A NBC News, MSNBC y MySpace trazem uma novidade (?) para cobertura das eleições norte-americana: textos escritos por cidadãos-repórteres. Porém, a novidade (agora sem ?) é que um concurso será realizado para escolha dos colaboradores.

O “teste” consiste em produzir um vídeo de dois minutos para mostrar suas habilidades no que tange a produção/edição/apresentação de conteúdo. Haverá um juri técnico, que escolherá cinco finalistas, depois esses cinco candidatos serão escolhidos em votação na comunidade do MySpace para eleger os dois “repórteres-colaborativos”.

Os eleitos irão cobrir as convenções (democrata e republica) e seus materias serão publicados no Decision08 e, possivelmente, na web do MSNBC.

Estamos diante uma possível tendência de relação/interação dos media com os cidadãos-repórteres?

One thing’s for sure, with the incumbent President leaving office, change is inevitable.

It is not so much a battle cry that should, at least in the political sense, evoke any sense of divine revelation or inspirational fervor; it is simply a proclamation of fact.

The real battle cry to anyone of vision and integrity is deliverance, transformation, improvement, excellence, character and integrity.

Does this come from one who claims to have taken on the torch of John F. Kennedy and the vision of Martin Luther King of racial unity but has, for 20 some years, attended an all-black church that calls for Black Separatism — though King decried Sunday from 11 to noon as the most segregated time of week in the places where God is no respecter of persons and races, and united with Billy Graham in New York and elsewhere (King, not the new kid on the block) — who took the name of his “Audacity of Hope” from his pastor and speech passages from others without shame or attribution, and whose most beloved spiritual and personal adviser used his position and church (the candidate’s own church) to proclaim great the great glories and heap honor upon the name and person of anti-Christian black separatist “Minister” Louis Farrakhan in giving him …
