I’m always on the lookout for Harry Potter fan videos and dannifan123 youtube channel has some really cool ones that they made.

I decided to feature them here for all of you Harry Potter fans to enjoy.

I can’t wait till the next movie.

I wonder what it will be like without Dumbledore at Hogwarts?

I’m already missing him, mourning the loss of a great leader and imaginary friend.

Ce crede Daniel Radcliffe despre Harry Potter

Este interesant sa te vedem si in alte roluri, mai ales intr-unul foarte serios cum e cel din piesa de teatru Equus. Da. Harry este un personaj fabulos si pur si simplu sunt foarte incantat sa il interpretez, dar vreau sa arat ca pot sa fac si altceva in materie de film sau teatru. Equus a fost o schimbare si multi chiar s-au asteptat sa dau gres, iar faptul ca mi-a iesit totul chiar foarte bine m-a incantat teribil.

Harry Potter si Printul Semipur este al saselea film din seria Harry Potter. Crezi ca vei avea emotii cand vei termina de filmat si ultima productie a seriei?
Cu siguranta. Va fi straniu sa stiu ca brusc Harry Potter nu va mai face parte din viata mea. Interpretarea acestui personaj pe o perioada atat de lunga a fost, intr-un fel, ca o plasa de siguranta, iar dintr-o data trebuie sa ma orientez catre altceva. Va fi destul de trist sa las in urma acest personaj atat de drag mie, dar mai ales sa nu ii mai vad pe prietenii pe care mi i-am facut pe platourile de filmare.

Seria de filme Harry Potter ti-a ocupat destul de mult timp. Te uiti inapoi la primele filme sa vezi cum ai evoluat?
Am un sentiment de teama cand ma gandesc la evolutia mea ca actor, asa ca nu ma uit la primele filme. Probabil ca ar trebui sa ma uit si sa fiu atent la partile pozitive, mai ales ca m-am dezvoltat profesional foarte mult de-a lungul timpului. Cu toate astea, cateodata mi se pare putin jenant sa ma uit cum jucam la acea varsta. Insa la un moment dat voi face si acest lucru si cred ca va fi foarte interesant.

Rupert ne-a spus ca ai devenit din ce in ce mai bun la tenis de masa, unul dintre jocurile cu care te relaxezi in pauzele de filmare de la Harry Potter si Printul Semipur. Am inteles ca oricum Emma va bate pe amandoi.
Da, e chiar enervant ca Emma este atat de buna. Si eu si Rupert jucam de aproximativ opt luni si ne ajutam unul pe celalalt pentru a ne imbunatati jocul. Dar cand intra si Emma in joc e cu adevarat foarte tare. Niciunul dintre noi nu reuseste sa o bata. Acum joc mai bine, intr-adevar, dar cu siguranta nu voi reusi sa o intrec pe Emma.

Dintodeauna ai fost un mare fan al muzicii rock. Ce noutati ai mai descoperit in ultimul timp?
Momentan ascult o trupa numita ,,Vampire Weekend”. Imi plac foarte mult versurile lui Laura Marley. Sunt pur si simplu superbe. De asemenea, Adel este magnifica. Unul dintre albumele mele preferate din ultimul an este ,,The Wombats – Love, Lost And Desperation”. O alta trupa care imi place, dar despre care probabil ca nu a auzit nimeni este ,,Beirut”. Au doua albume care sunt pur si simplu surprinzatoare. Chiar recomand tuturor sa le cumpere. Imi mai place ,,Mars Volta” si ultimul album al celor de la ,,My Chemical Romance”, desi nu am fost foarte incantat de materialele scoase inainte.

Deci chiar esti un rocker frustrat?
Nu, nu am suficient talent pentru acest lucru. Daca insa pe parcurs voi descoperi ca sunt un chitarist bun, ar fi nemaipomenit, dar nu cred ca acest lucru se va intampla.

Dar te pricepi la karaoke?
Daniel Racliffe: Sa stii ca la karaoke sunt chiar foarte bun. ,,Rock and Roll Suicide” de Bowies este specialitatea mea, daca pot sa spun asa. I-am dat pe toti pe spate cantand aceasta piesa la petrecerea Equus.

Revenind la Harry Potter. Vom descoperi in Harry Potter si Printul Semipur o alta fata a lui Harry?
In acest film divergentele sunt mai mult intre Ron si Hermione, si au mai putin legatura cu Harry. Harry este nefericit in cea mai mare parte a filmului, in principal din cauza ca toti incearca sa il omoare. Si cu dragostea sta cam prost. Acesta este insa farmecul pe care reuseste Jo (JK Rowling) sa il dea filmului, imbinarea perfecta intre problemele si framantarile de zi cu zi, cu lumea incredibila pe care a creat-o. [Somehow this film, too, slipped through the cracks in my trying to get this blog up to speed. I saw it in July, I think.]

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the 6th movie in the Harry Potter series based on J.K. Rowling’s book of the same name. It was directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Julie Walters, David Thewlis and Jim Broadbent.

[SPOILERS for the WHOLE SERIES after this point.]

Plot:
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is in his sixth year at Hogwarts (school for wizadry). He finds a mysterious book that belonged to the half-blood prince and the notes in it help him star in Prof. Slughorn’s (Jim Broadbent) potion class. At the same time he works together with Prof. Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) to find out more about Lord Voldemort and his weaknesses.

The Half-Blood Prince is definitely the weakest of all the Potter movies so far. The plot’s all over the place, things happen you can only understand if you’ve read the books and HOLY SHIT! they spoil the seventh book/movie. What the hell?

I don’t think I’ve said it here, but if I did, I’ll gladly say it again: David Yates is the worst thing that could have happened to this series and that he gets to do the last four films is even more of a catastrophe. He can’t pace his stories, he can’t even manage to have one constant plot. Instead, his plot is all over the place. Watching the Half-Blood Prince is like watching an ADD bunny: “Oh, I gotta tell you about this it’s so interesting and then oh shit I need to tell you this first and have you seen this and what was I talking about? yeah right there’s this thing I gotta tell you but first have a piece of cake and by the way the whole point of the thing is and yeah so the story…”

It’s unbelievably annoying. And it leads to massive spoilers.

I can live with the fact that they completely butchered the whole Tonks-Lupine thing (no courtship, no nothing, just a “honey” all of a sudden?) because, okay, while I love their story, it’s not really a central one.

But why, why would you go ahead and completely spoil the seventh book/movie and the whole Snape thing? What purpose could that serve?

And all the relationship stuff was so badly done, I really wished Mike Newell would come back. Because he knows how to handle that.

Well. Apart from that, it was fine. The acting’s good, the supporting cast is great and the special effects were well done.

So, summarising: it definitely is the weakest movie so far and it makes me afraid of what the last two will be like but it didn’t put me off watching the rest (I don’t think that anything could).

Daniel Radcliffe dejó que un fotógrafo llamado Tim Hailand fuera su paparazzi personal durante todo un día. El afortunado Tim acompañoó a Dan durante un día completo, tomándole fotos mientras ensayaba para su obra Equus, desayunaba y… salía de la regadera! Las fotografías son parte de un libro titulado One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe, no se quebraron la cabeza con el título. Además de que parte de las ganacias serán destinadas para una obra de caridad, el fotógrafo dijo que el libro era una forma de que los fans de Harry pudieran acercarse un poco más al actor. Y un pretexto para tomarle una foto mojado y en toalla, bueno eso último no lo dijo, pero hay que reconocer que Dan se ve bastante bien en la foto, aunque le ayuda un poco la pose, y no llega ni a los talones al cuerpo de Taylor, bueno ya ni siquiera al de Zac.

An Australian TV show recently sat down with the cast of Harry Potter to talk about what it was like growing up on set and what is in store for the seventh and eighth films.  It was strange to hear the cast talk about how after Christmas the movies will be in the home stretch of completion. It will be a sad day when the final movie debuts in July of 2011.

Двамата актьори си партнираха в два филма от поредицата за Хари Потър, която донесе на Радклиф международна слава, докато Патинсън пое по пътя към главната роля във вампирската сага “Здрач”, спечелила сърцата на милиони фенове по цял свят.

Радклиф заявява, че няма какво толкова да посъветва бившия си екранен партньор, тъй като Патинсън се приспособява изненадващо добре към ситуацията с нарасналата популярност.

Даниел допълва: “Нямам съвети. Той изглежда се справя добре. Не съм говорил с Робърт откакто се засякохме на откриването на една галерия преди 3 години. В общи линии, изглежда че разменяме съвети главно чрез медиите”.

Daniel Radcliffe believes Twilight star Robert Pattinson is coping well with the pressure of stardom.

The ‘Harry Potter’ actor said he does not have any particular advice for Pattinson.

“I wouldn”t have any advice. He seems to be coping well,” the BBC News quoted him as saying.

He added: “I haven”t spoken to Robert since we saw each other at the opening of a gallery three years ago. We”ve been sort of exchanging advice through journalists, bizarrely.”

Radcliffe insisted that fame could be overwhelming.

He said: “It is totally mad, when people are screaming and going absolutely insane for you.

“Particularly with Robert – the amount of women that would jump on him – you have to keep it in some kind of perspective, by thinking ”well, partly they like me and partly they are just attracted to the character”.

“As long as you don”t think ”oh yeah, God they”re all doing this – I must be absolutely fantastic”. As long as you do that, you should be all right,” he added.

Los actores de Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) y Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), en una entrevista a BBC News durante la presentación del DVD de Harry Potter y el Príncipe Mestizo, declararon que pensaban que su ex-compañero de reparto, Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory en Harry Potter y el Cáliz de Fuego; y ahora más conocido como Edward Cullen en Twilight), está llevando bastante bien el peso de la fama. (No siempre es sencillo ser el chico de moda, jaja)

“No se me ocurre ningún consejo que darle”, dijo Dan.”Parece llevarlo muy bien (…) Llevo sin hablar con Robert desde hace tres años, cuando coincidimos en la inauguración de una galería”.

Sobre la fama dijo : “La cantidad de mujeres dispuestas a saltar sobre Robert… hay que mirarlo con cierta perspectiva (distancia). Tienes que pensar: bueno, en parte les gusto yo, pero por otra parte solo les atrae mi personaje”.

Rupert dijo que Robert lo había hecho “increíble” después de aparecer en el Cáliz… Aún así, Rupert añadió que él no acaba de sentirse cómodo con eso de que lo reconozcan por la calle, “es bastante raro” dijo (pobre, jaja).

Robert contó a principios de este mes cómo se preparaba para afrontar los gritos de tantas fans: “Siempre me encuentro a mí mismo llevando un montón de capas para que no se note que hiperventilo” (jaja).

Desde las Escaleras decir que nos encanta verlos a los tres y que esperamos que les vaya muy bien… y ánimo con las fans!!

Actualmente se encuentran en las grabaciones de la 4ª entrega de la saga Twilight (Robert); y en las dos últimas partes de Harry Potter (Dan y Rupert).  Queremos verlas ya!! jaja.

The book series and now two films can boast impressive numbers. But, can they brag about creativity or intelligence? No.  There are countless stories of vampires. Boy is vampire, girl is not, they fall in love. Uh-oh. It’s a gothic rendition of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet… With sharper teeth, of course.

The Twilight series, penned by Stephenie Meyer, was originally geared towards the young adolescent crowd. Those who were in between short chapter books and true literature could find a cozy spot in the pages of Bella and Edward. The writing is simple, and entertaining.

Simple and entertaining has now become a thriving empire. Not only does Twilight put young teens in frenzy, but also adults. Devoted readers put the book before sleep, school and normal activities. Now, the town of Forks, where Twilight is placed, is being run over by readers. Sure, the story may be intriguing. But with writing that lacks intelligence, how much can a reader truly gain from the plot?

As someone who finds true pleasure in reading a well-written and constructed book with fantastic characters and a thrilling plot, I find nothing in Twilight. To me it is dry, and frustrating. There is nothing left to the reader’s imagination. Everything is spelled out precisely. Which, when looking in to who the novel was meant for, is not surprising.

What happened to everyone’s deep admiration for J.K. Rowling’s lovable Harry Potter? A young, awkward and charming boy cursed with a lightening bolt on his forehead and magical powers. The Harry Potter series was filled with imagination. A book of deep characters, self-created creatures and magical spells; is a creative person’s dream. J.K. Rowling’s writing is pleasing, and suitable for both teens and adults. Her words create a fantasy most wish they could experience; Harry Potter has everything.

One might argue that at least Twilight is getting young people to read since Harry Potter has finished. That fact is something good to hear. Still, however, to be such a trend is unbelievable. If Twilight must be anything more than a drearily written book, why has it not become a stepping-stone in to more acceptable literature? Dracula for Twilight fans? Anyone?

My Mum made me hand in my Christmas list weeks ago, which is quite a shame, because today I discovered a book that seriously completes my life. It’s called One Day in the Life of Daniel Radcliffe. Perfect, I know. The link is below. It is almost as good as The Art Of Tim Burton, which was already on my Christmas List.

I suppose I will have to buy this Daniel Radcliffe book as a gift for myself this year.
