Yes. I know. The Twinkies/Hostess Era seems to be on the last legs. Matter of fact it is on the last

Yes. I know. The Twinkies/Hostess Era seems to be on the last legs. Matter of fact it is on the last legs. Now from what I’ve been hearing about the reasons why is the fault of the Unions, or the Union Backers. Partially the most that should be the fault on the Corporations or the CEO’s . I say that because it usually is in terms of high structure. It’s like when a football team per say loses the game, who does the blame usually goes to? Usually – the head coach. So in this case, the head coach of the Company is at fault in which the 18,000+ jobs are being eliminated due to this. And a far as unions are concerned, most folks believe that the unions are the bad seed of the nation. But don’t forget: if it haven’t been for unions, there wouldn’t be those 40 hour work weeks, vacation pay, holiday pay and many others that most POLITICALLY don’t usually understand. But they better understand.

Now since the Twinkies, Cup Cakes, Suzy Q’s, and many others by the Hostess Company may be reaching the end in America, this is where I have to bust out and comment. If those of us who really bought the last stacks of these things with admiration, where was all of this before it? I’m just saying it’s like when Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson died, most of us got back into their music and videos with love, but showed a little of it when they were living, oh, and also those scandals too. Yeah, we remember those. Many of us still got those soundbytes at home stored up for memory. However for the Twinkies, they were and are not going to get you into heaven. I’ve seen reports and even Ebay ads about individuals selling them for more than they bought in the store. I mean, paying about $2,000.00+ for a box of Twinkies is I hate to say this, is ridiculous. I mean, who in their mind would go on Ebay and pay 2 Grand for snacks? I know if those have the money they would go and spend it. I mean that 2,000 dollars can be useful for car payments or paying your last cell phone bill. I’m just saying.

Well, I want to say this: Yes, the Twinkies have been a staple of snacks in our lunches, dinners, food stashes, late night cravings, parties, church functions, joys, concerns, congratulations of promotions, or just that extra snack to get from the corner store, Walgreens, Walmart, Pick N Save, Roundy’s or a vending machine, the Twinkies will always be remembered just like the other snacks that Hostess has been serving us since it’s started. Now, it’s all ending due to corporate stuff. Now there might be talks that the food might resurrect with another company or division, but whatever happens, most folks will believe that supporting this product of food should have been a priority of support, not just for the corporations, but also for the Unions, Supporters, and generally the American Public that actually gives a “you know what” for support. It’s like supporting your local products or causes.

Today, I needed to laugh. Really I had to. In the yet again wake of President Obama’s victory

Today, I needed to laugh. Really I had to. In the yet again wake of President Obama’s victory on November 6th, and also the Republican crew are still in denial that he won AGAIN, the story has gone from David Petraus’ affair to states seceding from the Union (which will not happen), the wackiness continued in terms of Blacks, Latinos, Young Voters getting “free gifts” and now: the two wackiest stories of the day in regarding the GOP’s from Georgia, and of all places in America: Maine.

For the GOP Georgia folks, oh this is a trip. Their top GOP Lawmakers had a briefing in regarding a Secret Obama mind controlling plot. HOLD THE PHONE. Seriously, Georgia?!! Mind control? Hypnosis still in effect? Let me go Walt Disney on this: “Bippity Boppity BOO!’ (insert laughter)

Seriously?! My God! In this meeting, there were a bunch of lawmakers looking at a hour flick about Obama’s mind control. About what may I ask? Getting a new Nintendo WiiU before Sunday? Forget about Seceding from the Union, some of these dudes need to be seceded from their everyday stuff and turn in a mental institution Are the crazy houses open? I hope when Sunday comes: please go to church. Please ask God to come into your soul and restore you to normalcy to get America going again. And that goes for anyone else in the UNION that feels like this. Obviously this is one story I think that will make the crazy lists of 2012. Talk about political humor. And plus Obamacare does cure pre-existing conditions!

For this: shout out to the African American Brothers and Sisters in Maine. And for the record, I know and share the pain of getting asked “is there black people there?” Stuff. For me, I’m from Wisconsin and yes we do have black folks here. Mostly in the Southeastern part of the state. In an article, one of the Maine’s GOP head person believed that voter fraud was rapid in the state on election day all because many black people voted. Now, that is strange for one, and I know folks have already asked this: “There are black people in Maine?!!”

According to the Wikipedia stats, Maine’s black population is around 1.1%. The Census has the percentage around 1.3%. For the Wisconsin black folks, 6.5% . (Overall)

Maine’s largest city of Portland has 7.1% for blacks while the Ill-Mil of Milwaukee has around 33%.

The state capitol population for blacks in Augusta, Maine: 0.50%. For Wisconsin’s capitol of Madison’s black population percentage: 7.07%

For the electoral votes: Maine has 4 ; Wisconsin has 10; and both went for President Obama in the 2012 Election.

Yes, and I know that mostly by now that even though it’s a state that doesn’t get that much talked about, Maine does have black people. But for the GOP person wondering about the black folks living there and coming out to vote was strange and wacky. If he knew there were black folks living in Maine, persay, why did the person, Charlie Webster had to bring it up? On all days, Election Day? Really?

Yeah, I needed to laugh today. That hypnosis thing was crazy. And still the denial to the Republican right still lingers. And I think the result of that is the truth: Obama Won. Romney Lost. And the Inauguration is around the corner.

Just a note: Feel free to examine the black side of Maine by visiting these sites:

Black Girl In Maine:- I found this blog through another site, and also on Facebook.

It’s really a blog.

Well. Apparently Mitt Romney is still on ends about his defeat from last Tuesday I thought in his c

Well. Apparently Mitt Romney is still on ends about his defeat from last Tuesday I thought in his concession speech that he maned up and admit that losing to Barack Obama was the stone cold truth. Well, just recently the free gifts comment out of Mitt Romney just surfaced. Matter of fact, they surfaced out of Bill O’Reilly in terms of Americans in the country want things. Well, as a Minority African-American myself I want things too. But the thing that the got me the most with this “free gifts” thing, was indeed coming from Mitt Romney. Here’s what he stated:

“The president’s campaign, if you will, focused on giving targeted groups a big gift,” Romney said in a call to donors Wednesday. “He made a big effort on small things.”

Courtesy of USA Today, here is a summary of the talk about things or free gifts continued for Minorities:

Romney called his loss to Obama a disappointing result that he and his team had not expected, but he said he believed his team had run a superb campaign. He said he was trying to turn his thoughts to the future, “but, frankly, we’re still so troubled by the past, it’s hard to put together our plans for the future.”

Romney’s finance team organized the call to donors. A person who listened to Romney’s call provided details about it to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the call was private. The Los Angeles Times first reported Romney’s remarks.

Among the “gifts” Romney cited were free health care “in perpetuity,” which he said was highly motivational to black and Hispanic voters as well as for voters making $25,000 to $35,000 a year.

Romney also said the administration’s promise to offer what he called “amnesty” to the children of illegal immigrants — what he termed “the so-called DREAM Act kids” — helped send Hispanics to the polls for Obama.

Young voters, Romney said, were motivated by the administration’s plan for partial forgiveness of college loan interest and being able to remain on their parents’ health insurance plans. Young women had an additional incentive to vote for Obama because of free contraception coverage under the president’s health care plan, he said.

So wait. Is this what Romney is mad about? And those donors, fans of Mittens are angry about also? I woke up laughing at this and saying to myself. We all want things! For those of us who are African-American, Latino, Young Voters, and many others who want to chime in, since the Tea Party came and went, it’s time to form a party (with the support of President Barack Obama 2nd Term) that this has birthed. Start up a party like – The Minority Americans Free Gifts Party. Or The Free Gifts Party of America. I have stated on Facebook that that free gift I got was volunteering for the Re-Election Obama Campaign in Wisconsin recently, and that was a free gift within itself. As far as free gifts of health, education, and others I (like many others) will continue to get more of those while still living. Free gifts. WOW. And my Birthday and Christmas is around the corner in December. Plus the GOP gave the Democrats a new gift of progressiveness in which they now must fear.

What I am also surprised even those in the Republican Party came out and condemned Romney for the so-called “free gifts” comments. Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal and what’s this: Scott Walker condemns this also? The same Scott Walker was on a Union Busting, Train slashing, Education crapping campaign in order to reveal against the Recall thing, comes out against Mitt Romney. Well if Scott Walker actually cared against his Republican Counterpart like Romney, why crapped on Wisconsin? Laughable.

Once again, President Obama won fair and square. Period. And as far as the next blog about Susan Rice, I’ll get to that next.

In the wake of President Obama’s victory this past Tuesday alot or some companies feel that

In the wake of President Obama’s victory this past Tuesday alot or some companies feel that “Blaming Obama is their solution to fire workers or letting them go just to save their worthless hides. Personally, they are just like the folks who like to post racial tweets and Facebook bad comments about the President. COWARDS!

And the companies? Well let’s see what the companies has on the “Blame Obama” list:

1) Applebee’s : Hold up. This is a family restaurant, right? Where everyone has to feel like they’re at home? Well apparently, Applebees’s CEO Zane Tankel, recently just announced that the company is firing employees and freeze hiring all because of President Obama’s Re-Election. Talk about shady. So technically the CEO wouldn’t hire all because of not providing health coverage? Really shady. I mean yes folks have a right to work and earn, but maintaining their medical statues is FAR important to make sure that every employee is covered with some medical back up.

2) Papa John’s: I’m thinking Papa John’s is going to lose revenue on Sunday’s. Especially around football season. Their CEO, John Schnatter wouldn’t give his employees who work at the pizza places a reduction in work hours in the wake of Obama’s Re-election. And of top of that, he would raise the prices by three cents just to avoid the healthcare stuff that the President proposed.

Initially, these companies and others are just bringing out the woodwork that they are in denial about Obama’s victory. Just admit it. Mitt Romney talked a good debate game in the minds of others: BUT HE LOST! I told you Romney Fans. If I were a true Real Romney Fan and/or Republican Fan, I wouldn’t get so happy as of yet of that first debate. In other words: I TOLD YOU SO! For those who are still in denial that yet again President Obama is STILL the 44th President, and STILL the President, and STILL in the White House that blacks built, in the words of others: GET OVER IT. The same group of folks who keep telling us black folks to get over slavery, and it didn’t happen to you. Or the same folks that told that John Kerry got played back in 2004 when Bush was re-elected. Oh wait. Some of you reading this might be the same folks! Coincidence! And having this feeling of wanting to be “isolated” from the United States to “form your own country.” I mean our neighboring countries and others are gladly to hear to revoke your citizenship in all, just because Obama won YET AGAIN.

I’ll say this in the words of some of you who feel this way:

America: LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!

Does that ring a bell? Or this might be something from a movie:

“People say that if you don’t love America, then get the hell out. Well, I love America. ” – Born on the Fourth of July – 1989

I read the negative commentaries this morning on the Facebooks, the Twitters, Sherwin Hughes’ viewpoint on WNOV in Milwaukee, oh yes. I read and heard them all. So what those mean to tell me that those of my color can’t be a free world leader? Seriously?!!! I’ve seen black folks in Canada, Ghana or any part of Africa, including Australia or different parts of the globe, that are BLACK and Leaders. I’ve seen them through pictures. If they can flawlessly be leaders of their respective countries while being black, why can’t that be the same with the United States? Before Obama, black leaders were always on the scene. But not just in the Oval Office as President. This country had 43 White guys in the row to serve as the number 1 guy in the country, but when comes along Obama, some have decided “Oh, this is a sad day in America.” Because why, your guy didn’t get in? Or is it because you’re used to see black folks leading anything but the Oval Office? NEWSFLASH: All that changed after 2008.

Black folks, it’s time to tell ourselves and others that we can lead, direct, organize, supervise in any office, building, mansion anywhere. Including the White House. Many of us need to also realize that probably Racism is still a firewall in America. No matter what we try to achieve or maintain of being the first African-American this or that, or second. There will be the opposition of telling us that were still the N-words. Don’t let that stand in our way. It’s hard for me to write this, but it’s a reality. And that reality that most that are saying this, just couldn’t take the cake. Well you know what, previously BUSH was re-elected and I couldn’t swallow the oatmeal for days during the second term. But hey, Obama haters, I survived.

So the next time if we visit another country, most may ask:

“Who’s the President of the United States?” – President Barack Obama.

“Who was elected twice after George W. Bush? – President Barack Obama.

“Who got the troops out of Iraq, took out Osama Bin Laden and soon to be Afganistan?” – That’s easy. President Barack Obama

“In the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Elections, Sen. John McCain and Gov. Mitt Romney were defeated by whom?” – President Barack Obama.

“In the Military between 2009-2016, per say, who was the Commander in Chief?” – President (or Mr.) Barack Obama.

“And by the way, who was responsible of bringing back Master Lock to Milwaukee, and decide to do some nation building here at home, plus bringing in 5 Million Jobs and counting?” And do not say George W. Bush! Real answer – President Barack Obama.

So if those that are still denial, face the music. President Barack Obama may not be the President that favors you. But he is the President regardless. Like it or lump it Americans! You can still have those fake maps of the Conservatives winning more Red States and less Blue States all you want. But that will never change the fact that Obama got 332 Electoral Votes over Mitt Romney’s 206 Electoral Votes. Plus getting the popular vote. In the words of a 90′s rap song: WHOOMP THERE IS!

Even though that the United States is days removed from the Election, I like many others are pleased

Even though that the United States is days removed from the Election, I like many others are pleased that President Barack Obama is STILL the President of the United States. I am also pleased that most of us who gave him the 332 votes over Mitt Romney’s 206 votes can simply give him additional working time to hear his ideas and input to get this country, the United States of America, moving forward. Just as a reminder, it was “Minority Rules” that jolted the First African-American President to repeat as the number 1 guy in the country.

But sadly……. Not every one is happy. I’m not just talking about the Republicans, who once again that their ideas of gathering followers to overtake the White House, did not work! Period. This also includes Mitch McConnell’s comment of denying Mr. Obama a second term. Well Mr. McConnell, you were wrong! The folks, like myself and others have spoken with our ballots on Election Day, and the Obama Crew is still in charge. He like others in Congress better compromise to make fair equal deals to think about those who really need those jobs, those Meds, housing, and many others that most Americans are having a hard time with currently.

Now to the average citizens who like Social Media so much and like to paint this “hate” on the President, you all better pay attention. And I must say that your tweets, your Facebook pages/pics/comments, your Instagram pics, your Google Plus stuff, your MySpace, TweetDeck, Youtube, or any other “anti-Obama” thing in terms of going after him for hateful reasons on social media, and even the blogs I should point out, is going to catch up with with you. I don’t care if you made a joke about it. Like that punk 18 year old of a rich guy just said. The Secret Service IS NOT playing around in terms of things like this. If they see it, they will get YOU. They are dead serious when it comes to protect the President. On any given day. You guys don’t speak for me as a citizen of the nation. But you are speaking for those who will have no life, no goals, no education, no reason to hate but to hate!

In plain English: YOU ALL SUCK!

In the words of some intentional folks: Pathetic Americans.

I’m sure that your Mommies and Daddies are so proud of you. And if you’re younger, or in college, are you still that “good student” that your teachers claimed to be? Or that great employee that your employers look to? After what you put on the social media stuff, your chances of getting into college or the military may NOT be very promising. Or better yet, how about that good paying job to get after graduation? Uh-Huh, I have to go there. This is not a game. You want to go to jail? You want to go to Federal Prison, or be held in contempt in all? FINE. Be my guest! Don’t say I did not warn you.

When George W. Bush was running the country, I never made any “go after him on hurtful things” because of the fact not only he was the President, but this guy as controversial as he was, he had a family. The same with Bill Clinton. And I have to watch my words even closely with the current President. Now getting back, so you guys are assuming that we African-Americans should be just in the back and guys like you are supposed to be ALWAYS up front just guarding the gate. Well let me tell you. Yes, we guarded the gate but we took the gate back to move forward. We BUILT the gate also. You say you want your country back. Well back from whom? I want America to move forward with better chances of me looking for a job as well as an investment. I hear all this talk about Obama supporters supposed to have this “free phone” and a Chevy Volt. For me, I have a prepaid cell phone from AT&T, and drive a Pontiac Grand Prix. And they were bought and paid for! What’s your reaction to that? Oh, nothing. And plus, I work and volunteer. Plus I am an African American single male that is NOT ashamed of giving back. I was brought up on that!

And here’s a surprise, I volunteered with the Obama Re-Election Campaign in terms of giving back. Again NOT ASHAMED!

I’ll bet you’re the same folks who like to hide behind the keyboards, with the porn sites tuned up, Facebooking/Video Game playing all day not having a job, having this thing of being hardcore. I’ve seen ECW Wrestlers hardcore! I’ve seen MMA fighters, Mike Tyson, and even the late great Reggie White being HARDCORE! You the Haters of the 44th President are just that. Haters.

Having Anger Towards Everyone Reaching Success.

And I’m assuming that in the next couple of years, there might be talks and say “Oh we were just joking. I was expressing my Freedom Of Speech.” Well let tell you about that Freedom Of Speech thing. Yeah it’s in the American DNA, but having the power to use that Freedom of Speech is a Responsibility. Lots of the idiots who expressed their hate against President Obama online, are hiding behind the Freedom of Speech like pathetic cowards who don’t work, (or partially work) or don’t go to school to be educated,(or in school) re-educated, or just trying NOT to help (and assist) the community, country and I dare say the globe. EVEN VOTE. It’s Americans like THEM are dragging this country down, and making the world laughing at us. Hell, the world in other countries love Obama more than America. And I’ll bet many are asking why. Don’t forget, America maybe has the moniker of the land of the free, be what you want in all. BUT it still has a race problem. There was survey conducted that 51% of those living here in state side, admit having the haterism against Blacks. Does that tell you anything? Just like the white chick Ann Coulter who thought the country doesn’t have any real racism anymore, or asking where are the racist? Well Ann, have you paid attention to the twitter feeds after Obama won? There are your “racists”. Try that, Jezebel! I should point out that when they type things that are “closely racist”, what kind of a person does that make them? In the minds of others, a racist, a bigot, or just plain nasty. Thank You! Word of advice: watch your words. And I’ll bet most of them are having the statements of “I have alot of black friends”. Well if they do, do they say or intimidate them with the rhetoric? Maybe Denise Helms should thought about that instead of Facebooking or Twittering her mess out of her mouth! And she says that she doesn’t hate other races. Excuse me? Does she know what the N word really means? Better get educated chick!

But don’t worry, the U.S. Secret Service is always on the case. And they don’t mess around. Even in cyberspace.

Back to the haters again: I’ll bet you wanted Romney to win to restore that “take back the country” thing. Or in this case to dethrone Obama for the greater good of non-ethnics like you wanted to “keep the white in the white house”. Just a reminder to you uneducated buffoons, that Blacks built the white house. Look it up! Google it. Facebook it. Or matter fact, if you’re smart enough to go online, why don’t you go to your libraries or bookstore and get “The Black History of the White House.” Yeah, do that! If you’re not scared. Oh, I’ve heard and read this on other platforms that this is just the beginning. Well, that fight started way before Obama got the chair in the White House.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll keep saying it until Obama’s last day as President: If you don’t like Obama, DON’T TALK (comment, Facebook Tweet, Instagram, flash a racist pic) about him! PLAIN AND SIMPLE! And that goes for any other person of ethnicity or gender that wants to be President!

GOOD DAY AMERICANS!

And by the way: Obama haters, you have been called out to be accountable!

Source: Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel

The 2012 Election that got us glued to make a choice for America is done. I made a new years resolution since January 1st of this year that Barack Obama will repeat as President of the United States. Well…………who won? Come on. Admit it. Say it. Say it………That’s ok. Most already know.

If any American, or a political guru analyst (ala Nate Silver) was hanging on every single official Electoral College Vote last night, most did predict that Barack Obama had a slim chance of winning the second term. Now for those who me know this: the Electoral College is the poll I follow! All of that preliminary stuff didn’t mean much, but that poll of the Electoral College itself. Now since Obama has repeated as the POTUS, (President of the United States) yes, he has to get gritty for the overtime work. Hey, there is nothing wrong doing extra work on the clock! 4 Years ago this week, I didn’t know what to say. It marked the first time that an African American President ever got the White House. Thought about my late grandparents, great-grandparents and those who were around when I was born are not around now. That victory wasn’t just for me, but it was for them also! Even to those who say “I thought I would never see the day….” But keep in mind, that was 4 years ago. And by the way, this was a first time that “Minority Matters” in terms of Minority, Women and Moderates tilted the jolt for the extra innings.

Now it’s 4 years later, and the repeat has happened. For this, I would expect the Obama Crew to be more upbeat on ideas to strengthen the middle class. And the poor. I would expect the crew to revive more with Healthcare, Jobs, Environmental concerns, equal pay, transportation innovation (no more of that boondoggle crap), FEMA, our troops, all community concerns and ideals. EVEN with the black community, and the LGBT folks. And us as Citizens need to really pay attention with the noses to the grind stone of what needs to be addressed, alerted, and solved. Especially the voting stuff.

Speaking of the LGBT folks, I have two words: TAMMY BALDWIN! You’re D*mn Right! She beat, BEAT a former Wisconsin Governor, HHS Secretary, Republican Tommy Thompson. This reminds me of the August 14th Election when most folks in Milwaukee didn’t repeat with the same candidates in the black community. With all due respect, Tommy Thompson has experience in Wisconsin Politics. BUT like many others, that at times are not a factor. The same with Barack Obama vs John McCain from 2008. Lots of folks thought that McCain would have been a better choice on experience. But……it went to Barack Obama as we know. And by the way, Congresswoman Gwen Moore, Wisconsin State Senator Lena Taylor also retained their seats.

So the path is clear. Yes, I would say to the Romney folks in the words of Roland Martin, “Take your flags off your cars and make room on the couch!” Per say. For a good reason. Yes, it might be difficult in second terms, but then again there might be positives also.

Just a side note. I know that the Republicans must be eating crow that all of the Voter Suppression even Donald Trump’s “haterism” must gotten to the core of hate. All that jazz about destroying the legendary Electoral College isn’t going anywhere. Give it up haters!

What else: I believe that the so-called 2016 Obama movie will be a bust in sales. Note to the Republican fans who bought the movie, remember this. When you were defending George W. Bush for his re-election, there was movie that came out called “Fahrenheit 9/11″. The one that Michael Moore made and most of us believed that George W. Bush was hiding hidden truths about the reasons going to war in Iraq. Just a thought: We were mad as hell like you. Similarities. And the comment that Senator Mitch McConnell that the goal was to make Obama a one term President? Well, that went out the window so fast did it? Dude must be feeling salty of what he said. He ought to be. That’s what you get for being cocky. Like it or not! Oh, and those thinking about moving to Canada, or away just because Obama won, I feel sorry for them. Those who say that might end up being back here anyway. When Bush was in office, I didn’t like him, but I stayed in America and criticized the bad things that Bush did. Even going into Iraq, and “declaring” Mission Accomplished. Which it wasn’t.

I said this 4 years ago on the old MyFoxMilwaukee Blogs and I’m saying it here: Don’t like Obama? DON’T TALK ABOUT HIM! Period. He’s still the man.

Biden is still the man at VP.

The FLOTUS is still Michelle Obama.

Dr. Jill is Still Dr. Jill.

Sasha and Malia are still the first daughters.

Marian Robinson, The FLOTUS’ Mother is still the Grandmother in Chief.

And Bo is still the the first dog.

Also for the next four years: Get America working more with the ideals that the still 44th President wants to do.

Remember the ratio: 332 – 206 Enough Said.

Now comes Inauguration Day 2013.

I gotta say this before election day. I was on my Twitter/Facebook feeds and those were talking abou

I gotta say this before election day. I was on my Twitter/Facebook feeds and those were talking about, or commenting the BET Show, Black Girls Rock. From my black man’s point of view, I’m glad to see that BET has a show in which that black girls and black women can collaborate and/or appreciate the work done for their craft. But recent I had to go to the social feeds and some were just negative not only coming from the black folks, but some white folks as well. All I saw on there mostly was: “Oh, were supposed to be equal. Black Girls Rock is racist.”

FLAG ON THE PLAY!

What was so wrong about the Black Girls Rock show being racist or degrading? Where is it coming from? To quote my mother: “What is this?!” Obviously, that talk I saw on twitter and facebook must be coming from some young in’s or the “know it alls” (sort of) who felt that everything was not understanding. And I’m assuming that 2Chainz and the “Bands that make her dance” song are at fault? Come on now. Seriously, in general, what is wrong with the show, Black Girls Rock? Explain that to me. Don’t worry I’ll wait.

I don’t feel a bit concerned about folks of their opinion. However I am concerned about those who approach the subject, have a negative view of it, and don’t get the gist of it. From my understanding, Black Girls Rock, is not just an awards show. It’s also an organization in reaching out to young black girls of empowerment, achievement, goals, objectives. The person who made the organization, Beverly Bond founded the program, is a celebrity DJ, activist, Philanthropist, and previously, has been honored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Black Men: Where’s our “Rock Show?” Black Fraternities, where are you on this? I’m just asking. Not to be competitive. But I’m simply asking the question of what’s up? So I say to the so-called folks who love to stand on the soap box thinking it’s racist, think that Black Females who have no business rocking with achievements, either they must be suffering from Romneyism, or just having that low self esteem in terms that they don’t deserve it, then the hater-ism of our own will continue to erode in us. – That’s for the Black Folks. And those who are non-black and believe the nonsense that was displayed, WISE UP! It’s just like the Ebony Magazines, or anything that displays black stuff in a non-racist positive way. Let me give you an example. There was a time in history in which most of us can relate, you couldn’t see the positiveness of blacks by pictures or beauty. Wonder why Ebony Magazine, Jet Magazine and many other black related news outlets, programs, events, were created? And by the way, most wouldn’t be found in a school book! That’s right I said it. Or when we turn on the news, our news websites, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Google Plus, TweetDeck, or any other news article we grasp, we tend to look at those like Blacks in a negative light. Reminds me of that viewpoint of that test. BUT can there be black show, or a black event that showcases positiveness in blacks? Especially for today for our kids? I don’t have any children. But if I did, I would educated them about the Lena Hornes, the Dionne Warwicks, the Harry Belafontes, the Stevie Wonders, the Michael Jacksons, and yes, the Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Michelle and Barack. They believe (according to the Twitter feeds) that the 90′s and 2000′s musicians were trailblazers. NEWSFLASH, where do the 90′s 2000′s musicians get their influences from? Education is needed!

So to those again: WISE UP! If you don’t understand the reasons, then why whine and complain? – Sort of like voting.

*the microphone and soapbox has been demolished by dynamite*

Before I begin the blog, let me send my condolences to the victims and those closely to the victims

Before I begin the blog, let me send my condolences to the victims and those closely to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Or the #frankenstorm what ever it was called. Now mostly I would start off something positive but in essence I took this route in expressing sympathy.

Now then. It’s November 4th, 2012. Exactly 4 years ago this month, the then Sen. Barack Obama became the newly elected President of the United States. It was history in the making in which in my opinion was a historical mark in Presidential History. US History. And most certainly: BLACK HISTORY. Yes, I’m saying Black History not to drown the sound but to sound with glee. As I said many times before, I didn’t vote for Barack Obama “because he’s black.” Persay. I voted for him mainly for his enthusiasm and vision. The enthusiasm and vision in which America has not yet to come close to explore. The enthusiasm and vision in which none of the previous presidents never explored in terms of making a way for the better of the country. Sure these last four years have it’s ups and downs in terms of the Republican House members blocking stuff that the President proposed. And did I mention the “blue dog democrats? The rise of the so-called Tea Party, and those who thought that Barack was supposed to wave the magic wand and make everything disappear. But here’s the thing, there were blocks in the road of that also. In the last four years, equal pay was signed into law, Same Sex Marriage was clearly valid most states, the Automotive companies restarted the American Economy, the Private Sector jobs rose to about 5 Million Jobs, the Economy is moving in the right direction in attempt to rebound the job growth, The new World Trade Center is taking shape, the war in Iraq is no more, Bin Laden is dead, FEMA (uh oh) has been given mad props in conjunction of Hurricane Sandy, the crackdown on Credit Card fees, the Afghan war will be over in 2014, Affordable Health Care and many more that I think the Obama Crew (aka the Administration) has really jolted.

But with the others that haven’t been done. Oh let me count the ways of 23 Million out of work, the debt is increased, and others believe that the counter folks like Mitt Romney and the fan base are believing. They also think that the President should have taken his 4 years to get it all cleaned up. Well they need to know something: you really CAN’T take the clean up in all 4 years! Sometimes you need to get more than 4 years to get things moving again. Just as reminder, when Bill Clinton left office, the stimulus was perfect! But we know what happened after that right? I’m convinced that the BUSH failed policies got us in a rut and well, the rest history. Is the Romney folks wanting this to happen, like YET AGAIN?

And getting back to the 23 Million out of work, if the backwards congress had any sense, that jobs bill would have been in effect right now! But no, they have to be backwards to make the President look foolish.

As well as the Immigration Act, and even for those who have served in uniform.

Keep in mind this is the same Romney camp in collection with mostly Republicans that want to privatize things in America we use publically like the Post Office or FEMA. I want to say something about FEMA. When Bush was well “driving”, FEMA was late in getting to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Oh, yes Obama haters, I’m going there! And also the former head of FEMA and Fox News puts the blame on the President in their words “acting to quickly.” WHAT!!! What do they mean “acting to quickly?” I mean if a disaster does occur, do you leave it rot or do you save it from further damnation? I’m just saying. Guess which denomination responds to disasters than any other religious group out there? I’ll give you a hint, I’m a 4th Generation of this congregation. Does the United Methodist Church ring a bell? If those don’t know: the United Methodist Church is usually the first responders in terms acting quickly to a disaster area. Talk about rethinking church.

Also in the last four years, the names of the roll call of socialist, radical muslim, Nazi, go back to Kenya mess, and others have given a negative effect on the President. Oh, and those who THINK that he’s the cause of Racism mostly right now. Get off the Fox News Soap Box. Smash it up with a sledgehammer and walk away. I don’t care if it’s brought on the Facebook Politics Group Pages. Smash it off. NOW!

Even Obama brought music to the White House in a new way in terms of Hip Hop, Blues, and yes singing Sweet Home Chicago during Black History Month. Just for the record, it was the Hip Hop Fanatics drove Obama to the Chair in a “partial fashion.” Why, more on that later.

Are we better off than we were 4 years ago? Yes and no. Why I say yes and no because, yes, we’re going in a positive direction but there must be more improvement for Obama to do in the NEXT four years. So this blog, me, and those very close to me personally, will once again load the dice on the tables and ”Bet on Barack” with 7′s and 11′s in terms of him, and the Obama Crew working overtime. You know what happens when you work overtime: more pay. Other Presidents have done it before.

Just today, former President Bill Clinton made a campaign stop in Waukesha, Wisconsin in stumping for President Barack Obama in attempt to retain the chair for on November 6th. Now, for those who don’t know, Waukesha itself is a Republican Red County and Red City in Wisconsin. It’s so red that well it is. Anyway the former President summed up topics from the economy, healthcare and student loans. Plus many other areas in which that the former President highlighted. Including going after Gov. Mitt Romney and being more enthused than ever before for Obama. And for me, I had to see the former President in person. After all, I voted for him for his second term. So yes, the 42nd President was in the house, even in a Republican area of Wisconsin.

There has been alot of talk about the Benghazi attacks. And some Americans will not let that go beca

There has been alot of talk about the Benghazi attacks. And some Americans will not let that go because of some lying coming from the White House. Technically, I hear alot of the Republicans and their fan base blaming the President and the Administration of doing nothing about it. Well, apparently according to Ron Pinetta, one of Administraion members commented about the situation recently: “The U.S. military did not quickly intervene during the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya last month becausemilitary leaders did not have adequate intelligence information and felt they should not put U.S. forces at risk.”

Another comment that might be well examined in tells of defending the Situation: The “basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place,” he said during a joint question-and-answer session with Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff General Martin Dempsey.

“As a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, General Ham, General Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation,” Panetta said. General Carter Ham commands the U.S. Africa Command.

And the White House Spokesperson also commented this truthfully IN DEFENDING the President: “Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi,” National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Yahoo News by email.

Fox News and the Republican maniacs still think it was cover up on the President. Wait a minute…….Why is Fox News, oh never mind. It’s all about them trying to pimp Romney in order to get the chair for Election day. Must they remember that Romney is really behind in most areas of the polls? And they more complain, ROMNEY WILL LOSE! I’m just saying. And for fact checkers: NSC Spokesman Tommy Vietor had to put in check of Bill Kristol of the Right Wing maniacs in terms with Real Talk. Something that the Right Wing cannot deflect.

Even though Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her words takes the responsibility of the situation, but she also says that the blame game from the Republican side needs to have a REAL SCREECHING HALT!

And referring back to the Vice Presidential Debate, Paul Ryan got some Libyan information wrong about the Benghazi attacks. Remember when I said when Joe Biden was taking him to the woodshed on Twitter? This was one of them. It seems that Paul Ryan didn’t provide enough claim to back it up. Also if the republican fan base is accusing the Obama Administration “covering up”, my question is “in what sense?” When I hear that statement, it’s more of them attempting the cover up to look at situation like it’s a short story out of the creative writing classes. But I’m not making an injection. Yes, I do know that the 4 Americans were killed unceremoniously. And the President had to take into accountability to make sure that the four had been honored with respect. And the acknowledgement was the next day, not some “two weeks” like Mitt Romney claims. Like the President said: Check the Transcript.

Just to add: More recently, the CIA were in Libya in terms of support right after the attacks happened. So to those who “SAY” that the President didn’t give no support, persay, you might well re-read this and comeback with enough concrete evidence that it wasn’t a so-called lie or cover ups!

If those who paid attention to this article, it was about a survey in which most Americans still hav

If those who paid attention to this article, it was about a survey in which most Americans still have this negative viewpoint of Blacks in the country. According to the AP poll recently conducted at least 51% of Americans who probably took the survey, did reacted that they, or that group still view Blacks a problem in the country. Slightly higher from 2008. What is my take on this? I’m not surprised Not one bit. Usually we African-Americans are “carefully watched”. Either on the job, or in public. Or, trying to get a job. You know my story from 2010, in which I was rejected a job offer because of my race. Remember Dresser Waukesha? And the 390+ African-Americans didn’t get the offer because of it. That’s part of it.

Many are saying that this could cost President Barack Obama the election all because of the skin tone. And to top of all that, some believing that he is the cause of this. EXCUSE ME!!!! So Obama is the cause of this, “racial tension” in America? Really? The First American President of Color is responsible for the racial tension, or lynchings, the hanging chairs, nooses around trees and Obama displays, and etc. Really Americans? Well America NEWSFLASH! The President IS NOT at fault of these things. If I had to pick a race of ethnic group that is the cause of this, look at those who wear those “Put the White back in the White House” shirts at a “Romney/Ryan” Campaign Rally. Or those who are being brainwashed to say “oh there’s no real racism.” If you’re an Ann Coulter fan, you better burn her books. Speaking of her, why doesn’t she go onto BLACK Talkshows, like Washington Watch, or Don’t Sleep? She prances around Bill Maher or The View, and even Fox News, but she wouldn’t do a black TV show? Or a Black radio show like Tom Joyner or Michael Baisden? Ann Coulter may talk a game, but apparently her “conservative game” of asking where are the real racists are is WHACK! Speaking of things that look racist, I was stumbled on a another blog about the use of the font that is currently displayed for the African-Americans for Obama signs. If you haven’t seen it, the African Americans portion of the sign has a jungle/safari font thing to it. Even the DJ’s for Obama use the font at times. I’m beginning to ask what is SOOOOO- Racist about a font like this? Explain that to me. I see fonts like that all the time and no it’s not racist. That is more bogus like Republicans say or those who attended those Tea Party Rallies: “Were going to take our country back!” OR “Were going to take America back!” UM I need an answer to this: BACK FROM WHOM? Who are these “So-called Patriotic Americans” commenting about taking the country back from?

Word to those who believe that, Fair Warning: don’t think that a statement like that could be the death of the objective if you know what I’m saying.

So getting back to the “survey”. This survey even though it’s been conducting analysts stuff for about 4 years, I still say that are other information that needs to be proven forward. Matter of fact, hidden truths. What are these findings? Is it our Culture, Music, clothing, our African Heritage, black love relationships, African-American Families, saying African American with getting this stuff saying “oh you are an American” , (to those who keep saying that, don’t act like you know on your platforms and social media stuff), our story telling on the accomplishments in history (black history), jobs, businesses that are black owned, our Fraternities, Sororities, Churches, religion, or culture movement? Crime, Unemployment?

WHAT IS IT AMERICA?!!! Why does this country of Freedom and Independence hate my culture? Matter of fact, why the hate in the last 4 years, because of Obama? Really?!!

Or is it because those who have this hate, probably have no excuse but to hate?

There will be answers.

Black people when we hear this, we better to tell those who oppose us that we will and must keep working no matter what we do. Period! The haters might not like it. Too Bad. Just keep working and representing to the fullest. If others don’t like it. They can kick rocks. Simple.

If anyone had the chance to watch the Ed Show, Col. Lawrence Wilkerson a retired US Army Colonel, opened up about the endorsement choice of Colin Powell choosing once again President Barack Obama to retain the presidency. What the Col. said was straight off the cuff and clear to the point. The Retired Army Colonel spoke and slam his party, the Republican Party of their use of racism in regarding John Snunu’s words of picking Obama from the General. Obviously, it’s been said all this time. And I’ve been saying it. It’s not the plan, it’s the man. When Bush and Cheney left, Obama picked up the mess and continued to make progress and attempt to continue to plea his case. But on DAY ONE, when the President took office, the Republicans side made sure that they were to block everything possible to make sure Obama fails. That was part of it. However the Ret. Col. Wilkerson made claim on his case for another reason as I described previously. Justified it maybe, it was just another claim of Snunu thinking that Colin Powell picked Obama because he’s black. Question! Has anyone heard Colin Powell said that in his pick for Obama? No! Had anyone heard Colin Powell mentioned this back in 2008? Absolutely not. So what’s the deal?!

Colin Powell is one of the best generals that America had in history. Subsequently also, black history. And also, he is his own man. If he wants to endorse someone from a different party, while staying base as a moderate Republican, then that is his own decision. End of story!

Alright. Now what’s up with this so-called lie concerning the President with Benghazi? This lie about the right wing media’s assumption that the White House knew it was going to happen? And the hypeness of this making it like it was a scandal? Really? First my heart bleeds for those who were killed. No person shouldn’t have to go through that. Even on the 11th Anniversary of the incident. During the second debate, the President was on point in his stance in conjunction on what happened, and to have Mitt Romney making it a “political issue” as usual just trying to get ratings. That was a slap in the face. And now it’s a month after the attack, and the Right Wing Media likes to play scandal stuff to make a butt joke of the scenario. Even on Twitter, I see hashtags of #ImpeachObama. Excuse me, but Impeach him for what?!!!!! For being black?!! Or Mixed?!! Come on! All because most thought he “lied”? Most of the Republican folks are giving him the heat. Some are not – One of them is a Romney Supporter. Does the name Condolezza Rice ring a bell? She, like some others in her party is refusing to comment on the stance of Libya and did comment that those who work must finish the job investigating. And plus, Condolezza knows this stuff very well and had to bring the real talk truth on that channel of Fox News. So apparently, the President got back up not only from his administration, but also from those like Condolezza who again knows that predicament. Oh what? The Right Wingers are going to call out Condoleezza Rice for her stance with the President? Sort of like that “email” got circulated through Social Media. Remember when Bush thought there were WMD’s in Iraq when the troops were in battle, and didn’t see a lick of them? Well who was lying on that notion?

Like the President said, those that committed the murders in Benghazi will be in his words: “brought to justice”. The same with Osama Bin Laden. And for the record, we know that the Seal Team Six made the hit on Bin Laden. But who gave the order? Come on Right Wingers, who gave the order to take out Osama? and plus, who advised the order to made it happen? Let me answer that: Obama gave the order. And it required an advisement from Joe Biden. Yeah, Bin Laden was on Bill Clinton’s Radar, then it was on Bush’s radar (blindly) but when it came on Obama’s radar, the game was over. Period! Why did I say blindly on Bush? I think it spoke for itself of concentrating more on Saddam Hussein, than Bin Laden. And Iraq WAS NOT a target! Really it was near the Afghan/Pakistan area where most of that 9/11 planning got started up! I don’t hear nothing like that coming out of Bush’s mouth. Nor Mitt Romney’s mouth! Oh, and where was this coming from the so-called right wing fans that wanted wars? *crickets* *crickets*

I can see this now. It’s election day. Obama wins the event. And that so-called bogus 2016 Obama’s America Movie will be a flop in sales. That dude who made the movie has got issues on his own from his former employer, who worked at a college! Watch out.

If your company is warning you about your vote, you might want to pay attention. Recently a company

If your company is warning you about your vote, you might want to pay attention. Recently a company in my home city’s suburb of Brown Deer, Rite Hite (yes that’s the name of the company) is warning it’s employees of their votes coming November 6th. Rite Hite is a company that is industrialized in manufacturing sales in dock levelers, industrial doors, safety barriers and many other industrial related products and services. The CEO of the company, Mike White sends a message featuring “personal consequences” if in the event President Obama is re-elected for a second term:

Every Rite-Hite employee in America should understand the personal consequences to them of having our tax rates increase dramatically if President Obama is re-‐elected, forcing taxpayers to fund President Obama’s future deficits and social programs (including Obamacare), which require bigger government.

Excuse me, what does Mike White mean of “personal consequences” if voting for President Obama? If you are company owner of any kind ask yourself this question, do you send personal warnings to your employees about personal experiences about those who vote a certain way? If you do, you’re just a punk! No company of any kind should NEVER tell him or her who to vote for despite of their feelings towards an election season.

Does my church tell me that? NO!

Does the City of Milwaukee’ s Election Commission My High School, College and University Alma Maters tell me whom to vote for? Excuse my french in the words of the late Whitney Houston (God rest her soul) HELL TO THE NO!

The owner of Rite Hite must be having that Romneyism/Romnesia sick disease in order to think that it would be the death of his company if Obama gets reelected. Technically, I’m calling it BS in terms of being a scare tactic Have I worked for Rite Hite? No. But after reading about these company CEO’s telling their employees who to vote for in terms of saving their little hides, I’m taking a pass. Knowingly to me, I’m not passing my resumes to this company. Don’t expect me to pass my LinkedIn stuff to them either. It;s my right to choose where I want to work. I’m not saying to be polarized or whatever. But in essence of this, it should matter.

According to the Wisconsin Statue 12.o7 in regarding Politics and Jobs (and this really should be stamped in everyone’s business minds in Wisconsin!) :

Check this, I’m reading Rolling Stone Magazine online. Yes, I will confess that I do pick up a copy of the book once in a while. But the article in the magazine displays which will be available during the week of the Election, commenting about President Obama’s potentially Second Term. But an excerpt from the article is having folks, including Mitt Romney’s folks crying foul. Oh really? In the article, and I quote: “You know, kids have good instincts,” Obama offered. “They look at the other guy and say, ‘Well, that’s a bull—-er, I can tell.’”

Well, OK. So Obama had his “controversial gaffe” on. WOW! Is this is huge news? Oh wait we had that already. Donald Trump wanted Obama to turn over his college records, and Passports to see with a 5 million dollars exchange. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! But what is this about this “gaffe” that has those well, blood boiling? You can say, oh, it’s freedom of speech. But some might say, Hey he’s the President, he has to watch his language. You know kids pick up on things nowadays.” And my personal favorite: “YOOOOOOOOOO the POTUS just went off on Romney in Rolling Stone like crazy! Dude was gangsta! He said some real sh-t!”

Ok, now that I almost let my Freedom of Speech thing go off the cliff, I’m revering back to neutral. Now I said this on Barack Obama’s Facebook Like Page, that he isn’t the only one in Presidential History of the country to use a “gaffe”. But there have been others:

1950′s - LBJ on Richard Nixon: ”I may not know much, but I know chicken s–t from chicken salad…. [Richard Nixon]‘s like a Spanish horse, who runs faster than anyone for the first nine lengths, and then turns around and runs backwards. You’ll see; he’ll do something wrong in the end. He always does. – Source Wikipedia.

1993: On 16 February 1993, U.S. President Bill Clinton snapped at an aide “Listen, god–mn it. Come here. You can’t do that. You can’t take me out here with a mayor and a congresswoman and push them back” after a member of his staff tried to prevent the mayor and Congresswoman Eleanor Norton from joining the President walking to a porch for a photo opportunity with construction workers.[15] – Source Wikipedia.

Bush called New York Times reporter Adam Clymer a “major league a–hole” just before a campaign speech to Vice-President Dick Cheney, whose response (“big time”) was also audible. The media reaction was intense, with news stations repeatedly broadcasting it and the New York Post running two pages about the incident.[16][17] Bush said of the incident: “I regret that a private comment I made to the vice-presidential candidate made it onto the public airwaves. I regret everybody heard what I said.”[18][19] – - Source Wikipedia.

2006: On 17 July 2006 a private conversation between U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair at the G8 Summit in St. Petersburg was picked up by a nearby microphone. Bush told Blair he hoped the UN would “get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this s–t” (referring to Syria’s influence over and support of Hezbollah in the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon), and that by doing so, the crisis would be over. This was reaffirmed by the suggestion to “get Kofi [Annan] on the phone with [Bashir] Assad and make something happen.” He also revealed that Condoleezza Rice would visit the area. – Source Wikipedia.

Now for you history buffs, you probably know this very well. Almost. But for those who are just shocked and applauded about the use of Obama’s latest gaffes, if you don’t know, now you know. It has happened before with the Presidents before him. Technically, THIS IS NOTHING NEW! It maybe “new” to those who are now hearing this for the first time. Sort of reminds me of those loops of Wisconsin Representative Democrat Tammy Baldwin, saying the words “You’re Da-m Right!” on those GOP supported commercials. BUT what they don’t tell you that the quote actually came from a workers right rally in which she was supporting and speaking. AGAIN. Nothing new!

It seems to me that the whole “words out of context” is getting nerve racking. All because of not finding a common reason why these things occur. If there are some who do understand without getting the run around effects, guess what, they know. I know personally because I studied it in college. And it was U.S. History. But the side of U.S. History that I studied was further in deep. Now realization should tell you that.

Some of you probably have condemned Obama for saying that quote in Rolling Stone Magazine. Partially, it was about “trust” according to the White House Spokesperson. Technically, Rolling Stone has been explicitly open for 50 years dealing with music and politics. Shoot, I read about the comments of Whitney Houston in Rolling Stone. And some were explicit. But she was real in her own objectives. Clearly, it’s just like Blowradio.com. The radio guests and hosts use colorful language all the time. But in between that, the issue of community and the world really stands out. I don’t have to like it. But it is what it is in terms of Free Speech. Or Freedom of Expression.

My Take: Colin Powell’s factor on Obama Going back into my old MyFoxMilwaukee Blogs from way b

My Take: Colin Powell’s factor on Obama

Going back into my old MyFoxMilwaukee Blogs from way back when, I wrote this blog about Gen. Colin Powell endorsing the then-Sen. Barack Obama to be President. Now this was my first of a series in tales why I felt it was vital for him to make the endorsement, just like recently today.

Oct 19, 2008 | 12:47 PM

Category: Political

Like many of you, or some of you, there was another endorsement that was given to Sen. Barack Obama. His name? General Colin Powell. Yep, the retired General had officially given the props and nod to the Senator in which for his pick to become the next president. Now , I know that there are going to be alot of the naysayers who probably would break out their blogs, comments, viewpoints, and any other thing that might say, and I know this:

“Yeah, I saw that interview and the only reason Gen. Powell is backing Barack because he’s black. It is obvious?” Duh!

“Well whoopee do! Another brother endorses another brother. So what? The Republicans and Sen. McCain will have a field day with him. Watch.”

“That explains it! Of course he’ll endorse him because he can be a crutch to Obama in gaining that experience. Big deal.”

OK. Enough preliminary sarcasm! As I watching the Meet the Press interview, before going to church this morning, I think Gen. Powell was real of what he had to say. Yes, he did analyzed both Sen. McCain and Obama, in his view was beneficial to lead the U.S. in the next four years, but the part of the General’s commentary was reflected on McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin, William Ayers, and overall tone of the McCain/Palin ticket. For the description of Sen. Barack Obama, Gen. Powell described him as a “transformational figure”, in which his view of being a new generational figure that might have some ingredients of making an additional element of being a potential candidate for the presidency. And he was very clear about one thing: He’s not backing up Sen. John McCain because of their long 25 year relationship, and not backing up Sen. Obama because of his skin tone. Or in most cases, black.

On his view of Gov. Sarah Palin: Gen. Powell commented that thusly that she is not ready to be President in sense of judgment. Now there might be disagreements with that statement but, I’ll bet alot of those on the outside would say, “I’ve been saying that from the very beginning. Yes, Gov. Palin has her style and swagger in all, but did she say during the VP Debates that she’s been on the presidential campaign for 5 weeks? I question that.”

On his view of William Ayers: This has been, in my view, old and overblown. The General commented the Senator’s view of the ex-radical, in which from him, asking: “Sen. McCain says he a washed-up old terrorist—then why does he keep talking about him?”

And the General also commented that Obama on numerous occasions, condemned the acts the William Ayers did during the 60′s at the time of Radical Protests was inflicting the country. Plus the comments about that William Ayrers made in which he reviewed about “not bombing enough” – that was again in reference to the Vietnam War Protests. To the General, I think that is a non-issue to further derail Sen. Obama.

On his view of John McCain/GOP: General Powell commented that he’s troubled by the actions of his own party. Why wouldn’t he be? I know that some might jump on him in all, but as far as he sees it, it’s not just the actions of words or displays, it’s the overall setup in which that was generated. It reminds me of the use of power in which can be at times powerful, but also at times could be worked against you. Like those Robocalls, in which I think is nothing more than a distraction to think that “oh, Sen. Obama is not a good fit for a president because of his “association” with being a Muslim and hanging around Terrorists.” Gen. Powell commented that as inappropriate, while Sen. McCain thinks of it as a logical sense. At the closing part of the 30 minute interview, the retired General talked about Muslims. He heard from his Republican party about the comments about Sen. Obama being a Muslim which raised a red flag. But the General talked about a solider who was American born, died during Iraqi Freedom and was a Muslim. Plus, his viewpoints of Muslims in general:

“Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is no. That’s not America. Is there something wrong with a seven-year-old Muslim-American kid believing he or she could be president? Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion that he is a Muslim and might have an association with terrorists. This is not the way we should be doing it in America. I feel particularly strong about this because of a picture I saw in a magazine. It was a photo essay about troops who were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And one picture at the tail end of this photo essay, was of a mother at Arlington Cemetery and she had her head on the headstone of her son’s grave. And as the picture focused in, you could see the writing on the headstone, and it gave his awards – Purple Heart, Bronze Star – showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death, he was 20 years old. And then at the very top of the head stone, it didn’t have a Christian cross. It didn’t have a Star of David. It has a crescent and star of the Islamic faith. And his name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan. And he was an American. He was born in New Jersey. He was fourteen years old at the time of 9/11, and he waited until he could serve his country and he gave his life.”

When I thought about this statement, it makes me wonder the goodness in those who make their mark as good citizens of this country. Even as those of Muslim faith like this individual, who was during his peak into adulthood, risked his life in defending America’s freedoms. Despite of his religious background. If Sen. John McCain talked about “Country First”, which there’s nothing wrong with that, he should take a look, maybe a second look, this soldier’s life. And Sarah Palin. And Michele Bachmann who once criticized Sen. Obama as “Very Anti-American”. – Oh really! What does it take being “a real American” these days?

Summarizing the thought, despite of whatever, I feel that the retired General was on point. His comments and viewpoints were accurate. And despite of his Republican and Conservative Views, like James T. Harris, he’s made his choice to pick of his endorsement or in this case his own pick as a potential Presidential choice. Like any other person, yes we have we have our own preferences. But I think what Gen. Powell said and hypothesized, stood out on his own beliefs.

This is my take. Right or Wrong. Just my thought.

FYI: In case you missed it, there are three clips on Youtube that has three parts of the interview. Just look up: General Colin Powell, and it might have Gen.
I’m going to go extra innings in terms of the ”politics as usual” – in the

I’m going to go extra innings in terms of the ”politics as usual” – in the words of Jay-Z. Plus I’m going to comment this Rape thing that has been hitting the airwaves. In which Gov. Mitt Romney recently endorsed. If you recall, I’m talking about the Indiana Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock who is running for the U.S. Senate Seat against, Democrat Joe Donnelly, and also Libertarian Candidate Andy Horning on November 6th. The comment and topic of Rape has always been a hot button, serious, EXTREMELY SENSITIVE topic in alot of years. Now let’s review what the GOP candidate said in regarding the subject and the use of the almighty.

Um, I have to say that any person who rapes a person for no apparent reason is a MORTAL SIN! Now for those who don’t usually follow the biblcial terms, read this:

25 “But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die. 26 But you shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no offense punishable by death. For this case is like that of a man attacking and murdering his neighbor, 27 because he met her in the open country, and though the betrothed young woman cried for help there was no one to rescue her.

For those who don’t know that verse, it’s from the book of Deuteronomy Chapter 22. Now onto another book in the bible. This might get scary for some:

2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. – Taken from Zechariah 14: 2

Now why I’m putting this into a blog? What is the point of these verses talking about rape or relations to rape of saying what the GOP Candidate commented? Like I said, Rape is Rape. Even the President said this recently on Jay Leno. Partially, it’s an issue in which most have talked about but still can’t understand. And that goes for the GOP Candidate, who’s have an angle with the so-called Tea Party who probably believe that it’s part of God’s intent to happen. EXCUSE ME! Since when did God intented to make females being raped a good thing? No Female, matter of fact, no person, yes I’m inclding men also, should never be raped to be God intened. No way! I don’t know what was in this man’s mind when he said that. Plus we all know about “hot mics” and “hot commnets”. That right there is dumb move! Oh, and most thought that the Libyan Email was something that the right wing maniacs picked was just a thing to get momentum. Which in my view, wasn’t. I’ll debate that later. If this is the kind of candidate, referring to Richard Mourdock is believing in terms of his viewpoints of rape of what he just said, then folks, he does NOT DESERVE to be in the limelight for a candiacy for any office. Sometimes we know, that words like that can really cost you. I remember what former Wisconsin State Senator Elizabeth Coggs said that “Vote someone that looks like you.” I thought it was voting for someone who has the “same beliefs” as the regular voter. But what it turned out was if she hadn’t said a comment like that persay, she would be still in office right now for the State instead of Nikyla Harris. So yes, you Indiana folks have a decision to make in regarding your GOP candidate if it’s vital to keep or let go based on commentary.

Now: my take on Black Republicans. Oh, I’m going to have a field day on this one. Now what I’m about to say that is my own personal point of view in terms of this blog, and my editorials in regarding the group of blacks, agreeing with Republican ideals. I will agree that everyone has a right to follow what they want to follow in a political stance. It’s in our American Democracy DNA. We know. The news about Stacey Dash really hit the fan in terms of endorsing Mitt Romney to become President. But is Stacey really getting herself on the burner on this one? I mean really, she is endorsing almost most everything that the Republicans despise of the work of the Democrats laid down. Including repealing ObamaCare. Oh I did mention increasing that Voter Suppression, or having more troops in Iraq and continuing more wars? Stacey likes this idea? Really? Oh check this out: Remember the rapper Shyne? who was rapping for Diddy during his Bad-Boy Entertainment days? Shyne was locked up for over a decade, comes out, works on a new album since forever, but slams Obama and endorses Romney. Oh really? Basically, besides the new joint, what else Shyne has done, LATELY? What has Stacey Dash done LATELY?

Well, OK that’s they’re opinion to endorse. But here’s the thing: Mitt Romney NEVER got any support from the African-American Community, but there are some Africans-Americans would endorse him anyway. Those in that 2%. Sort of reminds me of a radio guy that Milwaukee had: James T. Harris. – Oh God! I’ll never forget 4 years ago around this time that he was in Waukesha, (the most republican county in Wisconsin) when Senator John McCain was in the state, he was commentating to him and uttered the words: “Sir, I’m begging you. I’m begging you. Take it to him!” Too Funny! It was so funny I was rocking my shoes off! And he got pawned by those who thought he was selling out or acting like a “Uncle Tom” or “Sambo”. Don’t forget, this was 4 years ago at the time of Obama’s run for President for the first time. Matter of fact, some may add Herman Cain, a former candidate of the Republican Party (Thank God) who thought that racism wasn’t real. NEGRO PLEASE! But recently, Armstrong Williams came out on BET’s Don’t Sleep last night in regarding Immigration and the Dream Act. On the panel, he was debating Rosie Perez and Jeff Johnson on the subject. Click on the site:

Don’t Sleep! : Ep. 114 Web Extra

In addition, Rosie was on defense in terms of children, in which Armstrong was not!

Plus don’t me get started on Angela McGlowan in terms of her viewpoints. (Fox News related) She was recently on BET’s Don’t Sleep about her being beat up. Correction Angela, it’s beaten up. Correct your words! Some have chimed on twitter claimed that she forgotten who she is, but some of the rights may be stricken away by the use of the pen. Not my words, others. Remember she was at a Tea Party rally. Plus, she had the un-most respect of interrupting the show, and host TJ Holmes.

Now, here’s a bombshell question that many of you might ask. Which Republican would Stephen respect? I’m going to answer that right now in two words: Colin Powell. Yep. That’s what I said. I would respect Colin Powell more over Herman Cain, Angela McGlowan, Artur Davis, Armstrong Williams, or any Black Republican or Black Republican Fanatic out there. Even the phony wannabes. If you just woke up this morning, once again Powell endorsed Barack Obama for the repeat of the Presidency. He says that he respects Mitt Romney in all, but with the Foreign Policy Exchange he does NOT agree with him. And he’s facing backlash from one of his friends, Sen. John McCain.

But overall, I know most of you probably are asking why this? Can people be different? Of course. Do I have to like it? No. If they choose to follow the Republican Ideas in terms of whatever, let them. And this proves that Black folks don’t always agree with each other. But what happens if their ideas they support, backfires? Oh, yes. What happens if the things they believe or critique in, doesn’t come up the way they want? What next? Hate to put the spin on this but it needed to be said. Just saying.

You knew this was coming. The third and final debate is done and all is left to do is ….VOTE.

You knew this was coming. The third and final debate is done and all is left to do is ….VOTE. In regarding the debate, I have to say that the President came out once again. Maybe not as the second debate, but he came through. The Foreign Policy portions were the President’s strongest interest, and Mitt Romney’s weakest. The same Mitt Romney who wanted Detroit to go bankrupt. Now, I got family members in Detroit. I hope to GOD that Detroit, as where as every city that is trying to comeback (Milwaukee needs work) returns much better and efficient and serves as a primary goal that it can rise up!

Overall what struck me the most about the debate was the aggressiveness of the President to make claim – as the Commander in Chief. Remember when 4 years ago when the Republicans folks and some said that Obama never had experience in dealing with foreign policies and such? Remember that? I think that came into play during his years as U.S. Senator. All of that I think, prepped him for this role in dealing with Foreign Policy. Mainly about getting Osama Bin Laden, and bringing our Troops home. Plus having a continued relationship with the rest of the world. And speaking of that, expect some international visitors on Election Day who would be observing our Election Process. They’re coming. So behave yourselves, Americans.

Now I want to comment about this “Horses and Bayonets” thing. In the debate, Both Mitt Romney and the President commented about the current status of the United States Navy as in size. (Never mind the picture above)

Mitt Romney: He commented the Navy has been small since 1917.

Barack Obama’s Response: ”I think Governor Romney maybe hasn’t spent enough time looking at how our military works. You mentioned the Navy, for example, and that we have fewer ships than we did in 1916. Well, governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets because the nature of our military’s changed. We have these things called aircraft carriers where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines.

“And so the question is not a game of Battleship where we’re counting ships. It’s what are our capabilities.”

Now keep in mind: Fewer horses and bayonets. Technically, I think what the President was referring to in this line, was the change in times. In a military sense. Now, for those who might be offended and serve, the President, the Commander and Chief didn’t say he was getting rid of them. Please don’t get excited with anguish We have a few of them because once again, change in time. And from what I’m told some of those are still useful. Or in this case a change in use of equipment. Just 20+ years ago most of us were using VCR’s. Now it’s DVRs. We went from the Phonograph (or Record player) to the reel-to-reel, Tape Decks, CD Players, and now MP3′s. We went from talking on the telephone, to texting on the smartphone. Is anyone getting this? Or like from Print to Digital. So technically, I found no fault. Not one fault about the use of ”fewer bayonets and horses”. Sometimes we need to read the whole line (not bits and pieces like most folks that assume they know) to have a full understanding. Now word on the “Republican Spin”, they claim that the president doesn’t have a detailed plan about his goal for the potentially, might happen second term. You’ll see that in the next couple of days. Watch your mailboxes or at a Obama Campaign Rally on that one. It’s called “Blueprint for the Future.” Plus it’s available on barackobama.com/plans.

In regarding Mitt Romney’s statement of “America never dictated other countries”. FLAG ON THE PLAY! That needs to have an instant replay because I hate to say that even though America has helped liberated nations as the Governor put it, but America also DICTATED other nations too! Don’t believe me? Reference Martin Luther King’s stance on Vietnam. Yeah, the same MLK that most folks like to hear the “I Have A Dream” speech so many times to feel appreciated. But also to those hear the speeches, I’m pulling a Roland Martin by asking, what have you done to maintained King’s Dream? What have you done? Have you donated? Have you educated? Have you given to a common cause like the statue in DC? WHAT?

Those of YOU reflecting on King’s speeches in your newspaper comments to your metro reporters, your other communication aspects: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE IN ORDER TO KEEP AND MAINTAIN KING’s DREAM?! – and this requires no political viewpoints, or just being a “proud American” of any stance.

Martin Luther King commented about America’s role in his words was ‘betrayal”.

Note to the Republicans fans, you might need to fact check this with real talk. Go back to school or to your Alumni chapters of learning. This is the same MLK who once said “I Have A Dream”, gave America a reality check about its dictatorship roles. Now for some who are just reading this, either you might be new, or somewhat trying to get it.

Or if you’re old school. And I mean OLD SCHOOL, you should know personally the gist behind of what King stated. Many of us who studied history know. Either with education in school or in your Grandmothers basement of her telling stories of what she witnessed in history. And the same with our Grandfathers, Great-Grandparents, and those that know without picking up a school text book through experience.

I’m going to say that the President mostly did came through. And I know that the Romney fans probably said the same about their pick. But I think the Romney folks needed to be careful of their pick not to agree with almost everything that the President accomplished. That right there is almost like a give up play in football. That’s like it’s 3 down and 1 yard to go in Football in which it would be best to run the ball instead of passing for 10 yards. Or trying to win the football game without getting racked up with ridiculous penalties. I put a “flag on the play” on Romney earlier in terms of America’s dictatorship comments.

But now. We’ve seen the debates. We’ve seen what the candidates offer in terms of face to face. We’ve seen their issues and/or open opinions at the rallies. But the one thing that is left to do is vote. Many of the states had voted or is voting early. Wisconsin is one of them. Some of us already had absentee voting ballots mailed in late September and such, and mailed them back. And there are those who will wait until the last minute at the zero hour, on the day in the traditional sense, and vote at their respective polling places.

I made a New Year’s Prediction earlier in the year that Barack Obama will repeat as President. I didn’t say how he’ll repeat. I said he will repeat. Not because of those opinion polls, or the TV, radio, phone polls. The one poll that is official is the Electoral College. Or as I like to call it: The 270. If you get to 270, you win the presidency. If you don’t, well you know the rest.

But I’ll say this: If you don’t VOTE, don’t count to complain for another 4 years.

Just recently, another U.S. company is about to join the line to China in terms of shipping jobs ove

Just recently, another U.S. company is about to join the line to China in terms of shipping jobs overseas. On The Ed Show, as well as The Last Word on MSNBC, the company Sensata Technologies (part of Sensata’s Corporation and Bain Capital) plans to close up shop and move to China. The plant is in Freeport, Illinois which the city itself is 20 miles south of the Wisconsin Border, and 25 miles west of Rockford. And it’s a town of 25, 638 according to the 2010 Census.

Coming of the heels of the second debate, in which Mitt Romney debated about being against China in terms of the jobs, that should be a recount. Technically it should in the way Outsourcing jobs have been a Red Flag as of late. I can relate to this story through a personal story, in terms of a friend of mine who had a computer job here in the Milwaukee Area, but that job was shipped to India, and leaving him and those like him unemployed. Those of you going through the pain with Sensata, I feel you! Whomever those believe that it’s full of BS or full of crap that these people lost their jobs due to Outsourcing overseas, I hate to say this but that is a result of a brain problem of “Romneyism” or “Romnesia”. Speaking of which, that Romnesia thing that President Obama spoke about reminds me of what I heard in a church sermon in September. Matter of fact here it is via Twitter on a Sunday Morning:

What you just saw, it’s real talk. It tells you that at times WE FORGET some miscues of important stuff. Admit it we do. The miscues in terms of the truth instead of what folks say on media, and I dare say the guy down the street. Note to the Romney Crew: How come you don’t address this in person? Just as I thought. They are not going to address this because I think they are scared punks! I’m not holding this back. The Romney folks are scared punks in terms of not being real! Just like Tagg Romney with the rigging of the voting machines in Ohio. Don’t worry, Eric Holder I believe should be on the case. And technically: Since when the name Tagg became a name for boys anyway?! Tagg, Tripp, Bristol, Piper. Sounds like a air strike!

Now don’t trip about how Barack got his name. It really means blessing, or blessed by God. And yes, he was named after his dad who was Kenyan BORN! Now don’t at all trip about the birthplace of Hawaii of the 44th President. And speaking of which, what is wrong being from Kenya anyway? And to add, Muslim? Some Americans are hard-headed of things like this. For me, I do have Muslim/African friends that I do respect and say hello too.

So above, I attached a link (and other links) from The Ed Show in which gave some info about the closing in terms that the regular news outlets of (cough FOX) wouldn’t comment on. Technically this is an issue because either it might happen to someone you know, or maybe it already did. I think those who can relate to those who have lost jobs to overseas decisions need to tell them we know how you feel. It’s frustrating that you can’t go to a job that you applied for and bring home to a family with financial ideas. Shameful.

We know that the Foreign Policy debate is coming up for the Presidential election. Will Obama go after Romney in terms of this matter IF possible in the debate? I think he should. Now I know it shouldn’t be a concern in part of the Election, but IT IS a vital concern for those effected by this, and also what about those who have the question, could this happen to me? For those who trip or sleep on this, DON’T!

And if this continues to happen, when you see jobs going overseas, and the Republican fans are PO’d and moaning about the 23 Million folks out of work and put the blame on the President. That’s one debate thing in their opinion. But what if its backfires like its doing with Sensata? What will the Republican fans say now? Maybe those Republicans in congress should have passed that jobs bill in order IN ORDER to keep the opportunity to work! But however we all know how that ended. With a no. Plus I know that this has been mentioned of a American company in-sourced back to America. Remember when the President announced that MasterLock, Milwaukee’s MasterLock in my hometown, was previously in China, had been returned to America. Recently, Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin debated with Former Gov. Tommy Thompson about jobs and one thing is agreeable that we Americans should “promote more Made in America products.” (By the way, I’m betting on Tammy to win the U.S. Senate Seat)

However, let me ask this: do you want this? Is this is we want to pay for? Really? Better think before November 6th! And to you undecided voters, you need to pay attention too because THIS CAN EFFECT YOU TOO!

Don’t Sleep: This is just my opinion.

Take a look at this sign. The one below. I took a picture of this sign in assist of the Wisconsin Election Protection to find out where are they posted. In Milwaukee, it’s mostly posted near or in the black communities.

But also recently, most are believing that this sign is attracting intimidation of not showing up on Election Day to cast their votes. Don’t believe the hype of that! It’s truly pathetic that organizations behind this are just scaring away voters. That’s right I said it. Oh, just for reference the signs were organized for the posting is Clear Channel, (the same Clear Channel that has radio stations and IHeartRadio) which also has ties and owned, by this company.

I’ll give you a hint: The current President Nominee part owns this company. Does the name “Bain Capital” ring a bell?

Bain Capital Owns Clear Channel (Romney Supported by Talk Show sphere)

I hate to say this to the Romney folks, but it needed to be said: I told you so. Last night’s

I hate to say this to the Romney folks, but it needed to be said: I told you so. Last night’s debate between the President and Governor was epic. And the President came out the boost of confidence with daggers in order to plea his case. Now in substance, Romney tried. But just was not up to par in terms of Obama’s aggressive assertiveness. Technically, Obama drove the bus and made Romney go into the Woodshed. Yes, he can thank Joe Biden for that notion.

I did say in the last blog that “the Real Romney supporters” should not celebrate that one debate victory. It’s short lived. The same in fairness for the Obama folks, which it was strong but also has to keep the pressure on for the third and final debate. Don’t forget, defense wins championships. Period. And Obama will be playing that defense in order to repeat as the 44th President of the United States.

What got me in watching the debate? Well let’s look at the clips shall we?

I’m going to comment this. And I said this on Twitter : Got him! No politics should not be clouded with the death of our own who serve. Bad move Mitt! #Debates #hofdebate. And just to add, The President went huge in his statement. And those who don’t think so, hash-tag this: #checkthetranscript

Another clip:

Now I have to ask this and it was posted on Facebook recently. What is up with this binder?

Another clip:

My take on this: That Detroit bankrupt thing is so flag on the play. Point for @BarackObama. via Twitter.

Also, I’m paying attention to these polls like Gallup, and others. For the Gallup: recently the Gallup Poll now has Mitt Romney over Barack by 6 points. (51-45) I’m going to take a hypothesis that those numbers won’t mean a thing. Matter of fact, it wont mean nothing period. I’ve seen that 4 years ago and I’m seeing it now. Numbers do change, but if for that, the Gallup number for Obama will increase and Romney’s will decrease to be close.

And the same for these other sites like: Real Clear Politics, Huffington Post and others.

On one site – The Real Clear Politics has Romney at 206 and Barack at 201.

The Huffington Post: Barack at 277 and Romney at 206.

CNN’s Tracking: Barack: 237, Romney: 191.

The Talking Points Memo Site: Obama is at 259 and Romney is at 237. Plus the National Popular Vote has Mitt leading by 1.1%.

NBC News has Barack at 243 and Mitt at 191. With the toss up at 104.

(Don’t get me started on Fox News since I refuse to go to the site)

To me, these are “preliminary numbers”. You know it’s kind of like preseason. I mean what I’m saying is, it may look good now, but will it matter when the Real Numbers of the Electoral College comes out on Election Day? Those numbers are the real numbers that I want to see. The Gallup Poll, in my view is bogus. It’s all preliminary. So the Romney folks, you probably got all excited that your chosen pick got over Obama, BUT……….don’t get too excited. Remember what I said that if I were a real Romney Supporter, I would not get very cheerful, because even the Obama folks know that “NUMBERS CHANGE.” They do. I hate to burst the bubbles but, it’s a given.

Technically, after third debate happens, it’s down to the wire. Word is that in several states the Democrats are up over the Republicans in early voting. But we’ll see how that works out.

For the debate: Obama struck back. Period. He had to in order to stay face and play defense. Now despite of the “naysayers” that he lost against Romney, yet again: Sorry. TOTALLY DISAGREE! Remember what I said about the incumbents losing the first debate, while trying to rebound to win the second/third debates? Do your history of that before making statements! Even if it’s on Barack Obama’s Facebook Page, Instagram, or anything that those free post while arguing. I hate to say this if you fit in this category, some of your spellings needs checked! That’s is NOT debatable! *the microphone is smashed along with soapbox*

Oh, check this out. I know that there is alot of hate against President Obama and what he stands for

Oh, check this out. I know that there is alot of hate against President Obama and what he stands for. That’s debatable. But whoever decided to use hanging chairs to display their content of hatred on the President is really out of their mind. Clearly it is a form of racism. I think that stands it most. I mean look, hanging chairs. Come on people. This copycat of “Eastwooding” with chairs is getting stale. Now when the RNC was happening, where there hanging chairs around the sametime as counting black folks at the Convention? No. But there were folks throwing peanuts at black camera workers. Technically there was no denying that in which did happen. I’ll bet these are the same folks who feel that having a President of color like Obama in the White House (which blacks built by the way, more on that later) is more like a threat or fear. When the President came into office in 2009 as we all know, first it was breath of fresh air of not saying the words: George W. Bush messed up the country. And yes, after that, it was a hate-fest of seeing and hearing hate groups rising up. Or the typical comment about “he’s going to barbecue on the White House Lawn.” Well he did! And the typical “were going to take our country back!” I ask again, back from whom? Cue the Tea Party also.

Speaking of African Americans and the White House, I went on the buzzfeed website today, and it was showing a picture of a man with a Romney/Ryan shirt having the words: “Put the White back in the White House.”

Oh really?

I want those who feel this way to listen up or read these words that I am about to say. And those who want to know in the Black American studies, or those who are “street but cool”: Black people BUILT (and the keyword is BUILT) the White House! Oh yes. Blacks (enslaved blacks) BUILT the house in which Barack Obama, and the presidents before him work and play. And if you feel that this is a slap in the face of me telling this in a truthful manner, there is a book out now called “The Black History of the White House”. Go to your Barnes and Nobles, your Amazons or where ever you do your book shopping, by the book, (or rent it from a library) and READ IT! Oh yeah, the truth will hit you upside the head! Now to those who know this, you may want to add this to the collection. And on top of that, I will say that more African American history is being not only discovered, but rediscovered! Such as blacks built the U.S. Capitol. Real Talk!

It really gets me that those who have this “Keep the White in the White House” thing has no knowledge on how the mansion got built. Oh and they consider themselves “proud Americans”. Really? Shameful!

I’ve heard this everywhere. And I’ve read this on the news, blogs and social media. Some

I’ve heard this everywhere. And I’ve read this on the news, blogs and social media. Some are believing that Mitt Romney won the first round. But the issue is, most of what he debated against President Obama. And oh yeah, Obama had his strong points in terms of the country losing 750,000 jobs BEFORE getting the chair in DC, as well as others, but many have speculated that the President may have let Romney in under the radar in terms of strategy. Jennifer Granholm called it on her show The War Room that he would lose the first debate. Well apparently she was right. But then again this had got me thinking: Whom else before who had gone on to repeat as President, lost the first debate in an election year?

The most obvious I know:

George W. Bush. He lost his first debate to John Kerry, but after that, repeated. Remember 2004 when we or most of us were all PO’d yet again?

Ronald Reagan. Yeah, every republicans dreamer, lost his first debate against Walter Mondale back in 1984 due to his age thing, but repeated in the next two debates.

Gerard Ford lost his first round in 1976, the same year when I came into the world, and rebounded.

Bill Clinton for reference didn’t lost his first round to Bob Dole, but still managed to repeat as the 42nd President in 1996.

So yes, it’s happened before! Google the info.

Now, I hate to break this to the Romney Maniacs in the country, but sometimes, history can repeat itself. Overall it’s been repeating since 1976, except for 1996. Don’t be surprised if and IF Obama comes back around and makes a turn around knockout on Mitt Romney along with a renewed confidence. Most likely that might happen. There is no question that the level field of game play will be entirely different.

Now what is up with Romney folks wanting to defund Public Broadcasting? Like the Sesame Streets, Mr. Rodgers Neighborhoods, Reading Rainbows and many other educated programs that most of us used as kids and I dare say adults? Many of us had those memories how to count one-two-three, or asking those to be our neighbors or in the words of LeVar Burton, “You don’t have to take my word for it”.

Speaking of LeVar Burton, and Reading Rainbow, he had a comment to say in regarding the latest gaffe if you will on Mitt Romney’s statement in regarding Public Broadcasting via the Reading Rainbow website:

“Last night Mitt Romney stated that as President he would cease to fund PBS. I am personally outraged that any serious contender for the White House would target as part of his campaign the children of America in this fashion. Educators across the country, as well as millions of children and adults know that the programming on PBS has been responsible for significant improvements in education, literacy, math, science and life skills for generations of our children. PBS represents .00016% of our nation’s budget, yet this free resource benefits kids across all economic circumstances. Defending PBS directly punishes the less fortunate by removing this trusted and extraordinary educational resource available to all.

On behalf of America’s children, I can’t stay silent. I encourage you to join me in fighting this short sighted and frankly mean spirited attack on our children. Let your voices be heard through Facebook, Twitter, in emails and calls to the Romney campaign and in your votes. Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, The Magic School Bus, Arthur, Bill Nye and dozens more current and past beloved programs cannot be sacrificed.

But you don’t have to take my word for it… Make your own decision about how you feel about Romney’s campaign against PBS, and act.”

Just remember that this is coming from a individual that once played Geordi La Forge on Star Trek. I’m just saying. But he knows his stuff with reading, education, and children. Back in the day, before blogging was cool, I was hooked on Reading Rainbow. Specifically with this:

And this was one of the main reasons why I got introduced to rap music. See what happens when you include this with education? I”m just saying. No lie. Now I just said that I was introduced to hip hop by watching that one episode of Reading Rainbow. Others might laugh or getting an attitude about I should have watched it on MTV or some other station. The problem of that is, one: I was a young buck. And two, I didn’t start watching MTV until the mid to late 80′s.

But anyway, knowing this. I would yet to believe that the President will indeed bounce back. This past debate was just one round. And if I were a real Romney supporter, I would be careful to celebrate of beating the President in the first debate. Just sometimes, those one hit wonder victories can be short lived.
