Governor Dannel Malloy signed a gas cap bill which will cap the wholesale price of gasoline. It will go into effect when the price of wholesale gas reaches three dollars per gallon. </p>
<p>Eugene Guilford,the president of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association said that the public should not expect to see a great reduction in prices as the pump. </p>
<p>According to AAA&#8217;s Daily Fuel Gauge Report the average price of gas per gallon in Conn. was $4.09 while the national average was $3.92. </p>
