A couple schools I am looking into for PhD work want me to attach/mail them my CV.  Problem is, I haven’t written one.

So, I’m calling out to the blogosphere for help.  How should  i format the CV?  What should I include?

Min lördag började lugnt och beskedligt. Pats kom förbi och vi lirade lite Fifa-09 som gick totalt åt skogen för min del. Vissa daga fungerar inte det spelet alls för mig. Mycket märkligt. Vid 19-tiden kom Glazze förbi. Vi gick till restaurang Wallermans på Norrmalm där han bjöd mig på god mat och mycket god öl. Att Glazze bjöd mig var pga att jag fyllde 40 (man) söndagen den 22:a november. När vi satt oss ner såg jag en gammal vän (TW) som kom fram och tjatade lite. När han fick reda på att jag fyllde år fixade han en överraskning till mig innan han och hans familj gick vidare. En av de söta tjejerna som jobbar där kom då ut med en flaska Mariestad med något sprakande och gnistflammande rör som satts fast på flaskan. Tack för den TW. Glazze och jag satt och tjatade, skålade och snackade gamla fylleminnen. Vi hade gärna stannat kvar och druckit om inte en riktig stjärna hade kommit fram och börjat tjata med oss. Han började med att jag har sett att det bara är vi som är alkisar här. De övriga 14 här inne dricker ingen alkohol. Om man sitter och räknar hur många som dricker alkohol eller inte har man inte mycket till liv. Sen undrade pajasen om vi ville göra honom sällskap. Aldrig i livet sa vi, drack upp det vi hade kvar, betalade och gick vidare till restaurang Kryddan. Där tog vi två öl var och fortsatte tjata om allt mellan himmel och jord. Vi bestämde att detta årets nyårsfirande skulle vara hemma hos honom på vischan. När vi druckit klart fick han skjuts hem av sin syster. Själv drog jag vidare till Plankan där ägaren bjöd på en födelsedagsbira. Jag stod o tjatade lite med personalen och tog till sist även en Guinness på flaska som gick ner innan jag tackade för mig och gick hem. Där slocknade jag rätt fort.

När jag vaknade på söndagen mådde jag inte så bra. Så jävla typiskt när min Pappa med familj skulle komma och fira mig på eftermiddagen. Det var bara och bita i det sura äpplet och ta tag i städningen som gick hyfsat fort. Telefonen ringde ett antal gånger då släkt och vänner gratulerade på den stora dagen. Runt halv tre började min baksmälla härja ordentligt. Svettningar och illamåendeattacker en halvtimma innan besöket skulle komma. Det var bar att bita ihop. Strax före klockan 15 kom pappa med familj. Jag bjöd dem på kaffe, te och dricka och till det en god smörgåstårta som jag fått av min mamma. Jag fick 1000 kronor och två blommor av dem. Dessa pengar lägger jag undan för jag håller på och sparar ihop till en platt-tv. Mer pengar kommer jag få nu på lördag när släkten på min mammas sida kommer på besök för att fira mig. Efter vi hade ätit satte vi oss i vardagsrummet där min systerson Anton spelade lite Fifa-09 medan vi vuxna satt och pratade om allt möjligt. Jag visade mina senaste bilder jag fotat för min pappa och han tyckte de var riktigt fina. Min pappa har ju också ett fotointresse. Jag fick reda på att pappa och hans fru ska åka till julmarknaden i Bremen ganska snart och de undrade om jag ville ha något i alkoholväg och jag sa då att en fin Highland Park single malt skulle sitta fint. Maten hade gjort så att jag kände mig bättre så jag orkade tjata och skratta utan några som helst problem. Vid halv fem tackade pappa med familj för sig och jag tackade dem för presenterna.

När de hade åkt slängde jag mig i soffan och slappade med lite tv tittande. Jag loggade även in på facebook och tackade alla vänner där som hade gratulerat mig. Resten av kvällen var det bara tv som gällde innan jag somnade.

Idag har jag varit nere på Pomona Balance och pratat med min coach. Vi tittade igenom mitt CV och hon föreslog en hel del ändringar så att det skulle bli mer attraktivt. När jag kom hem fixade jag till mitt CV som vi hade beslutat.

Efter detta åt jag upp resterna av smörgåstårtan och resten av kvällen ska jag bara ta det soft.

Passar även på att gratulera Firman Boys till segern i den uppgjorda huliganfighten här i Skövde i lördags.

Förutom att lägga upp den här bloggen har jag uppdaterat CV på Adeccowebben. Dessutom har jag sökt följande jobb där:

• Produktionsledare i Göteborg
  Känner att jobbet inte är så långt ifrån det arbete jag gjorde på Autoliv. Dessutom passar det personliga egenskaperna fint!
• Kundtjänstmedarbetare i Härryda
  Bankjobb, såg inte det förrän jag ansökt. Är inte hekt kvalifiserad, min gymnasieutbildning är antagligen inaktuell och dessutom har jag ju ingen erfarenhet.
• Lager i Göteborg
  Visserligen söker de någon som vill jobba extra, men för mig duger även jobba extra för stunden.

Am rămas surprins de CV-ul  lui nea Gigi Becali, trimisul lui Dumnezeu pe pământ.  Actualmente, Gigi candidează la presedențiale cu un CV mai bogat decât a  marinarului Base. http://www.vreausafiupresedinte.com/gigibecali.html . Însă spre deosebire de Gigi, nervosul de Vadim, omul care a descoperit adevărul și îi trimite pe toți la pușcărie, are în palmares doar : sociolog.  Mda. La sigur acesta își va completa CV  cu  înfrângerea de la prezidențiale.

Este sambata si mi-am propus sa nu ma mai gandesc la politica pana maine la ora 21.

Ma uit la TVR 2 la o emisiune in reluare Imaginea succesului.

Ma enervez rau, dau sa schimb programul, ma razgandesc si rabd. De ce ma enervez?

Cu un aer de vadita superioritate ne explica cat de importanta este imbracamintea la un interviu. Ca este important sa sti sa te vinzi bine si ca sa te vinzi bine trebuie sa ai o atitudine pozitiva si sa ai vitalitate.

Adica cum? Adica ce trebuie sa inteleg eu? Ca nu conteaza cum arati, daca esti imbracata in taior totul este perfect?

Minti cucoana, minti cu NESIMTIRE! La banca la care lucrezi dumneata recrutarile de personal se fac pe PILE. Nu ai pile, nici nu ti se citeste CV-ul.

Stau si ma intreb cine naiba te-a angajat pe dumneata acolo? Nu ai pic de bun simt, ar trebui sa salbesti cel putin 35 kg ca sa arati acceptabil. Poti sa iti pui pe dumneata si un sacou din AUR ca tot ca un elefant arati. Asta esti, un elefant mincinos si arogant, care are pile serioase in spate.

Acum inteleg de ce nu am putut sa ma angajez nici odata la banca respectiva, nu am cum, nu am dimensiunile doamnei de la resurse umane si nici nu pot sa mint cu atata nesimtire.

I had a chat with a recruitment agency today, the first useful one that I’ve had since I became unemployed. It was remarkably helpful, but also rather depressing. It was clear that she wasn’t actually looking at my CV, just searching for keywords and then expanding on them. The job was Unix system analyst. I have been a Solaris system administrator by trade for 15 years, and have worked with Linux for much of that time, but not so much professionally. My current CV has been trimmed for brevity: years as a contractor have seen to that as I have taken short jobs to fulfill functions and which means there’s nothing much to say about them. My actual paid Linux experience is ten years past and of course Linux has changed enormously since then.
It was clear that only Linux experience would do: 15 years of working in enterprise Solaris environments, including ones that matched the requirement, wasn’t enough. No doubt the client’s recruitment manager would look for the same keywords and make a decision in the same way. There was no suggestion that there would be any technical input before it presumably got to the Technical Manager.
The spec for this job was loose and didn’t really specify any skills different to any other Unix system administration role.
This is why I believe that the recruitment process doesn’t scale. When faced with 30 CVs for a post, an agent, who might be working from a vague requirement, can’t really do anything but grep keywords, so there’s no understanding of a candidate’s skills, just a bunch of boxes to tick. The client’s HR probably also doesn’t wholly understand the requirement, and applies the same criteria before presenting the filtered CVs to the person within the company who is making the final decision.
If every recruitment agency does that, then it comes as no surprise that those of us who might not have formal qualifications (a computing degree is easy to find), or with transferable skills that don’t include keywords that are exactly the same as what the agency is looking for, are struggling to get work. If I show my CV to technically oriented people they are impressed by my range of experience, but at the moment such people need cheap, and I can understand that, but it seems wrong that the process that I have made a living from in the good times fails in bad times. In my line of business that would be called a point of failure in a mission critical system. Recruitment agents would complain if their email systems failed, but their own system has failed and it’s affecting their candidates and clients.

Fiatal kolléga (kisvaddisznaj)

A Vaddi név, mint olyan, a kilencvenes évek közepére nyúlik vissza, amikor is élénk humorral átitatott kiszólásokkal dobtam fel a komor iskolai ünnepélyeket. Ilyenkor rendszerint az összes körülöttem állónak durván röhöghetnékje támadt, a tanárok azonban komolyan szankcionálták a rendbontást: így aztán vihora helyett visszafojtott röhögés szakadt csak fel itt-ott, ami nem egyszer röfögésbe torkollott (próbáld csak meg benntartani a röhöghetnéket, akár tenyér segítségével is). Egyik ilyen alkalommal sóhajtott fel Garnéla barátnőm: vaddisznó! A kocka el volt vetve, új entitás született.

Később természetesen más közös pontokat is felfedeztem köztem és a röfögő névrokon között:

• a vaddi amolyan kedves, fura állatka, jópofán néz ki, van benne egy adag kedves esetlenség és deviancia, de ha felbőszítik, félelmetesen tud viselkedni
• szeret enni, pihengetni, dagonyázni a fűben, fontos neki a természet
• a malac a jólét, a kényelem és a gyarapodás szimbóluma, a vad előtag pedig feltételezi a formabontást, lázadást: szóval jól él, de szabad
• van egy adag mély, szívből jövő irónia abban, amikor valaki azt mondja: “szeretlek, Vaddisznó” – lol

Így aztán nem csak hogy Vaddi lettem, de Vaddi is maradtam. Legtöbbször ezen a nicknéven is futok a különféle fórumokon. Jó tíz évig Vaddiként is leveleztem, így aztán a postások is pontosan tudták, hogy a hetedik emeleten röfögő szaktárs várja a leveleket (már ha, persze, rájöttek, mit takar a becézett forma).

Emellett természetesen az eszterséggel is közösséget vállalok, bár némiképp komolynak tűnik a Vaddihoz képest. Híres Eszterhez vagy Eszterként aposztrofált irodalmi vagy popkulturális alakhoz nem kapcsolódom, és tulajdonképpen sok más Esztert nem is ismerek. De korrekt név, nincs vele gond.

Melyiket szeretem jobban? Mindegy. Lehet választani.
