This past week I took an amazing trip to one of the most famous vacation spots in the Americas:  Cancun, Mexico!  I had been to Cancun already once before, but I was only three years of age at the time.  This being my second international trip this summer, it was just as enjoyable as my trip to Rome.  So here is what I did…..

Colorado is a state of constantly changing weather.  One day it may cold and the next day it may be hot.  One thing I can vaguely remember about Mexico was that it was always hot and very humid!  When I arrived in Cancun it didn’t look so hot outside, but when I actually got outside it was a cooker!  For most of the vacation I was either swimming in the pool or swimming at the beach.  I stayed at a five star hotel called the Mayan Palace which was very nice.  A person could pretty much spend their whole vacation there at that hotel because it had everything:  a swimming pool, a golf course, all kinds of different restaurants, etc.  During my third day in Cancun, I took a boat ride to the island of Cozumel off the coast of Playa Del Carmen.  It was there that I had some authentic Mexican food which was absolutely delicious!!  On my final day of vacation I went to a park called XCARET where I swam with Dolphins, watched an ancient Mayan fire hockey style game and much more.  So over all, the trip was very good!!!!!

Primax
Primax is a special swimming program that gives you a chance to observe the intelligence and amazing abilities of these animals. Participants are invited to pet their backs, give them kisses and, in return, they might surprise you turning around and asking you to rub their belly.

We believe the most unique part of Primax is the Foot Push activity. Our dolphins will impel you with all of their strength and make you glide through the water! After, you’ll be entertained by our dolphins’ impressive jumps from just a couple of meters away.

Primax schedules: Daily at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 am, 1:30 pm (and 3:00 pm on high seasons).

Trainer for a Day
If you’ve ever dreamed about training dolphins, this is the program for you. During the program you can experience a deeper relationship with dolphins and learn to communicate with them as trainer.

Our Trainer for a Day program includes valuable information about our breeding programs, veterinary training and scientific research. You’ll also learn training techniques and all the necessary care – like diet and veterinary monitoring – to keep dolphins in optimal conditions.

Trainer for a Day experience lasts 8.5 hours and includes a huge number of activities. The program is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. This program includes food and beverages at the Hotel.

The Summer Triangle’s shape is not up for debate.

For some reason I get the feeling that Delphinus and Scutum (among others) won’t be getting much screen time in this strip, so I might as well get it out of the way early.  Although I definitely get a “Eye of Sauron” vibe from this drawing of Scutum…  I may have to revisit that some time in the future.

Anyway, the Summer Triangle…  It’s up there right now!  Go outside and find it!
