Membuat Efek Serpihan Tubuh

vancolleys on November 20 2008 00:18:34

Cukup Mudah Khan….???

Semoga berhasil…………..

Fly Away Story Tutorial

vancolleys on March 15 2009 19:59:05

3D text in photoshop. Awalnya gw pesimis liat design2 3D text yg dibikin hasil kombinasi AI ,xara 3D

3D text in photoshop.

Selanjutnya duplicate layer. Click layer pertama lalu invert Ctrl + i. kemudian tekan alt + right arrow 18X sehingga membuat 18 layer HITAM dan membentuk bayangan hitam yg muncul dari belakang layer PUTIH.
Seperti contoh gbr dibawah :

4.Merge down ke 18 layer hitam menjadi satu. Click layer PUTIH.

5.kemudian kasih sedikit bevel and emboss
Untuk Structure : Style : inner bevel, Technique : smooth, Depth : 501%, Size : 0, Soften 3px.
Untuk Shading : Highlight mode : Screen dengan opacity 72%. Shadow mode :Multiply dengan opacity 1%.

7.selanjutnya click layer HITAM atur gradient overlay. Blend Mode : Normal, Opacity : 100%, Style : Linear, Angle : 90 dan Scale : 100 %

Ok sekarang anda punya satu huruf 3D.

sekarang kita bikin cantik 3D text yg kita buat dengan menambahkan effect bayangan. Caranya merge down layer HITAM dan PUTIH. Duplicate layer yg telah digabungkan Lalu Ctrl + T pada layer pertama pilih >> Rotate 180 kemudian >> Flip Horizontal tekan ENTER. Ctrl + T sekali lagi pilih >> Distort lalu atur seperti contoh gambar dibawah :

5. Aktifkan layer background (gambar api ) atur level nya, klik menu Image > Adjusment > levels, dan atur lah nilai level nya.

Selamat Mencoba

A “Ghosted”, “Phantom View”, “Transparent”, or “See Through” technical illustration is one that renders the exterior skin of an object transparent in order to see the interior workings.
A Ghosted illustration will be slightly more time consuming and expensive to create than a Cutaway Illustration. Ghosting an object requires completion of the entire outside AND inside of the subject before the fading or “ghosting” process takes place. The decision to ghost or cutaway a subject is a stylistic one. Although more internal information may be visible in a cutaway version, a ghosted illustration will favor the exterior of the subject which may contain important components, body features, logos, etc.

For the purposes of this demonstration, we are going to use the “ghosting”, “see through” or “phantom view” technique to create this illustration of an Acura NSX. All of the painted areas must be completely finished in individual layers before the ghosting takes place.

In this demonstration we are approaching the entire illustration process in much the same way as was done before computers. In the non-digital world, you would start with an inked line drawing on illustration board. Using Frisket or a similar masking material, you would paint or airbrush one section at a time. “Frisket” is a term for a transparent self-adhesive plastic film used to mask areas in airbrush illustrations. The film was put on top of a line drawing and an X-Acto knife was used to cut a windowed area to airbrush through.

The first step in the illustration process is to create the line art in Adobe Illustrator (below). This line art phase is done before any painting and color work takes place. Once you have completed the entire image in vector line art, you will export the layered file from Adobe Illustrator into Adobe Photoshop. You will now start the painting process. Make sure you retain the layers when exporting by choosing the .psd export format.

Note: For more information on line art and perspective drawing techniques, go to the: Lessons and Tutorials section of my “Technical Illustration Students” page.

This is the final layer pallet for each file format. The Illustrator layers pallet is on the left, and the converted Photoshop layers pallet is on the right. The Photoshop version has been simplified for this tutorial. There would normally be a separate line and tone layer for each element. You would always retain a line art layer for each and every element in order to make any necessary changes to their tonal values (see paragraph on “friskets” and “masks” above).

It order to use the following painting and erasing techniques successfully, you will need to use a good quality drawing tablet (Wacom Drawing Tablet or similar). Before we start the painting and ghosting process, it will help if the “Painting Cursor” is set to “Brush Size” in the “Display & Cursors” window of “Photoshop Preferences”. This will give you a round cursor that is roughly the diameter of the pixel dimensions for the selected brush size. Having this visual aid will help you to imagine how large of an area you will be affecting with each stroke.

The next step will be to paint each individual layer. You will use the line art layers as a type of “frisket” to mask the areas to be painted. For some basic painting techniques, refer to the “Basic Photoshop Painting Techniques” tutorial in the Lessons and Tutorials section of our “Technical Illustration Students” page.

The samples below are the main individual paint layers prior to any ghosting and blending work. The layer order is very important. Notice that the “Chassis” and “Car Background Tone” layers are underneath the “Yellow Body” layer in the layer pallet above. You will also notice that we are duplicating the sheet metal body color on the “Yellow Body” layer and the “Car Background” layer.

Once all of the individual layers are painted, you will begin the ghosting process. Although this phase of the illustration is reserved for the last 10 percent of the project, it is the most important aspect of the overall impression that the image will give to the viewer.

Select the “Body Frisket” line art layer. You will use this line art layer, in conjunction with the “Magic Wand” tool, to select an area to paint or erase. In the layers pallet you will change the opacity of this layer to 1%. This accomplishes two functions. 1. You will always know if you are working on the wrong layer because nothing will happen if you paint or erase on the 1% layer. 2. You will not be distracted by the dominance of the line art. Subtlety is the key to a quality ghosted illustration and you must be aware of the relationship between “exterior” and “interior” detail.

To create the ghosting effect, you will use the “Eraser” tool exclusively. While still in the options toolbar, set the “Opacity” to a low percentage (25% or less). This will make any alterations very subtle. If you go too far, you can always undo your strokes or revert to a previously saved version.

In the “brushes” pallet select a brush size that covers a large area and use a brush with a soft edge. The soft edged brushes will give your stroke an “airbrushed” effect.

One of the last steps will be to go to the remaining upper layers (Upholstery, Seats, Defroster Lines, etc.) and erase the appropriate amount of detail from each. Additionally, you will need to fine tune smaller areas such as the door “b” pillar sample below.

Color has great power when it comes to conveying emotion and attracting attention. This power is multiplied exponentially when color is used as an accent in an otherwise monochrome image. By using selective coloring, we can draw the viewer’s eye to the key areas of an image, with the colored areas adopting a jewel-like quality amid an expanse of gray.

The effect ranges from the subtle to the extreme. We can tint an image with just a hint of color, or apply an exciting splash of color to a specific area. Layer masks are an essential tool here, offering us the ability to restore color to the area of our choice, which can be controlled and restrained with the accuracy only a brush can provide.

STEP 1
The first step is to duplicate the background layer by dragging it to
the new layer icon in the Layers palette or hitting Ctrl/Cmd+J).

STEP 2
Since we want most of the image to be monochrome, on this duplicate layer go to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+U). To add to the effect, give this monochrome layer a subtle blue tint. Go to Image > Adjustment > Hue and Saturation. Check the Colorize box, and move the Hue slider to 221, and the Saturation slider to 12.

STEP 3
Now we’re going to add a layer mask to the monochrome layer, which we’ll use to manually restore color to parts of the image. Go to Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal All.

STEP 4
Check the Layers palette to be sure that the layer mask thumbnail is highlighted, which means that we’re working on the layer mask, not the layer itself. Set the foreground color to black and select the Brush tool. Click in the Brush Picker and select a hard round brush. Hit F5 to display the Brush Options and ensure that Shape Dynamics is unchecked.

TIP: Layer Mask Or Actual Image Layer?
It’s very important when working with layer masks to make sure that you’re painting on the mask and not on the associated image layer. There are three ways to check this:

Check for a bold outline around the thumbnail for the layer mask in the Layers palette.

Check for the mask symbol in the margin of the Layers palette (PC only). When you’re working on the image layer, a Brush symbol will appear, but when you’re painting on a mask, it will be replaced by a small rectangle with a circle at its center.

Since masks operate on a purely grayscale principle, when you’re working on a layer mask, your foreground/background color swatches will always be white, black, or gray.

STEP 5
Paint over all of the blue and red areas on the coat and hat with black. This will hide these areas of the monochrome layer, thus revealing the colors on the background layer underneath. We can adjust the size of the brush as we go with the square bracket keys on the keyboard. Zoom into the image with the Zoom tool (Z) to ensure accuracy.

STEP 6
Accuracy is all-important here, so take the time to follow the edges of the colored sections very carefully. If you accidentally paint over any other part of the image, simply swap your foreground/background colors and paint over it again with white instead of black. Remember, when working on layer masks, black conceals and white reveals. Continue to paint over all of the red and blue sections.

STEP 7
Only mask out the areas of this layer that cover the red and blue sections of the costume, leaving the white areas as they are.

STEP 8
As we paint, the black areas will appear on the associated layer mask.
We can check the mask by holding down the Alt/Opt key and clicking the layer mask thumbnail. This enables the actual mask to be seen in isolation.

STEP 9
We can control how vividly the colors show through the mask. Working on the mask itself, go to Image > Adjustments > Levels. By dragging the Black Point marker under the Output Levels bar to the right, the black tones within the layer mask are turned to gray. Where black on a layer mask is completely transparent, gray tones are only semi-transparent, which makes the revealed colors in the image layer more subtle. We can control just how subtle they are by adjusting the luminosity of the gray color on the layer mask.

To create water drops you can use PS’s very effective layer blending options. Pick the black color and with a sharp edged brush drop several simple circle shaped dots of different sizes on a layer.

Use the key combos “[" and "]” for changing the size of the brush dynamically. Select the Filter/Distort/Wave menu and use similar values for the filter as in the illustration below to distort the little black dots to make their shape more natural.

Now you need to set the layer mode from Normal to Screen and use several layer effects to create the reflections and drop shadows for a close to real water drop.

The best way to learn about the layer effects is if you download the example (567K) and study the layer effects.

Once you have the psd file, you can also just copy the layer style by CTRL-clicking the layer and selecting Copy Layer Style. In a similar way you can paste the layer style to your documents droplets layer.

If you have downloaded the psd file, just for fun start drawing on the drops layer with your brush, pretty cool isn’t it?

I purchased Aperture last year when I bought a new mac. It came pre-installed (they also shipped the install disk) and I was thrilled to start cooking up some RAW files. There was a serious learning curve but I seemed to pick-it-up. While working on a Red Bull photo shoot with world famous Musician/Photographer John Stephens he had mentioned Lightroom was the way to go. My office was ready to update some software so I put Lightoom on the list.

Immediately I was taken aback with familiar tools like COPY/PASTE (Aperture calls this LIFT/STAMP) and a simple, intuitive interface. Those already accustomed to Adobe products will absolutely find Lightroom easier to learn. The familiarity of the nomenclature is worth the extra $100.

Additionally, those of us who like to save our settings and apply them to a large group from the same shoot will love the ability to save presets in Lightroom. A feature not yet available in aperture.

Step 1 We’ll create this at 300dpi so set up a canvas that’s 750×750 pixels at 300dpi. It’s also bet

Step 1

We’ll create this at 300dpi so set up a canvas that’s 750×750 pixels at 300dpi. It’s also better to work in RGB as you get more control over the colour output and more options within Photoshop itself. With your canvas open, select the Pen Tool and set it to Shape Layers in the Options bar (Window > Options if it’s not visible). Use this tool to draw in your basic character shape, at this stage don’t worry about colour.

Step 2

Once you’ve drawn a basic shape it’s time to add colour so select your Body Shape Layer and go to Layer > Layer Styles > Gradient Overlay. Set up a 2-colour gradient inputting 4c7812 and aed82c in the field marked ‘#’ in the Color Picker window. Your gradient should look similar to the screen grabs.

Step 3

Select the Ellipse Tool and make sure it’s set to Shape Layers (Use the Options bar to do this). Select White as your foreground colour and draw an ellipse as your eyeball. Draw a smaller black circle for a pupil (hold the SHIFT key whilst you draw – this will constrain a perfect aspect ratio). Then use the Pen Tool to draw a small white triangle over the pupil. If you need to change the colour of any of your shape layers then simply double-click the corresponding colour icon on the Layers palette. Finally, select the EYEBALL layer and go to Layer > Layer Styles > Inner Shadow and set up as in the screen grab.

Step 4

Select all of your eye layers in the Layers Palette and click the Folder icon at the bottom of the palette to group them. Name the Group LEFT_EYE. Then select the Move Tool from the Tools palette, hold down the ALT key and drag the group across the canvas to create a duplicate. Name the duplicate group RIGHT_EYE. The eyes don’t quite fit the perspective of the body so with the RIGHT_EYE group selected go to Edit > Free Transform and resize and rotate to 94.5% size and 6.0 degrees.

Step 5

The mouth is easy enough. Select the Pen Tool and set it to Shape Layers. Click one point and then hold the SHIFT key and draw a point to the right of the first one. Holding SHIFT will force the point to be drawn within increments of 45degrees from the last point drawn. In this case we want a horizontal line. Then pick somewhere between the two points but lower down and click and drag to create a curve. Then click the original point (the open end) to close the path. You can edit any of these points by using the Direct Selection Tool (the white arrow not the black) and dragging the points or their handles. You can also resize by using the Free Transform Tool. Draw in two teeth over the mouth.

Step 6

Select the Paintbrush Tool and edit the options to create a 16 Pixel brush with 100% Hardness. Set the foreground colour to 213600. Select the Pen Tool and set it to Paths. Create two new layers (Layer > New Layer) and call one LEFT_ARM and one RIGHT_ARM. Make sure that LEFT_ARM is positioned above BODY in the Layers palette. RIGHT_ARM should be below BODY. Draw a left arm with the Pen Tool, select LEFT_ARM layer and open the Paths palette. Click the little arrow at the top right of the palette to bring down the drop down menu. Select Stroke Path. Repeat the process for the RIGHT_ARM layer.

Step 7

Repeat the process to draw in some legs. Bear in mind that the legs should be thicker so I opted for a 26 pixel brush to Stroke Path with. Booger Man should be taking shape by now.

Step 8

The hands are a little trickier. Select the Pen Tool and set it to Shape Layers. Draw a curve point (click and drag downwards until the handles appear) at the base of the wrist. Then draw another curve point opposite, dragging the handles roughly the same distance. Draw a curve point where the thumb would meet the fingers of a clenched fist. Then press and hold the ALT key, click the point again and drag a new handle as shown in the screen grab. Holding ALT and clicking a point splits it’s handles so you can move them independently of each other. You’ll need to use this technique again at the base of the thumb. Use the Direct selection Tool to manipulate the points, their handles and generally clean it up. Duplicate the hand and call the duplicate RIGHT_HAND. Use Free Transform to rotate and resize until they are in perspective.

Step 9

Use the Pen Tool to draw in a shoe. Set Black as your foreground colour and draw as in the screen grab. Use the Direct Selection Tool to clean up and perfect your shoe. Once done, duplicate, rename, rotate and resize so it fits your perspective.

Step 10

Lets add another layer of depth by adding more shading to the body. Select BODY layer and go to Layer > Layer Styles > Inner Shadow. Firstly, deselect Use Global Light and then set up as in the screen grab. I used colour #527e14 for the shadow. I had to move the left arm a bit to accommodate the new shadow.

Step 11

Add as much depth as you like. I’ve drawn in some shine on the shoes and a Tongue using the Pen Tool. I’ve also drawn in some spots using the Ellipse tool before resizing and rotating them with the Free Transform tool. Once your character is complete you can move all the elements around to fine tune your character. You can also resize and rotate things until you are happy.

Step 1

For this project, I used two nice images that suits for the manipulation; image1, image2. I would like to thank the author of this two great pictures, which is thiquinho and huibidos from sxc.hu. And before we continue with the steps, I need to inform you that this tutorial is written using Photoshop CS3.

Step 2

Let’s start with image1, open and duplicate this image by using the Image > Duplicate command from the menu bar. In the Duplicate Image dialog box, you can name it anything you like, but to follow this tutorial reference, name it “PassionFire” and hit OK. By doing this, we kept the original image. Be sure to save.

Step 3

With the “PassionFire” image active, duplicate the “background” layer. Set the foreground and background color to black and white by pressing D on the keyboard. Click the “background” layer again and fill it with the foreground color ~ which is set to black. See the images below.

Step 4

Reactivate “Layer 1,” then press Command + Shift + U to apply desaturate command. Now invert the color by pressing Command + I. Your image should look like a film’s negative now.

Step 5

Duplicate “Layer 1,” then apply the find edges filter from Filter > Stylized > Find Edges. Next, invert the color by pressing Command + I and change the Blending Mode to Hard light. There, your image now has contrast white line and a very dark background.

Step 6

To give the white line more contrast, duplicate the “Layer 1″ copy then change the Blending Mode to Screen.

Step 7

Now we move to the second image. Drag image2 into “PassionFire” document image window using the Move tool. If the Paste profile mismatch dialog appears, just click OK to fix it.

Step 8

The fire image from “image2″ should be in “Layer 2″ now. Change its Blending Mode to screen, this will hide all the black colors in “Layer 2.” If done right, your image should be similar to the one below.

Step 9

Duplicate “Layer 2″ by pressing Command + J. Make sure you use the Screen Blending mode, same as the original “Layer 2.” Next, make “Layer 2″ become invisible by hiding it from the layers panel.

Step 10

Click the “Layer 2 copy” to make it active, then use the Free Transform command ( Edit > Free Transform) to rotate and resize the fire image like shown below. Don’t forget to press Enter when you’re done transforming.

Step 11

Still in the same layer, now use the warp command (Edit > Transform > Warp) to bend the fire image – so it following the hair flow. Press Enter when done. See the example below as a reference.

Step 12

If you feel the result is not quite good enough, simply use the Liquify filter to fix it. I assume you already know how to use the liquify filter; the Forward Warp tool and Twirl Clockwise tool is the only tool I used to get this result (see image below).

Step 13

Duplicate the “Layer 2″ copy, then use the Free Transform command to resize and rotate the fire image in the current layer. Don’t forget to reposition the fire image too. Once you get this composition (see image below), hit Enter.

Step 14

Repeat the previous process to get the hair covered with fire. Just duplicate and modify the layer until you get all the hair part covered. If needed, use the Liquify Filter again. The end result of this process should look like the image below, notice how many layers are used.

Step 15

Okay, now activate “Layer 2″ and make it visible again. Then Change the Blending Mode to Vivid Light. This step will colorize only the white line in the layer below it.

Step 16

Still in “Layer 2,” apply the Free Transform command to resize and rotate the fire image like shown below. The purpose is to cover up the girl’s body and hair with the fire texture. Press Enter when you’re done transforming.

Step 17

We’re gonna blur the fire image in “Layer 2,” To do so, apply the Gaussian Blur filter from the Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur menu. Fill the Radius around 10 to 15 pixels, then click OK when done. Blurring the fire image will cause its texture to blend smoother with the layer below it.

Step 18

Now add a layer mask to “Layer 2.” Then use a soft round Brush tool with Opacity at 100%. Set the brush size according to your need, then just mask until the fire outside becoming hidden. See the process below.

Step 19

Sure we will remove the white line shown in the image (marked in red rectangle below). First, add a new blank layer below “Layer 2.” Then simply paint it with black using the soft round brush tool.

Step 20

Now go to the top most layer (mine is: “Layer 2 copy 6″), add two adjustment layers which is Hue/Saturation and Brightness/Contrast. Careful not to change the layer adjustment order, or the color effect will be wrong. Below you can see the setting I used to complete this step, also pay attention to the adjustment layer order.

By adding a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, we unify all colors. The Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer brings more color contrast and makes sure the image color’s looks like real fire.

Step 21

I’m sure you notice the fire sparks effect. I create it using the Brush tool with this simple setting. No special brush needed, but if you have one that will be useful then feel free to use it. Below you can see all the settings I used within the Brush palette, of course you can change the setting as you like. Just make sure the brush spatter enough and vary the size.

Step 22

Now to use the modified brush, create a new blank layer below the adjustment layers ( mine is named “Layer 4″). Choose 50% gray from the swatches palette, then you can start creating the fire sparks. Remember not to be monotone, resize the brush size if needed. I start using a big sized brush, then reduce it to smaller size (you can change brush size faster by pressing the bracket keys on the keyboard ).

If you’re not sure how to do this steps, just imagine where and how the fire sparks will flow if it was real fire. For me, imagining stuff is very helpful.

Step 23

To make it more interesting, create a new layer and change the Blending Mode to Screen. Then use a normal soft round brush (not the one we modified earlier), with an Opacity of 50%. Just click in the part of body, neck, and hair. I’m not sure how to explain this, but you can see the difference between the above and below images.

Conclusion

And that’s all of it! Hope you learned something new and had fun. You can view the final image below or view a larger version here.

I love Photoshop techniques that offer all kinds of possibilities for experimentation—and the following tutorial is a perfect example of one of those techniques. In this issue, we’re going to take a portrait and replace the person’s image with text (think 2009 Grammy posters).

1 CHOOSE YOUR PHOTO

Pick a portrait that offers good contrast—a photo that’s very dramatic and dark probably won’t work as well. I’ve had the best success with straight-on head and shoulder shots, but again, feel free to experiment with all types of photos. For the best results, choose a photo that has a light background (or select the background around the person and make it lighter).

2 CREATE VARIOUS TEXT BRUSHES

Create a new document (File>New) in a size that’s smaller than your photo: the specifics don’t really matter. Press D to set the Foreground color to black. Use the Type tool (T) to type several different words in various fonts and sizes (in this case we used a person’s name). One at a time, draw a selection around each word with the Rectangular Marquee tool (M), and from the Edit menu, choose Define Brush Preset. Name each brush in the Brush Name dialog and click OK.

3 SELECT THE SHADOWS AND MAKE A LAYER

Switch back to the photograph. From the Select menu, choose Color Range. From the Select drop-down menu in the Color Range dialog, choose Shadows and click OK. (In our example, nothing in the background was selected. If parts of the background are selected in your photo, see the next step for removing those selected areas.)

Then, press Command-J (PC: Ctrl-J) to copy the selected pixels onto a new layer. Press Command-J (PC: Ctrl-J) to copy the selected pixels onto a new layer. Click back on the Background layer in the Layers panel.

4 SELECT THE MIDTONES AND MAKE A LAYER

Go back to the Select menu and choose Color Range again. From the Select drop-down menu in the Color Range dialog, choose Midtones and click OK. If (as in this example) some of the background is selected, use the Lasso tool (L) with the Option key (PC: Alt key) held down to circle the areas you don’t want selected. Then, press Command-J (PC: Ctrl-J) to copy the selected pixels onto a new layer.

5 FILL THE LAYERS WITH BLACK AND GRAY

Click the Eye icon next to the Background layer in the Layers panel to hide that layer from view. Click on the midtones layer and from the Edit menu choose Fill. Use 50% Gray, check the Preserve Transparency box, and click OK. Then, activate the shadow layer and use the Fill command again, except this time use Black with Preserve Transparency checked. You should have a very basic portrait made from black and 50% gray.

6 FINE-TUNE THE RESULTS AND MERGE DOWN
If necessary, show the original Background (click where the Eye icon used to be) and use the Brush tool (B) to paint with black on the shadow layer, gray on the midtones layer, or use the Eraser tool (E) to completely remove areas. (Note: For gray, click on the Foreground color swatch, enter R:128, G:128, and B:128 in the Color Picker, and click OK.) In this example, we added a little more definition to the ears by painting with gray on the midtones layer. Once you’re satisfied, click on the top layer (the shadow layer) and press Command-E (PC: Ctrl-E) to merge it with the midtones layer.

7 ADJUST BRUSH SETTINGS AND PAINT SOME TEXT

Click the Create a New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. Press D to set your default colors. Press Command-Delete (PC: Ctrl-Backspace) to fill the new layer with white. Choose one of your custom brushes from the Brush Picker in the Options Bar, and in the Brushes panel (Window>Brushes), click on the words “Brush Tip Shape.” Adjust the Spacing so there’s space between each word. Under Shape Dynamics, vary the size and rotation of the brush. As you paint on the white layer, experiment with the Shape Dynamics. Repeat with your other custom brushes. For now, just get some “text paint” on the layer—we’ll continue painting in a moment.

8 COPY THE PORTRAIT
Create a new layer and drag it above the black-and-gray portrait layer. Press Command-Delete (PC: Ctrl-Backspace) to fill it with white. This will provide a white background behind our image. Hide all the layers except the black-and-gray portrait layer, and then click on that layer to make it active. Press Command-A (PC: Ctrl-A) to Select All and then Command-C (PC: Ctrl-C) to Copy.

9 PASTE INTO A LAYER MASK
Show all layers and activate the layer with the painted words. Click on the Add Layer Mask icon at the bottom of the Layers panel to add a layer mask. Hold down Option (PC: Alt) and click on the layer mask thumbnail (this will hide the painted text and show just the mask). Press Command-V (PC: Ctrl-V) to paste the copied pixels onto the mask. Press Command-D (PC: Ctrl-D) to Deselect. Press Command-I (PC: Ctrl-I) to Invert the mask (your mask should look like a negative of the black-and-gray pixel image that you pasted).

10 CONTINUE PAINTING, VARYING BRUSHES
Activate the painted text layer (not the mask) by clicking on the layer thumbnail, and continue painting using the different custom brushes you created. You can also continue to experiment with the brush settings for Size, Spacing, and Shape Dynamics. (Although you don’t need a pressure sensitive pen for this technique, it sure helps!)

11 ADD A LAYER WITH RANDOM TEXT
The painted text will only appear inside the white and gray areas of the mask. To add a bit more randomness to the portrait, add a new layer above the painted text layer. Then use the same text brushes to add a few words here and there outside the boundaries of the mask.

12 PAINT ON THE MASK IF NECESSARY
If there are areas where you’d like text to appear in the portrait—or there’s text showing where you don’t want it to show—click on the layer mask and paint with a round, soft-edged brush: use black to hide the text, white to show the text, and shades of gray to make the text somewhat visible.

13 VARIATION: ADD A GRAIDENT OVERLAY
Here’s a simple variation: Add a Gradient Overlay layer style to the painted words layer. Just click on the Add a Layer Style icon (fx) at the bottom of the Layers panel and select Gradient Overlay. In this case we clicked on the Gradient thumbnail, and selected the Blue, Red, Yellow gradient in the Gradient Editor. Click OK to close the Gradient Editor, then select Screen for the Blend Mode and click OK. Hold down Option (PC: Alt) and drag the word “Effects” in the Layers panel on top of the “extra words” layer to copy the same layer style to that layer.

14 VARIATION: USE TEXT BLOCKS WITH THE MASK
Use the Type tool to click-and-drag a text box around the entire image. Get a large amount of random text (we used www.blindtextgenerator.com) and paste the text into the text block. Hold down Option (PC: Alt) and drag the layer mask from the painted text layer onto this new type layer to copy the mask. Then, either hide the painted text layer, or use both the painted layer and the new type layer—the possibilities are endless!

Me again! So today I’m feeling quite frustrated and left out, everyone keeps going out to secr

Me again!

So today I’m feeling quite frustrated and left out, everyone keeps going out to secret partys and noone tells me

I thought maybe just maybe seeing as I finished my folio boards and it’s Halloween and all there might just be a party for me to go to but no everyones too secretive and exclusive for that . Oh the joys of life as a teen in Napier city.. *narrows eyes* don’t stalk me else il kick yo asss! Hahaha D-;<

But on the brightside I finished my folio boards all four of them!
Two art painting and two photography. The sizing of the finals I printed was shit cos I was in such a hurry.
I had to take the whole morning off school to finish my painting (which dried in time btw yay) and photography but it was crazy I still had things to Photoshop when I really needed to start printing!

My artist models were Keith Carter and Barbara Kruger, who is commonly used as an artist model at school lol. Probly cos you can just slap some words on it and say you've used an artist model :p.

I liked using Keith Carter as an artist model cos I just duplicated layer, guissan blurred it, then add layer mask, fill that with black, switch paintbrush to white, turn down opacity and hardness a bit, then paint the parts you want blurred and wallah your photo is Keith Carter-ized betch! :p.

Oh and plus if ya want do the same process again but using desaturate

So like, on a totally different note, I discovered yesterday that if you google image that_weird_child you get a whole lot of photos of me they're from my bebo I think hehe
Also if you search "Self seduction" on google images you get the photo of me from my Flickr where I'm two people in a seductive stance, haha il post the photo with this.
If you search "crouching tiger hidden dragon caucasian" I'm like the second picture the weird little white chick in a dress crawling towards the camera. Yup that's me :p

This is like my diary now

Hola.. – I mean,

How to create the correct size or type of file for your documents. Well today I’ll show you how to create the correct type of document. You might want a wallpaper in HD which the pixel are 1280 by 720, 1200 by 1024, 1600 by 1200, 1940 by 1400. For icons the size is 320 – 480 or lower then 400. For icons you should use gradients like MACs use and some PC icons have. ***By the way you must recreate your file into ICNS for icons.*** Also for Mac there are many apps to take pictures and make them into icons.
