Governor Dannel Malloy signed a gas cap bill which will cap the wholesale price of gasoline. It will go into effect when the price of wholesale gas reaches three dollars per gallon.

Eugene Guilford,the president of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association said that the public should not expect to see a great reduction in prices as the pump.

According to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report the average price of gas per gallon in Conn. was $4.09 while the national average was $3.92.
