The Queen Project album will be out early Summer of next year, but you can get an early listen of the amazing team-up; earlier this morning they performed a gorgeous version of Cyndi Lauper’s classic “True Colors” earlier today on NYC’s FOX5 Morning Show.

Oh…my….golly…goodness!

Forget T-Mobile and their (admittedly still great but over engineered) Liverpool Street based corporate stunt, THIS is how you do a fabulous flash mob!

Hot men girating on a white sandy beach, an amazing choice of music and a rather well known drag queen. If we’d have tried doing this in the UK, we’d all have ended up on Blackpool beach with candy floss, a donkey or two and Lily Savage!

And I LOVE that they’ve included one of my favourite songs, “Nobody’s Supposed To Be Here” (Remix) by Deborah Cox!

Thanks go to the Queen of Australia herself, Ms Kylie Minogue, for highlighting this one!

Har egentligen ont om tid att uppdatera idag på grund av skolarbete men det får vänta. Jag kunde inte hålla mig! Red carpet islandistas - Soul Train, EMAs and Latin Grammys

Islandistas have been spotted on red carpets all over the place in the last week or so – from the Soul Train Awards to the Latin Grammys and the MTV European Music Awards.

Check them out below.

Estelle has been showing up on red carpets galore in recent weeks. We saw her down south in Brazil at the Fashion Rocks event in a Manish Arora dress that thrilled some and turned off others.

We’re sure opinions will be less divided on her look at Sir Richard Branson’s Rock the Kasbah gala in Los Angeles. It’s beautiful and on trend in every way – colour, cut, fabric and shoes. A +!

She also was in form at the Soul Train Awards earlier this week, in this gold and black number.

Melanie Fiona also brought some shine to the red carpet – in pewter instead of gold, with this gorgeous one-shouldered dress with a peplum skirt. See even more red carpet looks when you read more.

Guyanese-Canadian songbird Deborah Cox (at right above with Kelly Price and Tamia) wore a somewhat more casual look – not really feeling it that much. Love the shoes though - they are mad!

At-ti-tude gyal! Leona Lewis went bold on the red carpet for the MTV European Music Awards in an eye-catching pleather and tulle dress by the queen of punk, Vivienne Westwood. This dress is so flashy that it’s definitely an opinion divider – it treads the line between daring and ridiculous. We’re going to come down on the side of daring though – we especially love that it’s ‘good girl’ Leona that’s wearing this risky look.

And Alicia Keys was gorgeous in green, wearing this Kaufman Franco dress at the Latin Grammy awards recently in Las Vegas.

I was checking out the site Gossip on This, and they stated that rumors are flying that a group of three R&B singers are trying to gain some success off of a female R&B super group featuring themselves! According to BV Buzz, singers Tamia, Deborah Cox and Kelly Price have teamed up to create a compilation album titled “The Queen Project.” Their working name is “TDK” and the name of their first single is “Queen.”

Kelly Price: “Truly I am excited because what we’re doing has never been done before with three women on CD. Each of us in our own right is a true vocalist and while I am loving what we’re doing in the studio, I just can’t wait for people to see our live show!”

Tamia: “I’m so excited to work with these ladies because I’m a fan first. It is fun and we have a really good time together. There’s something special here musically and we have a genuine bond.”

Deborah Cox: “I feel the same way. It’s really the most exciting project I’ve been a part of. We’re going to be raising the bar just a tad. It’s great to work with likeminded individuals. We have the same sentiments as singers, mothers and wives!”

The ladies are currently in LA recording songs with their producers, Shep Crawford and Warryn Campbell and are also planning to work with Babyface, R. Kelly and Raphael Saadiq. Their album is set to drop sometime in early 2010 and the trio will perform for the first time together in New York City during the Circle of Sisters expo on October 10th.

Though there is no word on what label the group will be signed to, they’ve already begun filming episodes for an upcoming reality series that they’re going to shop around to some big time TV networks in the future.
Well, we wish them the best of luck, because that would definitely be a hot group!

TDK: Tamia, Deborah Cox & Kelly Price Super R&B Group – Tamia, Deborah Cox and Kelly Price have teamed up to create the ultimate female R&B group called TDK. TDK is currently in the studio with some heavy weights that include Babyface, R. Kelly and Raphael Saadiq. The trio is expected to drop a compilation album called “The Queen Project” with the lead single entitled “Queen” next year.

It is revealed that Tamia has united with fellow female singers Deborah Cox and Kelly Price under the moniker of TDK. They are now busy working with producer Shep Crawford (Whitney Houston) for their first compilation project called “The Queen Project”.

“My goal was to highlight the amazing talents individually, while blending them together to unite for this mega project,” Shep told BV Buzz about the group’s album. “This is a unique union that will provide the music you have come to expect from these three superstars.”

Each member of the newly-formed group also offered their comment. Kelly said, “Truly I am excited because what we’re doing has never been done before with three women on CD. Each of us in our own right is a true vocalist and while I am loving what we’re doing in the studio.”

In the same tone, Tamia stated, “It is fun and we have a really good time together. Breaking news of the group’s formation via BV Buzz, Cox says “It’s really the most exciting project I’ve been a part of. We’re going to be raising the bar just a tad.”

“It’s great to work with likeminded individuals. We have the same sentiments as singers, mothers and wives!”

According to Cox, Price and Tamia, the group has been dubbed TDK — Tamia, Deborah and Kelly.

While a label home has not been revealed for the group’s forthcoming debut, a compilation album titled “The Queen Project,” the trio says a single titled “Queen” will lead the effort.

“Truly I am excited because what we’re doing has never been done before with three women on CD,” Price told BV Buzz.

TDK is reportedly recording songs in Los Angeles with noted producers Warryn Campbell (Mary Mary) and Shep Crawford (Heather Headley).
