She’s so great at choreography!

I wonder if she’s been teaching Adam Lambert a few moves?

I think it would be cool to learn some routines!

I think the gamers on Wii would love to learn a few moves, get some exercise and watch their American Idol doing her dance steps!

Paula Abdul was never a great singer, but this may be a career low for her. I have to wonder if the singing in this new video of hers would even be up to the standards they place on “amateurs” for American Idol. I’m not sure what happened to the Paula of old, but this song certainly isn’t even close to what she was once capable of.

I’m not saying that Paula Abdul’s come back song/video is bad. Yet a judge on American Idol would say, “Dance like there’s no tomorrow” lacks a certain WOW factor. The singing is alright, the choreography is good, but it’s not sizzling hot. It probably gonna do alright in terms of record sales and charts but I don’t see this going to the top. And Randy? Oh please, he just didn’t fit. I’m sure this would have done a lot better if it’s released in the 90’s though.

To be brief, it’s not bad. But one would expect a lot more as she’s now a judge on American Idol. This classic Paula Abdul is not bad, but she’s just giving us what she has been offering since the 90’s.

Randy Jackson’s debut album, Randy Jackson’s Music Club, Vol. 1, features the single Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow (performed by Paula Abdul). This song is also Paula Abdul’s first single release in twelve years.

After two nights, 24 performances and 28 million votes, American Idol held its first elimination of the semifinals with no real surprises in the results.

The guys knocked their numbers down to 10 by eliminating Leif Garrett Haley and Colton Berry.  Both sang their farewell songs.  And I actually think I preferred Garrett’s swan song to his performance Tuesday.  But maybe that’s just because I liked the hat.

I was a little startled that Danny Noriega wasn’t in the bottom tier, but then I realized that he’s the new Sanjaya.  Hopefully Danny’s run in this title will be short lived.  I’m not sure I’m going to be able to handle many more weeks of performances like Tuesday’s “Jailhouse Rock.”

With so many mediocre performances from the women Wednesday night, a handful of the ladies could have been up for the bottom two spots. 

Since Amy Davis and Joanne Borgella’s song choices for the ‘60s both landed them in the lower echelon, their departure was believable.  If you had any doubts that these two should stick to modeling, their final performances erased them.

In general I’m a little worried about the women.  They were literally following apart after the eliminations were announced.  If they are bawling this hard after the first round, are they going to make it to the Top 12?

The group number was nothing impressive, but I liked the look.  Hair and makeup must have worked overtime.  That’s the best we seen some of the contestants look.

And finally, I must end with a complaint (‘cause I’ve been so positive thus far).  I thought I was watching American Idol, not Relauch Paula’s Career. 

I can live with the fact that she’s a judge and the producer of her new song is also a judge for a show with a ready audience.  But if she’s going to showcase her new song, the least she could have done is perform it live. 

She sits in judgment (if that’s what you call what she does) of all of these contestants telling them that they have to bring their very best to the table for every performance and she hides behind a taped performance.  What kind of example is she setting?

And just for the record, I wasn’t impressed with the song or the video.

Yeah, yeah, I did not worry to update on the ‘Girls – Top 12′ performance yesterday, but I must admit — they were boring. I am not sexist, or anything; but I did not feel the need. Anyway, tonight the results are in and two guys must hit the roads and two girls give back those outfits they have been renting. Predictions for taking the cake [going home] belong (by a mile) to Garret Haley, Jason Yeager/Luke Menard and for the girls… I haven’t decided, but hopefully we will see who goes home tonight think Amy Davis and that biker dude…oops, girl Amanda.Back to the actual show, Paula Abdul is now riding the co tails of Idol, shoot, it took her all these years because I know I would have been dropping videos every week if I was a judge on American Idol (that’s why they haven’t held auditions for judges yet). I think the video for “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” is fun and techno-pop edged, which is doing really well in the industry so Paula should secure herself with a Top 40 hit in decades if the promotion, slutation, marketing, and everything is well done. So the beautiful, black, bombshell (she was my favorite) Joanne Borgella is going home, but atleast she has her plus-size modeling contract to fall back on and I do wish her all the best in the future.

Cry Baby Of The Night Awards: Goes to the cute mini beautiful singer whose name I don’t want to butcher so I will refer to her as, Filipina-Young Thang and taking the male award is David Norriega.

I am sorry Paula but you were finished when you did that music video in the 90’s with Keanu Reeves. Stick to your American Idol and booze and everybody will be happy. And watch for the Randy Jackson cameo, kicking it on the bass. It’s frightening, very frightening.

Paula’s back — for better or for worse.

I, along with millions of other people, saw her comeback on the Super Bowl pre-game show yesterday and I have to say — it wasn’t all that bad. Now, it’s important to note that Abdul wasn’t exactly known for her singing abilities. She’s not exactly Whitney Houston. But she is what she is. And her performance for the Super Bowl delivered the Paula Abdul brand, en masse. Yes, it was pre-taped and yes, she was clearly lip-syncing. But so what? The show was better than Britney’s at the VMA’s. She looked hot and the song wasn’t that bad.

The question now is can she come back and have a bonafied hit on the charts? The single ‘Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow’, is good but it’s awfully sugary. And I’m not sure that that’ll fly on today’s charts. Maybe it would’ve worked in 1990. But regardless, if she puts out a good video with tons of dancing and promotes the shit out of it, she might be onto something good.

I just hope she has some edgier songs on her new cd (which she says will be released in the summer).

And here we have some Paula Abdul, performing (pre-recorded) on the NFL Super Bowl pre-show. So I wonder if this has-been who was Forever Your Girl can come back. I believe this song is on a cd that Randy Jackson is putting out as well as her upcoming cd to be released sometime in 2008.

I thought she would have done this much sooner, moreso when Idol first started (before she was all drunk and stuff). Oh well, best wishes.

Paula Abdul is not planning a musical comeback, but she did do a one-off song for her fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson’s new album.

And it’s actually ok. . not great, but good!!!!! It’s actually really good. Shocking, right? Sure, the vocals are manipulated beyond belief, but so are Britney’s!

The song sounds like something that should have been on Spears’ last album or Janet’s new one.

It’s called Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow. It premiered on Seacrets’s radio show, and it is bound to go to #1 for Abdul and Jackson on the club play charts.

More than a decade since releasing her last single Paula Abdul is getting ready to release a new single in collaboration with fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson. They are apparently getting the video ready with Paula doing the choreography you know this will be fun! She is supposedly going to be performing her new single at the Superbowl right here in Phoenix, Arizona as part of the half-time show.

I have always liked Paula as a singer and as an American Idol judge and I appreciate her sensitivity toward the young contestants on American Idol. She shows that you can offer criticism without always eviscerating a person. Her kindness gets a lot jokes and jabs sent her way but I like it as a contrast point to the blunt Simon Cowell and sometimes not overly helpful Randy Jackson. Just my take! I am watching Idol this season for the first time in several years- thanks to the writer’s strike- another viewer Fox is getting by default…..

Paula is looking really good this season, I thought her hair and clothes in the first couple of episodes looked great- it is wonderful to hear snippets from her single and find out she sounds as good as ever in the studio too! Who says you have to be a teenager to be a pop star? I predict a top of the charts debut for Ms. Paula Abdul!
