Morecambe recorded their biggest win of the season in glorious conditions at Christie Park, writes Danny Milligan.

But Sammy McIlory’s side got off to a horrendous start when after just three minutes, Izak Reid picked up the ball just inside the box and rolled it under Barry Roche.

And the first ten minutes were dominated by Macclesfield, with Reid very nearly making it two when Roche punched the ball straight to him in the area.

Morecambe re-grouped and came back into the game on 17 minutes courtesy of Henry McStay’s volley at the back post. It followed a foul on Rene Howe, the free kick taken by Craig Stanley and McStay sneaking in to draw the home side level.

And only seven minutes later a corner from Stanley was flicked on by Howe at the near post to fall nicely for Danny Carlton to head his side into the lead.

Macclesfield did create a couple of chances late in the first half, the best of which was a cross by Ahmed Deen to Martin Gritton who beat his man but shot wide.

The home side dominated much of the second half and Morecambe’s third came from Stuart Drummond who headed past Macclesfield keeper Jon Brain, the cross coming from the left by Neil Wainwright.

Michael Twiss returned for Morecambe with 15 minutes remaining, having recovered from an ankle injury that has meant he has only featured three times this season.

And the game was well and truly wrapped up 11 minutes from time, Rene Howe picked up the ball just inside the box and curled it past Brain.

A late strike from Exeter’s Emmanuel Panther helps secure a point at Morecambe, writes Danny Milligan.

The midfielder curled the ball around keeper Barry Roche in the 85^th minute to give 10 man Exeter a share of the points.

Morecambe started the game the better of the sides, with Danny Carlton shooting wide and Exeter keeper Paul Jones making a terrific save from a Stewart Drummond header.

And they took the lead in the 22^nd minute courtesy of Rene Howe, the striker touching the ball around a committed Exeter keeper Paul Jones, and sliding the ball into an open net.

Exeter midfielder Bertrand Cozic was sent off in the 48^th minute after a stamp on Craig Stanley.

But the visitors showed their class in the second half, forcing a number of saves out of Roche.

Panther’s goal late on followed good pressure from Exeter and despite a last gasp run from Howe both sides came away with a point.

Morecambe manager Sammy McIlory told the clubs website: “We have to learn to kill teams off.

“It is frustrating because even though it was a good finish the chance should never have arisen.”

MORECAMBE held on at Chester for their first away win of the season, writes Danny Milligan.

Howe set up the first, and scored the second.

Goals from Craig Stanley and Rene Howe were enough for victory at the Deva Stadium.

New manager Mark Wright was hoping for a good start to his third stint at the club, but it did not go according to plan. Stanley broke through the home side’s gaping defence after a smart dummy from Howe, slotting the ball past keeper John Danby to break the deadlock.

Striker Danny Carlton, who is back with the Shrimps for a month loan, made an impact in the second half when he was fouled in the box by Laurence Wilson, Howe scoring from the spot.

But the Shrimps were made to work for the win, when Eddie Johnson pulled one back for the home team.

His header into the bottom corner was the striker’s first goal for the club since he signed earlier this season.

Chester could not go on to grab an equaliser, despite Ryan Lowe’s attempt which keeper Barry Roche was more than equal to.

Morecambe assistant-manager Mark Lillis, 48, has signed a one-year contract extension. This follows the recent one-year extension of manager Sammy McIlroy’s contract.

Wie schon vor 2 Tagen berichtet, hat Danny Carlton etwas gegen `AdBlock Plus`-User – er hat fälschlicherweise den Autor dieser praktischen Erweiterung als Deutscher bezeichnet und danach Sprüche im Stil von `Die deutschen sind alle Schuld am Nationalsozialismus` geklopft, nur weil dieser eine Sicherheitslücke im Firefox umschifft hat und somit Danny’s `AdBlock Plus`-Erkennungsskript unbrauchbar machte.

Nun geht die Soap weiter. Danny nutzt ein Fake-Bild, um `AdBlock Plus` zu erkennen. Bei mir scheint das nicht zu funktionieren, angeblich würde ich zwar den Firefox benutzen, aber `AdBlock Plus` sei nicht aktiv. Ich habe das aber immer an.

Um das Skript zu umgehen, muss man JavaScript einfach ausschalten. Alternativ kann man ‘ none.emediate.jpg’ auf die `AdBlock Plus`-Whitelist setzen.

Dass es Seiten gibt, die sich durch Werbung finanzieren ist klar. Doch fast alle Werbeunternehmen haben mindestens eine der folgenden Eigenschaften:

• Ihre Werbung ist äusserst aufdringlich (Layer-Ads)
• Sie erheben mehr Daten als einem lieb ist (Google AdSense)

Somit muss es einen nicht wundern, dass mehr und mehr Personen etwas dagegen unternehmen. So gibt es etwa die nette Firefox-Extension `AdBlock Plus`, die Werbung schnell und einfach beseitigt. Der Fanatiker Danny Carlton wollte dies nicht auf sich sitzen lassen und versuchte, die Nutzer von `AdBlock Plus` auszusperren. Als dies nichts zu nützen schien, verbannte er kurzerhand den Firefox von seinen Seiten und leitete dessen Nutzer auf whyfirefoxisblocked.com um. Vor etwa einem Monat schliesslich nutzte er eine Firefox-Lücke, um das Vorhandensein von `AdBlock Plus` festzustellen.

In der vorerst letzten Episode dieser Soap bestätigt sich Godwins Gesetz – das besagt, dass in jeder Diskussion am Ende Hitler oder die Nazis erwähnt werden – einmal mehr. Nur weil Wladimer Palant, der Entwickler von `AdBlock Plus`, dieses Sicherheitsleck in einer neueren Version umschifft hat, wird er aufs übelste beschimpft. Der Firefox ist wieder einmal von Carlton’ Seiten geblockt.

In der Vergangenheit ist Carlton schon öfter durch infantile, naive Blog-Posts aufgefallen. So wäre man ihm zufolge ein «Firefox-Fanboy», wenn man «es gut findet, dass die Zukunft des Webs durch eine Gruppe Nerds (das W3C) statt durch Maktbedürfnisse entschieden wird». Ausserdem findet er, dass der Internet Explorer der beste Browser der Welt sei. Das passt irgendwie zusammen.
