Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)

What a very applicable recommendation for us all to accept and implement into our daily lives. What an unbelievable change, I say, that would take place if we diligently worked to have the mind of Christ leading us and guiding us through this dark lonesome world. I am very thankful that He became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross giving us victory over the things that would cause us to be unpleasing to our Lord and to leave this world unsaved without God! Yet it pleased God to bruise Him, put Him through grief and make His soul an offering for sin. Praise God… what a Savior that we have in the Lord Jesus Christ! Some day everyone, and I do mean everyone, will bow their knee and every tongue, and I do mean every tongue, will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father! I am reminded of a great spirit filled hymn as I write today and a little bit of it goes like this… “What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought since Jesus came into my heart” ! Praise God the old things are passed away and behold all things have become new. On August 24th 1979 as an 11 year old child I gave my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bristol, TN. I never imagined what all would take place in my life after I got saved. I found the Lord Jesus to be more to me than I had ever thought or ever deserved and at the age of 45 I am still finding out there is more to Him than I ever thought. His word is still true that it is of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, but His mercy is a never ending, life fulfilling, life changing new look at every new day. Just as the book of Lamentations records, “Great is Thy faithfulness” ! We all will find throughout life, up until the day God calls us home, He will remain faithful and when the end of time comes we will find Him even more faithful! Though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thank God for His comforting hand that shall lead us through life and usher us right into Heaven some day where we shall live forever in the continued blessings of almighty God! So the more we know of Jesus and His great love wherewith He loved us, there is a desire that will be stirred in us to have the mind of Christ!
