Nella serata che precede il Giorno del Ringraziamento in USA, bassi ascolti per tutti i network; particolarmente negativa la serata ABC. Stabile sostanzialmente il 100° episodio di Criminal Minds che vince la serata mentre il ritorno di Eastwick ottiene un pessimo risultato.

We’ve made it back again to “Hump-Day” (mind out of the gutter please…) and another stellar TV line up attempts to make waking up this morning…better! Can it top last night’s Osmond win, SYTYCD performance show or Allen voted off Biggest Loser (to be followed closely by an appearance on Leno) ?

Let’s take a look at what I’m watching tonight:

Biggest Loser: Where are they now? - Can you imagine the stress of a) competing on the Biggest Loser b) living through months of personal workout sessions (the 9th ring of hell) with Jillian, and c) completly exposing your biggest weaknesses (inner demons, darkest secrets and “daddy issues”) on national TV…all to NEVER be safe from a “drop in” or check up (wonder if that was in the fine print of their contract…)? That makes for GREAT TV…and it’s all happening tonight!!! Beware former competitors, y’all better not have any ice cream in the freezer or pizza take-out on your speed dial…Because your favourite trainers (devil’s henchmen) will be susprising you with a visit and revealing your ability to “stay on track” and “keep it off”…for millions to watch (judge). Tune in for a full 2 hours of entertaining success stories, and the occassional falling -off- the -wagon interventions, tonight at 8pm on NBC.

SYTYCD Results- A great show last night, but 12 becomes 10 tonight! My favourites from last night were: Ballroom Ryan and Ellenore, Wife of Ballroom Ryan (Ashleigh) and Billy Elliott, and Russel (minus his partner, she was pretty, but I cant remember her…) Legace and Noelle had a solid first dance, but came up slightly short on the ballroom…but Legace did not wear a shirt and he showed his soft side (swoon) by crying– smart, very smart.

Predictions: I predict the bottom couples will be JLO and Victor, Mollee and Nathan and Russel and…his partner. In the end, I think the judges will then choose to send home JLO and Victor. Both have been in the bottom before, and both have faded into the background after starting very strong…judges are ALL about “growth”…that is what I foresee for the evening, but I will NOT be betting any useful body part or member of the family on that. Results tonight on FOX/CTV 8pm

Leafs vs Tampa Bay- what happened to Tampa Bay? They used to be such an exciting team (much like Chicago this year), with young, fast, Canadian boys like Lacavalier , St Louis, Stamkos, Tanguay and Downie…they should be dominating every game (isnt that the kind of game the “new” NHL predicted would succeed?) But lately they have not lived up to their talent…sound familiar? The Leafs are in town tonight, and after a big confidence boosting win at home against Washington, followed by a kick in the pants loss to the Islanders…what team can we expect to show up tonight? If the team continues to shoot from anywhere and rack up an insane shot total…eventually one or two will go in…and there is no Roloson on this team to steal a game. Tune in for another bottom-dweller duel tonight, TSN 7pm.

Other shows to try:

Dragons Den on CBC -Seriously, this is a very entertaining and intelligent show…A Canadian production, which has recently been copied in the States under the moniker “Shark Pit” (produced by the KING of Reality TV, Mark Burnett…)…but we do it better! So tune into CBC for it’s Gemini Award winning reality show where wanna-be inventors and entrepreneurs vie for money and a chance infront of 5 rich business minds. CBC 8pm

CSI NY- If you arent a fan of Horatio…This is a good option for you! CSI is the best in Police Procedral, so don’t let an eccentric red-head throw you off the wagon…The NYC version of the 3 city franchise is grittier, and has a better accent than it’s Vegas and Miami counterparts. Tune in tonight, CBS/CTV 10pm

A CBS dominou a noite com ‘Old Christine’ e ‘Gary Unmarried’ atingindo suas maiores audiências na temporada. A primeira fechou a noite com 7.3 milhões de telespectadores e 2.2 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49. Já ‘Gary’ fez 2.5 pontos na demo e atingiu 7 milhões de telespectadores. ‘Criminal Minds’ teve alta de 9%: 13.7 milhões e 3.7 pontos, enquanto ‘CSI: NY’ fechou a noite da emissora caindo 16% em relação ao crossover das franquias na semana passada: 13.6 milhões e 3.2 pontos.

A Fox ficou em segundo lugar com a exibição de ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (5.7 milhões e 2.1 pontos), enquanto ‘Glee’ se manteve estável: 7.4 milhões e 3.3 pontos.

A ABC ficou um pouco atrás com seu bloco de comédias: abriu a noite reprisando ‘Modern Family’ (6.1 milhões e 1.9 ponto) no lugar da cancelada ‘Hank’, e exibindo inéditos de: ‘The Middle’ (7.1 milhões e 1.9 ponto – que cresceu 26% com o lead in de ‘Modern’), ‘Modern Family’ (9.2 milhões e 3.7 pontos) e ‘Cougar Town’ (7.9 milhões e 3.2 pontos). As duas séries tiveram crescimento: 6% e 14%, respectivamente. A emissora fechou a noite com o especial ‘In The Spotlight With Janet Jackson’ (6.6 milhões e 2.3 pontos).

A NBC ficou em quarto com ‘Mercy’ crescendo 18%: 7.8 milhões e 2.0 pontos na demo qualificada. Pela quarta vez nesta temporada, a série venceu em seu horário no número de telespectadores. A emissora também exibiu ‘Law & Order: SVU’ (8.4 milhões e 2.6 pontos) e ‘The Jay Leno Show’ (4.8 milhões e 1.4 ponto).

A CW fechou a noite em último lugar com a exibição de ‘America’s Next Top Model’, que teve sua melhor demo na temporada (1.8 ponto) e atingiu bons 3.7 milhões de telespectadores

CSI: NY - "Yahrzeit"

I have always been a fan of “CSI: NY”. I like the stories and of course there is Gary Sinise who plays Det. Mac Taylor — mercy!! Plus, I love the them song for the show: “Baba O’Riley” by The Who.

I try to catch the show when it comes on during the week, but sometimes I miss it. Luckly, they show re-runs on the weekend. This past Saturday, I watched probably one of the best CSI: NY episodes I have ever seen. It was an episode called “Yahrzeit” that aired in 2009. The guest actor in the episode was Ed Asner (got an Emmy nomination for his role).

A murder leads CSI to a group of white supremacists, the discovery of precious items stolen from Holocaust survivors, and perhaps the uncovering of a former Nazi guard.

Was was glued to my TV. Usually when I watch TV, I am on my laptop and watching TV at the same time. But not this time. But the disclaimer at the beginning of the show caught my attention. It mentioned that there would be images of the Holocaust.

By the end of the show, I was crying! I just sat there and was amazed on how good the show was. I even watched half the show again. ULTIME NOTIZIE

La 62esima edizione degli Emmy ad agosto su NBC
Gli Emmy Awards, l’equivalente degli Oscar per la televisione, verranno trasmessi dalla NBC. La cerimonia si terrà di nuovo ad agosto mentre in passato la messa in onda è sempre stata settembre e, precisamente, la domenica che precedeva l’inizio della stagione televisiva. L’evento viene mandato in onda a rotazione dai quattro network principali e l’ultima edizione della NBC, nel 2006, pur avendo avuto bassi ascolti rimane comunque quella con i migliori ratings degli ultimi quattro anni. La Academy of Television Arts & Sciences che produce la serata ha avuto diversi problemi organizzativi con l’ultima edizione che è stata più volte spostata di data. Questo, insieme al fatto che è l’ultimo anno che la lega per contratto ai quattro network – che non sono più entusiasti come prima – la sta spingendo ad organizzare le cose al meglio possibile. La cerimonia si terrà il 29 agosto 2010 e le nominations verranno rese note giorno 8 luglio.
Una nuova serie per Jason Lee
My Name si Earl è stata cancellata a giugno dopo quattro stagioni ma Jason Lee, che interpretava Earl nella serie, è già al lavoro su un nuovo progetto per TNT. Delta Blues, questo il titolo, vedrà Lee nei panni del protagonista, un poliziotto di Memphis che vive con sua madre e che di sera lavora come sosia di Elvis Presley. La serie è prodotta da George Clooney e ha nel team creativo Liz M. Garcia (Cold Case). Questo comunque non è l’unico impegno dell’attore che è alle prese anche con diversi progetti cinematografici tra cui il seguito del film Alvin Superstar.
Amaury Nolasco e il dopo-Prison Break
Amaury Nolasco, che molti ricordano per il personaggio di Sucre nella defunta serie Prison Break è decisamente molto impegnato. Dopo un’apparizione in CSI Miami e un arco di tre episodi in Southland, lo vedremo nella nuova The Quickening. La serie racconta le vicende di una detective della omicidi Maggie Bird, intrerpretata da Radha Mitchell, che viene messa dietro una scrivania dopo aver scoperto di soffrire di disturbi bipolari. Nolasco interpreterà il suo ex-marito che è rimasto sempre legato a lei. L’attore ha inoltre un film in uscita al cinema, Armored che vede la presenza nel cast, insieme a Jean Reno e Matt Dillon, diverse nostre conoscenze televisive: Laurence Fishburne (CSI), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) e Skeet Ulrich (Jericho).
Brooke Shields torna in televisione
La NBC probabilmente si sarà pentita della cancellazione di Lipstick Jungle, la serie basata sui libri di Candace Bushnell (cha aveva scritto anche Sex and the City). Gli ascolti erano tiepidi ma in linea con quelli di altre serie di quest’anno e in più aveva buoni ratings. Le attrici comunque non sono rimaste ferme: Lindsay Price ha recitato nello sfortunato Eastwick, Kim Raver si è unita al cast di Grey’s Anatomy e ora è il turno della più famosa di loro, Brooke Shields. L’attrice dopo essere tornata come guest star nella serie Hannah Montana, parteciperà a The Middle, la nuova sit-com ABC partita a settembre. Interpreterà una vicina della protagonista Frankie (Patricia Heaton) che con i suoi quattro figli terrorizza l’intero quartiere. L’episodio andrà in onda a gennaio.
ABC Family annuncia le date di inizio di alcune serie
ABC Family ha annunciato che le serie Make It or Break It e La vita segreta di una teenager americana torneranno con episodi inediti il prossimo 4 gennaio, quindi una settimana prima di quanto originariamente previsto. Make It or Break It avrà dieci episodi che sono la seconda parte della prima stagione (in onda ora da noi su FOX Italia) mentre La vita segreta di una teenager americana avrà dodici episodi che sono la seconda parte della seconda stagione. Greek invece ripartirà il 25 gennaio.
NBC prepara una gara di cucina
La NBC non attraversa un bel periodo. Alcune nuove serie sono state un flop, altre vecchie sono in affanno e anche il tanto atteso ritorno di Jay Leno non è stato il successo sperato. Da qui la decisione di diversificare la propria offerta con un nuovo programma che sulla carta sembra abbastanza ambizioso. Il network ha infatti ordinato United Plates of America, una gara di cucina che avrà uno dei più grossi premi mai messi in palio in un reality. Il programma viene dagli stessi produttori del famoso Top Chef, altro reality culinario, e avrà come premio finale addirittura una catena di ristoranti che aprirà in quattro città americane. Il primo di questi inaugurerà la stessa notte della proclamazione del vincitore.
Supernatural si ferma
Stasera in USA andrà in onda il decimo episodio della quinta stagione di Supernatural che è anche l’ultimo per questo 2009. La serie infatti si ferma per quasi due mesi e tornerà poi a gennaio. Sarà un episodio molto importante e significativo, come già si intuisce dal titolo “Abandon all hope…“, ed è stato annunciato che qualcuno del cast non sopravviverà. Di seguito il trailer.

Wednesday Night Wrap

Here’s a summary of this wednesday’s TV Night:

ANTM Finale- The two (short) models had a good ole fashion runway battle (never to outdo the classic Zoolander/Hans duel) to decide the winner of ANTM, season 13. They both had to dress as “elements” (Atta way Tyra, the best way to show off models is to make them walk INTO harsh winds and water with a veil over their faces…) and pose for their final photo for Covergirl.

The judges were impressed with both ladies (Country Barbie Laura and Social Misfit Nicole) but in the end….drum roll please…Nicole wins the title! (No need to congratulate me for calling this one…really, I’ll give myself a high five) She is instantly whisked away by Tyra (her new agent, BFF and co-model for the next year), giving her the Ultimate prize…A photo WITH Her (lets be honest, thats the only prize that really matters…)!

CSi:NY- The compass killer returns, and Flack (who totally stole the show last episode running in tight jeans after the perp!) is all of a sudden a fall-down drunk! An apparent suicide off the Brooklyn bridge turns into a not-so-simple case, and the discovery of ‘the compass’ brings the return of that creepy schizo werewolf guy from a few episodes back. The show with by far the best theme song on TV never disappoints…

Dragons Den on CBC (yes, I watch that channel) put on another great show of rich people analyzing potential business ideas…rannging from Childrens Arobics to Lobster Waste turned fertilizer…(only in the east coast would they find yet ANOTHER use for lobsters!)

Two brilliant guest stars on Modern Family: Elizabeth Banks as a that old college girl-friend every one has (the one who threw the wildest parties, drank the most shots and regretted everything the next day) and Edward Norton as a washed up 80’s ‘rock band’ member with a british accent and bangs.

Raptors lost again…Toronto is cursed.

That’s about it for this wednesday…nothing life-changing…but there’s always hope for thursday!

Wednesday TV Night

“Hump-day” (don’t be gross) means that we are halfway through another week of TV… but perhaps the best is yet to come!
Here’s what I’m watching tonight:

SYTYCD Results- One of the more entertaining “results” show on TV…Cat usually gets down to the results pretty early, and the rest of the “filler” is great performances by REAL dancers. Predictions? I wont bet my right arm on this, but I think those in trouble tonight are: JLO (Karen) and Kevin, the Bird dance couple (Victor and Channing), and the last spot is up for grabs (Are viewers as enamored with Ballroom Ryan, and Russel or as sick of adolescent Mollee as I am?) Results tonight at 8pm FOX/City

ANTM- It’s the finale of Tyra’s brainchild for the 13th time. Which (shorter version) model will grace the pages of Seventeen magazine (and come back as the “inspiration” next season)? The choices are Social-outcast Red-head (Nicole) or Country Barbie (Laura). Both have been strong throughout the season, it’s actually almost too close to call… but I guess I have to make a BOLD prediction. Again, not betting any part of my body on the outcome. I predict a Nicole win.

CSI: NY- The grittier of the three cities, what kind of severed appendage, GSW, strangulation or gang-hit will we encounter tonight? This light-hearted affair for the whole family airs on CTV at 10pm….gather the kiddies.

Other shows to consider: Dragons Den (an underrated Canadian gem, and newly minted Gemini Award winner…check it out if you havent already! CBC 8pm), GLEE (for you closet musical-fans…it’s the perfect guilty pleasure FOX 8pm), Modern Family (A new ABC comedy sitcom…that is actually funny…I kid you not. ABC 9pm)

'Star Wars - Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel' - Chapter 17 (Part 2)

Wednesday. The day after one of the greatest nights that I have ever had and I am exhausted. But I will say that it was all worth the time and I do not regret being tired today. I got up reluctantly this morning, but was excited once I got out to the dining room. The kids were all excited and asking questions about last night and we had fun talking about the event and eating breakfast togehter. One thing that was going to make my day go easier was the fact that I only had a half day with my students today, which will make it easier on me trying to get back into the swing of things. We finished breakfast and Heather was out the door on her way to work. I took a shower and joined the kids while we watched “The Early Show” on CBS and then I was off to work while they were off to school.

I got to work and I had a majority of my classes today. It was a rough start to the day, but I knew it would be with me being gone to a workshop for two days. I had to try and bring my classes back up to speed on what to expect of me and what to expect in my class. I had an okay day with my students, although I have one class that I know is going to be a trial and I haven’t even met the students yet. I really hate it when teachers come around and tell me that I need to watch out for a particular class because they just “look bad”. You know what? Let me make my own decisions about my class and let me figure out how to handle each of my classes on my own. I know it sounds selfish, but I’ve had classes that others thought would be awful and those classes end up being some of the coolest ones I’ve had. I made it through my half day. At noon, I stuck around and had lunch in my classroom and got things back up to speed in the room. It took a while but I was able to organize things and get them together. I had quite the day however, because one of our teachers cannot use her room to teach in, and I had to help her clear things out of her room and find storage for all her equipment. I was busy the entire day. I was so happy to be done with work and left at about three forty-five.

I got home and started to unwind a little bit. I talked to the kids a little and then went downstairs and played “Call of Duty 4″ for about an hour or so. I was excited because I finally got my Gold AK-47 and got a chance to use it a few times before dinner. I then stopped and went upstairs and joined the family for dinner. We ate and then I went downstairs and worked on a few things while I watched “The Office” and two episodes of “Two and a Half Men”. I then watched my usual Wednesday night shows including “Garry Unmarried”, “Glee”, and “CSI NY” and then went to bed.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 2 of Chapter 17 of “Star Wars – Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel” by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry……Chapter 17 (Part 2): He said he used to spend a lot of time at the Green Glowstone Tavern and Dewback Inn on Coruscant. Den told him that he has found a lot of good leads to stories in the Crimson Corridor on Coruscant and said that he’s surprised that his master, Lorn Pavan, got him into those bars since they don’t like droids, but I-Five explained that Pavan was not his master, but a friend. Den was surprised as I-Five continued to explain that he and Lorn were business associates as they exchanged info, sabaac numbers, and all sorts of things. Den then noted they were far from Coruscant and he tried to ask the droid why he was here, but the droid’s attention was overted. He watched some of the surgeons enter and among them was Zan. Den then he swore that the droid was nervous and was actually able to show it on his robot face. Den then asked I-Five why he would leave that life behind I-Five said they were being chased by an assassin. Den then said it was a Zabrack and noted that the droid’s eyes lit up and Den realized that it’s the eyes that telegraph the droids mood. I-Five asked him how he knew and Den said he noticed he was nervous when Zan, the Zabrack, entered the cantina. I-Five said their assassin was very skilled and was better than Phow Ji and that he even had skills beyond the Jedi…..

Well this was a less than stellar week for me. Which is unfortunate, because I’m pretty proud of the few things I did get around to doing. Remember that to-do list from a couple days ago? Yeah. Not too much progress on that front. Some, to be fair – I’ve done a lot of thinking about “Wheels,” at least. But I haven’t even gotten all my watching done with. Hopefully the large amount of extra sleep I got today will help me get back on my game.

La La Vasquez: Snob OR Slob ??

La La was spotted last week leaving the Network studio after she booked a co-star on CSI: NY. It was hilarious to read La La’s tweet bragging about her new gig. The funny part about La La is that she forgot to mention that she only gets paid $750 bucks as a co- star and $3500 for a guest star and I highly doubt that CSI:NY booked her as a guest star unless she has a good agent. Now let’s do a lil math! If she were to book the Guest Star role, La La still has to pay 10% of the agent fee to her agent so technically she either got paid $675 OR $3150.

Anyways, here she is looking like a bat outta hell without her plastic face that her BFF, Kimmie gave her for her birffday.

Audiência TV americana - 11/11

O CMA Awards, premiação anual da ABC, alavancou a audiência da emissora que venceu a noite. O evento atraiu cerca de 16.8 milhões de telespectadores e ótimos 5.2 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49. Para se ter uma noção de quão boa foi a audiência: foi 24% maior que os números do Emmy. Foi a maior audiência de um evento não relacionado a esportes nos últimos quatro anos.

Alguns shows sofreram com a audiência do CMA, mas ‘CSI: NY’ foi bem. Enquanto ‘CSI: Miami’ não decolou no crossover de segunda-feira, ‘NY’ cresceu 32%, fazendo 13.9 milhões e 3.7 pontos. Foi a maior audiência da série na temporada.

A CBS ficou em segundo lugar na demo e no número de telespectadores. A emissora exibiu ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Old Christine’ (7.6 milhões e 2.2 pontos), ‘Gary Unmarried’ (7.7 milhões e 2.5 pontos). As séries tiveram crescimento de 10% e 25%, respectivamente. Vale notar que esta foi a melhor performance em mais de um ano – para ambos os shows. ‘Criminal Minds’ fechou a noite da emissora com 12.3 milhões de telespectadores e 3.3 pontos.

Depois de muito baseball, a Fox voltou com ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (5.5 milhões e 2.1 pontos), em queda de 19%, enquanto ‘Glee’ ficou na mesma: 7.3 milhões e 3.3 pontos.

A NBC ficou em quarto com ‘Mercy’ (6.8 milhões e 1.8 ponto – queda de 6%), ‘Law & Order: SVU’ (8.8 milhões e 2.8 pontos – bom crescimento de 17%, atingindo sua maior audiência na temporada) e o famigerado ‘The Jay Leno Show’ (4.6 milhões e 1.4 ponto).

A CW ficou em último com ‘America’s Next Top Model’ (3.2 milhões e 1.5 ponto).

ULTIME NOTIZIE

Dopo “Eastwick”, cancellati anche “Hank” e “Dollhouse”
Maggie Friedman, showrunner e sceneggiatrice di Eastwick, si definisce “furiosa” per la cancellazione improvvisa, dice lei, della serie. La cosa tra l’altro non le ha permesso nemmeno di dare un adeguato finale ai tredici episodi prodotti. Intanto arrivano notizie di altre chiusure: è stata fermata la produzione di Hank, la sitcom con il popolare attore Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) che non ha avuto buon riscontro di pubblico e critica. Al momento non ci sono programmi sulla messa in onda dei rimanenti cinque episodi. Per Dollhouse invece era ormai cosa certa, ma si aspettava la comunicazione ufficiale della Fox che ora è arrivata. In questo caso però tutti gli episodi rimanenti verranno mandati in onda tra Dicembre e Gennaio e avremo anche una degna conclusione alle vicende di Echo visto che gli ultimi due episodi sono ancora da girare. Joss Whedon si è dichiarato soddisfatto e orgoglioso di quanto realizzato, degli attori e dello staff della serie. Ha assicurato inoltre che il finale sarà esattamente quello che aveva in mente sin dall’inizio.
“Ugly Betty” rimane al venerdì
Nonostante le voci che volevano Ugly Betty spostata al mercoledì al posto della cancellata Eastwick, Mike Ausiello ha dichiarato nel suo spazio su EW.com che, secondo le sue fonti, la cosa non avverrà. Il candidato più probabile sembra invece essere Lost che inizierà la sua sesta e ultima stagione a Gennaio quando ormai la defunta serie avrà finito la messa in onda dei tredici episodi prodotti.
Kari Lizer sigla un accordo di tre anni con la WBTV
La creatrice de “La complicata vita di Christine” , Kari Lizer ha siglato un accordo con la Warner Bros. Television. Pur rimanendo alla guida della sitcom, l’accordo di tre anni la vedrà sviluppare nuovi progetti per la WBTV. In passato era stata anche co-produttrice di “Will & Grace“.
J.J. Abrams parla dei bassi ascolti di “Fringe”
La seconda stagione di Fringe è stata quest’anno spostata dal martedì, dove beneficiava del traino di American Idol al giovedì dove la competizione non manca di certo, con alcuni dei telefilm più seguiti della settimana in onda quella sera. Come risultato, gli ascolti sono nettamente calati destando non poca preoccupazione tra i fans della serie. J.J. Abrams (nella foto a destra) ha comunque di recente dichiarato che l’umore sul set rimane buono e il network ha espresso completo supporto alla serie. Ha inoltre aggiunto che il telefilm migliora molto i dati d’ascolto quando vengono aggiunte anche le registrazioni. Questo, unito all’entusiasmo dei fan e della critica, lo sprona a fare l’unica cosa possibile: concentrarsi nel realizzare Fringe al meglio possibile. Insomma per ora il telefilm non è assolutamente in pericolo, anche se è ancora presto per parlare di un rinnovo per il prossimo anno.
Lady Gaga a “Gossip Girl”
Spesso si parla molto di Gossip Girl sui giornali e su Internet, nonostante poi gli ascolti della serie non siano esaltanti. È successo la settimana scorsa con una presunta scena di sesso tra tre dei protagonisti e risuccede ora con la presenza di una delle pop star più famose del momento. La prossima settimana sarà infatti guest star dell’episodio la cantante Lady Gaga. Non è la prima volta che le strade del telefilm e dell’artista si incrociano: l’anno scorso l’attore Chace Crawford, che interpreta Nate Archibald, è stato uno dei protagonisti del videoclip della canzone “Poker Face” contenuta nel suo album d’esordio. Di seguito il promo CW dell’episodio.
Nuovo crossover tra “Grey’s Anatomy” e “Private Practice”
Nuovo crossover in arrivo a Gennaio, tra Grey’s Anatomy e la sua serie gemella Private Practice. Sembra che sarà ormai una tradizione annuale quella di far incrociare i destini dei protagonisti delle due serie. Dopo che già un altro personaggio della serie madre ha fatto una visita quest’anno a Los Angeles, sarà ora Addison ad essere convocata da Mark al Seattle Grace in seguito ad una emergenza. E, come l’anno scorso, gli effetti di questa storia ribalteranno alcuni equilibri tra i vari personaggi.

'Star Wars - Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel' - Chapter 15 (Part 1)

HAPPY VETERAN’S DAY!! I want to take a minute right now and let all the vetaran’s out there know just how much I appreciate that you have done for our country. I know and understand that all veterans of this country have made the ultimate sacrifice of giving your life on the line that I may have my freedom. I respect and hold a high respect for all of you no matter what war you have fought in and in what way you fought. You ARE the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Okay, so I had a day off from work today and I made as much use of that as I could. I got up around eight o’clock this morning because Tara kept coming in and annoying Heather and I till we finally woke up. I got up and headed downstairs along with Heather. She worked on some jackets for Marsha and I worked on music videos for my classroom. I continued to do that while I watched “The Early Show”, “Dr. Phil”, and two episodes of “Frasier”. I got done with that and went upstairs to take a shower. After my shower, I came back downstairs and did some work on my clone helmet and did more work on the music videos. I got done with that and Heather and I ate some lunch together. She got the kids ready for the Veteran’s Day Parade and I then went downstairs and did some more work. They left for the parade and I took a nap and then watched the movie “Cloverfield”.

On that subject, I really did NOT like the movie “Cloverfield”. It was an ineresting concept having the movie shot from the angle of the victims in a situation like that. However, I did not enjoy the movie that much. The camera angles were annoying, it made you sea sick with the camera moving around as much as it did, and then the ending. I HATED the way it ended. Let me rephrase that, the movie didn’t end! It just stopped. Horrible! NEVER go see this movie. You will want your two hours back!

Okay, so I got done watching “Cloverfield” and Heather came home. We then went out to Aldi’s to get some things for dinner and came home. I went to the basement and worked on this blog for about two hours (had a LOT to get caught up) and then ate dinner with the family. I worked a majority of the night on the blog taking an occasional break to play “Call of Duty 4″ on the PS3. Once my usual T.V. shows came on, I started watching those including “Garry Unmarried”, “Glee”, and “CSI NY”. I then went to bed with Heather.

Okay, so let’s talk about Part 1 of Chapter 15 of “Star Wars – Medstar I: Battle Surgeons, A Clone Wars Novel” by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry…..Chapter 15 (Part 1): Getting rid of a body on a Medstar would have been easy. Split the body up into pieces using a vibroblade, put it into a liquid-proof bag, and then put it into the trash that would eventually end up in space. But Bleyd kenw the Black Sun would automatically point fingers at him, and rightfully so. Bleyd was stuck though because he coulnd’t ask for help from anyone because they were either agents of The Republic or were not able to be trusted. He had to do this himself. But he ahd to come up with a plan in advance. He treated the wounds that he received because Mathal nailed him with the knife. He had two long cuts on his right forearm, but with the application of some synthflesh, he was able to partially heal it. Then Bleyd put Mathal’s body into a carbon freezing chamber and marked the block as carrying harvesting enzyme converters. He then moved the entire block to the aft cargo hold’s trash lock. He could’ve sen the body to a chemical storage warehouse, but the body was of no consequence. Instead, he had to focus on the cover story and that was the concept that the agent left his ship voluntarily and then was attacked in space and had his ship blown apart. But the next part of his plan required him to disguise himself because everyone knew who Admiral Bleyd was no his own ship. he had considered this and headed back to his quarters. He put on a long white robe that had a veil that completely covered his face. His robe was identical to those of a group on every large ship called The Silent that helped to aid the sick and injured. A few days ago, Bleyd had put microtransmitters into the flood fo the other members of the Silent on his ship so he could track them to make sure he did not run into them…..

Falou-se muito no menage que rolaria em ‘Gossip Girl’, mas foi a franquia CSI que apresentou um verdadeiro threesome com um crossover entre suas três séries: ‘CSI’, ‘CSI: Miami’ e ‘CSI: NY’ (dentro do episódio de ‘Miami’).

A primeira noite do crossover fez ‘CSI: Miami’ ter um crescimento modesto de 11%: 13.8 milhões de telespectadores e 4.0 pontos na demo qualificada. Já ‘Gossip Girl’, apesar do menage ter sido apenas um golpe publicitário, cresceu 20%: 2.3 milhões e 1.2 ponto.

A Fox ganhou a noite com ‘House’ (12.8 milhões e ótimos 5.1 pontos) e ‘Lie to Me’ (7.5 milhões e 3.0 pontos). ‘House’ cresceu 13%, enquanto ‘Lie’ subiu bons 25%. A demo de ‘House’ foi a melhor da noite.

Em segundo lugar, a CBS com suas comédias: ‘How I Met Your Mother’ (9 milhões e 3.5 pontos), ‘Accidentally on Purpose’ (8.2 milhões e 3.0 pontos), ‘Two And a Half Men’ (14.1 milhões e 4.4 pontos) e ‘The Big Bang Theory’ (12.4 milhões e 4.5 pontos).

‘Dancing With the Stars’ da ABC, fez 17.7 milhões e 3.5 pontos, enquanto ‘Castle’ fechou a noite da emissora com 10.7 milhões e 2.5 pontos na demo.

A NBC ficou em quarto com ‘Heroes’ (5.3 milhões e 2.3 pontos, a menor audiência da história da série), a cancelada ‘Trauma’ (5.4 milhões e 1.8 ponto) e ‘The Jay Leno Show’ (4 milhões e 1.2 ponto).

Além de ‘Gossip Girl’, a CW também exibiu ‘One Tree Hill’ (2.7 milhões e 1.2 ponto).

In terms of the blog this week, I SWEAR I ACTUALLY AM GOING TO FINISH THE LIFE HINDSIGHT POST. REALLY. Mostly because I’ve now managed to finish ANOTHER series and so, thus, have to start working on a Hindsight post for that as well…as soon as I also finish up the BSG one that’s about a quarter of the way done and sitting in my draft bin.

Also on the agenda: last night’s SNL, and the unexpectedly aired Fringe and Bones episodes. Dear Networks, please don’t be bitches and change your schedules at the last minute. Especially on days when I actually have anxiety-causing things in real life. It just isn’t nice.

Recorde atrás de recorde. O jogo do World Series desta quarta-feira foi o Jogo 6 mais assistido dos últimos cinco anos e atingiu, novamente, dois dígitos na audiência.

O jogo foi visto por 22.3 milhões de telespectadores e atingiu incríveis 7.4 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49, número 41% maior em comparação ao ano passado. Este World Series também é o mais assistido nos últimos cinco anos.

Apesar da concorrência lutar relativamente bem contra o World Series, ontem a noite foi mesmo da Fox, que ficou em primeiro lugar.

Em segundo, a CBS, que exibiu ‘Old Christine’ (7 milhões e 2.1 pontos), subindo 5%, ‘Gary Unmarried’ (6.7 milhões e 2.0 pontos), caindo 9%, ‘Criminal Minds’ (12 milhões e 3.2 pontos), caindo 16% e ‘CSI: NY’ (11.6 milhões e 2.7 pontos), caindo 10%. Em relação a ‘Minds’ e ‘CSI’, é importante notar: foram as menores audiências da história dos seriados.

A ABC ficou em terceiro com seu bloco de comédias seguido de ‘Eastwick’: ‘Hank’ caiu 7% (5.3 milhões e 1.4 ponto), ‘The Middle’ caiu 9% (6.1 milhões e 2.0 pontos), ‘Modern Family’ caiu 8% (8.6 milhões e 3.4 pontos) e ‘Cougar Town’ caiu 16% (6.8 milhões e 2.7 pontos). A emissora fechou a noite com ‘Eastwick’ em queda de 11%: 4.6 milhões e 1.6 ponto. Importante ressaltar que ‘Cougar’ atingiu sua menor audiência de sua curta história, mas ainda não são números de cancelamento.

A NBC ficou em quarto com ‘Mercy’ (6.6 milhões e 1.7 ponto), caindo 11%, ‘Law & Order’ (8 milhões e 2.5 pontos) caiu os mesmos 11%, e ‘The Jay Leno Show’ fechou a noite da emissora em queda de 13%: 4.7 milhões e 1.3 ponto. As quartas-feiras da emissora são deprimentes. Tanto em números quanto em programação. ‘Mercy’ não empolga, ‘Order’ ja deu o que tinha que der e Leno todos os dias se tornou insuportável.

A CW ficou em último com a exibição de ‘America’s Next Top Model’, que atingiu a maior audiência de sua temporada: 4 milhões de telespectadores e 1.7 ponto na demo qualificada.

CSI: It's not just a series.

You know that Series that’s all kinds of crazy popular and has all those spin-offs? No, not Law & Order! I am talking about CSI. Here’s a fun fact for you. I have never watched an episode of this series, and only a couple episodes of one of it’s spin-offs. CSI:NY, and only that because it featured an online game I play called Secondlife. The episode was pretty lame, and I hope to god they aren’t all that bad!

That being said, while I have not watched the series, I have played most of the games. I love the games as a matter of fact! Though I’m not sure what genre of game they would fit into, I am guesing either adventure or hidden object games? Either way, the games are fun as hell, and puts you in the role of a rookie CSI. The only problem I have with the games, is that they are short. Incredibly short! Though, they are quite fun!

Now, the games I played weren’t the PC releases. I played the versions that were released on various consoles, PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360. So, I sat today thinking, I would like to try some of the other game versions that are out on the PC. Like CSI: NY – The Game, and CSI: Miami – The Game, however they are older titles, and I don’t know if they will run on a Vista O/S. Which is a shame because I *REALLY* want to try these games out!
