Il loro modello di business, che prevede una forma di negoziazione con i grandi enti per la tutela del diritto d’autore, si concretizza con la firma di un accordo con le due principali agenzie francesi la SACEM e la SESAM nell’agosto 2007 e, di conseguenza, con il lancio del primo sito web musicale interamente gratuito e legale. In seguito deezer ha siglato degli accordi con alcune grandi case discografiche, tra le quali Sony BMG e il gigante Universal Music. La mission è di offrire gratuitamente e legalmente alla rete tutti i tipi di musica e di permettere agli autori e ai possessori di diritti di ricevere una parte dei ricavi pubblicitari.

Queste sono solo alcune delle caratteristiche del portale: ascolto real time dei brani scegliendo tra oltre 2,5 milioni di pezzi, radio tematiche,  aggiornamenti continui su artisti e opere,  condivisione delle playlist e gusti musicali con tutti gli utenti della community, talent-scout, download e storage dei propri mp3.

Contenti tutti, credo. L’iniziativa di Deezer in qualche modo riporta la bilancia più dalla parte di chi vive intensamente il duro lavoro di creare, produrre e realizzare musica. L’artista negli ultimi tempi è stato molto penalizzato dalla rete, che pur permettendo la divulgazione rapida delle opere, lo ha relegato in un ruolo di player svantaggiato, rispetto ad un traffico che aumenta sfruttandone il nome ed a un’utenza ormai dedita alla pirateria più sfrenata, per colpa dei siti capeggiati da emule, che solo per il fatto di essere condivisi da moltissimi, perdono agli occhi dell’opinione pubblica quella connotazione di ’pirateria’ che invece li contraddistingue e soprattutto li fa stare in vita.

Ci vorrebbe una nuova etica, basata sulla correttezza. Gli artisti vanno ripagati in qualche modo per poter continuare e perché quella musica che ci piace tanto ascoltare quasi sempre è frutto di tanto lavoro.

PROVARE DEEZER

Per aiutarvi ad entrare nella mentalità Deezer ho scelto un brano tratto dalla colonna sonora del film-musical Mamma Mia che uscirà a breve in Italia e che sarà STREPITOSO dal punto di vista musicale .

 ENTRA IN DEEZER 

Music is an important element of the story here at The Price of Love.

My earlier post provided a method for posting playlists using last.fm and playlist.com.

But how can you post a individual song? You might do this with playlist.com by creating a new playlist which is only one song long. Is there a simpler way?

Two online music sites which are well-adapted for the purpose are goear.com and deezer.com, and this post provides step-by-step user instructions to help you add songs to your WordPress.com site using these two sites. You don’t need to register to either of the sites to use them.

goear.com is my present favourite for the task. It’s simple to use, with a wide and varied selection of music, as well as being a specialist in Hispanic music.

To find the song you want, search by title or artist in the search bar. Several links will likely show up, so test these to check they work. Once you’re happy, find the link that says ‘open in small in window’, and copy the url for that link, which looks something like this:

“http://www.goear.com/listenwin.php?v=xxxyyyy”

If you’d like to display the song details (and this post shows an example), wait for the song to load and then fast-forward all the way through. Then take a screenshot of the song details. You can use ‘print screen’ and then crop to fit if you wish, but I prefer to use image software such as IrfanView (it’s free to download at irfanview.com and the screen grab function is at:

File->Options->Capture/Screenshot->Start->CTRL+F11.

Crop the screenshot to 330×125px for a neat, clean look, and save the image as ‘play songname by groupname.jpg’. Then upload the image onto your webpage. Save the page, and then go into the HTML editor to hunt down the relevant code, which will look like this:

Now in the second section of code, fill in the alt tag to be the same as the title tag. The strip of code now looks something like this:

When you click on the image, it will open in a new window and play.

deezer.com likewise has a varied selection of international music and is also especially strong on French artists.

To find the song you want, search under song title or artist in the search bar. Click on the song you want, and the player on the right will provide you with a permalink address: in this case it’s:

To post this song linked to a deezer.com logo, modify the following code:

Adapt the code above for your song, save the post, publish and you’re done.

When you click on the logo, it will open and play your song in a microplayer inside a new window.

There are lots of other adaptations which you’ll be able to find – for example, you could adapt these codes within a text widget to post music in the sidebar.

Discobitch – C’est beau la burgeoisie

Simply click on the link music player link. It will open in a new window and you can enjoy my favourite songs, i will at songs there from time to time ! I have not found a way to embed it here in my blog yet, but i will keep trying it.
