Last week, Washington Graphics LLC printed two vinyl banners for The Farm Youth Outreach in Snohomish, WA.

The Farm, a non-profit organization, is a Christian youth outreach ministry that was founded by the late Bruce Karr and Vicki Stevens-Karr. The Farm’s mission is to give homeless children and their families from Skagit, Snohomish, and King counties access to food and clothing.

Founder Bruce Karr was a respected leader admired by all who knew him. In fact, the slogan on the Farm’s website is “Keeping Bruce’s Dream!” In 2008, the Red Cross of Snohomish County selected Bruce to receive their Humanitarian of the Year award.

The Farm raises money primarily from two main annual events in addition to a few smaller fundraisers held throughout the year. A Christmas celebration called “Miracle on 92nd Street” and an Easter Carnival entitled “Some Bunny Loves You at the Farm” are The Farm’s two biggest events of the year. Volunteers are always welcome to contribute their time and efforts at these events.

In addition to these major fundraisers, The Farm puts on smaller events such as spaghetti dinners and a St. Patrick’s Day pancake breakfast.

The Farm attracts families from miles around with their engaging petting zoo and other animals that can be found roaming the grounds, including turkeys, ducks, bunnies, and peacocks.

During the summer, the multi-faceted establishment is also utilized by traveling Christian youth groups and offers a beautiful week-long retreat for a local high school drama camp. In April of this year, Washington Graphics LLC partnered with Westminster Chapel in Bellevue to create vibrant, noticeable pole banners for Holy Week.

The church was established in 1964 when thirteen families decided to create a bible-based church in Bellevue, WA named Westminster Chapel. Pastor Wilbur Antisdale led the growing fellowship in a rented funeral home located in the downtown, and by 1969, the group was over 500 strong.

As they began to outgrow their facility, the congregation came together and in 1977 rallied to buy additional land for a worship center, office, and classroom. The first service in the new sanctuary was held in 1980.

The church has only continued to grow throughout the years, and today it is one of the biggest Christian focal points in the region. On a typical Sunday, the chapel hosts about 2,500 regular attendees!

This past week, Washington Graphics LLC printed and shipped point of purchase material for new seasonal clothing to 236 Eddie Bauer stores across the United States and Canada.

The shipment consists of vintage-looking fabric signs calling attention to the retailer’s jean line, as well as vibrant blue signs reminding customers of “Fall Essentials” such as jackets and sweaters.

With clients such as Nordstrom and R.E.I, Washington Graphics is no stranger to large rollouts such as this.

Eddie Bauer, based in Bellevue, WA, was first established in Seattle in 1920 by outdoor enthusiast Eddie Bauer. Bauer proved himself to be a very successful businessman patenting innovative designs such as the first quilted down jacket in 1940.

In fact, Eddie Bauer was the first independent company that the United States Army used to manufacture its clothing. They even allowed the use of the logo on their uniforms!

How to Use The Sleek Exhibitor

Step 1
Take each part out of the bag. Put the bottom of one Upright Pole – end with screw hole – into the hole in the top of a Foot. Place a Small Screw through the hole in the bottom of the Foot, and place screw into the base of the Vertical Shaft.

Step 2
Release the extending clips on the Upright Poles and pull open the poles at least a several inches until the lower side holes are cleared.

Step 3
Untighten the telescoping clamps on the Cross section bars so that each side extends about an inch past the full width of the banner.
Slip the Cross Section Bars through the shaft slots on the custom banner.

Step 4
(Best done with 2 people) Match the contoured ends of the Cross-bars with the holes on the Vertical Shafts and apply the Handled Screws.

Release the extender clips on the Vertical Shafts until the banner is drawn tight. * DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE HANDLED SCREWS. *
