The recognition that Mazatlan is surely recovering from the rough patch that faced a couple of years back doesn´t just come from their local administration nor the Mexican Government, international media is also talking of the bright future that the beautiful port city can have.

Last week the American Cities of the Future annual ranking was published by the London Financial Times for the 3013-14 period, a study performed by the FDI Intelligence. This study, amongst very interesting results, declared New York City as the most important in all the American Continent, due to the volume of investment it attracts annually.

In the second place comes Brazil, the only Latin American City in this list; Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver complete the top five places of this first list of the study, followed in the 6th to 10th place by Houston, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago and Miami. The North American version of this list excludes Latin America and in the place of Sao Paolo presents Calgari, Alberta in Canada.

In a list for Latin America all on its own, the top ten places for the most attractive cities for investment and with the best expectations for the future there are two Brazilian cities and two Mexican; the ranking goes as follows: Sao Paolo, Santiago, Chile; Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Bogota, Colombia; Monterrey, Mexico; San Jose, Costa Rica, Mexico City, Panama and Monte Video, Uruguay.

From the analysis of this study that the FDI Intelligence obtained by analyzing 442 cities in the Continent, where also many aspects such as economic potential, human resources, costs efficiency, infrastructure, a natural knack for business and foreign direct investment strategies is that the lists validate their results.

The best news, at least for Mazatlan and Mexico, is that in the category that listed all medium cities in Latin America, Mazatlan appears in the top ten as one of the cities with the highest cost efficiency. These cities, from the first spot to the tenth are: Piura, Peru; Valparaiso, Chile, Trujillo and Arequipa also in Peru, and Mazatlan, Sinaloa in the middle of this list. In the last five spots Mexico also figures, occupying all of them with Durango, Morelia, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Merida and Saltillo, placing Mexico, but primarily Mazatlan as a promising investment for the future.

I love days where I get to lay low relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. This whole week I feel like I’ve been on top of the world and partially I think its because of days like this when the sun does not stop shining. When I can be outside and walk for blocks and blocks and not get cold After walking for a bit I met up with my boyfriend at his work Bi-Rite market, a store where they buy fresh food locally. We got to relax at the park for a half an hour before he had to go back. After I headed to downtown and did a tiny bit of shopping for my trial shift at the spectacular RN74 restaurant. I ended up getting really lucky and bought a cute off white top and a blazer from Urban Outfitters both under $20. My trial shift started at 530 and I got there around 520, I got rite to work. Ended up staying for about 3 hours and I enjoyed every moment of it. I’m really hoping that I get this job but if not I’ll still be at good ol’ Abercrombie

Since it’s launch earlier this year, the communications firm has signed quality clients ranging from Folsom-based Synapsense to new clients Autodesk (focusing on their technology PR needs) and StickyFan, which makes Fathead-like wall coverings with user-submitted pictures.

What’s the common thread behind all of this new business? They are all led by former Intel connections that Dan made in his years in PR with the chip giant.
