CINCINNATI (AP) — Famed groundhog Punxsutawney Phil might want to go back into hibernation.

Authorities in still-frigid Ohio have issued an “indictment” of the furry rodent, who predicted an early spring when he didn’t see his shadow after emerging from his western Pennsylvania lair on Feb. 2.

“Punxsutawney Phil did purposely, and with prior calculation and design, cause the people to believe that spring would come early,” Mike Gmoser, the prosecutor in southwestern Ohio’s Butler County, wrote in an official-looking indictment.

Listen to a report from Maggie McKay and Michael Knight:

[cbs-audio url="http://cbsfwbam.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/punxatawney20phil.mp3" size="340px" download="" name="Punxsutawney Phil is indicted" artist="KFWB NEWS TALK 980"]

Gmoser wrote that Punxsutawney Phil is charged with misrepresentation of spring, which constitutes a felony “against the peace and dignity of the state of Ohio.”

The penalty Phil faces? Gmoser says — tongue firmly in cheek — is death.

Punxsutawney Phil does not have a listed phone number.

Bill Deeley, president of the Punxsutawney club that organizes Groundhog Day, said Phil has a lawyer and would fight any extradition attempt by Ohio authorities.

Deeley defended his fur-bearing associate and said the death penalty was “very harsh” given the nature of the allegations.

“We’ll have to plead our case one way or the other, but I think we can beat the rap,” Deeley said.

The vitriolic backlash on social media to Phil’s dead-wrong prognostication has not gone unnoticed in and around Gobbler’s Knob, Deeley said, and special security precautions were in place.

“Right next to where Phil stays is the police station,” he said. “They’ve been notified and they said they will keep watching their monitors.”

Winter has been dragging on in the Buckeye State and surrounding areas, with daily high temperatures this week hovering in the mid-30s and no end in sight for about 10 days, said Don Hughes, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.

A storm moving into the region Sunday could bring between 4 and 8 inches of snow, he said.

“It’s taking too long,” Hughes said, adding that he’s hearing plenty of complaints from colleagues and neighbors about the late spring. “Most people I’ve talked to say they’ve had enough. They want spring. They’re looking for colors and sunshine and Easter lilies.”

The frigid temperatures and snow might be particularly hard to swallow after last spring, when the U.S. saw the warmest March in recorded history. Highs in the Cincinnati area, for instance, were well into the 80s.

Hughes said this spring isn’t nearly the coldest on record but that the area is about 5 degrees below normal.

Gmoser’s indictment made no mention of a possible co-conspirator in the false prediction of early spring, Ohio’s own forecasting groundhog, Buckeye Chuck.

Chuck also failed to see his shadow when he emerged from his burrow on Feb. 2 in Marion in north-central Ohio.

No.1000 as restored in 1959

To meet the need for increased locomotive power at the beginning of the twentieth century Johnson had, in 1900, produced his large Belpaire 4-4-0, but at the same time he was also considering a still larger engine based on the compound principle.

Amongst the various experiments in compounding which had been taking place on the railways, he was particularly impressed with an engine on the North Eastern, which had been rebuilt with three cylinders, one high pressure inside and two low pressure outside, to the patented design of William Smith, locomotive draughtsman of the NER. The main principle of this system was that the engine could at the will of the driver be worked if desired as a 3-cylinder simple, to give maximum, power on starting, and by means of controlled valves going over to the semi-compound or full compound expansion. Johnson therefore put in hand an engine of his own embodying this system which duly appeared in January 1902 as No. 2631. Four more were built before his retirement in 1903, Nos. 2632-5.

No. 2632 as built

These five engines put up some fine work on the mountainous Settle-Carlisle line, and Deeley, who had succeeded Johnson, decided to build more engines of the same general design but with important differences, the chief of which was the provision of a patent regulator by which the engine always started non-compound and automatically changed over to full compound with the advance of the regulator. There were also some external differences in appearance, the running plates being raised clear of the coupling rods, whilst the rectangular rear splasher gave way to a quarter-circle blended into the cab side sheets.

Thirty of the new Deeley engines appeared in 1905-6, numbered 1000-29. At the 1907 renumbering the original five Johnson engines took the numbers 1000-4, and the Deeley engines were increased by five, becoming 1005-34. A further ten engines, Nos. 1035-44, came out in 1908-9.

No more were built in Midland days, but the design with slight modifications was adopted as a standard type early in the grouping, and no less than 195 further engines were turned out between 1924 and 1932, numbered 1045-1199, and 900-39. Still more were to have been constructed, but the order was cancelled when W.A (later Sir William) Stanier came on the scene, as he had very different ideas on the subject of locomotive power.

Nos. 1000-4 were eventually rebuilt in line with the Deeley engines, and at the same time were superheated, Nos. 1000 and 1004 in 1914, 1001 and 1003 in 1915, and 1002 in 1919. No. 1040 had already received a superheater in 1913, but it was not until 1919 that it was decided to superheat the remainder of the class, commencing with No. 1009. The LMS-built engines were, of course, superheated from the start.

The class as a whole did magnificent work; possibly their greatest achievements were on the Caledonian and G&SWR main lines in the intermediate post-grouping years. They also did remarkably well on the LNWR two-hour expresses, but were probably not quite so happy on the other LNWR main lines owing to an instinctive distrust of Compounds by North Western men inherited from the Webb days. No. 1054 made history by running non-stop from Euston to Edinburgh, a distance of all but 400 miles in May 1928. This was the quiet answer of the LMS to the LNER’s announcement that it would run the ‘Flying Scotsman’ non-stop between the two capital cities by use of a corridor tender whereby the crew could be relieved en route. The LMS reply was to divide the Royal Scot into two portions, one running non-stop to Glasgow and the other to Edinburgh. The performance was not repeated, but it effectively stole the limelight from the LNER performance.

With the decline in maintenance standards which set in during the war and has remained since, the Compounds gradually fell into some disrepute, as they required more attention in this respect than they received. Moreover, they were largely put to work on local trains, duties for which they were unsuitable, and in consequence got a poor reputation through no fault of their own, as they were magnificent engines when kept in proper trim and well handled. Probably they were the only outstanding successful compound design this country has seen.

The beginning of the end was inevitable. All passed into BR hands at Nationalisation in 1948. No.1002 was scraped shortly afterwards in the same year, and all of the Midland ones had been withdrawn by 1952. A start was made on the LMS batch in 1953, and by the end of 1959 less than a dozen remained. All except a few of the early MR engines lasted long enough to have 40000 added to their numbers.

The original No.41000 was fortunately kept in store at Crewe for a number of years and in 1959 was fully restored to its rebuilt 1914 condition in Midland colours for preservation and for working special trains.

As the seasons change, this can only mean one thing to us fashionistas… A NEW WARDROBE! That

As the seasons change, this can only mean one thing to us fashionistas… A NEW WARDROBE! That’s right, no matter the season, whether it be Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall because for fashion lovers it’s all about adding some wonderful trendy fabulous pieces to our wardrobe. So, what better way to do that than to follow, you’ve guessed it, the main event that comes with each change of season… Fashion Week!

Oh Fashion Week, how we love thee… let us count the ways. The 2012 fall season of Fashion Week kicked off Thursday with multiple Fashion’s Night Out around the world! We’re talking from NYC to Milan; But don’t think you have to be in one of those grand cities to get and experience the wonderful love known as fashion week.

More often than not, your own neck of the woods will put something together and that’s exactly what I have experienced in Orlando over the past two years. This year, I was able to enjoy a fantastic show and it was all for a good cause. The Runway To Hope show is put on every year by famed Orlando Attorney to the Stars, Mark NeJame and his wife Josie.

Josie and Mark NeJame, Founders of Runway To Hope

Runway To Hope’s mission is to serve and provide direct support to the children and families in the Central Florida community who have been impacted by pediatric cancer. One of the ways the organization does this is by hosting a champaign brunch and fashion show during fashion week.

Tory Burch- Fall 2012 Collection

This year’s event brought fall’s hottest looks from Emporio Armani, Tory Burch, Neiman Marcus, Jimmy Choo Shoes, David Yurman and Rolex. By the way, the Tory Burch collection was to die for! All of the looks were put together by famed Orlando stylist, the lovely Melanie Pace.

Click here for Photos from Runway To Hope’s fashion show

It was hosted by Emmy nominated host, Cat Deeley, and if you don’t know Cat, you should! This lady is a class act who lives up to that saying, “What you see is what you get!”

We all know that she is amazing at her job along with being funny, bubbly and lovable as the host of So You Think You Can Dance, but in talking with Cat, I realized she has much more. There was nothing but kindness and humility oozing from her tall slender frame.

So You Think You Can Dance host, Cat Deeley

Which to that, I say… “YAY, Do it girl!” There’s nothing better, than meeting someone who looks nice on television and they actually are that way! In between hosting her full-time gig, Cat must spend time perfecting her style because she’s become one that people are paying attention to when it comes to what she’s wearing.

In fact, word on the street, the fashion streets that is, is that a good chunk of the clothes she wears for SYTYCD are her own pieces. To sum it all up and to make it plain, Cat’s quit the fashionista who’s vintage, pretty girl edgy style is getting her all the right attention and making her one of the fashion world’s “Cat’s meow!”

In fact, Cat was just featured in last month’s issue of InStyle Magazine, but it’s not just the big magazines Ms. Deeley is talking to.

In an exclusive interview with her at the Runway To Hope show, I asked Cat about her style icons, inspiration and the pieces she just can’t live without.

However, that’s not all I wanted to know about our lovely friend from across the pond. I also took the time to stir the pot a little bit, so I asked the darling Deeley a hard-hitting question about the So You Think You Can Dance contestants, past and present.

If you’re just in love with that show like I am and if you just love… love fashion like I do, you too were probably wondering how the contestants dress off the stage, so I asked the lovely Brit to tell me her top three dance stars when it comes to fashion and sense of style! Check it out!

“We wanted to put a new spin on the dating game show that gives celebrities THE CHOICE of a lifetime and the chance to prove you really shouldn’t judge a book by its cover,” said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

Filmed in front of a live audience, each episode begins with four of the world’s most eligible bachelors sitting in rotating chairs, turning their backs on love and unable to see the sexy singles looking for a date with fame. In this initial “Blind Round,” each celebrity can only use his suitors’ voices – as they share information about their life, passions, turn-ons and turn-offs – to help himself make THE CHOICE. When the celebrity bachelor likes what he hears, he pulls his “love handle,” spinning his chair around to bring him face-to-face for the first time with his potential mate. If more than one celebrity pulls the handle, they must battle it out for her affection until the sexy single gets THE CHOICE to pick whose dating pool she wants to swim in.

Once each bachelor has his three hotties, the teams enter the “Speed Choice” round, where each woman has only seconds to convince her leading man to sweep her off her feet to the final round.

In the final round, love is on the line when host Deeley poses a challenge question to each of the team’s final two. The celebrities must then make THE CHOICE between each of their two remaining eligible ladies, whisking one away on a dream date and leaving one in no man’s land.

Some of the world’s most famous bachelorettes will also be blinded by love in an episode that features the ladies sitting in the hot seats. These coveted women will make not only their chairs, but their suitors’ heads spin when the men realize this is a date of a lifetime.

THE CHOICE is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions (HELL’S KITCHEN and KITCHEN NIGHTMARES). Arthur Smith, Kent Weed and Scott St. John (“Deal or No Deal”) serve as executive producers.

S.W.Johnson’s first thirty 4-4-0s were of two varieties, ten engines in 1876 with 6’ 6” driving wheels, Nos. 1312-21, followed by another twenty in 1877, Nos.1327-46, which had 7’ 0” drivers. The 4-4-0 design type was continued in 1882 and remained substantially the same until 1901, but successive batches had increased dimensions, and some were built with 6’ 6” wheels and some with 6’ 9” and others with 7’ 0”. The later-built ones, with their larger cylinders, proved themselves to be somewhat underboilered, and Deeley rebuilt the whole lot (with the exception of the original thirty engines) between 1903and 1910 with much larger boilers, at the same time as doing away with the decorative splashers and other Johnson features. As rebuilt they were greatly improved, but when Henry Fowler (afterwards Sir Henry Fowler) appeared on the scene in 1910 he was still not entirely satisfied with them and the majority underwent a further nominal rebuilding, and emerged with superheaters and cut-away splashers. It seems doubtful whether this second transformation can be classified as a true rebuild, as little if any of the original engine was used in the reconstruction, although the engines emerged from the shops bearing the numbers of those they replaced. They are therefore regarded as an entirely new class originating in 1912.

Not all of these received this second treatment, some were modified later merely by the provision of Belpaire fireboxes or extended smokeboxes, or both, and thus a considerable number of minor varieties resulted. Quite a few were scrapped in the intermediate condition, as it may be described, mostly in the 1920s, but a small number of engines of one batch of the 6’ 6” variety lasted much longer, in fact one of them survived to become BR No.40383 and was not withdrawn until 1952. At the 1907 renumbering the rebuilt engines became Nos. 328-562.

Returning to the original batch, two of the 7’ 0” engines had been scrapped before 1907, when the remainder became Nos.310-27, whilst the 6’ 6” locos were 300-9. The only one of all these to be altered to any extent was No. 323, which acquired an extended smokebox, but retaining the small boiler with Salter safety valves on the dome. The last of the unrebuilt 6’ 6” engines was No. 306, scrapped in 1930, whilst No. 311 of the 7-footers was in service until 1934.

One of the M&GNR engines, No.77 after receiving a Belpaire firebox in 1930.

It should be mentioned that another forty engines of the same design were constructed between 1894 and 1899 for the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway. Ten of these were rebuilt with larger boilers corresponding to the intermediate stage of the Midland engines, the others retained their small boilers, but received extended smokeboxes like No.323, and a few of them also had Belpaire fireboxes in later years. They passed into the hands of the LNER in 1936, which Company scrapped them all by 1945. The magnificent work these small engines had done with heavy loads in M&GNJR days, however, deserves to be mentioned as bordering on the well-nigh impossible. It was not unknown for them in the height of the summer season to cope with trains of sixteen bogies, a load more suited to a modern ‘Pacific’ in later days.

The dimensions of these engines have varied so considerably both in the original state and final rebuilding that it is not possible to tabulate full details. The following, however, are provided as a specimen.

Original 1877 series of 7’ 0” engines – Driving wheels – 7’ 0”, Cylinders – 18”x 26”, Pressure – 140 lb.

S.W Johnson. Chief Mechanical Engineer from 1873 to 1903, who designed some of the most beautiful engines ever built

S.W.Johnson’s standard freight engine for the Midland Railway, of which the first 140 were turned out in the space of three years, from 1875 to 1877. The class was thereupon multiplied at intervals until 1902, when a total of 865 engines had appeared plus a further 25 built for the Somerset & Dorset Railway, and another sixteen for the Midland & Great Northern Joint. They were not all quite identical as some of the earlier ones had 4’ 10” driving wheels in place of the late standard size of 5’ 3”, and cylinder dimensions, etc., were slightly increased as time went on. The basic design with modifications was continued from 1903 under Deeley’s superintendency, the main difference being the use of a considerably larger Class 3 boiler, and a further seventy were built to this pattern. Subsequently, about half of the earlier Class 2 engines were rebuilt with these Class 3 boilers, including nearly all of the later built ones. The middle group eventually became more or less evenly divided, but none of the earliest built ones below 3130 was ever altered to Class 3. The number of the whole class after 1907 ran from 2900 to 3834, and if one accepts variations and regards them as one class, then this total of 976 engines (including the S&DJR and M&GNJR ones) must take pride of place as the most numerous ever constructed in this country. Purists, however, might award the claim to the LNWR Dx goods with its total of 943 engines (86 of which were L&YR) as these were to all intents and purposes identical.

No.3333 as running with a Class 3 Belpaire boiler in 1929.

From 1917 onwards most of those remaining Class 2 gradually acquired Belpaire boilers of similar dimensions, with Ramsbottom safety valves, although one or two managed to retain their Johnson type boiler with Salter valves on the dome till the end, in one case as late as 1959. The more commodious type of Deeley cab was also provided in most cases, but not invariably.

What a great three days my wife Pat and I have had last week with our good friend Wendy Volhard. Wen

What a great three days my wife Pat and I have had last week with our good friend Wendy Volhard. Wendy decided she would like to learn a few things from us about gun dog training and other bits of training stuff she felt she needed. Well, to be honest, I am not sure who learned more, Wendy or us. She is a wealth of information and great company. We talked dogs and dogs and dogs. We worked and trained dogs that were in for Board and train as well as my own dogs in hunting work. Wendy has Labradors now, as well as dachshunds and she is getting a hankering to train in gundog skills. Well she has competed at the highest level is many other dog sports so why not go out and do the business in hunting dog work. We had fun.

As we sat enjoyed dinners and time together we talked nutrition, breeding and husbandry. There is so much that we can earn and use to help our dogs and owners. Wendy has developed a great food that is mixed with beef mince to give the perfect diet for dogs. In addition she has an additive/supplement, which you put with kibble to give that little extra needed vitality and health to dogs that are basically kibble fed. This supplement called Endurance I have used for my dogs for a while and really find it does make a difference. I have also used the mixer with beef and found it very easy to feed. Dogs of course love it and the results have been very noticeable. Natural minced beef with Wendi’s mixer provides the perfect diet. Young pups, that no matter what you try, do not seem to be quite right physically have shown dramatic improvement on it. I once had a pup that was very thin on coat and somehow did not look as good as my pups usually do. After a test, which showed Thyroid on the low side but within the normal levels, Wendy advised me to feed with her diet plus add liver and Endurance. Within a month we had a different dog, both in coat and mind set. Wendy has taken Landseer Newfies to over 13 years of age on her diet even when diagnosed with liver problems at an early age. Hey, makes me want to go on the diet!!

When it comes to nutrition and developing a healthy mind and body in your dog this lady is the best. We can train exercise and love but without a healthy mind and body we are limited. I would say when love is just not enough to help your dog, talk to Wendy. She is unselfish with her time and advice and what she says pays off. A healthy mind and body provides the framework upon which we can build.

If like me you want the best for your go read some of the information Wendy has to offer at http://www.volharddognutrition.com/

With X Factor rumours flying around that
Cheryl Cole will be moving to the US, Mel B’s replacing
Dannii Minogue and
Mariah Carey is set to join the team, we round up to top rumours surrounding the X Factor judges.

Cheryl Cole has been lined up for an X Factor judging role next year

Cheryl Cole

Not only has Cheryl been linked to a move to the US version of the show in a rumoured £1.4 million deal, she was also allegedly offered a £700,000 pay rise for her place on the X Factor UK panel. Drinks on you then Cheryl?

Mel B

In a move that is sure to annoy current X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, former Spice Girl Mel B has been feeding rumours that she is set to join the show. She already has Louis Walsh ‘s backing, after the famously outspoken judge described Scary Spice as his ‘first choice’.

Bosses are only currently looking to replace Dannii while she’s on maternity leave, but there have been strong suggestions that the Aussie starlet may be axed all together.

Mariah Carey

41-year-old singer Sinitta may have let slip that Mariah’s set to join the US team after a recent interview in which she blurted out: ‘It’s amazing that so many people want to do it, it’s huge. Everybody is up for it, Mariah, OK I’m not saying any more!’. X Factor mogul Simon Cowell is set to launch his US version of X Factor in 2011.

Kelly Rowland

Rumours circulated around the ex-Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland after she openly asked Simon Cowell for a spot on the show .

She told New! magazine ‘The X Factor is an amazing show and Simon knows that all he has to do is call me.’

Rowland joins Mel B in the running for Dannii’s maternity leave replacement, though Cowell is yet to respond to Kelly’s very public request.

Caroline Flack

ITV’s spin-off show ‘golden girl’ is set to replace Holly Willoughby as presenter of the Xtra Factor according to the latest reports. The role had previously been linked to BBC One Show presenter Christine Bleakley, though it seems the deal to bring Christine to ITV with Adrian Chiles has fallen through.

Flack is reported to have met up with X Factor boss Simon Cowell in a ‘secret’ meeting to discuss a possible role for her, building on her successes hosting the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show.

Cat Deeley and Dermot O’Leary

Deeley recently denied rumours that suggested the beauty would be hosting the US version of the show alongside Dermot O’Leary stating: ‘I don’t know a thing about it, not a thing.’

She did however suggest to Simon Cowell that if he was interested she would be happy to talk, stating: ‘You never know, providing I’m not chatting to someone else.’

‘I love Mr O’Leary. I’ve been a big, big fan of Mr O’Leary’s since I worked with him,‘ she added.

A wildly rambunctious crowd roars as Cat Deeley entered the stage last night. Was it that the competition is close to halfway through, or the drastic change of her hair style? I guess we’ll never know.

America’s votes, along with heavy influence from our judges, have narrowed it down to the illustrious top 12, and last night, each couple danced two routines. We get the chance to begin to really know the dancers separately now that we get to see a little more of them each week, along with the fact that they will be split up with different partners next week, if they are put through to the Top Ten.

A little fact for those of you who may not know, the reason being in the Top Ten is so desired by our dancers is that if you are selected, you are featured on the U.S. Tour to follow, which is a huge deal.

Last night kicked off rather quickly, having to fit 12 dances into the 2 hour period, with an opening Disco number by Melissa & Ade. This routine was certainly no match for the intense disco dancin’ done by Brandon & Janine a couple weeks back, but really held it’s own. Melissa constantly surprises us with the ability to do hard-hitting choreo even though her background is mostly ballet, and Ade’s strength is put on display week after week. I feel like Ade’s strength IS his strength, and wonder if put to the test, if he could handle a more intricate routine.

Double K’s, Kayla and Kupono, were fateful enough to land a Mia Michaels routine this week that dealt with addiction. It is honestly one of the best dances emotionally that I have seen out of this season. Last season was filled with these types of numbers, but this year has been more about the fast-pace and fun, so it was refreshing to get a taste of the dramatic. They danced it so very well, and Kayla’s amazing ability mixed with Kupono’s sudden intensity really pulled together a beautiful piece.

Jason and Caitlyn’s Fox Trot had amazing choreography, but I feel the backing music lacked the big crashes and hits that would have accentuated this excellent routine. Following that was the travesty of the Russian Folk number, danced by Phillip and Jeanine. This poor couple completed the steps to the best of their ability, but Phillip lacks a certain amount of training to make this solid from top to bottom. Jeanine can do anything, but the choreography was shockingly “it’s a small world after all” and the costuming made it look like a hysterical joke.

Beyonce’s chart-climbing hit, “Halo”, was featured in the Tabitha and Napoleon dance for Randi and Evan. This was the perfect type of hip-hop for the two with Evan’s background in theater. They glided through the moves, and held an amazing storyline, beaming electric chemistry. There may have been some other dancers who could have hit it a little harder, but these two pulled it off smoothly incorporating their ability with acting.

Dancing what Nigel called the most nearly perfect number in SYTYCD history, Brandon and Jeanine tear up an Argentina Tango all over the place. I mean, the temperature in the room rose about 100 degrees and from start to finish, it was sheer perfection. These two have been on cloud nine, top of their game from day one, and have given a wow-factor moment in almost every number they have performed.

I have to admit that the next set of dances weren’t exactly us much to “sneeze” at, if you get my drift. Though all the dancing is amazing, I feel the dancers may have been worn, since it was their first week learning and perfecting two crazy hard numbers instead of one.

Next up, we have “Natural Woman” where Melissa and Ade take the floor for a second time. I have to say this number was a little under-whelming, not to say the lifts weren’t impressive, it just lacked that extra “umph” to push it over the edge for me. Following that was Broadway routine by Joey Dawling for Kayla and Kupono, that was a great use of the stage and excellent choreo, but was slightly lackluster. Following were Jason and Caitlyn with a Mandy Moore lyrical jazz dance that was pretty to the ‘T’ but was labeled as possibly unmemorable.

The luscious ladies really spiced up the second half for us. Phillip and Jeanine came out strong with a hot little number to Bette Midler’s “Stuff Like That There”. Jeanine is proving that she is a force to be reckoned with and a definite dancer to watch for some of the top spots. When she dances, she brings it all, no matter the challenge or style, and is an absolutely beautiful girl and dancer. Phillip left us needing more, as usual when he is outside of his hip-hop style.

Coming up next was Randi shining like a star and looking amazing in her animal print outfit. She and Evan attacked a Samba and it went very well. The judges slighted Evan, but had nothing but lots of praise for Randi from each of them.

Lastly, Janette and Brandon come back out with an incredible Wade Robson dance. I’ve said it a million times, but I’ll say it again, they are absolutely on top of their game week after week after week, and it is astonishing to watch. I love that they bring an incredible life and character to every dance that they perform.

Now, my predictions are tough, because I think that going home should be more than one guy. The girls this year are just amazing, and if it were up to me, they would all stay. Here are my guesses for the bottom three: (yikes!)

1.) Phillip & Jeanine

2.) Jason & Caitlyn

3.) Melissa & Ade

God, it was painful to even type that. I’d say the only girl that merits being there would be Caitlyn, and I think that Jason or Phillip could go home this week. I guess we’ll see tonight!

Vote to let me know how you like the best!

With an opening night like last week’s, how could you possibly top it? That was the question on ever

With an opening night like last week’s, how could you possibly top it? That was the question on everyone’s mind before viewing last night’s episode of SYTYCD. Unfortunately the answer was, you can’t. Although there were still some absolutely amazing numbers, the highs and lows were much more dramatic this week from performance to performance.

Sadly: The weakest link for me this week was Phillip. Apparently he has a HUGE following (as they like to reiterate every 2 seconds on the show), but for me, it’s a show to show basis. He is amazing at his genre, and is quite possibly one of the most gifted in that sense, but his lack of training in partnering / lifts as well as inability to mold into these other genres are going to make it impossible for him to progress much further on the show. I don’t think he will be the one to go this week, as per my following comment above, but I do think he will not be making it much further unless he scores another hip-hop routine in the near future.

I personally felt that the judges were way more harsh this week. Even the numbers that I thought were up to the caliber of last week’s performances were given negative comments. Perhaps last week’s show was ‘choreographed’ to be such a hit, seeing as each couple somehow chose their genre and the judges were overly complimentary and less harsh. Reality television has a couple aces up it’s sleeve when it comes to playing with our emotions.

Lil’ C has been reading the dictionary a little too much. I am not opposed to being well spoken and educated, but it seems like he is attempting to sound superior. Would it kill him to be a little more exuberant after a kick-ass performance? It’s no wonder why Cat veered straight to Mary subsequently after Lil’ C was killing the mood with impressive vocabulary but poor sentence structure. I’d prefer if he were not on the panel ever again. I could even deal with the Mia Michaels’ experience filled with harsh and rude comments before listening to his jibberish.

Happily: We are getting to see a little more about the contestants now and solidifying their names with their faces. It always makes the dances and competition a little more exciting when you get to know them, their stories/background, and individual personalities. I still refuse to say that I have a favorite at this point. The guys are more straight forward for me, but the girls are a little more of a mystery.

Two of the most fun numbers of the night were the Jive routine performed by Evan Kasprzak and Randi Evans and the disco number performed by Janette Manrara and Brandon Bryant. The disco number was an absolute surprise. For me, there’s usually no surprises in disco, it’s usually a huge repetition of dance moves pulled from the ‘disco library’, but tonight I was honestly pleasantly surprise.

I did not know whether to be impressed or not by the number choreographed by Sonya Tayek for Melissa and Ade. It was strangely good, but not necessarily visually pleasing. She’s weird, so I like her anyways.

Vitolio and Asuka redeemed themselves somewhat this week through their contemporary performance to some Enya song that sounds like..well, every Enya song you’ve ever heard. Still not a favorite, strong couple for me, but we will see what is up in the weeks to come.

I’m intensely excited for the Results Show tonight. I feel that maybe Jason & Caitlyn, Ashley & Kupono, and possibly Phillip & Jeanine will be our bottom three couples. We’ll see!

Move over Cat Deeley – Myleene Klass is heading to the US in a bid to conquer all.

She’s signed a £100,000 deal to front the popular US version of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Here!

Klassy: Myleene will be taking part in the US version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

Klass will bolster her estimated £4million fortune amassed since turning around her dwindling career when she was runner-up on ITV’s version of the show in 2006.

Deeley and Simon Cowell have both successfully become household names across America and now Klass is set to try to take their crowns.

During her own stint in the jungle, the former Hear’Say pop star reminded viewers of her talents in her bikini.

She then embarked on building a showbiz empire which has now got US execs fighting for her.

Bikini babe: Myleene stunned the nation with her great personality and other assets

US bosses really took a shine after Klass impressed with a US TV debut hosting for CNN’s The Screening Room, claim reports.

Now they are well aware of the Klass-effect which, in part, helped rescue one of UK’s biggest brands Marks & Spencer when it gave her £1million to be the face of their resurrection back in 2007.

The brand clung on to Klass’s services as it parted with a sleuth of professional models including Elizabeth Jagger, Noemie Lenoir, Erin O’Connor or Lily Cole.

Since leaving her pop career in 2001, the beauty has meticulously transformed herself into a money-spinning A-lister.

To go with her M&S deal, Klass has banked another six figures for playing the piano in a string of shampoo adverts for Panten.

The workaholic also rakes in the cash for her Channel 4 makeover show Ten Years Younger, as well as hosting the Classic FM Breakfast Show on Saturdays and Sundays.

Becoming a yummy mummy in 2007 for the first time has also added to the 31-year-old’s bankability after she put her name to a lucrative baby clothing range named, Baby K, at Mothercare.

Take two: Myleene will be entering the jungle for a second time

She also cashed in a pregnancy diary chronicling the birth of her daughter Ava, which stormed to No 1 spot on the Sunday Times bestseller list.

Here, UK executives are loathed at the thought of Klass going States-side as many had tipped her to snatch the top breakfast couch job and replace Fern Britton on ITV’s This Morning. Seems the boat has sailed and America is going to get a touch of Klass.
