Trust is the name of the movie that Schwimmer, best known for his role as Ross on the television sitcom Friends, has been directing in Plymouth and other area locales in recent days. The movie, a family drama, stars Clive Owen, Catherine Keener and Noah Emmerich; the writer is Andy Bellin.Schwimmer and his cast and crew were on Church Street last week and on Forest Avenue on Monday. Shooting began in Michigan Nov. 5 and is scheduled to be completed in mid-December, said publicist Cid Swank.

Trust is believed to be the biggest Hollywood production with a Plymouth setting since the 1980s newspaper drama Word of Honor, starring Ron Silver and the late Karl Malden.

“It creates economic opportunity,” said Wes Graff, executive director of the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce. “Obviously, it’s sent some money” into the local economy. Graff said he spoke with an assistant on the set who told him 60 percent of the film’s crew is from Michigan.

Schwimmer, who is directing his second film, has been seen around Plymouth several times, including twice at the Burger Spot on Forest, where he had lunch on Monday and one day last week.

“Kind of a quiet guy,” said Burger Spot owner Mike Schmidt. Schwimmer had two burgers and a large order of fries on each visit, Schmidt said. He ate alone, reading and checking messages on his phone, Schmidt said, although he was briefly accompanied by a woman on his first visit.

“Still waiting for Clive Owen or Catherine Keener,” Schmidt said with a smile.

Schwimmer seemed friendly and approachable, Schmidt said, although he pretty much kept to himself. On his Monday visit, he was recognized and attracted a few curious people, he said, including one woman who spoke with him briefly, Schmidt said.

Graff said Schwimmer’s interest in Plymouth speaks well of the impression the city makes on visitors.

“The quality of what they consider to be scenic, the older homes, obviously plays well with this kind of film,” he said.

A made-for-cable movie, Christmas in Pittsburgh, is also scheduled to be partly filmed in Plymouth, beginning next month, Graff said.

There has been a lot of fun and excitement associated with the filming of Trust, the David Schwimmer movie starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener.   I don’t know too many specifics, but quite a few scenes have been shot on the streets of our little town.

There are some other web sources regarding this, particularly some cool stuff on Facebook.  I’m hoping to gain permission to share some of that information here (since it was gathered by someone else’s hard work.)

UPDATE:  As of about 8 p.m. today (Wed., 11/25), it looked like there was shooting taking place in The Gathering.  The intersection of Union and Penniman, and in front of the Penn, were closed to traffic.

2004 was a hard call to make, especially as someone who spent the majority of her life dreaming of living in Boston, living in Boston, and now, planning to go back to Boston. The Red Sox winning the World Series and breaking the curse in 2004 is high on the list of things that I am thrilled to have been able to witness.

2004 also saw some pretty good films with Super Size Me and Napoleon Dynamite. The latter resulted in every high school student I know incessantly quoting the film for months. (“But my lips hurt real bad!”, and “Whatever I feel like I wanna do, God!”, seem to be the most memorable). Garden State, if I remember correctly, also ruled my life. (And its soundtrack ruled the CD player of my borrowed car that fall). These were all thoroughly enjoyable and everything, but my final decision was the television show Friends.

Friends began in 1994 and followed the stories of 6 twenty-something best friends; Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Monica Geller (Courteney Cox Arquette), Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), and Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc).

I’m sure that everybody knows the basic story line of Friends, so I won’t get into it. Basically, it was a stand-out during the mid-1990’s height of sitcoms. It was funny, it was simple, it portrayed a life that I could only dream of, and the characters were wildly attractive. I never had “The Rachel” haircut, but I have taken photos of Ms. Aniston to the hairdresser with me before, and I’ve always dreamed of having a purple kitchen like Monica’s.

Friends makes the cut because not only did I love the show, I loved it for years on end. I loved the characters and I loved following their lives and relationships. I’m not sure if I was ever truly invested in it as a show that I had to watch every single Thursday night when a new episode aired, but I know I did often make a point to watch it — and part of me finding and enjoying the show probably had everything to do with the fact that it aired on Thursday nights: The only night a week  that I could count on having off from gymnastics.

Not that the day of the original airing really mattered: the show reran in syndication an unreal amount through the early ’00s.

Friends is an easy show to like, and that’s probably why I like it. Sometimes it’s nice to just be entertained by enjoyable characters. While I do like viewing and reading things that require considerable critical thought (though, as a handful of professors will tell you, getting me to enjoy viewing and reading in such a way was not an easy task), but more than that, I enjoy being entertained. I like being able to take a story at face value and laugh at it. I loved the immature antics of Joey and Chandler and their open indulgence in simple things: television, take-out, porn, and ceramic dogs. I loved the materialistic side of Rachel: I could never be that vain if I tried, but I like the idea that maybe it doesn’t make you a bad person if you are. And, if I’m being honest, I loved the romantic story lines with Ross & Rachel and Monica & Chandler. I spent 10 years rooting for Ross and Rachel, and so did you.

I cried when I watched the Friends finale, because I had invested countless hours into these characters, and it was time to move on. (I cry when I finish books, too, because it’s like my new book-friends die when the story is over).

While there might not be anything seemingly ground-breaking about the show, it is the only show that I can think of (with a possible exception of It’s Always Sunny) that has ever had a true ensemble cast. All 6 friends played an equal acting role, and in each others fictional lives. They broke ground when they lobbied to all be paid the same per episode salary (Schwimmer and Aniston took pay cuts in order for this to happen), and ultimately, the show was probably so believable because of things like that. Friends felt genuine because the cast members were, in actuality, friends.

I will admit right now that I proudly own at least two seasons on DVD and at least four “Best of Friends” DVDS… and a trivia game…

One of my personal favorite scenes (though it’s impossible to choose).

Watching an old episode of ‘Friends’ the other night – the one where Ross says the wrong name during his wedding to Emily -  I was reminded of the night I played some songs in front of Jennifer Saunders. Jennifer’s daughter was playing that night too as it was an open mic night at a local bar. I was due to go on after her and it only dawned on me as I was checking my guitar was in tune over in a quiet corner that Jennifer was in the front row, having come to watch her daughter’s performance. She looked softer than her ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ persona and seemed to be enjoying the evening. When I stepped out onto the stage for my slot I tried not to stare directly at her as I knew it would make me feel nervous. I don’t know why, there was a time when I kept randomly bumping into celebrities. Then again, when it is random you don’t ever really get a chance to get used to the idea. I mean you can’t wonder around life think ‘Oh I’m Mr Planet, I bump into famous people.’ Not unless you want people to use the word ‘arrogant’ when they describe you.

But it is true that I’ve encountered celebrities in unexpected situations. Once I was heading to a band rehearsal and walking over a bridge in town. Coming the other way was a blond chap who seemed a little familiar. ‘He looks like David McCallum out of ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’,’ I thought to myself as he drew nearer. “You’re David McCallum,” I suddenly said. “Yes I am,” he replied, “And who are you?” “Oh I’m just a bloke on the street hassling you,” I said, realising that it was really rather rude of me to just blurt out my thoughts at him. He extended his hand and said “Hello bloke on the street.” “Hello David McCallum.” He then pointed at my guitar case and said “You playing tonight?” “Rehearsing with my band,” I told him. “You any good?” he wanted to know. “I’m not bad.” He smiled and said “Well I’m not bad at acting so you never know.” And that was that. He had to go, I was late for rehearsal and I forgot to ask him the most important question which was, ‘What are you doing in this two-bit nowhere town I call home?’

Some years later, when I was at university, I was standing at the queue for the ATM with my son, who was probably about eight or nine years old at the time. There were two ATM machines and the guy alongside me in the other queue looked familiar. Oh my word, he was Dave Davies, guitar player of The Kinks, one of my favourite sixties bands. “Hello guitar man,” I said. He turned round and smiled and said something quite softly. I remembered as he spoke that he’d suffered a stroke a few years back so he might not want people bugging him on the street. So I just gave him the thumbs-up, which he returned. We both stepped forward to the cash machines at the same time and when he’d done he tapped me on the shoulder and said goodbye with another thumbs-up. “Who was that?” asked my son. “He was in a huge band in the sixties.” “Bigger than McFly?” he asked (for the Americans, McFly were the equivalent of the Jonas Brothers over here for a year or two). “Well sort of,” I replied, “But even bigger and much more talented.” “Cool.” And I had to agree, how very cool to just bump into Dave Davies while waiting to draw some money out of the bank.

In similar fashion I have met Donald Sutherland, David Suchet (who plays Poirot over here in the UK), Hugh Cornwell of The Stranglers, Tony Robinson (Baldrick from ‘Blackadder’), and several other minor celebs. But the famous person I refused to get excited about was a member of the royal family. It was my first year at university and I was walking down a corridor talking with a friend. My shoulder brushed against the shoulder of somebody coming the other way. “Sorry,” I said and carried on walking. My friend was agitated. “Oh my god! Do you know who that was?” “Nope,” I said, as I hadn’t even looked up. “That’s Peter Philips.” “Er, and he is?” “Princess Anne’s son. The Queen’s grandson.” I wondered what my friend expected me to do with this information. Run after Peter Philips and throw myself prostrate before him uttering profuse apologies? I grinned. “I doubt very much he’ll have me sent to the tower for brushing his shoulder, especially as I’ve said sorry. He probably likes being treated like a normal person anyway.” My friend still looked doubtful but, as my head was still attached to my shoulders, I assumed I was right and carried on walking.

Shooting for a David Schwimmer-directed film, Trust, starring Clive Owen and Catherine Keener, started tonight in town.  It will resume from Thursday afternoon to Friday morning and pick up again after Thanksgiving.

Normalmente, Simon Pegg é meio caminho andado para uma comédia ser porreira. Neste caso, e uma vez que se trata de uma comédia romântica, nem por isso. O argumento é demasiado típico de comédia romântica, caindo na espiral descendente de filmes boy loves girl-girl dumps boy-boy gets the girl (again). Como curiosidade, isto foi realizado pelo ex-Friend David Schwimmer e conta com Dylan Moran, o lunático Bernard Black da série Black Books, que é provavelmente o melhor do filme.  Dennis Doyle (Simon Pegg) é um segurança numa loja de roupa de senhoras, que deixou a sua noiva grávida (Thandie Newton) no altar. Cinco anos volvidos, Dennis continua apaixonado pela miúda mas surge o novo noivo perfeito que corre maratonas (Hank Azaria), e portanto a única maneira de reconquistar a miúda é correr uma maratona. A ver apenas em extrema necessidade de fazer a vontade à cara-metade (levem um telemóvel com rádio para ouvir o relato da bola, sempre aproveitam o tempo para alguma coisa útil).

Isso, se não correres depressa a Asylum ainda te apanha.

Happy Halloween (tomorrow)! But for our workplace purposes, you get the drift. It’s Friday and the weekend’s here and gee, what’ll you do for fun? Will you trick or treat? Will you see one of the (few) movies opening this weekend? If you’re curious, here’s the deal…not tons of  brand new films opening because we’ve still got a few weeks before the  big blockbuster holiday stuff that falls in the TCMZ  (Thanksgiving/Christmas Movie Zone) …as in New Moon, 2012, A Christmas Carol, Avatar, etc… But for now, your main choices are as follows. There is 1) This Is It, the Michael Jackson documentary. 2) Gentlemen Broncos, the latest from Jared Hess who made Napoleon Dynamite. I saw it and while I realize I am easily 20-30 years older than the target audience, I did find Jemaine Clement (Flight of  the Conchords) really funny in it. Perhaps you’ll see Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day which is the sequel to the cult hit B.S.(1) — still starring Sean Patrick Flannery and Norman Reedus. Then we have another scary movie: House of the Devil which is getting lots of critical acclaim. Or perhaps you’ll just go see Paranormal Activity and continue to make that flick one of the most profitable pictures ever! If you do see something, let us know what you think.

In the meantime, all this TV stuff got me wondering — which naturally, does lead to a poll. Because I was watching a Friends rerun. Still funny. A show I was quite keen on. And I know now that the girls have all done really well of late. Courteney Cox has a hit show,  Cougar Town. Jennifer Aniston’s got a slew of movies, she’s one of America’s faves and her lovelife is daily tabloid fodder. Their costar, the lovely Lisa Kudrow is also about to guest star on Cougar Town.

So the Friends gals are really busy these days. Which leads me to wonder…what about the guys? Oh sure, everybody has a few misfires. But my question for you today is which of these guys has the stamina (and the chops) to survive the curse of the hit sitcom?

Inspired by my recent enjoyment of ‘How to lose Friends and Alienate People’ I thought I would maintain my viewing pursuit of Simon Pegg’s back catalogue and watch David Scwimmers directorial debut ‘Run Fat Boy Run”. 

A pretty solid cast for a romantic comedy comprising of Simon Pegg, Thandie Newton, Hank Azaria, and the under rated Irish comic Dylan Moran.  Those that have watched the British comedy series ‘Black Books’ will recognize Moran in a role similar to his character Bernard, and nothing like his role of David in ‘Shaun of the Dead’. 

The movie itself centers on Simon Pegg’s character Dennis, who stands accused by his friends as always finding excuses for his problems and alleviating himself from the responsibility of dealing with them head on.  Dennis’ major regret in life is also the opening of the movie, which shows Dennis ditching a heavily pregnant Libby (Thandie Newton’s character) at the altar and literally running for the single life.

Fast forward a 6 years and Dennis is a part time Dad and fulltime security guard at a women’s clothes store, chain smoking and unable to catch transsexual shop lifters due to extra gut girth. Although Libby still speaks with Dennis, she is well and truly over her former fiancé, the same however can’t be said for Dennis.  Libby is so far over Dennis that she now has a new beau, a rich, successful and intelligent hedge fund manager and typical city boy in the form of Hank Azaria’s character Whit.

What follows is a somewhat typical story of the underdog trying to win back the heart of the girl he loves, what keeps it original though is the merge of British and American comedy which is balanced nicely.  Although fundamentally a British film, there is enough of an American influence that I would struggle to call it an outright Brit flick.  What you get is an uplifting and inspirational tale of love, laughs and determination.

Simon Pegg is, as always, fantastic in his role as the loveable ‘average Joe’, utilizing perfect comic timing and just the right about of facial and physical comedy to get the laughs flowing. 

I won’t go into detail, let you know the storyline involves a marathon and just suggest you give it a watch, not one for the movie theaters but for a night on the couch with the other half it fits the bill well. 

I’ll be looking out to see what David Schwimmer does next as a debut I’m impressed.

Um dos caras mais engraçados da televisão. Depois de anos atuando em “Friends”, não tem como ele não ser lembrado como Ross em qualquer outro papel que faça. Um dos melhores atores, na minha opinião, e ele também tem um charme escondido que eu adoro *–*

9 – David Tennant

Quem gosta de ficção científica sabe de quem estou falando. David Tennant interpreta o décimo doutor, da série britânica Dr. Who, um seriado muitíssimo interessante. Na minha opinião, o melhor dos 10 doutores que já apareceram na série, que está no ar desde 1963…!

8 – Will Smith

Esse cara! Todos lembram dele como Fresh Prince Of Bell Air (Um maluco no pedaço), mas também como todos os outros super personagens que esse cara já fez na vida…! Quem no mundo não para para assitir “Eu, robô”, mesmo que seja só um pouquinho, quando passa na televisão? É o magnetismo Smith!

7 – Heath Ledger

Sempre que eu penso em Heath Ledger, fico com vontade de chorar. Um ótimo ator, que interpretou personagens que nos fazem rir, ou chorar, ou até mesmo idolatrar um vilão, que morreu precocemente – alguns dizem suicídio, outros acidente. O fato, é que ele morreu com uma legião de fãs ao redor, tendo a certeza de que era um ótimo ator…! *não, eu NÃO assisti O Segredo de Brokeback Montain ¬¬

6 – Liam Aiken

Ator desde pequenininho, ficou famoso depois de interpretar Klaus Baudelaire em Desventuras em Série. Apesar de ter assistido poucos filmes com ele, simplesmente me encanto quando o vejo na telinha. E não só em Desventuras em Série, pois, quem não gosta do filme com o cachorrinho alienígena que SEMPRE passa na Sessão da Tarde? hehehe

5 – Michael C. Hall

Sim, ele mesmo, o “Querido e Devotado Dexter”. Não tendo assistido outros programas/seriados/filmes com ele, falo apenas por ter assistido o seriado Dexter, em que ele interpreta um assassino em série sem sentimentos, que tenta limpar o mundo de certos “espirítos de porco” que poluem nossa sociedade. Além de ser um gato.

4 – Rupert Grint

Pois é! Sempre apaixonada por ruivinhos…! O ator que interpreta Ron Weasley nos filmes de Harry Potter, na minha opinião, é um dos melhores atores da série Harry Potter, se não o melhor – O segundo melhor era o cara que fez os dois primeiros filmes da série, que infelizmente, morreu… tadinho -. Não, eu acho que Daniel Radcliffe atua mal e que Emma Watson é muito falsa em sua atuação, mas não Rupert. Esse carinha realmente encarnou Ronald Weasley, principalmente pelo fato de que ele já era um grande fã da série antes mesmo de ser chamado para fazer os filmes. Mas, é claro, que um ator desses não faria apenas Harry Potter! Ele atuou também, quando criança, num filme chamado “ThunderPants” – no Brasil “Pum – Emissão Impossível” -, e já depois de Harry Potter em um filme chamado “Driving Lessons”, ou “lições de vida”…!

3 – Hugh Jackman

É, acho que todo mundo já sabe da minha paixão incondicional por esse cara…! O homem que sabe interpretar qualquer papel, desde super-herói rabugento, até um inventor do século 19 cheio de floreios. Além de ser lindo e encantar corações, sabe atuar como ninguém…! Com certeza, um dos primeiros lugares nessa lista!!

2 – Johnny Depp

Outro por quem sou apaixonada…! Desde Edward Mãos-de-Tesoura até o querido Jack Sparrow, Johnny nos encanta com suas personagens tão diferentes uma da outra. Johnny é extremamente exigente com seus papéis, e, estranhamente, não gosta de assistir seus próprios filmes. Também atua como dublador, e, sempre que pensam em Johnny Depp, outro nome vem imediatamente na nossa cabeça: Tim Burton. A parceria entre os dois já é bastante comum, e vem funcionando desde sempre… E espero que até muito tempo a partir daqui. 

1 – Robin Williams

Um ator que eu simplesmente acho O MELHOR. Não é de hoje que sou totalmente fã desse cara. Quem nunca assistiu Patch Adams, O Homem Bicentenário ou Jumanji? Um cara que consegue fazer filmes de comédia da mesma forma como faz filmes de drama: perfeitamente. Um gênio da atuação, que faz qualquer um dizer “esse é um cara legal” quando o vê em qualquer papel em qualquer filme ou seriado, ou até mesmo clipe. Até mesmo seu rosto faz com que a gente sinta que ele é O cara…! Por isso, com toda certeza, Robin Williams merece o primeiro lugar nessa lista!

Bem, depois dessa lista, pretendo criar uma com “As 10 melhores atrizes”, porque as mulheres também merecem uma listinha dessas! Então, qual é a sua lista?

 Lembra dele? David Schwimmer, que durante 10 temporadas interpretou Ross Geller na série Friends, até hoje considerada uma das maiores da história. Pois bem, em 2007 Schwimmer entrou de vez para o ramo de diretor (mesmo já tendo dirigido alguns episódios da finada série), segundo o Hollywood Reporter, ele vai dirigir o drama “Trust” para a Millenium Films.

Ainda de acordo com a reportagem, Clive Owen e Catherine Keener, estão escalados para o filme.

A trama acompanha uma família que fica surpresa ao descobrir que sua filha adolescente vira vítima de um predador sexual na internet. Owen e Keener serão os pais. Liana Liberato viverá a filha do casal.

Schwimmer produz o filme ao lado de seu amigo Tom Hodges. O roteiro foi escrito por Andy Bellin.

Este será o segundo longa dirigido por ele. O 1° foi a comédia “Maratona do Amor”, protagozinado por Simon Pegg.

After smoking our brains out and watching this one about *toke* *toke* 100 times, I finally decided I liked this one just as much as Madagascar. There is nothing like gettin ripped and hearing the voices of Chris Rock rambling on… and imagining how good looking Jada is while staring at a fat hippo the whole movie…. *shrugs*…..

O elenco do seriado “Friends” vai se reunir mais uma vez para fazer um filme baseado no sucesso da TV, informou neste domingo o jornal “Daily Mail”. As seis estrelas concordaram em mudar para a tela grande, seguindo o sucesso do filme “Sex and The City”.

De acordo com o jornal, isso significa que Jennifer Aniston, 40, Courteney Cox, 45, Lisa Kudrow, 46, Matt LeBlanc, 42, Matthew Perry, 40, e David Schwimmer, 42, ficarão juntos no mesmo cenário pela primeira vez desde que o seriado acabou em 2004.

December 31, 1969: 3-year old-Cliff Clayburn is in his bedroom playing with the junior chemistry set he got for Christmas. Downstairs, his parents Ted (Zak Efron) and Carla (Elisha Cuthbert) are hosting a groovy end of the decade party. In mixing some chemicals together, Cliff unwittingly unleashes a ‘Timestorm’ that sucks Carla Clayburn into a wormhole and kills everyone in the house except Cliff.

December 31, 2009: 43-year-old Cliff Clayburn (David Schwimmer) is in the same room (now his study) working on a sophisticated chemistry set… but this time he’s not playing! He has only six months to live and he desperately needs a kidney transplant from a suitable donor (e.g. a sibling – unfortunately, Cliff is an only child and his parents are long gone). So he has turned to science for an answer.

Just before midnight, Cliff joins his wife Kim (Elisha Cuthbert) and baby son to see in the new decade. Kim has been looking through some family photos and remarks on the resemblance between herself and Cliff’s mom, Carla. Cliff can’t see it himself and tells her she’s crazy. Suddenly, there’s a knock at the door. It’s Cliff’s thought-to-be-dead mother, who’s just emerged from the wormhole still thinking it’s 1969 and still a bit stoned.

After a few days of Freudian farce and culture clash comedy, Carla decides she doesn’t like the modern world. She really misses her husband, her hippy friends, the good weed and especially her 3-year-old son.

So she asks Cliff help her back to New Year’s Eve 1969 (*better make that Christmas Eve 1969, so she can take back that first chemistry set). She also suggests that this will also save Cliff’s life as his parents can have more children, giving Cliff all the spare kidneys he could ever want.

What could possibly go wrong?

Desde que foi ao ar nos Estados Unidos o último epidódio do seriado “Friends”, em 2004 , há boatos de que a série ganharia uma versão para as telonas. Tal rumor nunca deixou de existir, os atores nunca negaram um possível reencontro para fazer o filme, mas tudo sempre ficou nesse campo de especulações.

Pois bem, agora parece que a versão cinematográfica vai sair mesmo!!!

Segundo o tablóide britânico Daily Mail, o elenco original que protagonizou a série por dez temporadas se reunirá no mesmo estúdio em que eram gravadas as cenas do seriado. A história do filme estaria de acordo com a idade dos seis amigos após esse espaço de tempo, ou seja, todos com cerca de 40 anos, contando o que aconteceu com suas vidas ao longo desse período. A previsão é de que o filme chegue aos cinemas no verão de 2011 no hemisfério norte.

Friends se consagrou como um dos maiores sucessos da televisão mundial na década de 90, conquistando  milhões de fãs em diversos países. O seriado retratava a vida de um grupo de seis amigos (interpretados por Jennifer Aniston, Coutney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry e David Schwimmer) que vivem em Nova York e que, com suas personalidades únicas, arrancavam risadas constantes do público.

Os criadores de Friends, David Crane e Marta Kauffman, também serão os responsáveis pelo roteiro da adaptação, prevista para chegar às telonas no segundo semestre de 2011.

“O filme definitivamente vai sair. Mantenho contato com a maioria dos atores e eles me disseram que realmente estão interessados na produção”, contou James Michael Tyler, ator que interpretava Gunther, o dono do famoso café Central Perk.

“Este filme poderia reacender a carreira de alguns de maneira estrondosa”, disse uma fonte do filme ao jornal.

ESTRENO PREVISTO EN 2011

Los millones de fans de la serie ‘Friends‘ están de enhorabuena. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry y David Schwimmer podrían volver a reunirse para la adaptación cinematográfica de la telecomedia más exitosa de los últimos años.

Ha sido uno de los secundarios habituales de la serie, James Michael Tyler, el actorque interpretaba a Gunther, el camarero  alvino del Central Perk, quien ha disparado las alarmas al asegurar, de forma tajante, que la película se rodará.

“La película de Friends se hará definitivamente. Todavía sigo en contacto con muchos de los actores y todos dicen que están muy interesados”, afirmó el actor en declaraciones ‘The News of the World’ recogidas por Europa Press.

Desde que el último capítulo de la serie se rodara 2004, los rumores sobre el salto de Mónica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross y Joey a la gran pantalla se han sucedido con cierta regularidad. Pero parece que ahora, espoleados por el tremendo éxito en los cines de Sexo en Nueva York y teniendo en cuenta que las carreras de la mayoría de los protagonistas no logran despegar en el cine –tan solo Jennifer Aniston sabe lo que es el éxito con mayúsculas en los cines– es el momento ideal.

Según revela la publicación británica, los creadores de la serie, David Crane y Marta Kauffman, estarán también detrás de la adaptación cinematográfica y su intención es que vea la luz en las salas de todo el planeta en el verano del 2011.

Se você é fan da série americana de maior sucesso dos últimos anos deve ter ficado empolgado com a noticia não é mesmo ? Afinal foram 10 temporadas de sucesso e um filme era mais que merecido.

Se você viu apenas alguns episódios tenho certeza que gostou também, afinal não tem como não rir e se divertir com Friends, nunca fui nenhuma alucinada pelo seriado mas se estiver passando na TV eu paro sempre para assistir

O motivo para a gravação foi o sucesso da série  Sex and the City que levou quase 100 milhões de pessoas aos cinemas.  Se Sarah Jessica Parker consegue esse feito com suas amigas malucas, imagine Jennifer Aniston e seu divertido grupo de amigos ?

Para se ter uma idéia Friends chegou a ter 52,9 milhões de pessoas assistindo um episodio, que  se chamava The One After the Superbowl e contava com a participação de nada menos que os atores Julia Roberts e Jean-Claude Van Damme. Eu vi esse ,você viu ?
