Terpulang pada anda menterjemahkan samada Allah adalah bahasa arab yang bermaksud Tuhan atau pun Allah adalah nama tuhan semesta alam. Yang penting lagu ini adalah tentang Allah.

Since I have started with  some posts of demise of Michael Jackson, I feel that I should update some information about controversies in his alleged reversion to Islam.

Most of the Muslim youth who loved Michael, hope and wish their beloved Pop Star to be a Muslim and die as a believer . But as I pointed out in my previous post, that will be only for Michael to be pardoned and forgiven by Allah SWT or rewarded according to his deeds.

There will be more rumors expected to be read over www, to test and shake the faith of Muslim youths relating to this current events. At the same time, there are enormous lessons for those who are ready to reflect in this tragic death of  the Pop Star.

It is very clear that all of us have equal chance of choice that is, to believe or not to believe in Allah.There are ample of signs to reflects the existence of Allah, for all of us who are sincere in seeking the TRUTH..

I was born in other part of the world as a minority Muslim, but when I saw Jermaine Jackson shed tears, when mentioning Allah SWT, I could understand his inner sense as, we believe in the same faith, Islam.

There are no boundaries for the believing people of Islam, which is Universal Religion for all mankind.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted something on the Lecture Experiment (click here to read the introductory post about it).

All I can say right now is that I’ve gotten the speaker’s permission to sell the DVD, and I unforunately, due to other more important obligations busying me, don’t have the final DVD out yet. I already started designing the case for the DVD, and I have to finalize the DVD Menu and opening titles of the lecture. Another thing I have to think about is pricing. I’d wanted to sell it for $10 but I don’t think that’ll allow for a great amount of sales. So, most likely I’ll lower the price to $8 (or at the least, $5), because the lecture only lasts about 22 minutes and I don’t want to over-price the product.

Though, the success of this project is not lost. The original intention of the project was to sell it and make enough money to buy myself a high-quality camera. Fortunately, in the past weeks while working on this project, I was hired for two other DVD projects (by family, but still hired nonetheless), and now (with Dawah Gear Productions, Inc., my brother’s and my company) I’ll start producing and audio CD of the Last Juz of the Qur’an recited by one of our local young Hufaaz.

And what’s even better is that a brother I know very well (that hosts Dawah Gear Productions’ website) is donating a high-quality camera to my Islamic Youth group, the Florida Association of Young Muslims (FAYM), through me. He says that it’s for FAYM, but I can still use it for my projects. That’s an amazing donation he’s making Alhamdulillah. Though, while I realize that that may just accomplish my goal for me, I still want to raise the money for my own camera because I know that using others’ equipment always has its drawbacks.

InshaAllah make Du’a for success in this project. Because I didn’t post a picture above, I have a video of a great Nasheed I love very much by Dawud Wharnsby Ali. It’s irrelevant to the post but great nonetheless.

I thought this story didn’t seem right.

According to YusufIslam.com’s new FAQ entry, Yusuf was not present at any alleged conversion ceremony for Michael Jackson, as he was busy shooting the music video for his new song “Boots & Sand”. 

Contrary to persistent press rumours, I was not at any kind of conversion ceremony for Michael Jackson. Nor, I believe, was Dawud Wharnsby or any of the others mentioned in connection with the story. Granted, I was in Los Angeles at the time these rumours first appeared – but I was busy filming a video for a new song, Boots & Sand.

I have met Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s older brother, who became a Muslim some years ago. As for Michael himself, I hope that he finds inner peace and can return to making the kind of music that has inspired generations.

On this juma (jum’ah, jumu’ah, etc), I encourage us to reflect on the fact that even the Prophet (pbuh) was at the receiving end of bitter hostility as he walked his path. So were many other great men and women, including Jesus Christ (pbuh), the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (accused by fellow Black clergy of creating “needless tension” – needless tension! Civil rights!), and even Mother Teresa!

As signifant changes unfold in my own life, I’ve found that taking more time in quiet reflection (rather than panicked freneticism), including prayer, is invaluable. I stumbled across this song quite by accident, but it was grounding to remember the struggles faced by extraordinary people as I lead my absolutey ordinary life. May their resilience allow us to grow our own.
