In the Line of Duty 5: Middle Man, que no original, em cantonês, tem o espetacular título Huang jia shi jie zhi: Zhong jian ren, é uma chinesada de pancadaria e acção a potes com a super estrela Cynthia Khan. E porquê falar do quinto filme da série? Porque não começar pelo primeiro e dar a conhecer a saga toda? Prometo que um dia farei isso, mas para já o único que tenho em VHS bolorento é este e consequentemente é o único sobre o qual posso falar. Middle Man fazia as delícias de qualquer amigo que fosse lá a casa para brincar com uns GI Joe e uns He-Man e Skeletors desmembrados. Volta e meia lá ia isto para a coqueluche de três cabeças e era hora e meia a delirar com o festival de porrada e tiros ao bom estilo de Hong Kong. Cynthia Khan sabia na perfeição como agarrar um espectador que ainda não tinha entrado na puberdade. Onde outras estrelas femininas se despiam, falhando redondamente em agarrar a pequenada ao ecrã, suscitando até bocejos de enfado, Cynthia começa logo desde o primeiro minuto a fazer das suas acrobacias sobre-humanas, suscitando o cair do maxilar inferior nos espectadores. É impossível não ficarem agarrados se eu vos disser que ainda o cronómetro não atingiu os cinco minutos e já Cynthia  cumpriu a seguinte lista de tarefas: arrear num carro (?!) quem nem o Chuck Norris contra um urso; subir paredes como o Homem-Aranha; protagonizar uma luta de artes marciais; entrar numa perseguição automóvel que inclui saltos de camiões em movimento e que culmina com o antagonista a ser atropelado. Isto, senhores, é Cynthia Khan em acção. A partir daqui o filme continua sempre em alta rotação, com muitos tiroteios (bastante gráficos), perseguições automóveis e uma trama internacional de espionagem que culmina no épico duelo entre Cynthia e Kim Penn. Realizado por Chuen-Yee Cha e Chris Lee, conta ainda com David Wu, Lieh Lo, Alvina Kong, Bruce Fontaine, Simon Yam e Billy Chow no papel de General. Um must see das artes marciais e do cinema de acção de Hong Kong.

Just like Carrie of “sex and the city” , Kelly Lin has also this obession with shoes, and at home she has all kinds of expensive pair of shoes, the most expensive pair she has is a pair of alligator shoes worth 3,000 U.S. dollars.However,she has never even for once used it. Kelly Lin compared shoes to men, and she thinks both are important to her, however, she said you can have alot of pairs of good shoes, but one good man, will suffice.

Kelly Lin, thinks that marriage still remains to be her dream. Though work load is full as of the time being, but the “supremecay of love” is still always in her thoughts. She hates narcissistic,self-righteous, conceited and self-adoring men, but also hates men with no self-esteem and sense of pride. She prefers men who doesnt look too gentle, clean but abit sloven/unkempt in his manner of dressing, and if a man does not drink a little, she thinks he would be boring. This afternoon was the Washington County Democrats’ summer fundraiser, the Fiesta in the Park! If I’m not mistaken, it’s likely their second-largest such event, considering the autumn Neuberger Banquet, named in honor of former United States Senator, and true hero of Oregon, Maureen Neuberger.

The crowd was star-studded with elected officials and candidates alike, indicating that we are indeed headed for another round of tough races, even in the primaries. Some of the electeds included state Representatives Tobias Read, Chuck Riley (now a candidate for the State Senate, and his wife, Katie, will be running for his seat in the House), Brian Clem (the half-million-dollar man for governor), Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian, Washington County Commissioner Dick Schouten, Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle, state Senator Suzanne Bonamici, Metro Councilor Rex Burkholder and some others that I’ll remember later and hopefully won’t hold it against me that I left them out.

It was a great event overall, with a cakewalk, taco/fajita bar, wine sale and nice, temperate weather. Congressman David Wu stopped by and took some questions about health care reform, offering pleasant-if-nuanced answers that skirted the details of the eventual bill that we’ll have passed through Congress “by December.” There were some folks raising the issue of single payer, and he responded with some specifics about why that won’t work. Beyond that, he seemed to stick to the few provisions we know will be passed, avoiding the details that may or may not be left behind during negotiations. Former primary challenger Will Hobbs listened respectfully and patiently, the truly great guy that he is.

The most eyebrow-raising bit of info I found out is that both Metro Councilor Rex Burkholder and outgoing 1000 Friends of Oregon Executive Director Bob Stacey (both were in attendance) are planning candidacies for the Metro president’s race.

I hadn’t previously heard much about that race and am very intrigued by the candidacies of both men. I became familiar with Burkholder’s work when I interned in City Hall and have held a great deal of respect for him ever since. Stacey arrived on my limited radar during the Yes on 49 campaign, where 1000 Friends was doing incredible organizing. From then on, I have been very impressed with his continued success at the organization and I think that experience would cross over very well to the ongoing figuring-out-what-the-hell-we-do at Metro.

To be sure, this will be an exciting race with widespread resonance in both Oregon and Washington, as well as around the country. We implemented Metro as a kind of pilot project, and now the model is being studied across the nation as other communities look at regional planning for transportation and land use. This has even garnered some Senate support for such ideas, with Senator Jeff Merkley and his colleagues introducing the Livable Communities Act, which would provide federal funding for such ventures that link issues of housing, land use, transportation, etc. together into broad regional planning. The next Metro president will have a large task ahead.

The picnic was fun and friendly, and hopefully the county party raised some money. I had a great time and am thankful to all the wonderful folks who came out. I had a number of delightful conversations with some delightful people.

Hong Kong – “Pretty Baby” Kelly Lin , finally admitted that she and David Wu had separated ways.

Being in Taiwan and Hong Kong entertainment circle in recent years, despite of being busy with their respective schedules, Kelly and David were initially very optimistic about being together. Even in Kelly’s photobook press conference last year, David Wu obligated himself as host, at that time they denied their situation has already chnaged. Until recently, Kellly Lin was in Hongkong to sign up for new management company “China Star”, after endless rumors of their break up, she admits that their relationship has already ended.

Kelly Linxi Lei said, “time and distance” is their biggest problem, she is busy with her commitments in Hong Kong, while David Wu is inseparable from Taiwan, they often can not meet to nurture their love, and with their communications getting less, they decided to call it off.

Just after breaking up, Kelly and David Wu will still occasionally call, but during the the course of time, they thought their relationship with each other is even getting bad, so they decided to give each other space. But Kelly said, even if she and David are not lovers, their relationship now is still good.

Even if she admitted thier break up, Kelly said she is definitely not ready to jump immediately into another relationship. She has alot of suitors after the break up, including wealthy Hongkong businessmen like Lin Ja Yue, for which she denies any involvement,but admits he is a persistent suitor, that she politely declined.

In order to forget the pains of her break up with David, she rather work hard. She still defended him as a goodman, that she had given up. She was asked if given the chance , would she still choose romance over work, she said she will not consider romance, and said it would just make absolute sense to plan her life first before going into another romantic entanglement.

She will be filming next with many directors, including Wang Jing, for her new film. Many of them would include sexy performances. Kelly said she does not exclude sexy, but insisted no nudity, even in the absence of a boyfriend. Kelly said her Dad & Mom have strict traditions and customs that she has to respect.

Worum es in Die Schneekönigin [ im Original von Hans Christian Andersen] geht wisst ihr bestimmt noch aus Eurer Kindheit ? Wer´s nicht weiss , auch nicht schlimm …ich versuche es mal ganz kurz zusammen zu fassen

Für Gerda und Kay gibts nichts schöneres als zusammen zu spielen …bis Kay von einem Splitter des Zauberspiegels , welcher von einem bösen Zauberer hergestellt wurde der alles Schöne und Gute verzerrte und hässlich aussehen ließ , im Auge getroffen wird und dadurch kaltherzig und gemein wird . Die Schneekönigin entführt ihn und nimmt ihn mit auf ihr Schloss. Gerda begibt sich auf die Suche nach Kay , muss ziemlich vielen Gefahren trotzen , findet Kay dann doch letztendlich und befreit ihn von der Schneekönigin und vom Splitter… So , das war die Kurzfassung

Jetzt zum Film auf SuperRTL ….2003 kam er auf den Mark und ist der Erzählung und der Uhrzeit nach zu urteilen eher ein Film für Erwachsene ….An der Story wurde ein wenig umhergebastelt , so das sie ins Moderne Leben passt … Bridget Fonda spielt die Kalte Lady .. Chelsea Hobbs und Jeremy Guilbaut sind Gerda und Kay. Regie hat bei diesem Stück übrigens ein schon für Fantasy Filme berühmter David Wu geführt .

Was bleibt mir da jetzt noch , als zu sagen …..Lassen wir uns überraschen und gucken erst und urteilen dann
