D.Gray Man – Road Kamelot

So D.Gray Man was dropped because it was all pretty much bullshit. All fillers apparently. Too bad too, because it had such promise to be a great show. I hear that the manga is really good, and I don’t doubt that, but I’m far to lazy to actually read it. However, the anime did have some sick characters, the best of them belongnig to the Noah clan. And the best of these being, of course, Road (Rhode?). She’s awesome, and here’s why:

• Her skin color is actually gray….I wonder if she can still get a cab?
• HORIZONTAL STRIPED SOCKS (or whatever those are)! YES!
• Purple hair! Helloooo, she’s gotta be in my top coolest looking characters list!

But enough about looks, she’ s awesome because she’s got that something about her, sort of an arrogance. Arrogance is awesome, especially when your dressed in high, horizantal striped socks and have purple hair and gray skin. She almost reminds me of Franken Fran with those marks on her forehead, which just adds to how cool she looks. Oh, and she likes candy. Oh, and despite her looks, she’s actually one of the oldest clan members. If you read this wikipedia page about her, you can see even more reasons why she’s one of the coolest characters ever. Sadism? Fucking awesome. Too bad Wikipedia is always sometimes wrong.

Deathnote – Light Yagami

Okay, so the way that he kills people isn’t really “bad ass.” I might even say that it probably doesn’t even feel like you’re really killing someone when all you do is write down their name and picture their face. But, God damn it, Light has got to be the best tactician in anime. Lelouch couldn’t even put up with the likes of Light. I mean, Light planned….well, I don’t want to say exactly. But the longer that the show carried on without a BAM moment, the bigger the BAM moment was when it came. And it was mainly all Light (L was cool too, in fact it took me a while to decided between Light and L..but Light got the better of L in the end, soo).

Light can almost never be outsmarted (until the inevitable end….and a kid beat him? Really? That kid was like….13 years old.)

Denpa Teki na Kanojo – Ochibana

Here’s a character who could be one of my favorites, if she wasn’t just in one OVA episode (two more are slated to come out, however). Personally, I love the hair, I love the weirdness, and if you’re ever getting beat to death by a delusional girl with a bat, she’ll somehow come get you and rescue you. She’s almost the perfect female character.

Detroit Metal City – Soichi Negishi/Johannes Krauser II

Is there anything better than an alter ego/skitso/etc? Nope. Not much. I almost thought about picking the President, because whenever she talks it’s just fucking hilarious. But come on…really?

Negishi is a pussy. Krauser kicks ass. Put them both together and you’ve got a character that sometimes loses his mind, and calls the girl he likes a pig whore, and that he’s going to rape her. Then he makes up some excuse, and she believes him. Negishi kind of sucks, but without him, Krauser would only be a little bit kick-ass awesome. I don’t know if you noticed, but Krauser raped a tower.

D.N. Angel – Emiko Niwa

I’m going to summerize this choice with one sentence:

She encourages her son to steal.

What more can you ask for?

Dragonball – Goku

I mean, come on, Goku wins in this series hands down. You can’t really go wrong with a kid who’s pretty much oblivious to everything around him, including how unnatural his own strength is, and kicks ass all over the place. He’s just fucking awesome. And he’s got a tail. You know, I used to want a tail at one point in my life, just to see what it feels like.

Dragonball Z – Vegeta

See that picture? I shouldn’t have to explain why Vegeta is the best character in DBZ. He’s fucking awesome. He’s a bad ass Sayain with a sick ass voice (dubbed version). He’s also evil (until they make a mistake and make him a good guy). He kicks ass and is the shit. Easily my favorite character in DBZ, and one of my favorite characters ever.

Dragonball GT – Goku/Vegeta Fusion

1. Monkey De Ruffy (One Piece)
karakter yang sangat kompleks. dari namanya saja sudah unik. kelihatannya memang lemah, tapi si ruffy ini memiliki kekuatan yang sangat besar. siapapun lawannya, meskipun admiral terkuatpun, akan dihadapinya jika ada yang berani mengganggu temannya.  dia adalah kapten kapal bajak laut topi jerami. meskipun berposisi sebagai kapten, tapi dia sering dibodoh2i sama anak buahnya sendiri. sifatnya terlalu gegabah dalam membuat keputusan yang sering merepotkan temannya. sifat inilah yang membuat ruffy menjadi karakter yang unik.

2. L Lawliet (Death note)
pengarang deathnote memang sangat pandai membuat karakter autis yang bisa digemari banyak orang. Lawliet contohnya. meskipun kerjanya didepan monitor terus, tapi banyak juga yang ngefans sama karakter ini. gayanya yang khas mulai cara duduknya, cara makannya, cara memegang kertas, dan kebiasaan – kebiasan aneh lainnya, meskipun terlihat aneh tapi juga terlihat keren (hah?). tapi sayangnya karakter ini tidak muncul di awal, malahan di pertengahan dia mati karena anak buahnya sudah tidak mau mendengarkan kata katanya lagi. untungnya di versi movienya L lah yang memenangkan pertarungan antar dua orang jenius ini.

3. Zack (Final fantasy VII)
banyak orang setelah memainkan final fantasy vii atau menonton advent children, pasti langsung ngefans dengan cloud. berbeda dengan saya, saya ngefans sama Zack karena game ffvii yang pertama kali kumainkan adalah ff7 crisis core dimana Zack adalah lakon utamanya. cerita zack di crisis core diceritakan kembali sebelum final fantasy vii original dimulai. zack adalah seorang soldier yang sangat kagum dengan senior2nya (angel, sephirot, genesis) dan ingin menjadi kuat seperti mereka. zack juga sangat hormat pada shinra tempat dia bekerja. tapi sayangnya satu persatu, yang dia kaguminya itu malah menjadi jahat. untungnya dia tidak kehilangan arah meskipun yang dihormatinya malah menghilang dan berbalik memusuhinya. Zack malah berhasil menyelamatkan junior yang sangat mengaguminya (cloud) dari kejaran shinra, (dan yang nantinya yang akan mengalahkan sephirot). saya juga tidak yakin dengan jalan ceritanya crisis core ini, tapi bagaimanapun juga saya tetap suka dengan karakter zack dibanding cloud.

4. Minato (Persona 3)
kalo yang ini sudah tidak usah ditanyakan lagi. karakter yang sangat khas dengan headphone dan mp3 player ini memang pantas menjadi karakter favorit. saya yakin, gamer yang sudah menamatkan atau paling tidak memainkan persona 3, pasti langsung ngefans sama minato. sifat utama minato adalah pendiam. disepanjang game, karakter inilah yang paling sedikit ngomongnya (sangat pasif). dia hanya akan bicara jika ada yang menanyainya. selebihnya minato cuma jadi pendengar saja. sifat pendiam inilah yang membuat minato menjadi cool. tapi jangan salah, meskipun dia pendiam ternyata minato adalah seorang playboy (bagi yang berhasil memaksimalkan semua social link). wali kelasnya yang cewek saja diembat. sayangnya, meskipun keren, tapi takdirnya digame ini adalah mati diusia muda. yap, minato mati karena mengorbankan dirinya untuk menyelamatkan dunia dari kiamat besar.

5. Joker (Batman)
meskipunn joker adalah karakter jahat di dark night, tapi saya tetap memilih joker sebagai karakter favorit dibandingkan karakter utamanya (si om batman). joker mungkin adalah psikopat yang paling seram didunia. motifnya bukan karena uang, tapi hanya untuk bersenang senang. ia tidak segan membunuh orang yang tidak bersalah untuk menggapai kemauannya. charisma dan intelegensinya juga sangat tinggi. dia mampu bekerja sama dengan siapapun meskipun dia adalah bos mafia. dia juga pandai mengadu domba, dan ini terbukti berhasil karena joker mampu memanas2i two face hingga ia menjadi jahat.

6. Palom dan porom (Final fantasy 4)
meskipun penampakannya di final fantasy 4 cuma sebentar, tapi sikembar yang sering bertengkar ini sudah memberikan kesan yang menarik. apalagi melihat karakternya yang lucu – lucu. skill magic kerjasamanya juga keren. sungguh komposisi yang sangat menarik. tapi sayangnya dia harus meninggal di usia yang sangat masih muda karena harus mengorbankan dirinya menyelamatkan cecil dkk dari jebakan. padahal awalnya, porom dan porem cuma ingin mengikuti cecil karena ingin berpetualang. dan elder dari myssidia berpesan kpd cecil untuk menjaga dua anak kecil itu dan cecil pun tidak masalah menyetujuinya. tapi yang terjadi malah kebalikannya, porom dan porenlah yang harus menyelamatkan cecil dengan tubuh kecilnya itu.. wah, kasihan sekali. bodoh bgtlah si cecil nih.

7. Link (Legend Of Zelda)
saya mulai menyukai karakter ini di seri phantom of hourglass (mugen no sunadokei). tidak seperti karakter rpg lainnya yang berkembang levelnya sepanjang permainan, zelda tidak memiliki level. saya menyukai karakter ini, karena memiliki banyak sekali alat alat atau senjata yang unik yang dipakai dalam berpetualang seperti boomerang, pedang, tameng pemantul, tali, botol kosong dll.

8. Prince (Prince of persia)
Prince memiliki gaya bertarung yang sangat akrobatik. dia bisa membunuh lawannya secara diam diam maupun secara frontal sama baiknya. selain gaya bertarungnya yang akrobatik, prince juga bisa melakukan parkeour untuk melewati setiap rintangan di petualangannya seperti loncat dari gedung ke gedung, memanjat, bergelantungan, dll. selain itu prince juga memiliki kekuatan yang sangat ingin dimiliki oleh semua orang, yaitu bisa mengendalikan waktu. hal ini sangat membantu, jika ia melakukan kesalahan kesalahan dalam melakukan aksinya seperti terjatuh saat parkeour, maka ia dengan mudah bisa kembali kebeberapa saat yang lalu untuk mengulanginya atau memperlambatnya. yaah, meskipun cuma beberapa detik, tapi pasti akan sangat berguna untuk dipakai dikehidupan sehari hari.

9. Prinny (Disgaea series, Prinny : can i really be the heroes?)
Karakter paling konyol yang pernah kulihat. prinny sebenarnya adalah manusia yang dikutuk karena pada saat kehidupannya didunia, sering melakukan hal hal kejahatan. prinny ini sering jadi bulan2annya enna. kadang biasa jadi sarung tinju untuk melampiaskan kemarahannya. nah, jadi bagi kalian yang tidak ingin jadi seperti  prinny ini, maka janganlah sering sering berbuat kejahatan didunia.. haha.. swt

sebenarnya masih banyak karakter favoritku, tapi pusing untuk mengurutkannya. maka saya gabung saja disini.
Tidus (ff10), tony tony chopper (one piece), dante (devil may cry), genesis (ffvii crisis core), onion knight (ff3),  Laharl (disgaea), snake (metal gear solid), eve (parasite eve).

öyle animeler vardır ki, yan karakterler ana karakterden daha dolu ve ilgi çekicidir. işte bleach buna verilebilecek en güzel örneklerden biridir. İchigo Kurosaki adlı 15-16 yaşındaki turunc kafalı bir arkadaşımızdan bahsediyoruz ana karakter derken. olayı ne peki bu arkadaşın? ufak bir özet geçecek olursak, ruhları görebilme yeteneğine sahip bu elemanın hayatı bir gün kuchiki rukia adlı shinigami (deathnote izleyenler bilirler, japon kültüründe önemli bir müessesedir. üstünden sonra daha detaylı geçeriz ancak şimdilik azrail tadında bir varlık diyelim) ile karşılaşması sonucu değişir ve shinigami güçleri edinerek , ikame shinigami (evet aynen böyle bir titri var kendisinin) olarak yaşamına devam eder. tabi türlü aksiyonlar, komiklikler, şakalar falan hayatının bir parçası olur.

I went to Otakon 2009, my first anime convention ever. Of course, this happened in July, and I had written up an entry for it before, but I wanna share on my blog! So here is my adventure that was Otakon back in July, I hope to go back next year!

I didn’t take Mikuru (my Fraulein) with me because I was scared of breaking her sexy legs XD But packing was horrible. I first packed in a huge bag and dad informed me that my suitcase wouldn’t fit in the tiny car. So I couldn’t even study properly for my exam the next day just thinking about it, so I packed all over again at 1 am XD Good thing I did, because dad was right, even my tiny suitcase was a tiny squeeze in the car because we had four people all together, along with food and their luggage. It was a tight squeeze Xp But about the notebook in the top pic, I got it on a shopping expedition with my L Button the other week, but I never used it. I decided it would be my Otakon notebook! So I wrote down the prices of some of the stuff I was interested in getting in the Dealers room, to make sure I didn’t pay too much or if the price wasn’t too fishy. It actually came quite in handy! My entire Otakon trip is in this notebook, always stopping to write down what I saw and how tired and hungry I was Actually… some of the entries don’t make all too much sense, you could kinda tell when I had had enough XD But I treasure this notebook now; it holds my Otakon schedule, what panels I went to, who I saw, and it ’s like… the only real thing that captured me 24/7! But now that Otakon is over, I have no idea what I’m gonna use this for XD It’s also filled with doodles from when I had to wait in line for panels.

I didn’t feel the trip there at all. Autumn (This is her nickname that she uses online, I don’t know if she’ll want me using her real name on here, so this is my friend that invited me.) and I picked up K and her bf J, which I was a bit nervous about at first because it’s like, oh, a couple, they’ll be kissing and being all lovey dovey. They were lovey dovey, but I LOVED it. They are the cutest couple I’ve ever met, and two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I stuck with them almost the entire time. The times I wasn’t with them I was in my ~exploring~ mode and wandered completely on my own. By the time we reached this stage, we had sung, eaten chips, talked about previous cons, and Autumn and K seem to have the same tastes in anime, so Justin and I were like “We don’t really know these ” To my horror I found that most of the anime’s I’ve seen have super cute girls in them and very sad story lines. How time changes us <3

Once we got our ticket, I felt exhausted. Autumn let her friends (the other 5 people that were staying with us in the hotel room, there were 9 of us all together.) cut, so they sat around afterwards and looked at the program booklet and planned out their days. I ditched and went to look for K and J. Our roommates weren’t too social towards us, so we kinda stuck with each other. Autumn knew them from before, so we let her stay with them too. Once in the room with the other two, we looked through the booklet together and I wrote down my plan in the little blue notebook! The panels looked great, but I had to miss some to catch others. Like the Yaoi panel, I missed it for the Yuri one. Worst decision ever. The Yuri panel sucked. And we all had to choose where to sleep. K and J got a bed, the others got some spots on the floor and the other bed, and I was like… “I’m not sleeping by the door, screw that.” So I looked in the closet and saw that it was quite roomy. So I grabbed that. One of the best decisions I made all trip Sleeping on the floor still sucked though. When the others made too much noise, I just closed the door and rolled over in the darkness haha!

The guy with the controller was like, controlling people cosplaying video game characters, and it was pretty awesome to watch!

HMM I WONDER WHO THIS IS. Thank you for letting us cut your wonderful self at the Sailor Moon Hentai panel, that was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen XDDD PAPILLON ROSE!!!! I’m on a mission to find that! look at that guy next to us. He’s so happy.

I found Ruby at the How to Draw Yuri panel, and it was a very… unique meeting XD I was like “HI IM (Vixums).” and she was like ‘…whut?” And I sat down next to her and talked about her costume and how I like Yugioh too, and all things egyptian while she just stared at me. Then I asked her her name, and she was like “…My pen name is Ruby, but… my name is (Vixums) too!!” And we were astounded that we found another (Vixums) that liked Yugioh! Perhaps it runs with the names XD And we were both aching to draw some Yuri haha! Too bad that panel was just a bunch of girls drawing and ignoring their audience the entire time. So Ruby and I turned to each other and said, “lets draw some hot porn.” And that’s what we did. I used Bonn and Vixena as models XDDD They’re going straight to her in her package because… yeah, it’s flithy.

Death Note (デスノート, Desu Nōto?) is a series of two live-action Japanese films released in 2006 and based on the Death Note manga and anime series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The films primarily center on a university student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. The two films were directed by Shūsuke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan.

A spin-off film directed by Hideo Nakata, titled L: Change the World, was released on February 9, 2008.

Plot

The series is about Light Yagami, a young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. Forgive me, but learning that Hollywood had plans of creating a remake of my favorite anime turned into awesome movie Deathnote gave me unwanted flashbacks of Hollywood’s version of Dragonball… if you know what I’m saying.

Deathnote, the story of a cunning young man who tried to rid the world of all evil with the help of a mysterious notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. In the course of the story, a detective, whose intelligence rivaled the former, appeared to unravel the mysteries of the constant killing during that time.

L Lawliet – my beloved character. When someone mentions Deathnote, I admit that the first person I think of is L.

To those who watched Japan’s adaptation, can anyone seriously think of a Hollywood actor who can portray the role as powerfully as Ken’ichi Matsuyama did? Cause until now, I still can’t  picture anyone on L’s role after seeing Matsuyama’s flawless performance.

But wait! I know! Maybe Hollywood can ask HIM (Matsuyama) to play L’s role again!

Why not??? I might change my mind.

Sinopsis
Yagami Light es un excelente estudiante japonés que ha tenido una vida aburrida. Esto cambia radicalmente cuando encuentra tirado en el suelo un misterioso cuaderno que tiene DEATH NOTE (Cuaderno de la muerte) escrito en la portada. Light se mantiene escéptico hasta que lo visita Ryuk, un shinigami (Dios de la muerte) que le explica sobre la existencia de dicha especie y las Death notes. El cuaderno es usado para matar a todos quienes se escriba su nombre, por lo que Light decide usarlo para limpiar el mundo de maldad.

Pronto, las numerosas muertes sin explicación de criminales capta la atención de la policía, la cual pide ayuda a un misterioso detective conocido mundialmente como “L”. L se da cuenta que el asesino, conocido por la gente como “Kira” (Por el hecho de sonar casi igual a la palabra “Killer” , se encuentra en Japón y que puede matar sólo con conocer el nombre y el rostro de una persona. Ambos empiezan una pelea por ver quien es más inteligente y lograr exponer al otro.

the popular music video to Korean Pop artist G-Dragon’s new song is out. the song is titled “Heartbreaker” and is accompanied by a pretty flashy performance. G-Dragon is a member of another popular Kpop group known as Big Bang which we introduced in a past post. while watching this video he really reminded me of Lady Gaga if she were a flamboyant asian male LOL. between the bleached hair, the eye makeup, and the style of dance, it all makes sense.

the song itself is pretty catchy and the video is somewhat tolerable. i enjoy some of the clothing choices while hating some as well. i also just realized that he reminds me of Mello from Death Note. coincidence? i think not.

After the successful celebration of WonFest Summer ‘09 comes another figure related celebration titled “Tokyo Figure Show. Image is the PVC Release of Selvaria Bless of Valkyria Chronicles.

Tokyo Figure Show is held at the H&M store in Harajuku from the 4th to the 9th of August every day between 13.00 and 18.00. Admission is free. Figmas, PVC Figurines, Nendoroids & Mechas of recent and upcoming releases are showcased in the said event. Below are some of the exhibit materials available for viewing inside the venue.

We start our coverage with snapshots of Saber Lily Distant Avalon, Canaan, Hatsune Miku VNO2 and Black Rock Shooter (V2).

Next up are some Figma line for Lucky Star Summer Seifuku, Acsta Subaru of Nanoha StrikerS, K-ON! Nendoroids, Chiaki Nendo of Minami-Ke & Nendoroid Excelica.

Continuing with the festivities, More Nendoroid goodness in the form of our lovely Vocaloid Characters, Lucky Star Nendoroids, and Mirai Suenaga FIGMA and more FIGMA releases. For those who are wondering who Mirai Suenaga is. Mirai is the mascot of the famous site “DannyChoo.com”.

Last time I set up arch on my desktop pc (my laptop’s still broken :-\), I installed the i686 version in order to use it with colinux, too. I’ve figured out that colinux did not really work as good as expected – XServer crashed often (both XMing and Cygwin/X) as well as no Pulseaudio Server working with Windows Vista x86 (bad choice anyway) and it was too slow. The only good way to work with it was via Terminal. In the end I didn’t boot Win6 often and used arch all day. But what is Archlinux i686 on a x86_64 processor? Bullshit! So I did the reinstall.

On the Windows side btw, I decided to use Win7. Why? It is just up to date and not as fucked up as Vista. M$ made a step in the right direction here. I downloaded the build 7232 x86_64 somewhere and installed it. Oh and I haven’t booted it since then yet, because I use it just for games that don’t run with Linux (none installed yet) – and I don’t play these too often anyway.

Now to Archlinux. x86_64 here of course, with arch32 chroot. While the last one is making some trouble with wine and Alsa is not working as wanted yet (no mic), the rest of it runs pretty well. For the design I chose a less colorful one, so it is completely different compared to the Joker one (which I don’t really like anymore).

Shinigami own notebooks called “Death Notes” which are used as killing devices. Whoever’s name they write down in a death note will die within 40 seconds. Shinigami Ryuk dropped his Death Note in the human world where it’s found by honor high school student Light. With the death note actually having directions in it for its use, Light discovers he now has the power to discreetly kill people, and with this new power he plans to change the world in his ideal world by killing off criminals. Yamada, 45 tuổi, là một người bình thường, luôn bị các đồng nghiệp trêu chọc và chỉ có Old Miss là đối xử tốt với Yamada.

Một hôm, một đồng nghiệp của Yamada thấy ông ta quyên góp 1,000 yên cho một ngôi đền. Sau khi nghe nói về việc đó, Old Miss đã đi uống rượu với Yamada và hỏi ông về ngôi đền.

Yamada kể cho Old Miss về lần ông đi uống rượu về đi ngang qua ngôi đền, ông đã nhặt được một cuốn notebook bên cạnh một xác chết. Rất nhiều cái tên được viết trong cuốn notebook và cái tên cuối cùng chính là tên của người chết đó(cái chết của ngýời đó đã được TV đưa tin vào ngày hôm sau). Yamada nói với Old Miss rằng sau sự việc đó, ông không còn phải lo lắng về vấn đề tiền bạc nữa nên ông luôn quyên tiền cho ngôi đền. Sau khi nghe kể chuyện đó xong, Old Miss đã mượn Yamada cuốn notebook.

Ngay sau đó, các đồng nghiệp của Yamada bắt đầu lần lượt từng người một bị chết. Yamada nhanh chóng nhận ra chuyện gì đang diễn ra và sự nguy hiểm của cuốn notebook khi nó rơi vào tay người xấu.

Yamada lấy lại cuốn notebook và dùng nó để giết Old Miss. Cảm thấy tội lỗi vì những cái chết ông đã gây ra, Yamada quyết định tự kết liễu đời mình bằng cách viết tên mình vào cuốn notebook. Ông đã đốt cuốn notebook để không ai có thể sử dụng được nó nữa. Sau đó Yamada đã chết trong một tai nạn (cùng với khoảng thời gian cuốn notebook bị tiêu huỷ).
