Eddie Razaz har figurerat i tre av fyra utröstningsdueller. Det krävs inget tyngre intellektuellt artilleri för att förstå att det krävs något extra för att Eddie ska klara sig kvar mycket längre. Man tar för givet att Eddie ägnar stort fokus åt varje enskilt moment som kan fälla avgörande.

Varje veckofinal ska bära något slags tema. Kvällens tema är Världens bästa låtar. Inte så lustigt i sig. Men utifrån urvalet förbannat lustigt.

Så vad har mannen med kniven mot strupen valt? Utifrån temat sett möjligen det sämsta valet någonsin i Idol. Något av det mest mediokra som spelats in. Jag tror inte Eddie ens fått godkänt om temat varit Världens tio tusen bästa låtar.

Generalnie nie przepadam za muzyką elektro, dance, czy chuj wie co. Ale ten utwór zwrócił moją uwagę zdecydowanie. Jest energiczny, umcyk-umcyk ma melodię (i to całkiem niezłą), Daniel to brat Natashy, ma ciekawy wokal, został nagrany kiedy autor miał 16 lat, daje kopa i teledysk też jest niezły

Polecam na dobry humor, kiedy chce się tańczyć, kiedy jesteś pewny siebie.

Pete Simson and girlfriend Hannah McDonagh

A romantic music fan hired out a cinema to screen his own spoof video as part of an elaborate proposal to his girlfriend.

Pete Simson, 26, told girlfriend Hannah McDonagh, 25, that they were going to watch an arty French film at the Watershed cinema in Bristol for her birthday last Friday.

Miss McDonagh was none the wiser as she sat alongside other cinema-goers, who were actually staff and customers roped in to the plan.

But after the lights came down and the usual adverts came on Miss McDonagh couldn’t believe what she was seeing when Mr Simson came on the big screen in his pants miming the words to Daniel Bedingfield’s pop hit If You’re Not The One.

The five minute-long spoof shows Mr Simson in a variety of colourful pants writhing on a bed, looking wistfully over a cliff top and walking along a beach as he mimes to Bedingfield’s love ballad.

It was filmed on location across Bristol and Somerset, taking in the sights of Cheddar Gorge, Brean Down beach, the Ashton Court estate and the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

The video was filmed over three nights by Mr Simson’s housemate and builder Liam Vowles on a hand-held camera, who then edited it together using a programme downloaded free from the internet.

Mr Simson’s other housemate, James Howiantz, played the music and fed him the lyrics. After the special screening finished at the Watershed, a spotlight came on Mr Simson who got down on one knee and proposed to Miss McDonagh to a round of applause.

“The Watershed are an independent cinema who often have exhibitions for budding film makers so I thought it would be something they’d consider doing,” said Mr Simson, a reporter on BBC Somerset’s breakfast show.

“They agreed to do it, and said they’d do it for free, they even arranged for a fake audience, printed tickets and put adverts at the beginning as if it was a real film.

“My film came up and Hannah just stared at the screen with her mouth wide open, she couldn’t fathom what was going on.

“When it was over the light above us came on and I got down on one knee.

“She managed to blubber out ‘yes’.”

The film is now attracting a growing audience on You Tube.

Mr Simson said he wanted to come up with a proposal to express his wacky character.

“Most of Daniel Bedingfield’s songs are a bit jokey, and it is quite romantic, it wouldn’t look right if it was Marvin Gaye,” he said.

“I wanted to propose in a way that was thoughtful but I have never taken myself very seriously so a romantic meal wouldn’t be in keeping with my character.

“The three of us filming it must have looked really bizarre to a passer by.”

The couple met at Cardiff University five years ago and live together, along with Mr Vowles and Mr Howiantz, in Bedminster, Bristol.

Miss McDonagh, a trainee lawyer, said: “I was pretty confused when Pete came up on the screen, I was baffled and looked around at everyone else but they were staring at the screen because they knew what was coming.

“There were a few titters and Pete kept telling me to keep watching.

“I never thought he would go to these lengths but it is typical of Pete, he likes to be in the spotlight.

“The film looked awesome, really professional on the big screen, and it was hilarious.

“Whether we’ll play it again at the wedding is to be confirmed, maybe a sequel.

Today, I woke up at 1:00 to an empty house. Both of my parents were at work. My dad had made my mom a breakfast sandwich which she forgot and so I put a piece of cheese on it and nuked it a minute and all was well with the world. I played Monopoly Tycoon for awhile and then worked out. My version of a work out is putting on dance music and sweating. Anyway, I did that for about an hour and then put a load of clothes in the wash. My dad got home around 4 and we watched West Wing Season 2 (we are completely obsessed with it. It’s such a great show with superb writing and acting.) My mom went to Wal-Mart to get dinner. She got chicken tenders in some sort of spicy teriyaki sauce, potato logs, cheddar broccoli salad, and banana pudding. It really wasn’t very good but that’s what we get for getting dinner from Wal-Mart. She pulled under the awning of our condo and made me put on pants to go get three bags. Sometimes she is so lazy and selfish, but she did go to Wal-Mart (which is hell on Earth) so I’ll forgive her. Then she decided we’d go the pool and I wasn’t happy about this because I hadn’t eaten since 1 and I was hungry but I went anyway. I was a little pissy but we had fun. It rained why we were there but we came back and ate dinner while watching Friends (the one where they try breast milk and Monica cheats on Rachel by going shopping with Ross’s new girlfriend, it’s hilarious). By the way, she didn’t get macaroni and cheese. I really love pasta and cheese so macaroni and cheese is a logical food love for me. Anyway, after that I got really sleep and so I went to my room and went to sleep until 10:30. I played Monopoly Tycoon again and then watched Grey’s Anatomy because I heard it was the finale and something dramatic happened. It’s very stressful watching it and I thank god that Ugly Betty is an excellent foil for its sad scenes of death and disaster. I have to try to remember that it’s just a show. Anyway, I’ll have to watch something funny before I go to bed or I’ll have weird dreams. I rediscovered Daniel Bedingfield today. He only has two songs I like which are [Gotta Get Thru This] and [If You’re Not the One]. He has my voice type (or the software he uses makes his voice similar to mine) so I love singing to it. I wrote a new post on my music blog. I did BoA’s new album. She’s really good. Grey’s is killing me right now: Izzie’s lost her mind, O’Malley’s joined the Army, and people keep dying…

Mr. Bedingfield (Natasha’s brother) spent the last 2 months tracking vocals in our upstairs studio with engineer Rick LeDoux. Besides all the burnt rice and smoke alarms it’s been a blast having Daniel around. His new recordS (I think he’s working on 3 at once) are fantastic. It’s been like a dance disco party up here. We’ll miss our New Zealand friend.

1969. Lonnie Donegan takes over from Judy Garland in the middle of her 5-week season at London’s Talk Of The Town. The Hollywood star is described as “resting” in her suite at the Ritz Hotel with a nurse in attendance. Yesterday, she had walked off stage after cigarette packets were thrown at her following her late arrival.

In Custody

1980. Paul McCartney has his first meeting with the British Consul since being detained by Japanese authorities on January 16th. The meeting with D.W.F. Warren-Knott lasted about 15 minutes. During that time, the 37 year old singer said he had no complaints about the way he was being treated.

In Court

1978. The case involving Rod Stewart’s tour band continues at Glasgow Sheriff Court. Two road managers with the group, Patrick Logue (27) and Malcolm Culmore (31), charged with possessing cannabis are found not guilty. Unfortunately, the tour secretary, 29 year old Doris Tyler, is found guilty of perverting the course of justice and is fined £ 130. Police giving evidence against her said that officers answering three different telephones heard her say, “It’s Doris. The drug squad are in the hotel. Ditch everything you’ve got”. Mrs. Tyler was unable to attend the court in person as she’s in Hollywood and unable to travel on health grounds.

For those of you who thought I’d gone AWOL the last few days, I do apologise. My New Year resolution to get the blog up in the wee small hours may seem to have been abandoned but that’s not really the case.

As you may know, I’m planning to publish a concise version of the Rockmine Almanac through Lulu next month. This has meant making sure it was up-to-date and working properly – which it wasn’t. So, come Monday morning, I decided to get things in order, going through each of my databases and rebuilding them line by line. Two hard-drive failures in the last year had seen me lose numerous source files. I’d tried everything from freezing them to dropping them but somehow, last weekend managed to rescue the last of what I thought was too important to lose.

This week, I’ve been totally focused on my TV database which had 13, 052 shows. That figure is now 19,176 and I still have probably another 5,000 shows on text files I need to check and rebuild.  I’ve spent ages sifting through daily TV listings in various libraries and trawling through Rockmine’s vast store of music papers for something approaching a definitive listing of pop and rock on U.K. TV but those files are the most corrupted. As a result, it’s going to take some time to add those.

That said, I’m relatively happy. What I do have, even now, is a wonderful snap-shot of what we were watching across the years. Here’s what the database throws up (so far) for January 24th:

I haven’t heard this song in a while, but it was on the loud speaker today when I went to the grocery. This was one of our songs. Strange. I thought I might share it. It always reminds me of her. It’s a sweet song, but I wouldn’t play it for anyone because its just a little TOO sweet. haha
