Calamities and Hardships Have Their Reward

Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“On the Day of Judgement, when the people who were tried (in this world with difficulties) are given their rewards, the people who were pardoned (in life) will wish that their skins had been cut off with scissors while they were in the world.”

Deeds Will Compensate for Oppression

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that Allaah’s Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him.”

Envied by the Prophets and Martyrs

`Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as saying:

“There are people from the servants of Allaah who are neither Prophets (peace be upon them) nor martyrs; the Prophets and martyrs will envy them on the Day of Resurrection for their rank from Allaah, the Most High.”

Real Intentions Will Be Exposed

Narrated Jundub:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,

“He who lets the people hear of his good deeds intentionally, to win their praise, Allaah will let the people know his real intention (on the Day of Resurrection), and he who does good things in public to show off and win the praise of the people, Allaah will disclose his real intention.”
