Another news comes from the production of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. Being met by Australian morning television show Seven’s “Sunrise” on the film’s set, the depicter of Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, has informed that the last phase of the filming will be done after Christmas holiday.

“It’ll be funny after Christmas because after Christmas then we really are on the home stretch then…and it will be strange,” Radcliffe shared. Talking further about how he feels to work on the “Harry Potter” film franchise for the last time, the British actor said, “It will be very, very odd, and very sad. But, equally, it’ll be very exciting to not to have to say to people ‘Sorry, I won’t be available for another four years.’ I am excited about it.”

As of late, another “Deathly Hallows” star Steffan Rhodri has addressed the shooting of the scenes in which Harry and his two best friends sneak into the Ministry of Magic and transform into workers. The filming will take place at Leavesden Studio starting in December and last for five weeks until February 2010. In the particular scenes, Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger will take over the identities of David O’Hara’s Albert Runcorn, Rhodri’s Reg Cattermole, and Sophie Thompson’s Mafalda Hopkirk.

Based on J.K. Rowling’s last “Harry Potter” novel, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will be made into two movies. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” is due for November 19, 2010 release in both U.S. and U.K., whereas “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II” is slated to be premiered on July 15, 2011. Beside Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will also return to reprise their roles as Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

Con motivo del lanzamiento en dvd del blockbuster Harry Potter y El Misterio del Principe, warner bros a puesto en internet esta escena eliminada de la pelicula, no logro entender porque diablos el director David Yates la elimino, si es tal vez una de las escenas mas poderosas de toda la saga, con unos planos secuencias espectaculares, una fotografia y manejo de luces, sombras y misterio impecables adornadas con una melodia tan epica como lo es “In Nocten”, ni modo, a esperar el dvd para disfrutar de esta maravillosa secuencia una vez mas!

Wii, esta noticia para mi es excelente, siendo fanatico de esta gran obra literaria y tambien de las peliculas, el personaje creado por J.K. Rowling   aparece en el número de Diciembre de la revista cinematográfica Empire . Será una edición especial con diez diferentes portadas, cada una con un personaje calificado como “icono del cine de los últimos 10 años”, y entre ellas no podía faltar el joven mago Harry Potter en la cubierta número 7. Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince

Con un titulo tan largo la noticia queda clara, tras los rumores de que en la edicion DVD de 2 discos de Harry Potter y el misterio del principe podríamos tener las primeras secuencias de Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte incluidas, el sitio web de DVD Empire confirmó la noticia y el 5 de diciembre tendremos los primeros atisbos de la penúltima y última película de la serie. Todavia no hay mucha informacion, sin embargo, es probable que sea un sneak peek-detrás de las escenas que muestran la filmación, como en el dvd de “La Orden del Fénix”, mostrando un material de la sexta película. No aguanto mas, quiero este dvd ya!. pero mientras llega los dejo con dos imagenes de la filmacion de Hp and the deathly hallows.

Why This is a OneRead:  Yes, I am a christian and do recommend this book for kids against the advice of those who use the “Wizard” arguement as an excuse not to read. This read is a great, long series that will keep you occupied 100%.  J. K. Rowling is an amazing descriptive writer that makes you feel like you are in the story.  It is a great story about a young boy trying to do good against evil, a lesson we all need.  This a true masterpiece; arguably one the few that come along every decade or more.

Hace poco, gracias a una amiga, tuve la oportunidad de leer la saga completa de Harry Potter, justo después de ver la sexta pelicula, y como era de esperarse, una vez que anuncié que había terminado comenzarón a lloverme preguntas sobre cómo eran, si la historia variaba mucho a las peliculas, si valía la pena leerlos, qué era mejor los libros o las peliculas, y de tanto explicarlo y después de discutir algunas situaciones en un foro dedicado a Harry Potter, hacer unas cuantas investiaciones y refinarme las primeras cinco peliculas de nuevo (la sexta obvio aún no la compro) me dije a mi mismo: Mi mismo, por qué rayos no escribes tus comentarios en el blog y te ahorras estar respondiendo preguntas… Así que después de ese arduo analisis me puse en marcha, abrí el blog y comencé a escribir estas lineas.

Si quieres conocer mi opinión sobre estos siete libros y ver si es bueno leerlos o no, o simplemente conocer algunas de mis  teorias de “Qué habría pasado si…” continua leyendo, pero si prefieres averiguarlo por ti mismo cosa ke siempre es mas recomendable no sigas leyendo, pero no te preocupes para que no sea todo una perdida de tiempo dejo unas imagenes de la septima pelicula. Harry Potter y La Piedra Filosofal: Ante este libro no tengo ninguna queja, el libro y la paelicula son practicamente lo mismo, exceptuando, lógicamente, algunos detalles que no tienen mucha relevancia en la historia, pero, a mi parecer las formas descriptivas dentro de la narrativa que maneja Rowling dentro del libro, así como las descripciones de personas y lugares, te hacen invlocurarte de una forma más profunda con el libro, si bien, la pelicula hace un muy buen trabajo mostrandonos el mundo dentro de  Hogwarts, hay cosas que obviamente sólo pueden ser apreciadas imaginandolas. En general no existe mucha diferencia entre uno y otro, si te gustó la pelicula es seguro que amarás este libro.

Harry Potter y la Cámara Secreta: Sin duda el libro más tranquilón de la saga, y uno de los que menos intriga tiene, pero aún con ello la pelicula comienza a dejar muchas cosas que deseear, aparece por fin en un papel “semiprotagónico” Ginny Weasley, y hay algunos detalles que influiran mucho en los libros 6 y 7, Rowling lográ una vez más atraparte en la lectura, de nuevo las descripciones de lugares y personajes es lo mejor, las situaciones continuan siendo adecuadas para un publico infantil, al igual que en el primer libro, sin embargo con este libro comienza a verse el rumbo que irá tomando la saga.

Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban: El mejor libro de todos, aunque es de los más cortitos, si no es ke realmente es el más corto, durante este libro comienzan a aparecer muchos detalles que afectan directamente el desarrollo de la historia posterior, como lo es el hecho de que Hermione tuviera un giratiempo, así como la aparición de Pettegrew en el mapa del merodeador. En comparación con la pelicula hay muchas cosas que se dejaron de lado, pero aún así la pelicula sigue remarcando los aspectos principales, sin duda Alfonso Cuarón realizó un estupendo trabajo, es la pelicula mejor adaptada y más fiel a la historia del libro. La aparición de Sirius Black, así como las sospechas de la traición a los padres de Harry, el encuentro con los dementores, entre otras muchas tantas cosas llevan a este libro dejar atrás la lectura fantástica infantil y se transforma en una narrativa más oscura y con mucha mayor intriga.

Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban

Harry Potter y el Calíz de Fuego: Después de leer sobre un mundo fantástico, un secreto oculto ante todos en el sitio “más seguro” del mundo mágico y conocer a las unicas personas que representan un vínculo cercano entre Harry y sus padres, llega, como lo hace siempre,  el peor enemigo de todo adolescente, pero a la vez el mejor aliado. EL AMOR. En este cuarto libro el amor entre los personajes y algunos nuevos personajes comienza a hacer estragos y esto se refleja en la extensión del mismo, y aunke en este libro las relaciones interpersonales son el tema central, así como el doloroso pasado de Harry, suceden hechos importantes que una vez más marcarán el curso de la historia, aunque estas, a diferencia de las del libro anterior son más notorias. La muerte de Cedric, así como el renacimiento de Voldemort marcan a Harry de una forma que las peliculas no lograron plasmar, además, respondiendo a una pregunta que me hicieron sobre si el libro relataba las batallas de los otros magos que paricipan en el torneo de los tres magos (Cedric, Fleur, Viktor) debo comentar que no lo hace abiertamente, sin embargo, continua dandonos más información que la misma pelicula. Continuan apareciendo nuevos personajes que serán sumamente importantes en los siguientes libros, y la lectura, aunque en momentos un poco cansada debido a tantas descripsiones sigue siendo atrapante.

Josh Herdman (Goyle in HP) talked at MuggleMayhem, a non-profit symposium hosted in the UK, several weeks ago and said that the current plan was to split Deathly Hallows right after the trio are captured by the Snatchers and taken to Malfoy Manor. While, this did come from Herdman himself, there is always a chance that this plan will change in the course of filming.

Also, Herdman revealed that his character, Goyle, would be the one who dies instead of Crabbe. Jamie Waylett, who plays Crabbe, was charged with cannabis possession several months ago. He is not expected to return for Deathly Hallows.

It’s always sad when a really awesome cast loses a member, but losing Crabbe will not be that heart-breaking. We have a while before Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (and counting down the days might be a little ridiculous) so: about 15 months left. We can do it! ;]

He doesn’t want Harry Potter to end either! While we’re all counting down the months till the part 1 release of Deathly Hallows, somewhere (deep, deep down) we are dreading its release because it is just a step closer to the end of the Harry Potter movies. I don’t know about you, but I grew up with the trio and their Hogwarts adventures.  Now that the series (book-wise) is over, I’m kind of at a loss on what to read next. Sure, there are plenty of other books out there, but how many books will have you hanging onto every word? Or going to a bookstore at midnight to stand in line with fellow fans? For almost 10 years, I have lived alongside Harry and the others as they battled Voldemort and his minions of Death Eaters. Voldemort’s death sentence (pun intended; if you don’t get it, you’re not an obsessive fan) was bittersweet. We’ve been waiting years to read that sentence and now it’s over. Sure, you can read it over (and over and over and over, in my case), but it never changes. Harry still disarms Voldemort and Voldy still dies.

Wow, I went off on a major tangent. ANYWAY, back to Rupe. The BBC interviewed the actor of Ronald Weasley. The actor admitted that he was definitely sad to see the Potter series come to an end.

“I’m just trying to make the most of it really because it is going to end. I think it is going to be sad, but I’m ready to move on as well.”

The ending of the Potter movies will definitely be bittersweet, but the fandom will continue to obsess and reread for a very long time. (;

There is an MJ special going on channel Vh1. I have not paid attention to TV that much, i know it has been going on for some days now, Vh1 wants to bring in his birthday with some specials about him.

I was watching ‘beat it’ and remembered the amount of MJ clones in school, the dance competitions wherein every year there was some MJ song. For the last few years its been quiet with controversies about him more than reality, i guess that is the price you pay for being famous. I also tried a few of the dance steps but knew from the start i was headed for disaster if i tried them on stage lolzz

MJ actually launched quite a few careers in dance for some of my friends, one of them who i am not in touch but i know he is a big shot dance choreographer in bolly-wood. People who called him names can eat shit now knowing what he does.

It is good, but i am not feeling happy. I wish it was because of others but i guess it is because of me. Sometimes i feel i should have the free time that some of my colleagues have. Would i not have time to learn. But then i guess more time you get, more you do things other than your goals. So i guess am better off. I have a lot of work i know that. And in a very diff way i should be happy about that. In this recessionary times, less work generally scares you. I need to get more organized than i am right now.

Am starting to wonder, when do you know what is the existence of your living. When do you find what are u in this world for? this question is quiet open. Am i not looking for clues. Am i not reading the fine print. Is it there and i am not reading them.

#Books

Harry Potter – The deathly hallows has completely bowled me over. I know the book has been out some time back, quiet a while back. Am reading it now. I had an audio book which i did listen for quite some time. Now when i finished reading this book i felt i was in the story. I love when i get so involved in the story.

I know August hasn’t exactly been a good month for me blogging-wise, but not much has happened. Now I completely understand what Waltz said on her blog at the beginning of the summer about the days blurring into each other and nothing too notable happening. So today I gave myself an excuse to blog: my expectations and predictions for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows films. I used the word “prognostications” in the title as a reference to one of my favourite podcasts, Harry Potter Prognostications, which is hosted by Penny and Greg Gershman who also happen to be two of the hosts of Smart Mouths.

Before I get into all that though, I suppose I could briefly talk about what I’ve been up to the past week or so. I went to my great-grandma’s 70^th birthday surprise party on Sunday and I finished reading Half-Blood Prince at 12:35 this morning and I’m going to start Eclipse today as well. That’s pretty much it to be honest, but my parents just told me yesterday that we’re going on vacation this Friday. We’re going on a road trip and where we’re going exactly is a “surprise” (which is code for they have no clue). It should be fun but my brother isn’t really feelin’ the whole road trip thing. Me, I’m really excited! I don’t expect to be able to blog until at least the 24^th though since our vacations are usually sans computers. My Studies in Lit teacher asked me to speak at a conference on the 24^th about using blogging in the classroom as part of her presentation. Since I love blogging and plan on becoming a teacher, this is a huge opportunity for me! But I digress…

On to my prognostications! Be warned that THERE WILL BE SPOILERS APLENTY FOR DEATHLY HALLOWS AND HALF-BLOOD PRINCE! I’ll try not to make this as long as my Half-Blood Prince review (“try” being the key word here). So scroll down underneath the picture of Ron Weasley and let’s get this road on the show!

The Horcruxes: Harry has no clue about what the Horcruxes are/could be since all the memories pertaining to them were cut from the film. Likewise, so were Dumbledore’s speculations as to what they might be so here they are for you: Tom Riddle’s diary (from Chamber of Secrets), Nagini (Voldemort’s pet snake), a cup once owned by Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin’s locket, Voldemort’s grandfather’s ring, and something belonging to either Godric Gryffindor or Rowena Ravenclaw. In the Deathly Hallows book, Harry knows all of this and that sets up the whole premise of his journey. I think that when Harry, Ron, and Hermione read Dumbledore’s will, there will be a letter enclosed with it detailing this information. Either that or Harry will go back to Hogwarts earlier and see the memories that were cut from the sixth movie. There’s even the possibility of both but they’re going to have to make it flow with the DH storyline.

Two Parts and the Split: As we all know by now, Deathly Hallows is being split into two parts. This means that they have no excuse to cut anything important or otherwise butcher the story. But now, not only do they have to include as much of DH as possible, but they’ve also got to include half of HBP as well for any of it to make sense! As for where the book will be split, I originally though that maybe Part One would end when the trio gets captured but before they arrive at Malfoy Manor; however, director David Yates – or was it David Heyman, the producer? – said the split would be where you wouldn’t necessarily think it would be so now I’m at a loss. Right now my guess is that the Malfoy Manor part will be Part One’s climax and the film will end with Dobby’s funeral, but I’m still not sure. I’m excited to find out, though!

Harry’s Eyes: As I constantly mentioned in my Harry Potter marathon tweets, Harry’s eyes in the movie are blue instead of green. The fact that Harry has Lily’s eyes plays a very important role in Deathly Hallows so they’ll most likely just say that Lily Potter had blue eyes. Simple as that, though it won’t be canon to the books, but that’s just me being nitpicky (I tend to do that).

Dumbledore and Grindelwald: I think the whole world (and maybe even Mars) knows that Dumbledore is gay. I think that when they delve into their backstory they’ll play up the (homo)sexual tension between them and make it just slightly more obvious than JK Rowling did in the book. They may even try to make it seem like Grindelwald is gay as well, although JKR didn’t really hint at that. We’ll see.

The Battle of Hogwarts: For all that is good in the world, they better make the Battle of Hogwarts EPIC! I read online (MuggleNet if I’m not mistaken) that the battle is apparently going to be a least half and hour long. I sincerely hope so and I really want to see the fight between Molly Weasley and Bellatrix Lestrange (complete will Mrs. W calling B a bitch). This is mainly because I love Helena Bonham Carter so much and I want to see her actually get some decent screen time in the last film.  I wish Emma Thompson were returning as Professor Trelawney because it would be funny to see her chucking crystal balls at people; however, I really do want another Nanny McPhee movie so sacrifices must be made. I also want to see Prof. McGonagall (Maggie Smith) kicking some tail, too!

The Epilogue: I’m going to keep my cool here and not bash the epilogue although I felt it was too corny and to be honest, a bit of a cop-out. That being said, however, I completely understand why it turned out the way it did and I really can’t imagine it any other way. For the film, the actors will be playing themselves nineteen years older (at least, the trio will as far as I know). They did a good job making Brad Pitt younger (and older, too) in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button so I think they can age the kids well enough. I just hope they don’t make it too it too comical and hokey. If they ruin the film’s ending, they ruin the ending of the entire film series and that’s gonna stir up some BAD mojo. Potterheads EVERYWHERE will be rioting nationwide. It’s gonna be fun, ain’t it?

Well, those are my predictions for the Deathly Hallows films right now. Well it has taken me long enough to get round to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (seeing as it was published two years ago), so this is more of a retrospective than a review.

- The Final Curtain Call -

I have never been a hardcore Potter fan, but to date I have always found the books to be fairly readable and addictive in so far as page turning is involved. This is certainly true of book 7; I found myself ploughing through the 700 odd pages wanting to know the conclusion, and yet I was left feeling strangely dissatisfied.

I am not going to go into details about the plot etc. as I fear the wrath of anyone who has yet to find out who dies, who lives, who gets together and who saves the day [spoilers], but needless to say it is an action packed explosion of a novel which one would expect from a series that spans 12 years. However, the action sequences feel like they have been ripped by J.K. Rowling straight from J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” and I can already see one particular scene towards the end of the book being represented as a Helms Deep style sequence in the upcoming film adaptation.

Characterisation wise, nothing too negative can be said. Harry himself is considerably less annoying than in previous books (Order of the Phoenix being the prime example, where he does nothing but whine for the entire book). However, there is a feeling that certain characters are dragged back from previous books with little thought of context, and then randomly killed off, heroically, but pointlessly.

Now I know this review / retrospective will anger many Potter fans, especially those who have grown up with now legendary wizard. I would like to stress that I note Rowling’s achievements; she has created one of the most popular fictional works of our age and got many people reading again, it’s just this last effort feels lackluster.

If I really wanted to rant, I would comment upon the legal case about the poor chap who ran the Potter Encyclopedia (Lexicon) on-line for free (a source which J.K. herself has admitted to reviewing when she cannot remember details about a particular character, spell or scene), who then wanted to publish extracts, only to be taken to court over intellectual property by the woman herself, who then after winning the case announced that she would be putting together an encyclopedia herself… but like I say, I shall not be ranting about what a vindictive cow she is, as that would be counterpoint to my calm and collective nature (as if).

All in all I get the distinct impression that Rowling has given up caring now that she is richer than the Queen.

N.B.  This is a flimsy final point. I would stop caring if I was that rich, although I would like to think I would also drop my facade of being dedicated to it.

It is a sad book, because a few people do die in book 7.

JK Rowling looks great now, but she is taking time off after writing the 7 books and making billions of dollars.

I wonder if she will ever write as good a series again.
