The day &#8216;Tron&#8217; hit British cinema&#8217;s. It was one of the first films that featured extensive computer graphics, this news is no exception.</p>
<p>Tron Legacy, the sequel to the retro-style &#8216;Tron&#8217;, is set to hit cinema&#8217;s on December 17th, 2010, a date that is shared with the release of a live action Yogi Bear movie (I kid you not). The movie&#8217;s predecessor was a vital part of movie and gaming culture which brought the virtual world to the public&#8217;s attention. The original, starring<span style="color:#003366;"> </span><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Bridges">Jeff Bridges</a> (<em>Tron, Starman, Iron Man</em>) and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Boxleitner">Bruce Boxleitner</a> (<em>Tron, Kingdom Hearts II, Dead Space: Downfall</em>), was a hit, making double it&#8217;s original production cost, in profit. Tron Legacy features the original cast, always a plus, along with some new stars, such as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrett_Hedlund">Garrett Hedlund</a> (<em>Eragon, Troy, Friday Night Lights</em>), <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Sheen">Michael Sheen</a> (<em>Frost/Nixon, Underworld, Laws Of Attraction</em>), <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olivia_Wilde">Olivia Wilde</a> (<em>Year One, The O.C, House M.D</em>) and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beau_Garrett">Beau Garrett</a> (<em>Fantastic Four 2, Made Of Honour, Ivory</em>). The plotline is as follows:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidante (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>The film itself is created and distributed by Disney, and music will be covered by the ever famous Daft Punk. The Director, one <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Kosinski">Joseph Kosinski</a> (<em>Halo 3: Starry Night, Tron, Logan&#8217;s Run</em>), and shockingly, Tron Legacy (or TR2N) has a huge budget of $300 million (£189 million), which is the highest budgeted film to date, alongside Pirates Of The Caribbean 3. So go and enjoy the trailer, I know I did.</p>

<p>I finished this game recently and thought I might say a few words about it.  </p>
<p>(And for that matter, I plan on saying a few words about every video game I finish from this point on seeing that I spend anywhere from 5 to 24 hours on each one that I play through to the end.  I guess I feel obligated to have something to show for the effort.  At least I got a blog post out of it, right?   In thinking about doing this and making it a regular feature I hesitated to call the write ups &#8220;reviews&#8221; or &#8220;critiques&#8221;;  There are professionals out there at IGN, Joystiq, and Game Informer that are way better than me at &#8220;reviewing&#8221;.  I thought about calling them &#8220;reflections&#8221; but c&#8217;mon &#8211; &#8216;reflecting&#8217; on a videogame?  I&#8217;m not sure that&#8217;s possible.  And even if it is, do I really want to be the kind of guy the &#8216;reflects on videogames&#8217;?  So I&#8217;ve settled, for now, on calling them &#8220;some thoughts&#8221;.)</p>
<p>Anyway, on to Dead Space.  This game was released during the Christmas 2008 season, but was quickly overshadowed by Left For Dead and although it had very good reviews I think that it has yet to be discovered by quite a few people.</p>
<p>The bad?  Well, it took me just under 12 hours to complete, and as a reviewer at IGN noted, it really should have clocked in at 6 or so.  A lot of running around hallways that look suspiciously similar to hallways traversed a few minutes earlier but are actually different hallways.  A lot of killing creatures that really have no purpose except to make the game longer.  </p>
<p>Otherwise, there is a ton of good fun to be had.  Imagine the original Alien mixed with two parts Resident Evil, and a dash of 2001: A Space Odyssey thrown in for good measure.  </p>
<p>Goretastic killing of imaginatively, deformed creatures and  even gorier gore when they kill you &#8211; tearing you literally limb by limb, and then, often, in half.  During the final boss, I kid you not, when you lose the kill animation tops 30 seconds of beautiful, graphic violence sparing you nothing &#8211; although now that I think about it there&#8217;s not a single eyeball-popping in the game.  (I suppose that they&#8217;re saving that for part 2.)</p>
<p>Plotwise this is not quite Bioshock (which in my opinion, though very cool, much too much has been made of its literary Ayn Rand connected plot)  &#8211; but it definitely touches on the same territory with a glimpse into the fictional religion of &#8220;Unitology&#8221; which bears quite a few similarities to the worst things that have been written about  Scientology.  From wacky, post-modern beginnings, to levels of holiness, not earned, but bought and paid for.  Within the game you actually find a Unitology article that is a long and fascinating read within the fictional context of the game &#8211; and you can clearly see where the creators are going with it.  Hopefully, as the sequel pans out these things will flesh out more than they did in this first game.</p>
<p>The graphics and sound design were great &#8211; you do get the feeling of being in space, particularly during the zero-gravity sections.  The retro-50&#8217;s/60&#8217;s feel of the space suit, which you spend the entire game looking at was nice, and the control scheme was complicated enough to be interesting, but not so complicated I had to think about what I was doing.  The only exception to this was the stasis power which slowed enemies down &#8211; which, for some reason, I always had to think about and plan to use &#8211; it never came second-nature to me.  The nearly perfect mechanics paired with a save-point a minimum of every ten minutes made for a good gaming experience.  (I&#8217;m big on save points &#8211; I tend to want to quit playing when I need to, not when some game developer thinks I should.  You hear that videogame makers?  Players have jobs too and often have to get to them and don&#8217;t need you to dictate when they should stop playing.)</p>
<p>The ambitions of the project are in trilogy-form, with not only the Dead Space videogame, but also a comic book, and this cartoon:</p>

<p> &#8211; which I did watch &#8211; and alone is not worth your time, but in the context of the game is neat to watch as many of the physical spaces and plot-points touched on in the game are expanded upon cartoon.  We even get to meet some Unitologists who really seem to be a harmless bunch. Unfortunately, it could have used some script work as the sheer abundance of f-words became so ubiquitous they actually detracted from the experience, pulling me out of the movie.  If someone told me that the dialogue was written by a bunch of 13-year-old boys, I&#8217;d have a hard time <i>not</i> believing them.  (What&#8217;s funny is that the humor of the <a href="http://smirkdirk.wordpress.com/2009/04/29/billy-mays-kaboom-dubs/">Billy May&#8217;s Dubs</a> from my previous post is almost entirely derived from the inappropriate use of the F-word.  As a rule, I have no problem with filthy language, I just asked that it be used properly, effectively, and with purpose &#8211; throwing in a bunch of swears just because you can &#8211; well, that&#8217;s just stupid.)</p>
<p>So there are my reflections on the videogame Dead Space and I hope they help you spend your videogame dollars wisely.</p>

I bought this game at launch, and through a combination of being too terrified to play it and not having time because of  school, I kind of put it aside until last week. I got so excited, and decided that I had to write my next review about it. And as always (as it would seem) I&#8217;m reviewing it for Xbox 360, but it was also released for PS3 and PC. It&#8217;s a 3rd person shooter, survival/horror game.</p>
<p>So I have to say that I loved this game. I was actually kind of upset when it ended but that&#8217;s how I know it&#8217;s a good game I guess. I would definitely recommend this game, and in fact, I liked it so much that I even watched the animated film (or most of it anyway, thanks to computer technical difficulties :S I haven&#8217;t been able to finish it yet&#8230; yet being the key word there). The film is okay so far, and I would recommend it, but probably only  if you&#8217;re a fan of the game. It&#8217;s  called &#8220;Dead Space: Downfall&#8221; and it was a prequel to the game, so I would also recommend playing the game first because I think the story is just better that way&#8230; but that&#8217;s just my opinion.</p>
<p>Story: 10/10</p>
<p>I would have to say that the story is one of the better ones that I&#8217;ve played recently. It starts with your crew on a small repair ship. You&#8217;re headed towards the Ishimura, to respond to a distress call. You play as Isaac Clarke, who is surprisingly just a poor engineer stuck in an unfortunate situation, and forced to fight for his life to find a way off the ship as he finds that it&#8217;s been infested with this alien/human hybrid species called necromorphs. The story has a few twists and turns along the way, but mostly right at the end.</p>
<p>Graphics: 10/10</p>
<p>The graphics in this game were really amazing. I know I say that a lot, but honestly they were.  The Necromorphs looked awesome, and the environments looked so realistic. I would definitely consider this game to be an inspiration to me. I honestly don&#8217;t know what more to say about it. Just look for your self I guess.</p>

<p>Now, I know I don&#8217;t normally add this category into the reviews, but I think it was so good that this game deserved a rating in this category. What I would actually recommend while playing this game, is getting a big pair of noise cancelling  headphones, and wearing those while you play. You&#8217;ll hear so much more than you normally would. Every footstep (even if it&#8217;s not yours), and things creeping behind the walls or in the ceilings. It really is amazing, and adds a lot to the game.</p>
<p>Innovation: 10/10</p>
<p>This game had one amazing feature that I&#8217;ve been wishing for in video games for a long time. Do you ever play open ended video games, and get lost easily? Well I know I do, and I have to say, that&#8217;s probably the number one thing that I hate most in a video game. I know a lot of games have maps, but most of the time they don&#8217;t clearly show which way to go. But Isaac gets this awesome feature in his engineering suit that if you click the right stick in, it&#8217;ll point Isaac in the right direction, and a blue line will show you to your destination&#8230; how cool is that. I know what you may be thinking&#8230; the possible downfall being that the game isn&#8217;t so open ended right, or may limit play. But the fact is, this feature isn&#8217;t limiting you from exploring, it just points you in the right direction if you should need some navigational assistance.</p>
<p>There were some other really cool features, but I know similar things have been added in games before, so they&#8217;re not THAT innovative. But they also added the gravity jump in Zero Gravity mode, Kenisis and Stasis, which are all pretty cool features anyway.</p>
<p>Overall: 10/10</p>
<p>Seeing how much this game has decreased in value, and how fast it&#8217;s happened, I&#8217;m guessing that it&#8217;s not the most popular game compared to the big titles. But I really think it&#8217;s being undervalued. Maybe it got too much hype that it didn&#8217;t live up to? That seems to be the case most of the time, but I really think that that&#8217;s unfortunate, because this game has probably made it to my list of top 5 favorites. Anyway, if you&#8217;re a survival/horror, shooter, or sci-fi fan, then I would definitely recommend Dead Space. A word of warning though, if you don&#8217;t like gore, then definitely don&#8217;t get this game.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p style="text-align:justify;"><a href="http://hatedpig.wordpress.com/files/2008/11/deadspaceanibig.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-1288" title="deadspaceanibig" src="http://hatedpig.wordpress.com/files/2008/11/deadspaceanibig.jpg?w=197" alt="deadspaceanibig" width="197" height="300" /></a>Anoche me tragué la película de animación basada en el nuevo survival horror de EA y aunque no esperaba gran cosa, la verdad es que incita bastante a meterle mano al juego. Todavía no he tenido el placer de probar esa joyita, pero seguramente le echaré el guante en navidad. De momento <strong>Dead Space: Downfall</strong> sirve como preludio a lo que nos vamos a encontrar en la aventura. Como ya habréis leído y releído el <strong>Ishimura</strong> es una nave de exploración que tras quedar varios días incomunicada requiere la visita del que es el prota del juego, <strong>Isaac Carke</strong>, cuya misión es adentrarse en la nave y averiguar lo sucedido, así como reparar lo necesario.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">En la película se narran los acontecimientos anteriores a la llegada de Isaac. Después de encontrar un <strong>misterioso monolito</strong> en un remoto planeta, el Ishimura procede a su extracción para llevarlo posteriormente a la Tierra. Según algunas creencias, el monolito ayudará a entender el nacimiento de la raza humana y del mismo universo en sí. En cuanto comienzan el viaje de regreso al planeta comienzan a pasar cosas bastante raras. La tripulación comienza a volverse loca y los suicidios son el pan nuestro de cada día. En la película, bastante gore y cargadita de sangre y vísceras se plasman bastante bien los efectos que comienzan a experimentar los tripulantes.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Un comando de seguridad intenta plantar cara a los &#8220;nuevos visitantes&#8221; que toman el control de los cadáveres, dando lugar a la parte final y más entretenida de la peli, mostrándose enemigos que supuestamente aparecerán en el juego y algunas particularidades como los desmenbramientos o los ataques por sorpresa. En poco mas de una hora se condensa todo lo que el jugador debería saber sobre los hechos anteriores a la línea temporal del juego. Aunque no sea realmente destacable se agradecen bastante este tipo de extras de un juego. Recordad que Dead Space cuenta con la película de animación, el cómic y el juego. Sin duda EA ha puesto toda la carne en el asador para promocionar y dar valor a su creación, obteniendo como resultado, según los que ya lo han probado, el mejor survival de esta generación.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Auf der Rückseite der DvD Hülle steht. &#8220;&#8230; einer neuen Dimension von Erwachsenen-Animation auf einem nie gesehenen zeichnerischen Niveau, was Terror und Blutvergießen angeht!&#8221; Ja es gibt Blut. Viel, sogar sehr viel Blut. Aber bei der doch recht kurzen Laufzeit von 71 Minuten kam bei mir kein grusel Stimmung auf.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">Die Umgebungen, Raumschiffe und so weiter sehen sogar recht gut aus aber die Personen selbst sind doch sehr Detail arm. Wer das Spiel kennt wird die Uniformen aber noch wieder erkennen. Insgesamt hat mich der Stil doch recht stark an Titan A.E. erinnert und weniger an japanische Animes wie Macross Frontier. Darüber kann man denke ich doch hinwegsehen und ein Auge zudrücken.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">So ein Gesicht bekommt kein Chirurg der Welt mehr hin.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Mein größter Kritik Punkt ist die Geschichte an sich. Es gibt sogut wie keine neuen Ding für Leute wie mich die das Spiel sehr aufmerksam gespielt haben. Im Grunde sieht man nur das was man schon im Spiel durch Text, Audio sowie Videologs erfahren hat zusammen gefügt zu einem Film. Einige Details passen aber auch garnicht mit dem Spiel zusammen. Dort wurde einfach zu viel Potenzial verschenkt.</p>

<p>Надали е останал геймър, който да не е подочул нещо за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/dead-space-games/">Dead Space</a>, сървайвъл играта на EA Redwood Shores разказваща за премеждията на Айзък Кларк &#8211; космически инжинер, попаднал в доста неприятна ситуация <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Тъй като, според някой хора аз съм</p>

<p>а Fallout 3 Collector&#8217;s Edition-a и <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/10/29/call-of-duty-world-at-war-multiplayer-beta/">мултиплейър бетата</a> на <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/call-of-duty-games/">Call of Duty: World At War</a> ме зовът, ще карам структурирано без да се отплесвам много много <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>По <span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>графиката</strong></span> посрещат, по геймплея изпращат.<br />
Това което се набива на очи, веднага след стартирането на играта е, че <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/dead-space-games/">Dead Space</a> изглежда перфектно! Графиката е&#8230; епична. Из нивата има множество детайли, малкото големи пространства спират дъха, а партикъл ефектите са на едно чудесно ниво.<br />
В този ред на мисли, на моята изскърцала машина:</p>

<p>При разделителна способност 1280&#215;1024 и максимални детайли, играта върви със стабилни 40 къдъра в секунда, а всички скрииншоти който ще видите наоколо са правени от мен.</p>

Графиката е хубаво нещо, но една игра има нужда от атмосфера, за да може да добие плътност. А повярвайте ми, в <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/dead-space-games/">Dead Space</a> има много &#8220;плътност&#8221; <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Играта грабва още от самото начало, и успява да &#8220;те вкара&#8221; в космическият кораб USG Ishimura, колкото и фантастичен да е сетинга. За това особено много спомага и абсолютната липса на HUD, и каквито и да е менюта в играта. Всички което би следвало да виждате, е визуализирано върху героят ви &#8211; кръвта ви, е светещата линия на гръбначният стълб, синичкото в дясно е умението ви &#8220;да забавяте движението на дадени обекти&#8221;, мунициите се изписват на самата пушка и т.н.<br />

Инвенторито, се появява като висящ във въздуха екран, като и видео логовете, текст логовете, обджективите, картата ви и т.н. На всичкото отгоре, никое от изброените не &#8220;спира играта&#8221;, така че влезете ли веднъж вътре&#8230; ВИЕ СТЕ ВЪТРЕ.<br />

Единственото което може да ви извади от фантастичният свят, е ако някой влезе в стаята ви и светне лампата <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Принципно винаги съм предпочитал FPS-ите, но трябва да призная, че този ефект нямаше как да бъде постигнат, ако не наблюдавахме Айзък от трето лице. Огромен аплауз за това което EA Redwood Shores са успели да направят.</p>
<p>Другият фактор който спомага грандиозно за атмосферата на играта е <span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>звука</strong></span>. Ако горните суперлативи ви се струват преувеличени, почакайте да видите какво имам да казвам за звука. АУДИОТО КЪРТИ! Звуците който издават чудовищата, скърцането на метала из коръба, отварянето на вратите, музиката, диалозите&#8230; И в следващият момент, излизате в откритият космос&#8230; Тишина&#8230; Липса на звук. Само металните ботуши на Айзък се усещат, когато се залепят за металният под. Тук Redwood наистина са надминали себе си. Няма нито секунда от аудиото на играта, която да може да бъде критикувана или поставена под въпрос.</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>Геймплей</strong></span><br />
Графиката и звука са на лице. Какво обаче става, когато пуснем всичко това в действие? Еми става мазало (в най-добрият смисъл на думата). Вървиш из тесните коридори, и туко пред тебе изскочи някой Дзвер.<br />

И като казах дзвер, една от основните части на геймплея е, нещо готино и оригинално &#8211; &#8220;strategic dismemberment&#8221; системата.<br />

<p>Надали има някой който не знае за какво става въпрос, но все пак набързо разяснявам &#8211; поради естеството на враговете ви (хора мутирали в чудовища) обикновеният хед шот или изстрелите в тялото не вършат много работа (а доста често водят и до по неприятни последствия за вас). Точно за това, най-ефективният метод да се справите с тях е&#8230; да ги накълцате на парчета, крайник след крайник. Аз лично процедирах по-следният начин с първите &#8220;Некроморфи&#8221; който срещнах &#8211; гадта се затърчава към мен. Прицелвам се, и я прострелвам в единият крак (който отфърча някъде настрани). Некроморфа естествено не се отказва и започва да пълзи към мен (значително по-бавно). Прицелвам се в една от&#8230; ръцете му, отсичам я с един изстрел и продължавам нататък <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Реално в играта няма твърде много видове гадини, но пък всяка една от наличните е направена перфектно, и има различни силни и слаби страни (но при всички случай отсичането на крайници работи перфектно) <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Страшното става, когато едновременно ви нападнат няколко от различни видове. Тогава, ако имате бързи реакции и точен мерник ще хвърчат крайници&#8230; Ако ли не, ще хвърчат крайниците на Айзък <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<p>Естествено, за да кълцате ви трябват и оръжия. Тяхната бройка не е много голяма (седем) но всички имат алтернативна стрелба, и като изключим горелката и картечницата, всяко едно от тях е модифициран миньорски инструмент, а резултата е фантастичен. Всяко едно от оръжията изглежда и се държи уникално, и няма много общо с това което сте виждали в която и да е друга игра. Врътката е, че имате само 4 слота за оръжия, а единственото което ще получите безплатно е &#8220;Plasma Cutter&#8221;-а. От там нататък, трябва да намерите специални схеми (пръснати из нивата) с помощта на който да отключите други оръжия в магазина, и след това да си ги закупите. Кофтито е, че преди да купите дадено оръжия, няма как да го тествате, и на първо изиграване се налага леко да гадаете кое какво точно прави (въпреки подробното описание). Реално аз тествах само 4 от оръжията, по простата причина, че ако исках да видя и другите (без да загубя купища пари) трябваше да се сейфам, тествам и лоудвам след това, което е под моето достойнство <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  Точно за това, оръжията са още един стимул да преиграете играта <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Отделно всяко едно пушкало може да бъде ъпдейтвано по различни показатели, с помощта на специални &#8220;nodes&#8221; който ще намирате из нивата и/или купувате срещу 10 000 кредита. Реално освен оръжията, можете да ъпдейтвате костюма който носите, стазис и кинетичният модул. Както споменах и по-горе, стазис модула ви позволява да забавяте дадени обекти, а кинетичният модул ви позволява да местите предмети насам натам, без да се помръдвате от мястото си <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>За правилното местеното на предмети спомага &#8220;<a href="http://www.havok.com/">Havoc</a>&#8221; системата, и въпреки че продължавам да смятам, че ако леко бутнеш диван, той няма да се премести, върши чудна работа <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Един от малкото гличове в играта, е свързан точно с физиката обаче&#8230; На няколко пъти ми се случи да видя как трупове на некроморфи засядат във вратите, и започват да се &#8220;тръскат&#8221; безсмислено 0_o Освен това, труповете имат навика да се &#8220;разтрисат&#8221; от време на време, но това по скоро спомага да си изкарате акъла, от колкото да дразни.</p>
<p>Това съвсем между другото, е първата игра в която от началото до края активно употребявах първото оръжие което ми беше връчено. И как няма, при положение, че когато &#8220;Plasma Cutter&#8221;-а бъде ъпдейтнат както трябва, се превръща в едно от най-прецизните устройства, за разчленяване на Дзверунгели <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  За това особено много спомага и факта, че алтернативната стрелба, &#8220;завърта&#8221; оръжието и ви позволява да &#8220;режете крайници&#8221; по-най удобният за вас начин <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

Оставяйки лошковците настрана, трябва да спомена, че възползвайки се от умението ви да местите предмети, и да забавяте други такива, играта от време на време ще ви поставя пред някое пъзелче, който обаче не са нищо затрудняващо. Хубавото обаче, е че въпросните два модула са вплетени чудесно в играта, а не са там &#8220;просто за да ги има&#8221;.</p>
<p>Друго много специфично нещо за Dead Space, са участъците в който попадате в условия на &#8220;нулева гравитация&#8221;. Единственото по-забавно е &#8220;нулева гравитация&#8221; и липса на кислород <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  Не че до сега не съм играл игри, в който изпадате в безтегловност, но това тук е най-близката симулация която съм виждал в игра (или поне до това което аз си представям) <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  Няма какво да го описвам, трябва да се изживее <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>Левъл дизайна</strong></span> е интересен, а EA Redwood Shores, са успели наистина да &#8220;вдъхнат живот&#8221; в USG Ishimura. Корабът, наистина изглежда така, сякаш на него <del datetime="00">живеят</del> са живели хора. Нивата са хитро направени, като пълният им блясък се разкрива в няколкото места из който си проправяте път, в условия на безтегловност. И въпреки, че и в тази игра, ще се връщате по-няколко пъти, до едни и същи локации, това няма да ви се натрапи или пречи по-никакъв начин. И тук Redwood са действали много хитро, поставяйки из нивата специални шкафчета, и отключвайки ги на части. Какво имам предвид? Влизате в една стая, и в нея има 5 шкафчета, ок който 2 са отключени, а другите 3 заключени. Събирате каквото можете и продължавате нататък&#8230; По късно, когато отново ви се наложи да минете през тази стаичка, играта отключва и другите 3 шкафчета <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  Да, не е особено реалистично, но пък за сметка на това е ефективно и хитро. Е, няма как да не спомена, че нивата са ужасяващо праволинейни, а ако успеете да се загубите, значи имате нужда от специализирана помощ, но какво да се прави&#8230; Не може всичко <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Играта е разделена на 12 чаптъра, като минаването на всеки един от тях отнема около час. Въпреки това, аз успях да си затрия 14 часа и малко, най-вече защото се заиграх на една от мини игрите (ще ги видите, супер забавни са). А и малко се поулях със правенето на скрийншоти (и как няма, при полужение че играта няма HUD, и е идИално за картинки) =) Ако се чудите какво толкова съм се заиграл, ще подхвърля, че в папка C:\Fraps\Dead Space има 627 скрийншота <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Едно от малкото оплаквани свързано с тази игра, идва от хора твърдящи, че <span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>управлението</strong></span> е кофти&#8230; Аз обаче не мога да се съглася с него. Факт е, че от известно време игра с помощта на <a href="http://www.n52te.com/">n52te</a>, но наистина не видях нищо кофти в начина на управление на играта. Да, отне малко повече време да го настроя така, че да ми е удобно, но иначе проблеми няма. <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Перспективата от която гледате Айзък е малко странна, но след като и свикнете ще осъзнаете, че всичко е абсолютно умишлено, и само спомага за плашещата атмосфера на играта.<br />
Единствената забележка която имам към контролите, е фрапиращият факт, че играта не пожела да ми отчете <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/01/13/razer-diamondback-3g/">допълнителните бутони на мишката</a>. Опитах се, да си закача някой копчета от клавиатурата посредством софтуера на мишока, но се оказа, че за играта тези ми копчета просто не съществуват (включително и скрол бутона). Това ми се е случвало само с още една игра преди време (не помня коя), и е доста&#8230; тъпо. Но се преживява <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>Историята</strong></span> не е нещо революционно, и в началото доста ми лъхаше на Alien филмите, но в последствие ще видите, че нищо не е такова каквото изглежда <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  а съспенс и врътки има достатъчно <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Ако сте пропуснали, ще припомня, че историята не се изчерпва само с това което ще видите в играта. Реално хронологията е следната:<br />
1. <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/10/16/dead-space-media-blowout/">Dead Space комикса</a> &#8211; разказва какво се е случило на планетата на която е открит &#8220;Маркера&#8221; (ключов елемент за историята);<br />
2. <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/07/24/dead-space-downfall/">Dead Space: Downfall</a> &#8211; анимационен филм (не се лъжете, 18+ си е) <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  който разказва какво се е случило на USG Ishimura след като &#8220;Маркера&#8221; е бил качен на борда, и преди вашето пристигане.<br />
3. Играта;</p>
<p>Аз ги изгледах/изиграх точно в този ред, но си мисля, че би било по интересно да се процедира по системата комикса -&#62; играта -&#62; филма. Така, поне според мен, ще ви бъде по-интересно докато играете, а и предвид датите в който бяха предвидени да излезет различните елементи, реда би трябвало да бъде точно такъв <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>BTW през 2010 се очаква и игрален филм <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>Страх</strong></span><br />

<p>За съжаление това е единственият елемент, в който играта не изпълни на макс очакванията ми&#8230; Просто не е достатъчно страшна. Знам, че много хора няма да се съгласят, но какво да направя като просто не ме плаши <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Въпреки че я играх при перфектните условия &#8211; сам, на тъмно, и със слушалки, моментите при който подскочих от стола се броят на пръсти. Иначе дивелъпърите са се справили перфектно при скриптирането на събитията, и в 98% от пътите, ще успяват да насочат погледа ви към стряскащият момент (това обикновено е голям проблем, защото играчите обичат да гледат в най-различни посоки, и така пропускат страховитите събития), което е повече от похвално. Иначе четох по форуми, че средностатистическият потребител се &#8220;насирали от страх&#8221; (с извинение) <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  така, че очевидно проблема е при мен, и е на психическа основа, ама какво да направя сега&#8230; <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  Доста вероятно е, и да се дължи на факта, че според мен кофите кръФФФ не са особено плащеши <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  А в играта наистина има кофи кръф:<br />

Върти го, сучи го на PC играта е лесна&#8230; твърде лесна.<br />
Нивото на труднос е както следва:<br />
- Easy;<br />
- Medium;<br />
- Hard;<br />
И след превъртане се отключва:<br />
- Impossible трудноста.</p>
<p>Но реално нещата стоят така:<br />
- Easy &#8211; това е мод, за някой който за пръв път сяда пред компютърна игра;<br />
- Medium &#8211; Easy;<br />
- Hard &#8211; Normal;<br />
- Impossible &#8211; Hard.</p>
<p>За съжаление обаче, ме открехнаха за тази реална подредба, след като бях минал около два час игра на Medium (умрях за първи път на четвъртият чаптър), а трудността не може да се смени по време на игра (трябва да почнете от начало). А пък в тази игра (феноменално но факт) умирането също е забавление <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Вярно е, че не съм пукясвал много пъти, но всеки един от смъртните случай на Айзък беше:<br />
- уникален;<br />
- особено изчерпателен;<br />
- доста брутален.<br />

Просто беше гадно, че не умирах повече пъти <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  (егати извратеното оплакване).</p>
<p>Другото гадно е, че след като превъртите играта можете да почнете нова игра запазвайки си екипировката (и получавайки някой специални екстри), но отново не можете да смените нивото на трудност. Искрено се надявам, това да бъде отстранено с някой пач (но малко се съмнявам) <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>Финални мисли и заключения</strong></span><br />
Доста се чудих каква оценка да дам на <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/dead-space-games/">&#8220;Умрелия космУс&#8221;</a> <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
От една страна, играта няма мултиплейър и/или ко-оп, и не е чак толкова дълга (въпреки, че по днешните стандарти си е чудна), а и има по някоя треска за дялкане. От друга страна, атмосферата е перфектна. Аудиото и видеото рулират, а геймплея не отстъпва нито на едното нито на другото. Аве по всички стандарти 9 &#8211; 9,5 от 10. =) Обаче, понеже блога си е мой, <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  играта наистина ме изкефи, и за сега Dead Space е най-добрата, до която съм се докосвал през 2008-ма, леко притварям очи и заявявам:<br />

<p>This animated feature was nominated for the 2008 Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year. As the opening film of Animation Nation, it has already grabbed the attention of Singaporean film-lovers, causing tickets for the screeening to be sold out even before the festival opens. <em>The Piano Forest</em> tells of Shuhei Amamiya who moves to a rural town. After he tells his new classmates of his dream of becoming a professional pianist where he is challenged to play on a broken piano discarded in the forest.</p>

<p>Не знам, колко от вас са забелязали, но покрай въпросната игра, EA правят впечатляващи нещица. Комикс, допълнителни <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/08/27/no-known-survivors/">web сайтове</a>, <a href="http://strangera.com/2008/07/24/dead-space-downfall/">анимационен филм</a>&#8230; И на всичкото отгоре, всичко се прави на едно много високо и професионално ниво.</p>
<p>За капак играта вече е факт за Xbox360 \и за PS3 май\ и получава доста позитивни оценки (по времето когато пиша това <a href="http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/deadspace">88 от 100 в metacritic</a>) от критиците.</p>
<p>Но вие най-вероятно вече знаете това <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Причините за този пост всъщност са няколко.</p>
<p>Първата е споменатият по-горе комикс. Той излезе в два варианта &#8211; хартиен носител, и паралелно излизаща с него анимирана версия. Съдържа общо 6 части, и разказва за събития случили се на космическият кораб USG Ishimura, непосредствено преди предстоящият анимационен филм (за него четете по-долу) и началото на играта. Тъй като, всички части вече излязоха, съм ги събрал и качил в едно торентче <a href="http://www.arenabg.com/details.php?id=226240ee20a5a0b848079bd2ec1750599043cd7f">тук \Dead Space Comics (cbr and video) [arenabg.com]\</a>. В папка &#8220;Paper Version&#8221; ще намерите 6-те хартиени комикса в формат &#8220;.cbr&#8221;. За да ги разглеждате, ще трябва да си инсталирате <a href="http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay">CDisplay Sequential Image Viewer</a> (включен е в торента). В папка &#8220;Animated Comic Full Series (HD)&#8221; пък, ще намерите 6-те анимирани, нецензурирани версии, на въпросният комикс, в формат &#8220;.wmv&#8221; с резолюция 1280&#215;720 (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720i">720i</a>). Времетраене: 45 минути и 57 секунди.</p>

Сега за някой от новите филмчета и трейлъри появили се в нета вчера и днес.<br />
Започваме с едно ПЛАШЕЩО видео, направено от <a href="http://www.scifi.com/">SciFi TV</a>. Видеото е наистина страховито, ама не за друго, ами защото вътре има чудовищно количество звезди, който ще ви говорят за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/dead-space-games/">Dead Space</a>. Просто когато рекламната машина на EA работи, трябва да останем безмълвни (но видеото наистина е много добро). Вижте сами:<br />

PC версията, би трябвало да излезе на 20-ти октомври в САЩ; 23-ти в Австралия и 24 в Европа.</p>
