Those of you who have followed the many What’s In My Bag shots that I have on flickr know that I hav

Those of you who have followed the many What’s In My Bag shots that I have on flickr know that I have a couple of bags that I carry on my daily commute. Given the “just in case” freak that I am I always need a couple of thing most people don’t lug around: a dynamo torch, a swiss knife, hand sanitiser AND a special surfaces (doorknobs, etc.) cleaning solution, umbrella, camera, 0,6 l water bottle, several needle tip pens of different colours.

Until recently I had a Hamptons Hybrid BBP bag (Bad Back Pack – http://bbpbags.com/hamptons.html) it can be seen with the huge load that I carried on this flickr-picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/beorn_ours/2520668457/ . This model is a sturdy, durable bag that resisted to a heavy daily usage for quite a while, but… The nets were the first ones to go. I guess this is not something to be surprised of and it’s either a lightweight net or some kind of kevlar mesh to withstand time, weight and pulling. This I never considered a problem and after cutting the remains of the nets of from the bag I went on enjoying the many compartments and the amazingly comfortable Bag2Pak system. The patented marvel transforms your messenger bag in a backpack. Aside from that the laptop compartment is one of the best protected out there — it is external to the bag itself, so you can take your machine out and put it away again quickly, the compartment has semi-rigid protective panels with a soft lining and the waterproof bag closes on your laptop with an additionally rubberised and isolated zipper. And then it broke… The bag is still whole and in a perfect condition, but the swivelling carabiner that attaches the strap to the bag, has a small knob-like head that attaches it to its lower part and this is where one day, while walking (not even running) to catch the train, this know snapped and my bag carrying my beloved MacBook, went flying. I was fortunately able to catch it before it reached the ground.

This left me looking for a new bag. I am quite familiar with the whole Crumpler lineup available in Europe, so I naturally thought about them. Then for a short while I considered as well Timbukt2. I don’t know about you, but I need one bag to give me enough compartments for me to be able to organise all the stuff I carry, which means many of them. That is something the Timbukt2 models I’ve seen so far don’t have. So I turned back to Crumpler. You can even feel the quality of those bags, not only see it:

The strap is wide and thick that it will never curl and deform itself like it is the case with generic ones.

The internal and external lining is doubled and thick, not letting the bag being deformed whether it is burst-full or absolutely empty

Buckles, zippers and Velcro’s are sturdy, without being hard to use

It was an ordeal to find Crumpler’s or Timbuktu2’s in Zurich, where I live, I even asked on Twitter. For those of you looking to buy in Zurich a good messenger bag that isn’t Freitag (www.freitag.ch), don’t waste the time looking in sports stores. There may be Timbuk2 in some bike shops. Some of the smaller or camera-oriented Crumpler’s could be found in some photo-equipment shops. Me recommendation is for you to start the search in Jelmoli (www.jelmoli.ch). I found there my Cheesy Disco BIG LOGO (http://www.crumplereurope.com/?product=Cheesy_Buzz&page=details&product_line=648). The laptop sleeve is removable, the there are enough compartments to have in the general compartments only the sanitisers, my Ordning & Reda notepad (http://www.ordning-reda.com/pages/index.asp) and a small history book. There are two bottles at the moment in the bag one is jasmin green tea, the other a SIGG Black Retro Steel Works 0,6l bottle with cup (http://www.sigg.com/ch-shop/en/steelworks.html?id=23&___from_store=de) and the bag still isn’t feeling too full. I feel like I returned home after having being lost for a long time.

The total external volume of the bag was also something of concern this time. I was used to rather big bags and back packs and this time not only did I explicitly not want a backpack, but I wanted as well a considerable reduction of the size of the bump I had every day on my back. This would not have been possible if I hadn’t replaced my MacBook with an iMac at home and an iPhone for all other needs when on the go, but that is a different topic for a different post and another time. It’s gotten late even for a guy with a chronic insomnia like me.

Was at PC Fair yesterday and just so happen to drop by the Crumpler shop to see if they have stock on their Industry Disgrace since i ordered it way back in July 2009 and have not heard from them ever since…To my relieve they actually have some stock left but the only colour is brown and 2 limited edition straps..since i just want it to ease the burden of my added flash to my D90..i went for the normal 1.

so if you’re all asking for the price? well…the normal 1 cost RM59 whereas the limited edition ones cost rm89…i wouldn’t pay rm30 extra for a limited edition 1 since they are all the same..just different designs…hehe

Denny crane. No but seriously, Boston Legal is a very good show. Maybe being a lawyer isn’t so

Denny crane.

No but seriously, Boston Legal is a very good show. Maybe being a lawyer isn’t so bad. Nah, medical profession for me…unless i fail in which i’ll be pretty much screwed.

So far I haven’t done much these holidays, just chilled back sitting with a lemonade whilst watching some old school Dragonball Z and now Boston Legal. My life is pretty boring at the moment. Still missing Sim…

Still craving money to buy stuff on ebay – a crumpler, a D300S, a new MacBook Pro, a new iMac, a 24-70mm Nikkor f/2.8 AF-S lens… Even a new HD camcorder with a large image sensor. But I literally have no cash money, and hence must work with kids till christmas.

Speaking of work, training day from yesterday was longer than expected. We will be working with a Nikon D70 with a 18-75mm lens, an umbrella flash bounce system, an iMac and some other gear. I’ll be in charge of the store on Wednesdays (also known as 2IC Wednesday as all supervisors tend to take their days off on Wednesday). The next issue is the actual Santa set, we’ll be working with the theme of “Aussie Santa” and as a result we’ll not only be working with Santa’s throne…but also Santa’s UTE! We don’t even know how we can really integrate the ute into these photos…Should be interesting how this all goes when my first shift starts on Saturday.

By the way…

Spring hadn’t quite kicked off in Melbourne by mid September the weather had regressed to cold

Spring hadn’t quite kicked off in Melbourne by mid September the weather had regressed to cold and rain only a fortnight before my departure to Canada. It was still cold enough to sport a scarf as you can see by this picture of supportive parliamentarians wearing a scarf we designed in collaboration with Plan Australia for the Because I’m a Girl campaign.

After tormenting Fareeda Chand at Austrade in Toronto for two years with the prospect of an Otto and Spike marketing visit, finally during mid September we made the decision to present at the Mode Accessories Show. The consequences of our decision sunk in quickly – less than two weeks to complete a new cardboard display booth.

Before I could get ready to leave the residual winter weather played an important role in making our task more difficult.

First I smashed my ankle into the bitumen while riding my bike. I was checking on a friend’s house while he was away in Canada and the roads were slippery from an unseasonal tropical downpour. My ankle blew up, went black – the weekend before I had to begin the task of building the booth. Then exactly a week later I endured a mental scarring when the Saints lost the Grand Final. It had taken a year to get used to the idea that they were winners only to have it snatched away again.

The booth for Mode was special as it had the added requirement that all the pieces had to fit into 5 shipping cartons. We needed a design that would give us maximum wall coverage, floor area and be lightweight and strong. After pages of sketches, mock ups and with time rapidly evaporating we had to move straight on to building the final construction. Fortunately it all worked and the pieces could be freighted out a week prior to the show.

Three units of the modular display system

The design is based on a modular system of interlocking units each is the dimensions of the inside measurements of a yarn carton, 620 mm X 450 mm.

Seven units make the base

Large display form

And this is how it came together in situ.

At the Mode Show

I always imagine when I travel to the Northern Hemisphere that the there will be a distinct change in the season. This time I had the impression of being in a continuous Autumn. It’s a really disorienting sensation that leaves you wondering what season you’re coming from and going to. My mate Joe Rogers (whose house I was checking on and who hails from Nova Scotia) assures me Canada has the same effect on him at this time of year. The other thing that took a little getting used to was the lack of little local cafés. It took me a while to find this great little French Pâtisserie as most places in Toronto are franchised – looking out their window at Trinity Bellwoods Park it’s hard to tell that it’s Autumn.

Trinity Bellwoods Park from Clafouti's window

On my way across town on day one I was reminded of our connection with Plan and the B.I.A.G. campaign when we pulled up alongside these posters.

Once I hit the ground I had two days to familiarize myself with the lay out of the city while I located the last bits and pieces needed to finish the booth.

Regal

The guys at Regal had everything I needed to complete the build on our stand. It is such a great store I wish I’d photographed the interior – wall to wall tools and gadgets - just like a real hardware store should be. I visited a wide range of stores from the large department stores and international brand name stores to small consignment boutiques specialising in Canadian made craft. The window displays in the two ‘big’ stores were elaborate and fantastic.

Fishing at Holt Renfrew

Holt’s lavish, layered outdoors themed Autumn windows were approaching psychedelic.

Barbie at The Bay

Life sized

At The Bay the windows featured Barbie. Not the doll but Barbie clothes for real people – I’m not sure if it’s life imitating art maybe life imitating commerce.

There were a few reminders of home – Australian clothing brands stocked in stores around town. Nobody Jeans from our neighborhood in Fitzroy were available in some good stores like Lileo in the Distillery and Lavish and Squalor on Queen West.

Nobody in Lileo

Toronto has a layered public transit system, subway (TTC), ground level trains and buses (GoTransit) and street cars. It was hard not to think of Melbourne – riding the ‘rocket’ along King and Queens streets.

It’s great to see different approaches to issues – I couldn’t help noticing this public health message.

I quickly became aware of another form of transport closer to my heart – bikes. Everywhere I was noticing examples of a strong bike culture. When I photographed this eccentric bike trailer the guy who made it appeared from a doorway to make sure I wasn’t trying to steal his design concept. My interest was in the aesthetic properties of the trailer not the engineering which he assured me were exceptional as the arm attaching the trailer to the bike had a universal joint for fluid movement.

Copper pipe trailer

Like cities all over the world the fixed wheel bike phenomena is sweeping through Toronto – converted road bikes and track bikes kept popping up everywhere. The ones I have photographed I liked for the intricacy of the paint work and the choice of colour combinations – Fixie 2 was an unusual combo of white fading into dark purple contrasted with bronze anodised head stem, handle bars and pedals. Number 1 used a dark grey frame with hot pink highlights on the head badge and on the top of the front forks and grips.

Located on Queens Street West is Toronto’s Community Bicycle Network – it’s hard to miss all the yellow signs and bikes parked on the pavement. You can go there to rent a bike, fix or make one. There’s a lot of bike action on Queen West.

C.B.N. bike stand

One of the highlights of the trip was singing I heard each morning outside my hotel room door. At first I wasn’t sure who was serenading the new day until I discovered the housemaid Maxine’s mellifluous voice escaping from the open door of the next room. I asked if she sang anywhere else and she replied in a beautiful lilting Jamaican accent, “only in Church”. Maxine generously allowed me to take her photo as she was a bit concerned about a strange guy asking to take her picture.

Maxine

I’ve always been interested in Jamaica so finding a city that has a big Jamaican population and culture with Mr Jerk restaurants to Ethiopian Coptic Churches was an added fascination for me. The signs below feature the ancient Amharic language of Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Orthodox Church

In another part of the city I discovered Corrado’s Barber Shop on Bathurst Street. I love the painting on the front, it reminds me of Nigerian barber shop paintings. I was so captivated by the sign that I had to go in. I knew I needed a trim and the painting pushed to do something about it. Corrado emigrated from the Southern most part of the Italian mainland fifty-three years ago. He said he’d like to be there now, “somewhere that it’s summer nine months of the year.”

Corrado's

Here he is surrounded by some very buxom women – company on the long afternoons napping in the chair between customers. He was such a character I didn’t notice handing over $20 for a number zero trim, despite the fact the he missed a section on the back of my head.

Streetscape Queen West

My favourite area in Toronto is West on Queens Street. There’s a strong culture that’s evident in the shops and businesses that resonate with visuals, design, and an eclectic style that reminded me of home. Jennifer Durand at Ziliotto told me that often people from Melbourne feel very at home on Queen West. It’s also where you’d find a Crumpler store in Toronto.

The store windows in this precinct presented a catholic array of objects displayed in unconventional ways.

The next image completely baffled me when I first saw it.
Toronto is a great city and Otto and Spike will soon be there. To get this far we were lucky to get help from some new friends.

Fareeda Chand at Austrade, Peter G from N.A.F.E, Jason at Crumpler, Sean and Lisa at dconstruct, Orusia from Pushan, Jen from Jeelee, and Jo Balles (even though we didn’t get to meet).

that’s why i intended not to read any more blogs out there.
if you happened to read this,
i still wonder,
what keep you coming?… i thought i was already too boring!

aniways,
i’m gonna do a post which i find rather repulsive.
you know, those kind of blogs out there,
which i find like, WHATEVER – kind…
so when you click, it will be a different kind of read…

Well, I outgrew my “best camera bag evah“!!! With the addition of a lens and speedlite my Lowepro bag became too small…so I decided it was time for more space. And with that I’ve ordered a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar bag!

I maybe could have gotten away with the 6 Million, but decided I didn’t want to risk outgrowing this one too soon & plus if I decide I want to carry my video camera along somewhere I’ll have the room – or if not I’ll have plenty of room for things I would normally carry in my purse or diaper bag if I take kiddos on a photo outing with me! Plus, there are always dreams of new and exciting lenses and then they would already have a home waiting on them!!

So, my Lowepro bag is actually for sell – I’ve listed it on our classifieds at work and will put it on Craig’s List, too I guess – if you’re interested let me know! It is a fabulous bag and I hope I’m as satisfied with the Crumpler as I was with the Lowepro! Anyone have either bag already – what’s your opinion of the bags?

Canastilla completa

¡La bolsa está a tope! Y no veáis qué ganas tengo de empezar a utilizar todas esas cositas…

Dragi pretini,

Death and Taxes magazine pointed out one of the most important ways New Yorkers can express themselves and show the rest of the city their personality, and it’s with one simple item– the bag. While you may only use your bag for utility purposes, to carry around the items that really tell the world who you are, the bag can actually transform your identity to those who see you every day.

The magazine displays a few subway dwellers with backpacks, totes, and laptop bags from Jansport, Dakine, LRG, and J. Fold, but a local store you may want to make your next carrry-all purchase is the West Village’s “Crumpler,” neighboring featured space 24 Horatio Street.

Crumpler carries stylish messenger bags, backpacks, luggage, laptop bags and accessories, each with unique names like “The Manchild,” “8 Million Dollar Home,” and “Baby Anchovy.” If you really want to show off your individuality to those staring at you on the F-Train, custom bags are also available.

Featured on CNN, Outside magazine, and Backpacker.com, (among others) Crumpler offers high quality bags to fit and highlight any personality, plus it will give the rest of us subway riders something to admire throughout the commute.

A few days ago after returning from an assignment in the Philippines, I received this wonderful gift

A few days ago after returning from an assignment in the Philippines, I received this wonderful gift from a good friend. I think the size and the bee-to-honey colour made my wife lit up with enthusiasm as she started to have ideas what she could do with it. But putting her breakfast in The Five Million Dollar Home seems so wrong! Haha. This bag doesn’t work for my favourite body and lens combo—5D MkII with Grip and 70-200mm f/2.8 (don’t think an f/4 would fit either). It’s perfect for photographers who are light travelers with a prime and wide lens. By light, I mean a body without the battery grip would just make this bag an ideal companion. This is my first Crumpler bag and the smallest addition to the family of bags compared to the Lowepro Nova 5, Lowepro Mini Trekker and about 1/4 the capacity of the Lowepro Rolling CompuTrekker Plus AW.

In a world of wacky names, I give Crumpler full credit for their creativity. It's not everyday you own a bag that makes you wanna swear! Pictured here is The Five Million Dollar Home by Crumpler and I've attached a Lowepro 1W pouch off it to accommodate another short lens to bring on the road.

So last week I took my camera along to The Mall Gadong because my wife wanted to shop with her sister, I checked out AV Electronics for the first time, loved the BOSE Around-ear Headsets very much and they had a good selection of Crumpler bags too (AV does not stock the Canon EOS Crumpler). Neither the Macs nor the Crumpler bags appealed to me as much as the headphones—think I know what’s on my shopping list next (my birthday is long over so I cannot pull that birthday-coming-up routine!) So with a little RED inspiration, I took this picture outside of the Bose store.

Crumpler introduces the "Velcro Silencer" which essentially covers the velcro so you're not the centre of attention in a quiet venue

You can also place a mounted body face down in the center and still have room for flash and another short lens.

My very first Canon EOS Crumpler item which I picked up in Singapore at Canon showroom, VivoCity.
I’ve always been content with the brand of camera and lenses I own [which are all Canon]. And

I’ve always been content with the brand of camera and lenses I own [which are all Canon]. And I’ve always been content with my Rebel XT with 8 mega-pixels – I’ve never felt compelled to look at another dSLR because my camera packs enough punch for me. And as tempting as owning different types of lenses can be, I tell myself to look at the price tag before I play with any (and remind myself how frustrated I was with the 50mm at first). That usually does the trick of not looking at the lenses any more. But the one thing I can’t stop looking at are the accessories; more specifically, camera bags. I’m such a girl.

I have three camera bags. One the hubs picked out when he got me my awesome present – but ladies, let’s be honest here, how many of you would let your husband pick out your handbag? Precisely. It serves it’s function but it’s uncomfortable and is too “camera baggish” for me. I can’t blame the hubs – he’s a guy and never really carries a bag. But I’m a gal and I carry one everyday and I like the idea of being able to squeeze my wallet in my camera bag so that I don’t have to worry about a purse too. The Pod-Mate and I have this discussion all of the time.

So when we were heading to Germany to visit eMohn and sheMohn (haha!), I got myself a Tamrac Adventure 6 backpack. I didn’t know where we’d be visiting so I wanted all of my camera stuffs with me and the backpack was comfortable to wear all day. And the top of it was perfect for my wallet, passport and sunglasses. It’s perfect. But then again it’s not.

Because it holds everything and gets rather heavy, the idea of taking it on short day trips (like the Zoo and the Fair) where I know I’ll need only my kit and 50mm and a few other [small] things, the backpack becomes cumbersome and a chore to carry. But I don’t like carrying the camera by itself; it needs some protection if I’m taking a break because I’d be the one to knock it into something or spill soda on it.

My pal, Mrs. Rev, was kind enough to let me borrow her camera bag for my day at the Fair. I’d been pricing out this brand and tried to view them at our local camera shop, but no one carried the one I wanted. So I got to try it on for size for the day. And after two hours of wearing it, I realized I wanted one super bad. The next day, I took a hammer to my piggy bank to gather up my allowance and purchased myself a new camera bag. A Crumpler 4 Million Dollar Home, to be exact.

My bag is a little different from Mrs. Rev’s but it’s the perfect size. It holds my camera with either the kit or 50mm attached and the other lens. And there’s a velcro-ed pocket in the front to slip in my wallet stuffs. And there’s a nice little netted top that I can slip more stuff into like my eye drops, chapstick, floss and my Tide To Go stain stick – never leave home without it!

My favorite thing about the Crumpler bag is that it doesn’t look like a camera bag. It looks like a little messenger bag which is quite useful because as Mrs. Rev says “…it’s about the size of a purse and doesn’t scream come steal my expensive ass camera!… you know.” Yeah, I know. And I really like it.

Which has made me decide that camera bags are like purses. When I tote the kahuna, I don’t carry a purse. And when I carry a purse, I don’t tote the kahuna. Usually. Unless I’m going to work and only need the camera for an hour during my walk. Yeah. Even so, why not have a few bags to choose from? The Crumpler will likely be my “go to” bag. I’ll definitely still use the backpack for trips when I don’t know what all I’ll need until I’m there (plan to do so this weekend, actually). And my little black retangular camera bag the hubs picked out houses my extra camera stuffs like cleaners and those padded velcro-thingys that fit inside the bags. See, they’re all being used. Which says a lot more than the purses I own.

Side note: For those of you who also enjoy accessories like me and are looking for a comfortable yet stylish neckstrap, check out Trendy Camera Straps – they all have neoprene padding at the back of the neck which makes wearing your camera much more comfortable. I have the tan scroll – it’s very cute and very comfy.

I just love putting shit in bags, I don’t know why, I just do. The bag is the perfect companio

I just love putting shit in bags, I don’t know why, I just do. The bag is the perfect companion for the boy with no friends. Buy a bag big enough and you can even pretend IT is your friend, or dress it up, or sleep with it. As a tribute to the humble bag/pack/sack/tote/holder-of-goods, I did in fact sleep with all of my bags, at separate times of course (so as not to make anyone jealous…) and then persuaded each of them to pose for me. Nekkid.

The Billabong MobileCase:
Awesome, sturdy little case for holding a small mobile, but completely useless for mostly everything else.
4/10

Cygnett Headphone Case:
Great for holding good headphones securely. Also great for a small mobile laptop kit (mouse, USB, cables etc). Loses points for not being able to actually protect my now broken headphones.
4/10

Shimano GlassCase:
Awesome padding on the inside, great look on the outside. Completely pointless unless you live somewhere your glasses are at risk of getting crushed when not on your head. Like a demolition pit.
2/10

Eastpak Mini:
Italian bought, Taiwanese Made. Horrendously expensive, ridiculously sturdy, crashed with many times, not a scratch on it, or anyting inside it. Too small for an iPhone, great size for a wallet. Sits perfectly on the hip when riding.
5/10

Crumpler Bundle Medium:
Now we’re talking! Holds an iPhone, Point & Shoot camera, wallet, and shrapnel in the front section with awesome padding. Built to crash with, super secure. Bounces around a bit on your hip, not convinced by the locking of the velcro, needs a carabiner.
7/10

Caribee DayPack:
Great compact bag for anything a4, struggles a bit when fully loaded. All the stitching is great and the padding is muchos comfy amigos. Kinda wishing for a stronger base and more waterproofness.
7/10

Crumpler “The School Hymn” (15″):
Made of the coating they use on indoor basketballs and built like a tank. Crashing with a laptop is never fun, but this thing (heres hoping) would take a fair bit of bump n scrump to beat-up. Only built for mac sizes and has a little bit more room in the sides than I would’ve hoped for.
7/10

Crumpler “The Complete Seed”:
This bag was actually the best thing since sliced bread when I got it…and to be honest, it still is. I can’t seem to break the thing no matter how many hits it takes. Smells like dogs balls and doesn’t really hold as much as it should. Secondary dogleg strap is a pain in the armpit and it stains really easily. It’s love.
9/10

Crumpler “The Famous Wine Bar”:
*sigh*. This thing is amazing. I could fit a baby panda in its main compartment and still have room for the devoured mama panda in the side pockets. Seriously though I’m going to find a very small person and see if I get them inside it… Nothing wrong with this bag at all, but i’m saving up for a reeeeeally big one.
11/11

It goes to eleven!!!!!

Buying the right bag, the perfect bag… ask any fashionable lady… is an art in itself. Fi

Buying the right bag, the perfect bag… ask any fashionable lady… is an art in itself.

Finding a bag that looks good, carries everything you need and yet is not too big, too heavy, too expensive or too over the top – that has been my mission for the past few weeks. With an overseas wedding on the horizon and a whole heap of ‘off camera flash’ ideas swirling around in my head, the need exists to take along quite allot of photographic equipment. All that equipment is sensitive stuff, so it has to be protected. It also can’t all go into the cargo hold of the plane because if my bag gets lost then I’m without equipment to shoot the wedding. So half the equipment goes into the hold, and the other half has to go with me, as hand luggage.

This leaves me with the dilemma of finding the perfect bag – if there is such a thing!

I’ve trawled the internet looking for product videos and bag reviews and gossip regarding the right choice of bag for my journey. After a few days of surfing, a few models started to float to the top of the bag pond. The Tamrac Pro 12/13was a good choice but is slightly bigger than British Airways hand luggage measurement restrictions, currently set at 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (22ins x 18ins x 10ins).

Then there are the Crumplers, but none of them seemed to be the right shape, size or price. I’m sure there are many photographers who would disagree and love their Crumplers, but it just isn’t my bag (pun).

Another option came in the form of a US bag called the Domke. Designed by a working photographer, Jim Domke, they were the closest thing to what I wanted. Only problem was, I needed the bag within a few days of ordering and didn’t think it would arrive in time if I bought it from the States. Any local retailer would have added quite a bit onto the price for the trouble of getting it into the UK.

The National Geographic Earth Explorer Large Shoulder Bag caught my eye and I searched the net for a review on the large model.

Well, I couldn’t find much… there seemed to be a few reviews on the medium sized model and all the reviews said that it just wasn’t big enough. At first I thought that the reported lack of space might be because of the design of the bag, but seeing as though there was no other ‘perfect’ bag on the market (within my budget) I decided to take the chance and get the
NG2477 Large Shoulder Bag.

It is an excellent bag, big enough for my 17″ laptop, 70-200mm lens, two DSLR camera bodies, two flashguns, three more smaller lenses and a host of cables, cleaning equipment, memory cards, papers, documents, passports, etc. It also doesn’t look like a standard camera bag which is a good thing when travelling to countries where pick pocketing and bag theft pose a risk.

The bags even have solid brass clasps, not brass plated nickel junk. It is made from an environmentally friendly hemp/cotton mixture which is water resistant and honestly these bags are as tough as the National Geographic staff photographers that use them.

A great piece of kit which gets a thumbs up from me!
