the good point about krait

• easy to use, just plug, install the software. adjust your sensitivity, then play
• not too much extreme, 6400 FPS are standard for gaming mice
• not too slippery, well most of top spec gaming mouse are hard to use for ordinary usage like browsing etc. cause it Too slippery

well that the good point here the bad point

• Durability were awful, 3 month the scroll wheel get hard, 9 month the sign of burst coming out
• the LED suppose to look nice, but somehow for me it look like a toy not some pro gaming mice

Final word:

looking some normal gaming mouse, not quite expensive, and easy to use, krait can be the solution, but the worst point was durability.

Lammy might have found a home!

After a tiring few days, it was great to get a call from Sheila saying that Lammy should be on his way to a new home in no time. Sheila mentioned a few times about roaming the Lamma streets with a dog looking for a home like the latest fashion accessory.. and many times.. it’s allowed the envious people to approach her and for her to tell them about the dog… No different this time, Sheila was out with Lammy and guess what… Lammy found a home. With Lammy being considered and then not a few times, I don’t want to be too overjoyed till we confirm that he’s homesd. Lammy deserves a home, like all the dogs in LAP foster care…

Don’t know anything about birds, but two “lovebirds” have been abandoned and are heading to Lamma. As they need a lot of care and not a pet for everyone, Sheila has decided to build them a home till we find them new and loving homes… Any one want to home two lovebirds? Anyone with experience and know of their needs?

During Christmas, the LAP hotline (Volunteers Mobiles) haven’t stopped ringing and emails haven’t stopped either. Received a few calls about abandonment, but one in particular was of a pup (probably a mongrel pup, but we are not sure) that use to live in the mountains with his brother and mother… they got themselves into a private estate after being chased by fellow huge dogs and didn’t know how to get out. A volunteer (not part of LAP, but still a loving person) brought it to our attention and has been trying to feed the dogs… but a few days ago, AFCD has come round and captured one brother and mother after receiving complaints from the residents and guards.

Being all lost, the left pup has been in hiding, but once seen by humans, the poor dog has been scared silly by people… residents apparently throw things at the dog (stones and sticks.. not quite things that can be of any good to the dog) and the dog is now very afraid of anything human… He attempted to leave the gates at night, but once the guards come by, he legs it and gets trapped in the estate again…

People have seen the pup and tried to feed it, but it’s too scared to go near anyone let alone people that he knows too well whom will harm him. He howls to the other dogs in the nearby mountains and they howl back… it’s such a sorry sight i am sure… With the holidays, AFCD hasn’t been around… even though the guards are doing their utmost to get rid of our four leg friend. Guards set up traps, etc trying to catch the poor little pup…

LAP were contacted hoping to help the dog, but we have no more info on this yet, we haven’t been able to reach the lady that kindly notified us, so hopefully this means good news… The bad news is that his mom and bro have already been caught and maybe killed…

We did the whole wine tasting thing and I have to say being a very light drinker and designated driver I was not sure it was going to be my thing but it was alot of fun and we chose a great vineyard to visit. Several of the bottles we shipped home came out to France for Christmas and we especially enjoyed the Pinotage with our cheese on Christmas Day.

The final day we spent hanging out at the pool in the garden, swimming and reading and getting last minute sun. Lovely

With leftover food from the brai we had all the ingredients of a great picnic and spent a lovely day at the beach, pics speak for themselves.

Last night was okay, I spent my X’mas Eve with my cousin and her wife’s family. I know, it sounds kind of weird but I did not have dinner with my Mom. She did not say anything about it since it was my cousin who asked me and my sister out for dinner last night.

My sister was pissed off because Mom did not let her hang out with her friends in the evening. Well, actually my mom did the same thing to me, she did not like us hanging out with friends, especially in the evening or having dinner with friends.

So I brought my sister out and we went to karaoke in the afternoon and had afternoon tea together. Luckily our dear cousin called. He asked me if I wanted to join them for dinner. SURE!

Mom spent her X’mas Eve with her father, who doesn’t care about X’mas at all. He actually told me that I should only date Taiwanese guy in the future, which sounds absolutely crazy to me. Not going to change what he thinks, I just listened and helped him with whatever he needed.

Vincent texted me when he arrived in Shanghai, it was about 6pm and I was having dinner with my cousin at the time. He said he had my X’mas gift and wanted to give me last night. I told him that I was at the Bund, far from home so probably another day.

However, he insisted that I should received his gift on Dec.24, so he catched a cab and arrived at the hotel, where I was having dinner. I got the gift and it was kind of funny. He gave me this Chinese medicine that I personally afraid to take. He gave me that because he knew that it was hard for me to fall asleep in dorm. My roommates were too crazy about their boyfriends i guess.

It was a big red bag actually.  there was a snowman doll, an apple and the Chinese medicine. The apple was okay, its the biggest apple I have ever eaten in my life I guess. I shared it with my sister, didn’t tell Mom about Vincent’s gift, she’ll probably think that I’m dating this guy, which will just cause more problems between Mom and I. Vincent left as soon as he gave me the gift. I felt bad when he was leaving actually, hoped that I can spend some time with him but can’t. not the time yet I guess.

My sister and I arrived at home at about 11pm. Mom was sitting on the couch in the living room, waiting for the arrival of us, I supposed. My cousin called me when I arrived, just to make sure that I’m safe. Everything was OKAY on the surface. We didn’t talk much, the more we talk, the more problems will occur, better just stay in this way.

I’m going to WuHan with Timmy’s mom tonight, help her with whatever she needs me to I guess. Will try to go out on Dec. 31, don’t want to spend it at home this year.

Let’s pray together, Dear God, please make my mom realize that she should let me go, give me freedom, let me just hang out with my friends.

Finally have some time in France to post last pics from CT – even though we got home two weeks ago, and should at least be able to do Xmas post while we are here as well.

Ted got his camera for christmas so you can expect to see his picture blog at some point in the new year, currently considering what to call it!!

All well and having lovely time in France, very relaxing and great food and company.

This was a sightseeing day where we went up Table Mountain in the morning and then went out on a boat to Robben Island in the afternoon. It was a hectic day and the coach trip around Robben Island was something of a challenge for Ted – it was hot and long and I had neither bribes nor diversions (I know = total fail), but it was a wonderful day. Most memorable thing – Ry will take the piss mercilessly – lunch – we went to a belgian place which did a kind of meat loaf spam hybrid burger in a pretzel bun with pickles, cheese and mustard – it was awesome!!

So this is Eriday at Camps Bay, Saturday and Sunday hanging out with G&GP, and then MOndays trip round Chapmans Peak to Boulders to revisit the penguins and have some beach time with G&GP

It’s been rather cold recently and though the LAP dogs are not normally pampered with the latest fashion and gowns, the dogs needed to be in some sort of clothing keeping the chills out. We were at the Shun Tak Promenade this Sunday and being right by the water doesn’t help when the temperatures are dropping to about 13 degrees… And guess what? The sun was shining and not only were the dogs warm and happy, all our volunteers were too! What a great day out!

Like I mentioned last week, we were not allowed donation boxes so we decided to take this opportunity to raise some awareness and also recruit more volunteers. LAP offered people dog/cat toys and brushes if they answered our quiz correctly (well, everyone got something whether they got the answer right or wrong). The booth was filled with people and definitely something we’ll carry on doing at events like this.

The great news was that we only brought Lammy and Lucas with us on the day… Lucas was spotted lazing about in the sun by a lovely woman whom adopted a Shih Tsu a few years back and looking for a companion for her beloved. If it all pans out, Lucas could have a home by Christmas! Fingers crossed… Lammy should deserve a home soon… maybe he too will find a home this Christmas….

Dimineata alba, friguroasa, cafea cu mult lapte si globuri portocalii si albastre care asteapta sa fie puse in bradul ce tocmai a fost adus in casa. Asa a fost acum 2 zile… Acum bradul e impodobit, vinul rosu asteapta sa fie fiert alaturi de scortisoara. Zapada inca acopera tot si din boxe se aude “you don’t know me” repetitiv. Bomboane de ciocolata si mandarine stau pe noptiera.

Cadourile pentru Craciun sunt aproape pregatite. Imi amintesc cu ocazia asta de un Ajun de acum multi ani cand am ajuns in fata bradului cu cadourile pentru toata lumea. Le-am asezat, apoi m-am ridicat, le-am admirat si atunci un gand mi-a trecut prin cap: “anul asta Mos Craciun sunt eu”. M-am intristat si am plecat din nou pe afara, prin zapada. Anul asta Mos Craciun… sunt tot eu. Doar ca de data asta perspectiva s-a schimbat. Poate ca am mai crescut, poate ca acum spiritul sarbatorilor inseamna altceva pentru mine. In orice caz, sper sa vad doar zambete si voie buna in dimineata in care toti vor deschide cutiile si pungile colorate.

Ma asteapta inca un brad de impodobit si niste brate deschise larg. Pana atunci cateva zile friguroase si alergatura prin magazine pline de oameni ce cauta jucarii, globulete si hainute groase.

I went to Tima Harbour to have my lunch yesterday and met Mika in SLICE in the afternoon.  I haven’t seen her for a while, catched up just fine.

Tima Harbour is a cafe near JingAn district in Shanghai. I had a cheese cake and some pasta. It was okay but the cafe was too far so I guess I have to find somewhere nearby.

I’ll meet Mika again on Monday and we’ll go to KTV.   I haven’t been there for a while.

LAP has recently been asked to participate in dinner banquets and parties where all monetary gifts will be donated to LAP. We were invited to attend a 10th anniversary dinner at the Watermark by the piers by a young couple whom wanted their guest to make all monetary gifts donated to LAP. We arrived at 6 to set up and left at about 8.30pm. The host were very kind. greeted us with warmth and told us about the evening. We were allowed to leave once dinner started and the short period of time allowed us to make more than twenty thousand dollars… thats weeks and weeks of event and donations. We are normally over joyed with $1000 dollars let alone 20x more than that!

On behalf of LAP, we would like to thanks the host for allowing us to crash their party and all guest for making such generous donations. This means our long term attention – Gigi’s bill will be covered and many more! Definitely something more and more people are doing and opting to do. If you are interested to know more, please let me know. LAP are preferred charities as we are a licensed charity and can raise tax deductible receipts. Not everyone can offer this!

Got up with the dog at 5:30, back to bed at 6:30.  Back up at 8:30.  Nice rest.
