as if we needed it, that the whole world has actually gone stark raving mad. On it’s first day in America alone, the vampire/werewolf teen fest made an unbelievable $72.7 million, an absolutely astounding amount and replacing The Dark Knight as the most popular movie of all time.

Let’s just put this into perspective for a minute; $72 million. That is about the debt of a small country, or the value of a moderately priced football club, or almost Cristiano Ronaldo. IN ONE DAY. As much as I hate to admit it, the makers must be doing something right somewhere.

What makes it even more astonishing is that one third of that (approximately $26.3 million) was taken from midnight screenings. MIDNIGHT SCREENINGS. That means that, if my rather rickety maths is correct, just over $2 million people stayed up and saw in a new day by seeing New Moon. Mental.

Maybe I’ve been missing something with this whole Twilight lark. Maybe I might have to watch it after all…

He came into his own at the weekend

Fletcher never ceases to amaze, is a must have in big games, and spurs the team on. Probably next only to Wayne Rooney for his fighting spirit and contribution on the pitch, Fletcher reveals some interesting things in an interview about his affirmations before big games, and life without the Most Expensive Player of the world.

He makes no bones of the fact that he loves propping himself against the best players.

“I love challenging myself against all the best players. I watch how good they are, but when we play them I think to myself  ‘right, I’m going to see how good you really are, Fabregas, Lampard and Gerrard. I’m going to get amongst you and see how you like it’.

And when you’ve not got the ball, I’m still going to get about you and see how you like it.

I’m going to ask you do you fancy it? Do you like getting kicked? Do you like the fact that I’m going to be at you for the whole 90 minutes? As soon as you get the ball I’m going to be in your face.

You’re not going to like it one bit. And when we have the ball, I’m going to run you into the corner and you’re going to have to follow me. Are you ready for that? Because that’s what’s going to happen.

That’s my attitude and I don’t feel I’ve come off second best to anyone this season.”

Considering how under rated he used to be, this really is saying some. But not anymore, as his contributions have been under increasing spotlight and continue to get him much deserved acclaim. The fact that we missed him in the Champions League Final is enough to underline his importance.

On Ronaldo and his move away from OT

Most of the footballing fraternity had been saying that the going will get tough for United after Ronaldo’s departure. Fletcher emphasized that the gap is being plugged and we have already showed signs of adjusting to life without him.

“Any team in the world would miss Cristiano. He’s a fantastic player and a great goalscorer.

He adapted so much when he was here. He went from being a silky winger to being a goalscoring winger and the best player in the world.

Hopefully we can become a more-rounded team and other players will raise their game to cover the gap left by his absence.

We need more goals from midfield and more goals from all the players. That will make us a stronger team, because we won’t be as reliant on one player.

Teams adapt when players leave, much as Cristiano was brilliant for us, the team sacrificed a lot for him too.

As a midfielder, I knew that I couldn’t go bombing forward because Cristiano had gone forward. I knew that I had to cover on the right so that the left-back and left midfielder couldn’t double up on our full-back.

Maybe now we’re a lot more rigid 4-4-2, with everyone knowing their role. There are perhaps more opportunities for midfielders to get in the box and get goals.

Other players will hopefully step up. Wazza springs to mind straight away and he’s already banging the goals in.

You could see at the start of this season that he was really hungry. He was in the shadows of Cristiano and often sacrificed himself for the greater need of the team.

Now it’s his time to become a bit more selfish and score the winning goals, while other players can also do a job, like Berba and Antonio.”

Se trata de los dos mejores jugadores del mundo. Uno, el portugués Cristiano Ronaldo, figura del Real Madrid y ganador del Balón de Oro del año pasado. El otro, el argentino Lionel Messi, crack del Barcelona y casi seguro vencedor del mismo premio en esta temporada. La realidad indica que los dos arrastran lesiones y están en duda para el derby del próximo domingo en el Camp Nou.

Vayamos por partes. El sábado, Barcelona igualó con Bilbao como visitante y perdió la punta. Pero eso no fue lo peor. Messi le pidió el cambio al técnico Guardiola en el segundo tiempo y se encendieron las alarmas. Se temió lo peor. Pero los estudios médicos arrojados ayer a la mañana denunciaron cierto optimismo. Se determinó una leve lesión muscular y no se descartó la presencia del argentino en el choque de mañana ante el Inter por la Liga de Campeones. ¿Qué hará Guardiola? ¿Arriesgará a Messi de cara al derby?

Cruzando la vereda, la situación es similar. Mientras el Real Madrid disfruta el liderato, los hinchas aguardan por el regreso de Cristiano Ronaldo, quien lleva casi dos meses sin jugar por una lesión en su tobillo que se complicó mucho más de lo previsto. El futbolista se perdió los choques con su seleccionado por las Eliminatorias. Pero, dicen, no se quiere quedar afuera del clásico.

Así están las cosas a seis días de unos de los partidos más importantes del mundo. Con las dos estrellas en duda. Con los hinchas del Barcelona y del Real Madrid rezando. ¿Llegarán?
