O canal CW divulgou mais duas imagens da participação da Sociedade da Justiça na série Smallville. Na primeira imagem aparecem o Gavião Negro (Michael Shanks) aparece brigando com o Arqueiro Verde, na segunda aparecem o Sr. Destino (Bent Stait) e a Stargirl (Britt Irvin).

O Gavião Negro já tinha aparecido em outra imagem e essa nova imagem comprova que o visual ficou igual ao dos quadrinhos, o mesmo aconteceu com os uniformes do Sr. Destino e da Stargirl.

O episódio especial com a Sociedade da Justiça, Absolute Justice, vai aor nos EUA em 5 de fevereiro e terá duas horas de duração. Como sempre acontece com episódios especiais o blog vai contar todos os detalhes!

Bisognosa di qualcosa da leggere, e incuriosita dall’omonima serie tv ora in onda negli Usa, ieri mi sono comprata i primi due volumi de “I diari del vampiro“.

Qualche pagina e subito mi rendo conto che l’unica similitudine con il telefilm sono i nomi, ne passa qualche altra e un pensiero mi si affaccia alla mente: “Certo che è la copia sputata di Twilight!”.

Stefan arriva tutto ben vestito, occhiali da sole, s0litario, in porsche. Edward: stessa cosa, cambia solo la marca della macchina, una Volvo.

Segreteria, lui ammalia la segretaria, lei lo vede. Scena identica.

Lei lo vuole, lui la fissa ma la ignora. Si scopre poi che è perdutamente innamorato di lei e proprio per questo non le si può avvicinare. Tutto un po’ troppo.. simile, per essere gentili. E per ora sono solo a metà libro.

Accendo internet e mi informo sulla diatriba: fan di “Twilight” che si accaniscono contro la serie della CW, cose da caccia alle streghe. Approfondisco un po’ la mia ricerca e cosa ne salta fuori? Ebbene, il primo volume de “Il diario del vampiro“, di  Lisa Jane Smith è uscito nel lontano 1991. “Twilight“? Nel 2005.

Sinceramente mi risulta difficile credere che la Meyer, come ha affermato più e più volte, non abbia mai letto nemmeno una pagina di questa serie.. le similarità sono troppo evidenti per essere frutto di una coincidenza.

Se poi ci mettiamo in mezzo anche le piccole “coincidenze” che ci sono anche con “True Blood” (datato 2001)… diciamo che la sua credibilità tende a vacillare non poco..

Auch wenn ich derzeit noch einmal vermehrt Energien in Privatleben und Haushalt lenke, so bin ich doch nicht zur Gänze vom Schreiberlingsplatz gewichen, sondern habe allenfalls hier das Blog etwas stiefmütterlich bepostet.
Insofern, frisch zum Monatsausklang, noch mal ein wilder Ritt durch die Baustellen:

Eigene Bücher

Wie zu erwarten, schiebe, drücke und drehe ich an den Worten von Verfluchte Eifel, wie es meine Zeit zulässt. Das geht voran, ist aber schwer einzuschätzen. Ich denke, so weh es mir tut, das wird eher Anfang 2010 etwas geben; aber wenn, soll es ja auch ein gutes Buch sein. Qualität sollte, meiner Meinung nach, immer gegen Pünktlichkeit obsiegen.
Buch #4 ist jetzt vollkommen durchkonzeptioniert – ein Vorgang, zu dem ich den demnächst mal was aus der Kategorie „Über das Schreiben“ schreiben wollte – und nun quasi schreibbereit. Mal schauen, aber ich denke, den ersten wirklichen Tastenschlag riskiere ich erst, wenn Verfluchte Eifel erschienen ist.
Zuletzt bleibt mir hier zu vermerken, dass sich Einfach Filme machen erfreulich gut verkauft und ich einfach hoffe, dass der eine oder andere noch über Weihnachten zuschlagen wird. Ist ein tolles Geschenk – beispielsweise auch, wenn man weiß, dass sich jemand in der Familie zu Weihnachten einen Camcorder holt, was ja eher klassisch ist. Also, nur so als Tipp

Rollenspiel-Veröffentlichungen

Die 1W6 Freunde sind seit der Messe raus und noch immer finde ich es irgendwie erstaunlich, einer von vier Lizenzgebern zu sein. Aber es ist definitiv ein tolles Spiel geworden, bisherige Besprechungen waren alle sehr, sehr positiv und es freut mich, dass wir da offenbar tatsächlich eine kleine, aber feine Interessenschaft aufgetan haben.
Zum Weihnachtsmarkt hoffentlich noch fertig wird Das DORP-Rollenspiel, unsere nicht limitierte Neu-Druckauflage unseres Spaß-Spieles von 2003, die über Book on Demand erscheinen wird. Ich schreibe da mal mehr zu, wenn es in den Druck geht, denke ich. Ansonsten wird sich in Sachen DORP in nächster Zeit einiges tun, aber das möchte ich hier nur andeuten, da noch nichts richtig bis zum Ende geplant ist. Es wird aber einschneidend sein, vermute ich.
Das im letzten Post hier noch weitläufig beschriebene, für den Condra e.V. betreute Die Tröte – Jahrgang 1 bis 3: Der Schieferbruch-Konflikt ist ebenfalls bereits erfreulich druckreif. Ich denke Anfang Dezember gehen die Dateien zur Abnahme an die restlichen Redaktionsleute und Mitte des Monats das Buch dann endgültig in den Druck. Sehr erfreulich.
Die übrigen Arbeitsfelder, Cthuloide Welten etwa, sind in permanenter Bearbeitung, stechen derzeit aber nicht hervor.

Sinnstifter

Manuela Sonntag hat Perlen für die Säue nun nach dem Testexemplar abgesegnet und wir warten alle gespannt darauf, dass das Buch den Markt erreicht. Sie arbeitet ja, anders als ich, nicht über BoD sondern über Lulu, insofern möchte ich da auch gar keine weitergehenden Prognosen wagen.
Julia Osterbrinks Living Fantasy steht auf irgendwie frustrierenden, gefühlten 95% Fertigstellung und steht da halt. Derzeit muss es aber hinter privaten und beruflichen Verpflichtungen zurückstecken.

Soweit der unpersönliche Überblick. In den nächsten Tagen gibt es dann auch noch mal ein paar weniger aus weitester Distanz betrachtete Beiträge hier. Ganz sicher.

OK so this past weekend, I attended an event at the USC film school. I attend panels, network away, yet constantly get distracted by this guy… I can’t place it, but he looks SO familiar. Something about the eyes?

I see him again and again, and we keep making eye-contact (or so I think it’s eye contact) so before I leave, I just go up to him and say “Heyy…do I know you?” to which he responds, “I was thinking the same thing!” First I ask if he went to SC. Negative. I ask if he was sure. Again, he was sure we didn’t go to school together. He ask me where I worked. I say TV Guide Network. He says that may be why… and asks if I do red carpet interviews. CLICK! We conclude that I must have interviewed him at some carpet. We begin trying to figure out exactly which carpet… and well, call me crazy, but I have a photographic sort of memory, and throw out the Acts of Love Autism event, back in November 2008. ..and was right! That’s when “Hi, I’m Austin”/”Hi I’m Samia” happens.

So after Austin Butler and I discover that we’re long lost friends (sort of?) he introduces me to Sean Covel, who just so happened to a be a speaker on one of panels I attended.  Why is Sean Covel a big deal? He graduated from USC’s film school and well, produced a film that at least 50% of you readers have quoted at some point – “Napoleon Dynamite.”

Uh...freakin idiot!

Anyway, as I talk them, I discover “fun facts” like how Sean, though he’s seen the film a million times, has blocked the lines from his memory, and actually gets the lines from the film wrong when he DOES try to quote them.

Austin was on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 (co-starring Britney’s sis, Jamie Lynn Spears,) and in a film called Aliens in the Attic (which he was promoting when we first met last year. has been busy in Canada, shooting a new CW series called “Life UneXpected.” had a week off in LA, and decided to pay a visit to his buddy Sean. They actually know eachother because Sean is engaged to actress Alexa Vega, who’s worked with Austin.

Anyway, as we’re parting, the highlight of the convo happens. Do we say “Nice meeting you?” Not quite. Since we’ve met before, the cliche-carpet-line, “Nice to see you!” seems appropriate. Problem? It’s cliche, it’s stock, it’s…well, long story short, it’s a commonly heard line on the carpet, that both stars and publicists use so they don’t offend someone they have/haven’t met. Me, Sean, and Austin joke/banter about this, and conclude that the next time we cross paths, we’ll use a “Hey You!!” or something to that effect.

Anyway, my friend is getting antsy, so I wrap up convo with the guys and… what do I say? “Nice seeing you again.” :-/

Eu já disse que odeio séries da CW por aqui? Pois é, eu não sou o público das atrações adolescentes. Mas, no começo do ano que vem a emissora vai lançar a primeira tentativa de fazer alguma coisa um pouco mais consistente em termos de qualidade.

É Life UneXpected, atração sobre uma garota que vai atrás de seus pais biológicos. Vou assistir por obrigação profissional. Mas, como sempre que pego um novo programa nas mãos, vou torcer para ser a melhor série da minha vida.

Está na cara que eu vou me decepcionar, mas a série até que é bonitinha.

Finalmente! Depois de quedas consecutivas desde o piloto, ‘V’, da ABC, finalmente parou de cair. Coincidência ou não, foi a despedida da série de 2009. ‘V’ só volta em março na emissora.

Chamada de fall finale por sua despedida, o quarto episódio de ‘V’ fez a mesma demo da semana passada: 3.1 pontos, e atraiu 9.2 milhões de telespectadores.

A ABC levou ao ar uma promo da série, avisando que o sci-fi volta em março, dando fim a dúvida de fãs desavisados que não sabiam se a série havia sido renovada ou não.

Com o bom desempenho de ‘V’, a ABC ganhou a noite na demo qualificada, e a CBS levou a melhor no total de telespectadores.

A parte 2 da finale de ‘Dancing With the Stars’ foi muito bem: 19.2 milhões de telespectadores e 4.3 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49. Apesar disso, a audiência foi 18% menor que a finale da temporada passada.

Mesmo com a competição forte, a CBS também foi muito bem com as exibições de ‘NCIS’ (20.3 milhões e 4.4 pontos) em alta de 7%, ‘NCIS: LA’ (17.2 milhões e 4.3 pontos) com sua melhor audiência desde o piloto e um crescimento de 26% em relação a semana passada, e ‘The Good Wife’ (12.5 milhões e 2.8 pontos) em alta de 8%.

Já ‘Biggest Loser’ na NBC fez 9 milhões e 3.5 pontos, caindo 5%. ‘The Jay Leno Show’ fechou a noite da emissora com 4.9 milhões e 1.9 ponto.

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ da Fox fechou com 5.4 milhões e 2.1 ponto, queda de 13%.

A CW só exibiu reprise de suas séries.

AMANDA REMEMBERS HER LAST VISIT WITH SYDNEY — Jonah (Michael Rady) and Riley (Jessica Lucas) decide to head to Las Vegas to elope but the day doesn’t quite go as planned. Ella (Katie Cassidy) arranges a pitch meeting for Jonah with an important producer who is interested in buying his film. Meanwhile, Lauren (Stephanie Jacobsen) calls David (Shaun Sipos) after she gets in trouble with one of her male clients and Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) confesses his true feelings for Riley. Also, Michael (Thomas Calabro) gives David information about Sydney’ killer and Amanda bonds with Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) over Sydney, but of course Amanda has an ulterior motive in getting to know Violet.

A ABC estreou na noite de segunda, um novo reality show que deu a emissora a vitória na noite. ‘Find My Family’ mostra pessoas buscando seus parentes perdidos. Dá pra ser mais apelativo?

O show atraiu 12.9 milhões de telespectadores e fez 2.9 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49. A boa audiência pode ter uma explicação: o reality foi exibido logo após a fall finale de ‘Dancing With the Stars’, que fez ótimos 20.5 milhões de telespectadores e 4.1 pontos na demo. O programa perdeu 13% de sua audiência em relação a finale da temporada passada. Já ‘Family’ perdeu 29% da audiência de ‘Dancing’, mas os números são bons. A emissora ainda exibiu ‘Castle’ (10.5 milhões e 2.7 pontos).

A CBS exibiu ‘How I Met Your Mother’ (8.8 milhões e 3.7 pontos) que subiu 9% atingindo sua maior audiência na temporada, ‘Accidentally on Purpose’ que cresceu bons 14%, fechando com 7.9 milhões e 3.2 pontos, ‘Two And a Half Men’ (13.9 milhões e 4.7 pontos) estável. E ‘The Big Bang Theory’? A sitcom nerd atingiu sua maior audiência na história da série com 14.2 milhões de telespectadores e excelentes 5.2 pontos na demo qualificada. A CBS fechou a noite com ‘CSI: Miami’ (13.2 milhões e 3.7 pontos).

A Fox exibiu ‘House’ (11.9 milhões e 4.5 pontos) e ‘Lie to Me’ (7.3 milhões e 2.7 pontos).

A NBC ficou em quarto com ‘Heroes’ (5.2 milhões e 2.3 pontos) em alta de 5%, ‘Trauma’ (5.3 milhões e 1.6 ponto), que atingiu sua pior audiência na história, e ‘The Jay Leno Show’ (4.5 milhões e 1.4 ponto).

A CW exibiu apenas reprises.

Adam Lambert, J Lo levando um tombo… a transmissão da ABC do American Music Awards foi recheada de acontecimentos. A premiação atraiu 14.2 milhões de telespectadores e fez ótimos 5.5 pontos na demo qualificada 18-49. Essa é a maior audiência da premiação desde 2002 e a melhor demo desde 2004. Por mais menosprezado que seja, o AMA’s foi a terceira premiação mais assistida do ano, perdendo apenas para o Oscar e para o Grammy.

Mesmo com tudo isso, quem venceu a noite foi a… NBC. Pois é. A emissora exibiu seu tradicional Sunday Night Football. O jogo Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Chicago Bears atraiu 15.1 milhões de telespectadores e excelentes 5.6 pontos na demo qualificada.

A CBS invertou a ordem de exibição de ‘Cold Case’ e ‘Three Rivers’ esperando por audiências melhores, mas as coisas não mudaram tanto assim. ‘Cold Case’ (9.2 milhões e 2.o pontos) caiu um pouco em relação a semana passada e ‘Three Rivers’ (7.7 milhões e 1.6 ponto) teve a pior audiência de sua história. A emissora ainda exibiu ‘60 Minutes’ (15.7 milhões e 3.4 pontos) e ‘Amazing Race’ (11.8 milhões e 3.5 pontos).

Já o bloco animado da Fox esteve todo em queda*: ‘The Simpsons’ (7 milhões e 3.3 pontos), ‘Cleveland Show’ (6.5 milhões e 3.3 pontos), ‘Family Guy’ (7.4 milhões e 3.8 pontos) e ‘American Dad’ (5.5 milhões e 2.8 pontos).

* Peço desculpas pela ausência das porcentagens nos números da Fox. A audiência de domingo não foi muito clara.

Writing my next article on the television show Supernatural. Could be a few days before it’s published. I’ll put it up here when it is. For now, I’m hungry.

Premiere dates have been st for a bunch of my favorite shows for 2010.

ABC Family has two hit shows coming back on January 4th. The Secret Life of an American Teenager returns for its 3rd season at 8pm while Make it Or Break It returns for their third season at 9pm.

The remainder of the premiere dates are after the jump.

Southland makes its debut on TNT on January 12th. TNT will air Season 1 that initially aired on NBC followed by the season 2 episodes that are currently being filmed.

Project Runway returns to the Lifetime Network on January 14. The show will also return to where it all began; New York City. Let’s hope a return to the Big Apple will be a return to Project Runway’s glory days of being a good show. Let’s face facts, this past season had talented designers, but entertainment wise, it was quite a dud.

January 21 marks the return of Supernatural to the CW network after an almost 2 month hiatus. THANK GOD… or the devil.

January 22 will be the series finale of Dollhouse on FOX.

Emmy-award winning United States of Tara returns for their second season on March 22 at 10:30pm on Showtime.

What’s more exciting than vampires? A rogue vampire and a rogue vampire hunter!

Living up to the episode’s name “The Turning Point,” this was the kitchen-sink episode. It had a little bit of everything for everyone. We had a person returning from the dead and dying all over again, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) actually getting along and working together (gasp!), a star-crossed love affair, mesmerism, a rogue demon hunter and a surprise accident. It was an adrenaline rush from one scene to the next.

 This was indeed the turning point for everyone. It was no longer a show about the discovery of vampires. This is now a story about how virtually everyone knows there are vampires and how they interact with them. For clearly, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Katrina Graham) both now know. The council, which includes the Sheriff and the Mayor and a host of others know about the vampires. And Alaric Salzman (Matthew Davis) knows a lot more about vampires than he has let on. While Jenna (Sara Canning), Caroline (Candice Accola), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) are perhaps the few that do not consciously know, they certainly have had their fair share of vampire encounters and some of them have taken turns at being victims of vampire mesmerism (Caroline, Tyler and Jeremy). Additionally, Jenna and Matt are closely associated to vampires through their connections to Logan (Chris J. Johnson) and Vicki (Kayla Ewell).

 Jenna also nearly became dinner for the newly-turned Logan, but was wise enough to not invite him into the house. Unfortunately, this did not bode so well for the woman jogging down the road. Logan was the loose-cannon throughout the episode. While not as emotionally unstable and erratic as Vicki was – especially since Logan had the sense to acquire a gun and filled it with wooden bullets to take down Damon when he came calling — Logan was stupid enough to leave the body of the jogger behind out in the open. It was pure stupidity that he left it behind thinking that he was just too tired to drag the body of the jogger back to his lair to hide it along with the others he had been accumulating. It was exactly that kind of sloppiness that put him on everyone’s radar: Damon and Stefan who wanted to keep their presence invisible to the local vampire-posse; the town’s founding father’s group who were on the look-out for vampires, and a newly arrived self-appointed vampire hunter. With so many enemies out to stop him, Logan never had a chance.

 So, just as Stefan and Damon were debating where they should go after leaving Mystic Falls, the Sheriff (Marguerite MacIntyre) stopped by bearing bad news that there had been another attack. Damon then stated the obvious, “There’s another vampire in town.” To which Stefan quickly replied, “That’s impossible” knowing Damon had staked the only other vampire who had been in town – Lexie. But Damon simply retorted, “Obviously not.” Despite their plans to the contrary, it was clear that they were not going anywhere with a rogue vampire on the loose.

 Pulling from his bag of tricks, Damon “recruited” Caroline to aid in using the pocket watch to locate the new vampire – especially since if he tried to use it, it wouldn’t work as his presence interfered with the signal. What was not so clever was rushing head-long into the warehouse just to be shot by Logan, with wooden bullets no less. Ingenious, though it seems a bit crazy for a vampire to feel the need to protect himself from other vampires.

 Despite Damon’s protests, “I killed you. I didn’t turn you,” Logan was not too sure and was furious to have been turned, abandoned and left to fend for himself. With a stash of dead bodies piling up, he just could not get a handle on this vampire-thing. And the one thing he really needed to know was why he couldn’t walk in the sun like Stefan and Damon. If he was going to be stuck being a vampire for eternity, that was the one skill he really wanted.

But after being shot with nearly a dozen wooden bullets, Damon was not feeling so helpful. Instead, he was incredibly pissed off and feeling a bit vengeful – particularly after Logan kidnapped Damon’s tasty-treat, Caroline. So once Damon and Stefan had Logan cornered, Damon evilly grinned and said, “Payback is a bitch, isn’t it?” after shooting Logan. But just as Damon was about to deliver the death blow, Logan quickly said, “You think you’re the only one who wants to get into that tomb under that old church?” It was this little crumb that enticed Damon into granting Logan a temporary reprieve. However, Alaric Salzman, rogue vampire hunter, had another plan in mind and promptly staked Logan the first chance he got.

 So with a whopping cliff-hanger in the balance, namely Elena pinned under her car after fleeing from Stefan after discovering a photo of Katherine and a shadowy figure approaching ominously, we also were left with the image of the Sheriff believing that Damon was the hero of the day (again) when she told him, “This town owes you so much. So do I.” Watch out Damon, hero-worship can be a dangerous thing.
