I read an article (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2006/ 180506davincicode.htm) that complained about the Dan Brown book about the DaVinci Code. The article writer was saying it distracted from the “real” conspiracies going on around us.

Not to belittle the work being done by the “conspiracy buffs” in revealing what is really going on in our world, but the overwhelming public perception is not there. Many can understand a conspiracy in the JFK assassination, a conspiracy in getting us into War in Iraq, a conspiracy in the economic sphere, and even a conspiracy in the influence of the Israeli lobby in America. But most people draw the line at a wider conspiracy entangling the world in its web. Especially a conspiracy by the very rich displayed through the workings of the Bilderbergers, Trilateralists, the CFR, and the mythical group the Illuminati for more than a century.

Conspiracy, to most people, is of short duration and for a specific result. Conspiracies cannot span centuries and involve millions upon millions of co-conspirators.

Enter the DaVinci Code. Suddenly people are being made aware of a conspiracy that spans millenia, not just centuries. And they are learning the countless lies concerning a specific matter of faith, the Saviour of the world. This revelation, although fictional, is based on years of research by a myriad of people in many countries, many faiths, many creeds.

So, as troublesome as the distraction may be to some, I see it as a beginning. If people can read this piece of fiction and become open to the IDEA that a conspiracy can include so many people for so long a period of time, it is a good thing. If even 5% of the readers (or viewers of the film) can come to grips with the expanded view of conspiracies, there is a greater chance of foiling it.

Otherwise, the few of us that DO see it are going to be whistling in the wind… or swinging in the breeze… alone.

Accepted historical fact often turns out to be mere fiction. That’s not only the underlying theme of J. Christoph Amberger’s The Lazarus Smile. But sometimes even modern media remind us of this truth:

Decline and fall: Most of the things that “everybody knows” are wrong. One of them surfaced in Bruce Anderson’s Monday piece: the familiar idea that the fall of the Roman Empire was accompanied, if not caused, by spectacular dissipation on the part of its ruling class. Anderson was arguing that drug prohibition should be relaxed. “The aim of these measures would not be the promotion of universal hippydom: still less, to bring the decadence of the late Roman empire to the streets of south London.”

In fact the familiar monsters of depravity — Caligula, Nero, Domitian, Commodus — ruled the Roman Empire at the height of its power in the first and second centuries. The nonentities who presided over its decline in the fourth and fifth centuries — Honorius, Arcadius, Valentinian III — were Christian gentlemen of comparative personal respectability. No druggies they.

And here is a piece of more recent history. “Hippydom” should be “hippiedom”. They say that if you remember the Sixties you weren’t really there, but I definitely remember the spelling of “hippie”.

in “the davinci code”, dan brown raised an interesting conjugation of the words “holy grail” in latin. if one reads “san greal” it literally translates in to “sainted cup”, or “holy grail”, but if one moves a single letter of the phrase, the meaning undergoes a startling metamorphosis. “sang real” translates to “royal blood”, and with this clue, robert langdon was off on his chase to find the descendant of the virgin mary. most people don’t realize it, but baseball actually predates abner doubleday by thousands of years. the old testament makes 3 specific references to baseball. biblical scholars can confirm that abraham was about to sacrifice isaac (via a bunt?) before god intervened. the second is when rachel brought a pitcher to the well. it did not state whether the pitcher was a starter or reliever, not did it specify lefty or a righty. the 3rd and most quoted reference is what brings us to the title of this chapter.

“in the beginning”, or “in the big inning”. it doesn’t matter which you chose, because in this case, they are one and the same.  i know this because i was there. the ascendancy of the 2009 new york yankees began in the 4th inning of a game between the yankees and the boston red sox on a muggy thursday evening in early august.  some people will say it started when alex rodriguez rejoined the team in may, hit a 3 run homer in his first at bat and started protecting mark teixeira. some say it was when phil hughes was sent to the bullpen and became the 8th inning “bridge” to rivera, and yet others point to the interleague game that the lackluster yanks were playing against the braves when joe gerardi got thrown out and the team caught fire. valid opinions, to be sure, but not “the big inning”. even after winning 8 straight games after the all star break, even though they were in first place at the time, the yankees had been beaten by boston 8 times in a row.  the media could not broadcast this statistic often enough.  zero and 8.  every mention raised the hackles on the necks of yankee fans everywhere.  the thursday game started like the previous 8.  boston scored first, with dustin pedroia, their previous year’s mvp, hit a home run in the top of the 3rd inning.  john smoltz, their “reclamation project”, a multiple cy young winner was on the mound.  ana and i arrived at the stadium late that night, and as we were just picking up our tickets, we heard a massive groan coming from inside the stadium.  this was boston’s next to last shining moment.  the yankees went ahead temporarily in the bottom of the 3rd inning, but victor martinez, the red sox’s newly acquired catcher, hit a home run in the top of the 4th to give boston the lead for the last time that weekend.

in the bottom of the 4th inning, the yankees scored 8 runs and have not looked back since.  they knocked smoltz out of the box so soundly that he was released by the team the next day.  the yankees went on to silence the critics as they not only beat boston, they swept the enemies from the north. as badly beaten as boston was in the first game of the series, the second and third games broke their spirit with a string of 21 scoreless innings and the fourth broke their backs. alex rodriguez who has been (rightfully) criticized as choking in the clutch came through on friday (actually it was saturday morning by then) with a dramatic bottom of the 15th inning home run after josh beckett and a.j. burnett hurled zeros throughout the night. c.c. sabathia turned in a shutout performance on sunday and andy pettitte and the yanks put the final nails in the coffin on monday. the yankees did exactly the same thing to the red sox other winter acquisition, brad penny, when they would play in fenway later that month. penny was released by the team as well. the cursed sox would never recover.

even after the yankees manhandled the red sox, the critics, wringing their hands, still lamented “what about the angels”? the angels had swept the yankees in the final 3 games before the all star break. during their next meeting, however, the yankees took a chapter from the angel’s playbook and beat the angels at their own game. in fact, the yankees took the final 3 out of 4 games they played against the angels, after taking the final 9 out of 10 from the redsox.

the yankees still had some things to accomplish as they continued to amass the best post all star record in the majors. they wanted to have the best record in baseball so as to guarantee home field advantage throughout the playoffs (which they were rapidly approaching, after missing the post season last year for the first time since the strike shortened year of 1994). late in september, they acheived the trifecta of 100 wins, the best record in the majors and clinching the a.l. east (against boston) in their last regular season home game. they headed into the postseason loaded for bear and chomping at the bit. it just wasn’t clear at that point who they would be chomping the bit against. minnesota beat the tigers in a dramatic one game playoff and i think more than a few yankee fans were relieved. the yankees had been trounced by the tigers the last time they competed in the 2006 alds, and minnesota provided a suitable opponent, having been beaten by the yankees often in post season play.

the big question on everyone’s mind was how would a-rod do this time? since game 3 of the 2004 alcs against boston, rodriguez’s bat had been m.i.a. in the post season. everyone thought that we were in for more of the same, when he struck out his first 2 plate appearances in the alds. then, on his third at bat, he woke from a 5 year slumber and put up some of the most amazing clutch hits in recent yankee history. riding on his coattails, the yankees swept minnesota in the alds. the victory in the third and final game was again, somewhat of a “revenge” game , because the yankees beat carl pavano, the “american idle”. pavano had been signed to the yankees for a 4 year, 40 million dollar contract in the before the 2005 season. he spent the vast majority of those 4 years on the disabled list, suffering from one injury after another, until he became both a running joke in the tabloids and a pariah in the clubhouse. the next step was the alcs, which the yankees had not won since the famous aaron boone home run against the red sox in 2003. to everyone’s amazement, the angels swept boston and were heading to new york, where they would face the yankees in their first alcs since the debacle of 2004. a lot of people were disappointed that boston did not advance, as that would have given the yankees revenge for the great meltdown of 2004, and the way the yanks abused the redsox for the second half of the season, that victory would have been extra sweet. until this year, the red sox had done to the angels what the the angels had done to the yankees in the post season…beat them….easily. this year it was different. the sudden death of the angels young pitcher nick adenhart, brought the team together with a laser-like focus and energized the team. they won the american league west with a record almost as good as the yankees. this was to be the acid test and a-rod, along with the other new members of the team passed….with flying colors. the yankees were back in the world series for the first time since 2003 and were favored to win, even though their opponents were the current world champion philadelphia phillies.
the common wisdom is that good pitching will always beat good hitting and once you reach the world series, pitching and defense wins. the yankees played throughout the playoffs the way they had played all year: smart baserunning and a minimum of errors on the field. their opponents, however, did not. teams like the twins and the angels stress baseball basics such as when to try and take an extra base, when to steal and when to force the other team to make plays to get outs. they did not follow these guidelines while playing the yankees in october. they all made amateur-like baserunning gaffes and costly errors on the field. it helped that their leadoff hitters, chone figgins and jimmy rollins respectively, were pretty much invisible during the alcs and world series. our leadoff hitter, derek jeter, only hit over .400 during the championship series and over .350 during the world series, including 3 home runs. jeter only hit 18 homers during the regular season. if you extrapolate that number through the number of games in the regular season, his home run production would have approached a-rods this year! it almost seems that as fantastically as he plays ordinarily, he can turn it up a notch, seemingly at will, when the post season comes around. the “core four” as they have come to be known, jeter, posada, pettitte and rivera were all major contributors for this 27th title, but special mention must be given to rivera. he is the only closer that did not have meltdown this year. all the other closers the yankees faced either blew saves or blew games. mariano rivera is why the yankees are on top where they belong again. we all know how the season ended, but now we know how (and when) it really began.

I am not the biggest Dan Brown fan, so I looked at Amazon.com’s reviews to see if my opinions about his new bestseller The Lost Symbol is off or not. Amazon had 821 people review the book and the average rating was just over 2 stars out of 5. Ouch! But about in line with my opinion of the book.

The Lost Symbol has all the elements that Dan Brown fans like…good suspense, interesting historical tidbits, hidden codes and a negative view of religion. The last is the reason I’m not a big fan of Brown. I read Angels and Demons and then read The DaVinci Code. Reading the two close together not only showed me that the two used the same basic storyline, but that they were very, very anti-Catholic. I didn’t like the one-side portrayals of priests and I’m not even Catholic.

The Lost Symbol brings back Professor Robert Langdon who must once again use his historical knowledge and skill at symbology to save the world. The setting of this novel is in Washington D.C. The villain this time out is not the Knights Templar but the Freemasons. The Lost Symbol will undoubtedly draw some comparisons to National Treasure, which was a movie I enjoyed.

Though Brown is not the best writer out there, he knows how to tell a good story, which is what many readers are looking for.

I don’t know that I really need to give this book much introduction.  It is Dan Brown’s 3rd book all about the adventures of Professor Robert Langdon.  If you aren’t familiar with Dan Brown, he is the best selling (that’s the understatement of the year) author of The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons both of which were made into a movie starring Tom Hanks.

Noe that that’s out of the way, I’ve been given a copy of the The Lost Symbol by the publisher, and since I already own it and have finished it (it’s a great read) I’m going to be giving away the extra copy here.  The contest will be simple.  Make a comment on ANY post (besides this one) in the next two weeks and make sure to mention this contest or the book, and you will be entered to win.  It’s as simple as that, and the more you comment the better your chances are.

Last week I picked up a copy of the Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, it was £7 in Tesco and I thought, hmm, I shall get a copy and see how it goes.

Dan Brown (for the Essex girls that don’t know)  managed to offend the entire Catholic church with the Da Vinci Code when he released it, which was a bit silly as it gave him heaps of publicity.

Deception Point and Angels and Demons are better than the Da Vinci Code in my opinion, but Da Vinci is a character that we all know from our history and lots of people (did I mention the Church?) went out and bought it, some even read it…

The Lost Symbol, well to put it quite bluntly is a recruiting tool for Freemasonry, whether they wanted it or not. He paints them so honourably, in such a positive light that the Masons will have paths beaten down to their doors and their lodges bombarded with applicants – thankfully they don’t let women in so I consider myself very lucky to have escaped the recruitment drive.

Now instead of preparing a defence of what they call “their gentle Craft”, they could well be stockpiling application forms as readers see the society in a kinder, gentler light, because in The Lost Symbol, the Masons are – wait for it – the good guys.

See, am not the only one who thinks it… Ed McCracken does too.

I must be the only person that buys a book to read the story, because I really don’t like the Robert Langdon character and I notice subtle shifts in his attitude in this book, I thought he was becoming rather like Tom Hanks portrayal of Robert Langdon, rather than the man in the first two books.

The book describes waterboarding in some detail. No, I have to admit I didnt understand the how and why of this type of torture before now. If in real life it is a fraction as brutal as it is in the book, then it should be outlawed immediately by the United Nations. I hope someone takes the Government to task if they allowed this in UK airspace. It’s barbaric and … well words do not describe what anger I feel that one human being feels that they can do this to another. So perhaps something good will come from the Lost Symbol after all.

Noetic Science is now bought into the public consciousness and no doubt a trillion google searches on it have now been carried out. Now I happen to believe that science and religion are highly compatible, some of the best scientists have had a strong belief in God and Noetics seems to be a science form that supports this. Who knows for sure? on this, only time will tell.

2.5 out of ten for actual storyline as it was wholly predictable with the exception of the waterboarding part, that wasn’t predictable at all.

If someone has a copy and you fancy reading it, it’s worth a borrow. Or wait until it’s filmed maybe the Hollywood scriptwriters will give it the zest it needs

I took a detour from my Pulitzer project and read The Lost Symbol.  Well.  Or as Olive Kitteridge would say, “Goodness.”  What a wild ride over less than 24 hours.  That’s the story’s timeframe, but of course, it took me a week to read the book.  I was somewhat surprised at the ending although I shouldn’t have been considering The DaVinci Code’s message.  Not that they were the same message, but it just seems Mr. Brown likes to use his novels as a method of getting some belief or philosophy he holds across.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that.  Lots of writers do that.  Maybe he’s just putting it out there for us to grab hold of and think about.  I rejected what I considered his message – as in a sermon message – in The DaVinci Code, but this one in The Lost Symbol I’ll have to give some thought to – or rather further thought.  I know one thing–I will never see Washington D.C. in the same way again.  And I’m eager to go back and take my time looking more closely at some of the buildings and art.  I’ll also be interested in seeing what chatter is going on about the book.

I’m glad I read the book, but I’m just as glad to be getting back to the sanity of Olive Kitteridge.  She’s quite a character.  I’ve disliked her and loved her and felt great pity for her.  My favorite chapter/story so far is “A Different Road”.  I laughed and cried and had such pity for Mrs. Kitteridge in this chapter.

I haven’t decided what my next PPW is going to be.  I now have a stack of 8.

Oh – I just realized I’ve been spelling Pulitzer wrong – me who prides myself on my spelling has spelled that word wrong everywhere I’ve written it.  Yes, I saw the wavy red line under my rendition of the word, but I thought the computer was wrong….  so now I must try to fix my mistakes.

It has rained every day for a week now which makes for good reading but soggy everything else.  Hopefully we’ll get some sun soon.  This is a nice time of year to sit outside and read so I hope it doesn’t rain for the rest of the fall!

25 TOP QUESTIONS ABOUT FREEMASONRY

1) Is Freemasonry A Christian Organization?

“If Freemasonry were simply a Christian institution, the Jew and the Moslem, the Brahman and Buddhist, could not conscientiously partake of its illumination.” [Albert Mackey, Encyclopedia of Freemasonry", p. 182, 33rd Degree Mason.] We find it highly instructive that Mackey boldly admits to Masonic Adepts that Freemasonry is NOT Christian! Of course, at the time Mackey wrote his book, it was secret, available only to Adept Masons. Had Mackey ever thought that this book would have become available to the public, he would not have been so bold.

2) Is Freemasonry Christian?

“Freemasonry is not Christian, nor a substitute for it.” [C.F. McQuaig, My Masonic Friend, p. 1]

Once again, we see that, by their own admission, Freemasonry is NOT Christian! The only instance where we hear that it is Christian is from the Masonic Propaganda Division, and by those poor Masons who have been deliberately deceived by their own Superiors.

This exercise is not an empty one, for your eternal, precious soul is at stake. Finally, remember two things about Masonry: 1) Superior Masons deliberately lie to their fellow Masons, as those Masons “deserve to be mislead”; 2) Explanations given to 95% of all Masons are wrong. Listen to this quote from a Masonic author, Carl Claudy: “Cut through the outer shell and find a meaning; cut through that meaning and find another; under it, if you dig deep enough, you may find a third, a fourth — who shall say how many teachings?” You have been lied to, as we demonstrate in our many articles. Finally, remember Albert Pike’s bold assertion in Morals & Dogma, that “Masonry is identical to the ancient Mysteries “, which means that all their teachings in all their books are precisely the same as the Ancient, Pagan, Satanic Mysteries!

3) The King James Version of the Bible is on the altars at Masonic Lodges. Isn’t this proof that Masonry is based upon the Bible?

“Masonry has nothing to do with the Bible; it is not founded upon the Bible, for if it were, it would not be Masonry, it would be something else.” [TheDigest of Masonic Law, p. 207-209] Now we see a Masonic author admitting that Freemasonry is NOT based upon the Bible! Therefore, not only is Masonry NOTChristian, it is even NOT Judeo-Christian! These revelations just keep on coming, do they not?

4) But what about God?

“Humanity, ‘in-toto’, then, is the only Personal God.” [J.D. Buck, Mystic Masonry , p. 136, 32nd Degree]As any good occultist, Freemasonry believes the lie Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden, “You shall be as God”. 5) So, then, Masonry is not based on the Bible, not its Christian principles; then, the Masonic Lodges are not teaching religion, correct?

“Every Masonic Lodge is a temple of religion, and its teachings are instruction in religion”. [Albert Pike,Morals and Dogma , p. 213. Pike was a 33rd Degree Mason, Head of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction] Pike’s revelation here, at the 13th Degree, that Masonry teaches religion, is a perfect example of the deliberate lying policy of Freemasonry. At the 10th Degree, Pike states that “Masonry is not a religion”. Then, at the 13th Degree, the Mason is told that this statement was false, and that Masonry IS a religion. Then, whenever a person not a Mason makes the charge that Masonry is a religion, they are then quoted Pike at the 10th Degree denying it, and are never told that Pike reverses himself at the 13th Degree to admit that Masonry IS a religion. Truly, Freemasonry is a series of long hallways of smoke and mirrors, designed to lead all but a handful of Masons astray, and to deceive 100% of all Non-Masons. No organization that engages in deliberate lying can call itself Christian.

6) Since Masonic Lodges are religious temples, what are they searching for since they do not worship Jesus Christ?

“Freemasonry is a search for Light. That search leads us directly back, as you see, to the Kabalah.” [Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma , p. 741, Pike was a 33rd Degree Mason, Head of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction]

7) But isn’t the Kabalah a religion?

“All truly dogmatic religions have issued from the Kabalah and return to it; everything scientific and grand in the religious dreams of the Illuminati … all the Masonic associations owe to it their Secrets and their symbols.” [Pike, Morals and Dogma ] We wish to warn all our Jewish friends who are caught up in the revival of Kabalah study, they are believing in the very Satanic counterfeit to the Torah and other Old Testament books of the Bible that the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus’ day were practicing. Did you know that the major reason the Pharisees and Sadducees plotted to murder Jesus, in spite of His obvious supernatural power, was because they were practicing the witchcraft of the Kabalah? 8) So, then, if the Kabalah is an ancient practice found within the occult world, are the symbols, words, and other Masonic expressions found within the occult?

“In modern witch rites, we find terms and expressions that are also used in Masonry, the Golden Dawn, and other such occult societies.” [Arnold and Patricia Crowther, The Secrets of Ancient Witchcraft, p. 22]

Once again, we see the instance where Freemasonry is loved by all the wrong people: Witches, Satanists, Illuminists, demonically possessed New Age authors, and demonically possessed leaders of other secret societies. Since “Birds of a Feather Flock Together”, this fact is one very important and concrete evidence that Freemasonry is just as Satanic as these other organizations admit openly they are! Keep this fact in mind as you read the facts presented, below.

9) So if Masonry is pushing the occult religions, surely many members must come from occult sources and backgrounds .

They certainly do! We have listed examples, below, of known Satanists and/or Occultists who were also Freemasons in good standing. Do not be deceived by any Masonic Propaganda that says these people were “rogue Masons”; on the contrary, they were Masons in good standing throughout their lives. In fact, what these occultists who were also Masons represent are the very few Illuminated Masons who had gone all the way to the “Light”, to discover what the final great secret of Masonry truly is, i.e., dedicated Satanists working to achieve the New World Order of Antichrist.

a) Arthur Edward Waite, occult writer and historian – In free12 and free13 , we quote Waite continuously, noting that his books are always published by a known and established Masonic publishing house.

b) Dr. Wynn Westcott — member of the Rosicrucian Society and founding member of the occult Order of the Golden Dawn . The Order of the Golden Dawn is one of the most Satanic of secret societies, and is highly active in the establishment of the coming New World Order of Antichrist. Don’t you find it extremely “illuminating” that its founder is also a Mason?

c) S. L. MacGregor Mathers — co-founder of the occult Order of the Golden Dawn – Thus, we see that both founders of this Satanic secret society were Freemasons.

d) Dr. Gerard Encausse — member of the Illuminati and leader of the occult group known as ‘Martinism’. According to Albert Mackey, a 33rd Degree Mason, “The degrees of Martinism abounded in the reveries (pleasures) of the Mystics.” [Albert Mackey, Encyclopedia of Masonry", p. 552] The “pleasures” of the Mystics is a euphemism for sex. We have already noted that Freemasonry utilizes the symbolism of sex in their circle with a dot [free13for full details]. In free07 , we also note the sexual symbolism inherent in their writings. Freemasons “worship the creature rather than the Creator” just as much as do any of the pagan groups in world history. Again, this fact is one of the reasons they insist upon absolute secrecy, rightly fearing public scrutiny.

e) Aleister Crowley — infamous Satanist who founded the occult religion of Thelema. So debased and foul was he, that his contemporaries referred to him as ‘Mr. 666′, and his mother referred to him as ‘The Beast’ of the Book of Revelation. 
While Crowley did not found the Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.], he did control the organization for many years. The O.T.O. is an extremely Black Magick secret society, very Satanic.

f) Dr. Theodore Reuss — Head of the occult order known as the O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis). He was such a prolific occult writer that he gave Aleister Crowley the reigns of authority of the O.T.O. in London.This is an official logo of the O.T.O., taken off the web. You are looking into the black abyss of Hell in this drawing. This apparently is the entrance into Hell, with the Masonic-type columns on each side and the typically Masonic/occultic winged symbol above. Two All-seeing Eyes oversee all who enter its gates. Freemasonry is “identical with the Mysteries”, says Albert Pike; therefore, this scene of the Gates of Hell ISFreemasonry.

g) George Pickingill — renowned master witch of 19th Century England and leader of the ‘Pinkingill coven’ .

h) Manly P. Hall — a Rosicrucian, Masonic author, and founder of the Philosophical Research Society . Hall was world renowned as a Freemason, and one of its most prolific writers. It was he who said that Fellow Craft Masons can expect to have the “seething energies of Lucifer in your hands” once he understands the deep secrets of the Craft. His books were published by prestigious Masonic Publishing companies. Since Hall was simultaneously a Rosicrucian and a Freemason, we wish to show you theRosicrucian Cross , so you can see the terrible blasphemies of Freemasonry. Please closely observe how they have covered our precious Cross of Calvary with the deepest, most wicked, symbols of Satan! You can see four (4) upright pentagrams, representing Lucifer and covering each of the four points of the cross; then, you can see a hexagram just below the center, on the downward arm of the cross, probably designed to cast a “HEX” on our Savior’s cross! Folks, this is the true nature of Freemasonry. Masonry reveres Rosicrucianism so very highly, they have an order dedicated to it, called, “Knight of the Rosy Croix”, the 18th Degree! i) Gerald B. Gardner — founder of the modern revival of Wicca, who had a style of witchcraft named after him known as the ‘Gardnerian Style of Witchcraft’.

j) Alex Sanders — known as the “King of all Witches” in London, he was one of the most influential witches after Gardner. He also had a style of witchcraft named after him called, “Alexanderian Witchcraft”.

k) Eliphas Levi — one of the most occult writers of the 19th Century . Doc really understates the case here. Levi was known as “the foremost occult authority of the 19th century”. [Nuit Unlimited Imports, a New Age importer of witchcraft memorabilia] Levi created the extremely obscene image of Baphomet to represent Satan. “Levi’s drawing of Baphomet shows his emphasis on sex, for he made Baphomet as an androgynous [both male-female] figure. Satan, like Baphomet, is often pictured as a hermaphroditic deity, having a male phallus and the breasts of a woman. The winged staff between Baphomet represents the phallus … In a book on witchcraft,The Complete Book of Witchcraft and Demonology, we find a picture of Baphomet. The caption states that he is the ‘horned god of the witches, sex incarnate’. This picture … shows Baphomet making the Devil’s triad with his right hand.” [Dr. Burns, Masonic and Occult Symbols Illustrated ]

Levi’s Guiding Spirit took him to levels of an understanding of witchcraft that few men in history have ever experienced. His illustrations are considered unequalled in the occult world, and he was not only contemporary with Albert Pike, he was very influential on Pike. [Arthur Edward Waite, Some Deeper Aspects of Masonic Symbolism, Kila, Montana, reprinted by Kessinger Freemasonry Publishing Co.] Arthur Waite said of Levi, “… undoubtedly one of the most distinguished of the Continental exponents of occult science which the 19th Century produced, and his writings attain an important position in the estimation of modern schools of higher magic.” [Waite, quoted in Levi's book, The History of Magic, in Kessinger's Catalog, attempting to influence you to buy Levi's book]

Albert Pike (33rd Degree Mason, Grand Commander of the Southern Jurisdiction) was, therefore, undoubtedly influenced by Levi in his views on Lucifer. We have already quoted Pike in Morals and Dogma (p. 567, 28th Degree) where he identifies Lucifer as the Light-bearer of Freemasonry, the “Light” to whom all Masons pledge to work toward. Listen to Levi talk about Lucifer. “XXXVIII: What is more absurd and more impious than to attribute the name of Lucifer to the devil, that is, to personified evil. The intellectual Lucifer is the spirit of intelligence and love; it is the paraclete [an advocate]; it is the Holy Spirit, where the physical Lucifer is the great angel of universal magnetism.” [Eliphas Levi, The Mysteries of Magic, ADigest of the Writings of Eliphas Levi]

THE MEN AND WOMEN OF CO-MASONRY

Most Freemasons are shocked to disbelief when they are told that women can become full-fledged Freemasons, as they have been led to believe that only men can become Masons. However, a dirty little secret is that women can become Co-Masons, joining as full-fledged members, usually along with their husbands. You can see the two symbols for Co-Masonry I have discovered, along with Elizabeth Aldworth and a general picture of women in their Masonic regalia. Co-Masonry has produced some really important leaders in the New World Order movement. Listen as Doc Marquis explains:

Contrary to popular belief, females can, and have, become members of the Masons. In Albert Mackey’s book, Encyclopedia of Masonry, (p. 307) there is a law of Masonry that is known as The Law of Salique. It states that females cannot become Masons; but there were, nevertheless, female members in the past. Some examples are:

a) The honorable Mrs. Aldsworth – [pictured above] — around 1735, she received the first and second degree in Lodge #44 at Doneraile, Ireland.

b) Mrs.. Beaton – she was a resident who received her initiation in Norfolk, England.

c) Madam de Xaintrailles – initiated into a French Lodge during the end of the last century

d) Elizabeth St. Leger – initiated in 1710 at the age of 17.

e) Countess Barkoczy of Hungary , was initiated into the Hungarian Lodge of Freemasonry

11. Like many of the male members, are there any examples in which female occultists were also Masons? Yes!

a) Madame Helena Petrovna Blavatsky , founder of the occult Theosophical Society, was initiated into the Masons during the early part of last century. Once again, Marquis underplays the significance of the facts. Blavatsky was the founder of one of the most deeply Satanic secret society on earth! People who learned Satanism from her included Adolf Hitler and some of his men, and Lenin with some of his Communist leaders. Hitler, particularly, found Blavatsky’s teachings to be crucial to his Satanic doctrines, especially her treatise, Secret Doctrine. Hitler’s Holocaust occurred in large part because of Blavatsky’s teachings! Yet, here we see that she was a member of the Freemasons.

b) Annie Besant – leader of this deeply Satanic Theosophical Society.

c) Alice A. Bailey – Succeeding Besant as the leader of the House of Theosophy, Alice and her husband Foster [32 Degree Mason] were members of Co-Masonry. Alice founded the publishing company, Lucifer Trust, for the express purpose of printing the flood of New Age books about to come into being. After learning that too many people were objecting to the bold name of Lucifer, Alice changed the name toLucis Trust .

12) Assuming, then, that many Masonic members are interested in, or into, the occult, what are the true religious doctrines of the Masons?

“That which we must say to the crowd is: ‘We worship a god, but it is the god one adores without superstition.’ To you , Sovereign Grand Instructors General [a 33rd Degree Mason], we say this … you may repeat it to the Brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th Degrees … The Masonic religion should be, by all of the initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine … Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay [God of the Holy Bible] is also God … the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure philosophic religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God of Light, God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of Darkness and Evil.” [Lady Queenborough, Occult Theocracy , p. 220-221, quoting a letter from Albert Pike to the 23 Supreme Councils of the World on July 14, 1889]

Freemasonry has counter-attacked this letter, claiming it is bogus. However, they must answer the fact that this worship of Lucifer is also written in Pike’s two monumental books, Morals and Dogma, andMagnum Opus. Every thing contained in this letter is also contained in these two books, and we havethem at this office.

Finally, history does not record that Freemasonry ever sued Lady Queenborough for libel and slander. Surely, since the letter is so damning, Freemasonry would have gone to all lengths to clear their name, even to the point of suing. Their absolute lack of such action speaks volumes as to the truth of Lady Queenborough’s claim that this letter from Pike is genuine.

13) Now wait a minute! Are you saying that the ‘light’, for which Masonry is looking, is found with Lucifer?

“LUCIFER, the Light-Bearer .. Is it he who bears the Light? Doubt it not!” [Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma , p. 321.; Emphasis in the original]

14) Hold it! Isn’t Lucifer, or Satan, the black god? The evil one?

“The true name of Satan, the Kabalists say, is Yahweh (GOD) reversed; for Satan is not a black god, but a negation of God. For Initiates, this is not a Person, but a Force …” [Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma , p. 102] Pike’s statement in the letter, quoted in paragraph 12, above, defines pure Satanism. They believe God and Lucifer are equal Gods, were competitors in the Garden of Eden, with Adonay God of the Holy Bible getting “temporary” victory. But, occultists believe that, at the Battle of Armageddon, God Lucifer will overthrow God Adonay and claim his rightful throne in Heaven. All Luciferians, including the Illuminati, believe this with their whole heart. God Adonay is the cruel God, as demonstrated by all the times He ordered the Israelites in the Old Testament to slaughter entire populations of people for the only sin of worshipping Lucifer, His adversary; Lucifer, on the other hand, has no such slaughter on His record, and is considered to be the Good God.

Furthermore, calling Lucifer or Satan, a Force instead of a Person, Pike fulfills Biblical prophecy for Antichrist. In Daniel 11:38, God gives this prophecy. “But in his estate shall he honour the God offorces:” Neither Albert Pike, nor any other Luciferian, will ever know they just fulfilled Bible prophecy for the forces of Antichrist. However, as we point out in free01, “Teachings About Jesus Christ”, their doctrine of Jesus also fulfills the Biblical definition of Antichrist exactly.

15) Is Satan, then, perceived to be God, the source of Light?

“To conceive of God … the Kabala imagined Him to be a ‘most occult light’.” [Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma, p. 740]

16) Since the Masonic religion is a “front” for the religion of the Illuminati, is the Masonic “light” the “light” of the Illuminati ?

“The result is light or illumination. Such are the Illuminati.” [J.D. Buck, 32nd Degree Mason, Mystic Masonry , Introduction, p. xl.] Once again, we see Freemasonry convicted of being Luciferian by the words of their own authors. It is really too bad that over 95% of all Freemasons do not take the time to read the very books we, and other Christian authors, have read. Such doubting Masons have not done one iota as much research as we, and yet, they choose to believe their lying Superiors.

17) Isn’t the Masonic candidate told the full truth of Freemasonry’s religion and god when they enter the Blue Lodge, where they receive their first three degrees?

“The Blue Degrees (the Blue Lodge degrees) are but the outer court or portico of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed there to the Initiate, but he isintentionally mislead by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine he understand them .” [Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma, p. 819; Emphasis added]

All Freemasons need to read and re-read this very illuminating paragraph. Pike has just boldly told his 30th Degree Adepts that they are to be free tointentionally mislead lower ranking Masons. Such poor slobs are to imagine that they understand the symbols of Freemasonry! Such bold-face lying comes from the Evil One, Satan, not the Holy God of the Bible!

18) Who, then, is allowed to know the truth, and what is really going on in Masonry?

“We must create a super rite, which will remain unknown, to which we will call those Masons of high degree (30th and above), whom we shall select. With regards to our brothers in Masonry, these men must be pledged to the strictest secrecy. Through this supreme rite, we will govern all Freemasonry which will become the one international center, the more powerful, because its direction will be unknown.” [Letter, dated 1/22/1870, from Pike to the Head of the Order of the Illuminati, Guiseppe Mazzini]

19) Are you saying that the “outside” of Masonry is only for “show”, and that there is something else behind it?

“It is this which has served as the basis for our organisation of SECRET MASONRY WHICH IS NOT KNOWN TO, AND AIMS WHICH ARE NOT EVEN SO MUCH AS SUSPECTED BY, THESE … CATTLE, ATTRACTED BY US INTO THE SHOW ARMY OF MASONIC LODGES IN ORDER TO THROW DUST IN THE EYES OF THEIR FELLOWS … masonry blindly serves as a screen for us and our objects, but the plan of action of our force, even its very abiding-place,remains for the whole people an unknown mystery.” [Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, capitalization in the original, but color emphasis added]

The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion is the most blatantly Satanic document in world history! They systematically list all the steps that are necessary to establish their New World Order and its superman, Antichrist. For the Protocols to boldly state that Freemasonry is a blind screen for the Illuminati, is damning. Once again, we see their belief, stated by Pike above, that a super rite that is totally unknown, will promote the interests of the Illuminati powerfully. Freemasonry itself is being used as a “blind screen” by the Illuminati, to bring in the New World Order.

20) Then if Masonry is only “Show” on the outside, what are they trying to “screen” on the inside?

“SECRET SOCIETIES — Meantime, however, until we come into our kingdom, we shall act in the contrary way: we shall create and multiply free Masonic lodges in all the countries of the world, absorb into them all who may become or who are prominent in public activity, for these lodges we shall find our principal intelligence office and means of influence. All these lodges … will be composed of our learned elders. The lodges will have their representatives who will serve to screen the above-mentioned administration of MASONRY and from whom will issue the watchword and program … The most secret plots will be known to us and will fall under our guiding hands on the very day of their conception.” [Protocols of theLearned Elders of Zion , capitalization in the original]

21) Hasn’t anyone ever tried to warn people about the Masonic/Illuminati connection and their activities before?

Yes! Many people have tried, but few people were ever listening. All of the following warnings came from individuals who were high ranking political figures, scholars, writers, and religious leaders. These people were not “sensationalists”, nor were they “doomsday” people. They were all highly qualified, and praised, individuals of their fields.

a) President George Washington , 1785, in a letter written to the Reverend G. W. Snyder: “Reverend, Sir, it was not my intention to doubt that the doctrine of the Illuminati — the principles of Jacobinism — had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more satisfied of this fact than I am.” Shortly before he died, President Washington was well aware that the Adam Weishaupt radical brand of Freemasonry, the Illuminati, had spread its poison to America.

b) In 1797, Professor John Robison warned Masonic leaders that the Illuminati had infiltrated their lodges.

c) Reverend Jebediah Morse (father of Samuel Morse) preached in 1798: “The Order (of the Illuminati) has its branches established and its emissaries at work in America.”

d) Dr. David Pappen, President of Harvard University , on July 19, 1798, issued a warning to the graduating class and lectured them on the influence the Illuminati was having on American politics and religion.

e) John Quincy Adams , in 1800, opposed Thomas Jefferson for the presidency and wrote three letters to Colonel William L. Stone, exposing how Jefferson was using Masonic Lodges for subversive Illuminati purposes. The information contained in those letters is credited with winning Adams the election. The letters were held in the Rittenburg Square Library, in Philadelphia.

f) Dr. Joseph Willard, President of Harvard University , said on July 4, 1812, to the graduating class: “There is sufficient evidence that a number of societies of the Illuminati have been established in this land. They are doubtless striving to secretly undermine all our ancient institutions, civil and sacred. These societies are clearly leagued with those of the same order in Europe … We live in an alarming period. The Enemies of all order are seeking our ruin. Should infidelity generally prevail, our independence would fall, of course. Our republican government would be annihilated.”

We live in the final time Harvard President Willard feared; the enemies of our freedoms are perilously close to achieving their plan. When qualified people like this could see the conspiracy to destroy our country and our freedoms, why do so many Americans now disbelieve?

g) The Prime Minister of England, Sir Winston Churchill, said in 1920, three years after the Bolsheviks seized Russia: “From the days of Spartacus/Weishaupt to those of Karl Marx, to those of Trotsky … this world-wide conspiracy … has been steadily growing. This conspiracy played a definitely recognizable role in the tragedy of the French Revolution . It has been the mainspring of every subversive movement during the 19th century; and now, at last, this band of extraordinary personalities from the underworld of the great cities of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their heads, and have become practically the undisputed masters of that enormous empire.”

In Seminar 2, “America Determines The Flow of History”, we spend a lot of time demonstrating that the Illuminati created Communism; further, we show the theory under which the Plan for the New World Order is operating that would necessitate the deliberate creation of Communism. However, we are shocked to hear this quote, for Winston Churchill told the world that Illuminati created Communism all the way back in 1920!

h) Famous historian, English author Nesta Webster, in her book, World Revolution, published in the 1920’s, [p. 78], said: “Whilst these events (early stages of the French Revolution of 1789) were taking place in Europe, the New World (America) had been Illuminized. As early as 1786, a Lodge of the Order (Illuminati) had been started in Virginia, and this was followed by fourteen others in different cities.”

i) The Report of the California Senate Investigating Committee on Education , stated in 1953: “So-called modern Communism is apparently the same hypocritical and deadly world conspiracy to destroy civilization that was founded by the Secret Order of the Illuminati in Bavaria on May 1, 1776, and that raised its hoary head in our colonies here at the critical period before the adoption of our Federal Constitution.”

This statement is unbelievable, not for its content, but for its source — the California Senate on Education! I am constantly amazed at how the knowledge of one generation can be buried by succeeding generations. Truly, every generation must earn its own freedoms.

22) When did the Masons become a part of the Illuminati?

“On July 16, 1782, at the infamous Congress of Wilhelmsbad, near the city of Hanau in Hesse-Cassel. It was initiated by Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick, Grand Master of the Order of Strict Observance.” [Albert Mackey, Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, p. 1006.

23) What happened at this meeting?

Dr. Adam Weishaupt, and his right-hand man, Baron Adolf Von Knigge (both of whom were Masons at the time), attended the Congress of Wilhelmsbad; they had met with the representatives from the 23 Supreme Councils of the Masonic world and convinced them, after 30 sessions, to follow the Illuminati’s 7-part Plan to the Creation of a New World Order.

24) How did they do this?

At the end of the 30 council meetings, the representatives of the Masonic world signed a blood contract, vowing that they would follow the Illuminati’s 7-part Plan to the Creation of a New World Order.

25) Don’t Any of the Masons know about these facts?

For the most part, no. About 95% of all Masons haven’t a clue as to what is really going on in their own lodges. Only 30th Degree Masons and above may be allowed to know these secrets. Of those Masons who are 30th and above, only 5% of them know the full truth, because they have already been initiated into the Illuminati. Most of the time, an Illuminist will enter into the ranks of Masonry simply to continue the infiltration process. Eventually, this Illuminist will become one of the high ranking Masons and will, therefore, be able to better control the Masonic world because of his degree and power.

If you are part of the 95+ of all Freemasons who are doomed to remain in the dark as to the true nature of your Lodge, you now have been exposed to the truth. As God observed the masons building the tower of Babel He made a powerful declaration: “…and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” And we know what these men purposed to do, they were determined to build a tower so great that it reached the throne of God Himself in heaven so that mankind could make a name for themselves. The prophecies of Revelation chapter 13 tells us a mighty nation will one day accomplish the purpose of the tower of Babel, and thus usher in a new world confederacy during the latter days:

Dear joeland,

About a month ago, I wrote you a note letting you know, that I would never adhere to your way of thinking with reguards to pre-rapture, that I believed more or less in the concept as stated in the left behind series, and that I would never change my mind. Well, I have! I am writing to let you know that. Often times we write in blogs either denouncing or agreeing with the topic, but I write to tell you I believe I mispoke and I admit it.

I am currently reading the Origin of Futurism and Preterism by rev. Charles Jennings, but conicidentally, (or devinely, to be more accurate), prior to hearing his message on tv, I had been watching the catholic channel, I check them all out as a learning tool, when suddenly all of the images of the rituals and idolitry they delve in jolted me to reality, wow, we do have it all wrong. I do believe now that the sign will not be numbers, but ashes that are even currently placed on the forhead or on the hand, as some opt to do. What Rev. Jennings spoke about makes much more sense than the timeline of the pre-rap sequence. It fits. And he also explained, biblically, how the word of God was twisted and manipulated to put the focus out of them (roman catholic and papal dynasty) as the anti christ movement, and more into a futeristic anti-christ as an individual person, and it was perpetuated by the jesuits Ribera and Bossuet and others. That is when the God head became man (the pope) through their own manipulation and elimination of Gods word which is also biblically prophesied and scriptually founded to be so.

I will continue to learn more and to inform others to be aware, and I thank you and just wanted to let you know that I admit when I am wrong. May God continue to bless you, yours, and your ministry..

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol comes out tomorrow, and I, for one, will not be standing in line to purchase a copy. I actually read his previous two Langdon stories in the correct sequence — Angels and Demons then The DaVinci Code — and what immediately struck me was their similarity of plot and lack of historical veracity. Perhaps as a sometime writer who has had difficulty finding publishers I am just jealous, but the stories to me seem to draw on tired theories of some great conspiracy in antiquity that involved Jesus and Mary Magdalene eloping to France after the crucifixion where they happily raised a family only to be forgotten by history while he was off becoming a deity some thousands of miles away.

I read an interview with Dan Brown about his new book in which he confesses that he’s not a believer in conspiracy theories. To me some of the Area 51 stories sound more convincing than the trite material from Holy Blood, Holy Grail that has been recycled into a fictitious field of academics — symbology — and given a fake pedigree by placing Langdon at Harvard. I was in college when Holy Blood, Holy Grail came out and my literature prof told our class that the work was revolutionary and would restructure modern society. The only restructuring I’ve seen is the planet tipping a little towards Brown’s bank account trying to readjust to all the cash rushing in.

Perhaps my real frustration is with the fact that the ancient world is already fascinating without requiring fictionalization, yet those who actually do know something about it experience difficult times finding non-fictional university posts. Meanwhile average citizens will swirl around bookstores like the insects in an Indiana Jones movie waiting to purchase a copy of a book that fictitiously recreates that ancient world. If Harris tweeds are as miraculous as they seem to be in Brown’s books, maybe I should click my elbows together and say three times, “There’s no place like Rutgers” and I’ll end up in a fulltime professor of Symbology instead of teaching Ancient Near Eastern Religions as a mere adjunct tonight.

This may be surprising, but I can get talkative when I’m drunk.  I know, right! 

What this means is that I theorize and pontificate, and generally make an ass of myself.

But sometimes ideas occur to me that are worth remembering…

For example, one idea I had was how people are a lot like cogs.  Some people are big cogs and others are small cogs.  And they spin at different rates to keep up with each other or because of each other.  Some of them don’t touch but are rotating due to a shared gear.  Okay, there was a whole lot more that went into this, but you get the idea.  I rambled on and on for awhile (remember: druh-unk), and it seems to be happening again.  Moving on…

Another thought that entered my noggin was the notion of truth bombs, and how I wish you could drop them on anyone and everyone to let the other person know where you stand in your thoughts about them.

I was reminded of two movies that used truth bombs: For Love of the Game and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. 

In For Love, Kelly Preston’s character tells Kevin Costner’s character that she wishes people could carry around chalkboards on which they could write what they were thinking.  He asks her what she would write, and she writes on a napkin, “Yes.”  Then they do it.  Well, it goes down something like that, but that example is not really what I’m hoping to convey.

In Eternal Sunshine, at its finale (SPOILER ALERT!), Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet confess all their faults to each other before trying to get back together after wiping their memories.  Yeah, that’s a little closer, but I digress.

I thought this concept was pretty original, but then I uncovered the definition for truth bomb in the Urban Dictionary:

(noun) A fact or piece of knowledge that, when told to a listener, is devastating to the listener’s argument or world view.

“Dude, I dropped a truth bomb on my priest at confession yesterday. I slipped him The DaVinci Code, which disproves his whole religion!”
Tupac dropped truth bombs on the American people, letting them know what it’s like to live in the ‘hood.

So… so much for all that. 

How about a Hooter’s waitress performing the infamous rodeo barstool trick to wipe the memories of this post (you hold up a napkin with the word “Yes” on it).  My cog just spun yours, and you’re welcome:

(SIDE NOTE: Why is everyone at the news station just going along with this?  And in the morning?  And as a reminder about something called “Wings for Kids”?  And did you see the guy in burgundy in the background trying to watch without getting caught watching?  And… just… why?)

I made an effort towards this but there were enough uncertainties that I abandoned the effort.

Cryptex is a Dan Brownism and at talk at a museum in 2005, Jim Sanborn alludes to some similarities to his Kryptos statue.  After reading the following excerpt you’ll see why it’s very tempting and see why it’s worth the effort to pursue.

“And if you actually take the Kryptos sculpture and you turn it onto itself and wrap it into a circle it makes this cylinder with text that goes all the way around it.  Now an encoding decoding machine, you can take these lines of text and rotate them and align various lines of text up with decoded text and encoded text, and you can actually crack codes with these kinds of machine.  Well this object that I have since been commissioned to put in various universities around the country, and there are actually two large pieces at the entrance to the convention center just inside the doors there.  These cylinders I call projection cylinders, and you know, my sculptures called Kryptos, and in the Da Vinci Code this little machine that’s the cylindrical decoding machine is called Cryptex.  So that’s very close, so I sink a little deeper in the couch.  So anyway, so there is some relationship to the Da Vinci Code, which will be, I suppose, more clearly delineated when the new book comes out.  But I’ll tell you there are many books now being sold on the Internet.  There’s a new book down at Barnes and Noble — speculative inquiries into the next Dan Brown book after the Da Vinci Code, and Kryptos is either on the cover of some of those books or its buried in the book some — buried into these books.  And it shows that there is some relationship here, all of which sort of accidentally happened to my Kryptos sculpture.  Now how do I feel about it?  Well, I feel it just may be a little bit like – like Dorothy when the Wizard of Oz with Toto out there walking out there along the planes in Nebraska – a tornado comes along and pulls her into this giant fantasy world, and she goes down a tunnel.  Well, that’s all very interesting.  It isn’t necessarily my work, but  I can’t say that I really despise the extra publicity.”

I really wanted the cryptex setup to work out, it didn’t but I think the discovery of this transcript is the real find.  I’d like to thank Gary Phillips for passing me the link.  The context of the quote definitely gives some tangible concepts to work with and that’s rare in Kryptos.

Now I step onto my soap-box…

I have a hard time wading through the overt gnosticism to enjoy Dan Brown’s works so I have an innate repulsion to assigning too many correlations between fictional work and what was intended to be a creative use of standard ciphering methods.  I know that many people found their way to Kryptos through the Da Vinci Code cover competition and the media frenzy but we have to remember this is likely due more to Dan Brown’s interest in codes and ciphers  and less to some amazing connection between the two.  If there is a connection, and this may happen in Mr. Brown’s next book, it is a fabricated one and no matter how appealing or enticing we must remember that these two men earn their living from the public – which is you and me.  Whether it’s in book sales or correlative fame by having a sculpture from that dood who did that CIA thing; they want us interested.

I think it will be beneficial to look into other rotational cipher mechanisms like the Jefferson wheel cipher, the scytale and similar methods to try and figure out what Sanborn did.

The Nostaligic 50’s is where one  of the oldest serials was set in  that was the most hilarious and ran for a whole decade with 11 seasons.. and yet in todays world watching this commedy would still bring laughter to you.

I remember back in the old days I would eagerly watch this show to see what were the Cunnighams and the gang of pals be upto today and…..

I mean I can still remember their strong friendship bond, thier crazy kick arse stunts they did, cute romances

For some insane reason, Happy days sort of reminded me of Archie maybe it was because of  Richie Cunningham’s orange hair.. lol

Can’t believe that today  that freckle faced orange head boy Ritchie Cunningham aka Ron Howard is now turned producer and has produced some real wonderful films( Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man etc..)  and a good favourite of mine was Da Vinvi Code and now his second part to the movie ANGELS AND DEMONS..

And also acted in one really kewl movie .. ‘American Graffiti

my tattoo

Several years ago, I got a tattoo on my forearm, and a lot of people ask me about it. It shows an iconic castle, a fish, and the letters “HR.” The fish represents Jesus Christ, and the letters stand for “Holy Rood,” the medieval term for the cross. The castle represents the Grail Castle, the resting place of the mythical Holy Grail.

I initially came across the image when I was doing research for my novel Zen, Mississippi, begun around 1992 and finished just recently (still unpublished, unfortunately).

The metaphor of the grail quest, borrowed from the legends of King Arthur, plays a major role in that story. The book where I found the image (The Holy Grail by Norma Lorre Goodrich” only said that it was a “medieval water-mark on paper” and that it represented the Grail Castle.

For years, that was basically all I knew about the image. I got it tattooed on my arm for all kinds of reasons, none of them particularly religious in nature. The image struck a chord with me mainly because of my identification and fascination with the knights-errant who search for the grail. It just so happens that the symbolism of Arthurian legend is intricately tied in with the symbolism of Christianity. Also, I liked having a tattoo that tied in with the novel I’d then been working on for several years (and would continue to work on for several years after that), and I just liked the way it looked—castles are cool; most people I think would agree.

Just this week, I happened upon some more information. It turns out that the image originated with one of the most infamous heresies of the Middle Ages, the Cathars who lived in the South of France in the 12th and 13th centuries. The Cathars were a Gnostic sect who believed the Catholic church had corrupted the original message of Christianity. They were also vegetarians and possibly sodomites. Many of them were massacred by the Church in the early 13th century.

Enthusiasts of the DaVinci Code and its “nonfiction” predecessor Holy Grail, Holy Blood may be familiar with the Cathars as the Gnostic sect that evolves into the Priory of Sion, the group at the heart of the grail conspiracy, according to those books.

Conspiracy or not, the Cathars did use a lot of Arthurian imagery in their symbols, and they put these symbols in all kinds of places—tapestries, pottery, etc—trying to spread the word about their beliefs. Many of the Cathars were also some of the earliest manufacturers of paper, and that’s why Cathari symbols were often used as watermarks during that time. The Cathar watermarks were also precursors to the images associated with the Tarot.

In full disclosure, I have not read the DaVinci Code (or seen the film), and I don’t particularly care to. And I’m not a believer in that particular conspiracy. I also can’t say I share many of the Cathars’ specific beliefs—or even understand the. But I do like the fact that I can now identify my tattoo with an interesting and esoteric historical event, and like the search for the grail, my search for information about this image continues.
