I didn’t have to give this one too much thought.  A recent read of mine of which I wish I could live in has to be Diane Setterfield’s The Thirteenth Tale.

Margaret Lea, a plain bookshop worker and obscure biographer, is picked by renowned author Vida Winter to come stay with her and write her official biography. Margaret soon becomes wrapped up in Vida’s old aging house and the family secrets that it holds as Vida tells her life story.

Books. Writing. Ghosts. Eccentric Writers. Family Secrets. Spooky Old House. It’s right up my alley! And the book is definitely on my list to read again soon if Mrs. Setterfield doesn’t hurry up and write something else.
