Forever 21 has just launched another collection called Boutique by Forever 21.  The line is “vintage inspired, feminine and romantic” but still casual.

And they just launched a cosmetics line called Love and Beauty, which makes it the first beauty line for a fast fashion brand on U.S. soil according to WWD. The line can be found on forever21.com along with their new clothing collection.

Marchesa is now making handbags.  They showed their handbags with their collection for spring 2010.  Rihanna was spotted wearing a  black and white laser cut out Marchesa gown at the 2009 American Music Awards.

A list of ten fashion catchphrases.  Of course, one from Rachel Zoe is on the list.  I get the idea of smizing, but it just sounds weird to me.

Somehow, someone at Ungaro still thinks having Lindsay Lohan, “hot mess”, around is a good idea.   Even though, her collection was widely derided in the industry.

Check out itlooksgoodtome.  It’s a blog by a textile designer for the fashion industry.  It’s a collection of things she likes and all the illustrations are done by her.  She’s just finished a guest blog on luckymag.com.

It’s another photoshop fiasco.  Demi Moore for V Magazine in gold Balmain, and apparently part of her hip has been shaved down.  She’s insisting the photos have been barely retouched and she’s just skinny.  Yeah, just like she hasn’t had any “work” done.

Actress, Michelle Trachtenberg is the latest to join the ranks of “celebrity designers” with a jewelry collection for Coach’s Poppy line.

The Victoria’s Secret fashion show won’t be aired for a couple days til December 1st but here’s a little preview.

Last but not least, December’s edition of British Vogue features a collection of stories on the 7 Wonders of Fashion from various contributors.  Some choice items are the high heel (of course), the corset, and the pencil skirt.

In contemplating the name of this piece I actually toyed [excuse the pun] with calling it ‘the advent of the toy boy’ or is ‘age really nothing but a number? Before I get ahead of myself let me explain my oftentimes very random thought process.

Right so if you’re like me you watched the stunning Mariah Carey on Sunday’s X Factor. If you’re also like me, you took one look at that shiny diamante microphone stand and wondered how in the world did Nick Cannon landed Mariah?

Mariah Carey, Demi Moore, Whitney Houston, Madonna…what do they all have in common? Yes i know they are all celebrities wise guy…apart from that! They’ve made it fashionable to date the younger man. Allow me to present the facts:

Mariah 39 and Nick Cannon 28

Whitney 46 and Ray J 28 [personally I didn’t think he was that old]

Demi 47 and Ashton 31

Madonna 51 and Jesus 22 [can we pause take a moment at the irony?]

With an 11 year age gap Mariah and Nick are the closest in age. Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking anybody, you take love where you can find it and all that jazz. Plus with what they are feeding these youngsters I don’t blame anybody for falling or almost falling into the trap.

Yes yes there is a story. Ok so last year I’d been scoping this guy in church…nice looking brother…he just comes to church and goes quietly.  So one day we get to talking he invited me for coffee, we’re chatting getting along just fine until I make the mistake and ask him his age. I don’t usually do that but he kept referring to my friend’s younger brother. Now this is another story…this younger brother yea…I thought was my friend’s older brother and he’s really nice looking. He is the kind of nice looking that has all your friends oohing and aahing. Therefore imagine my shock and dismay when my friend tells me the boy just turned 20! My God lives! Somebody could have been going to jail!

So fast forward to my conversation with my new friend; when he kept asking me about my friend’s younger brother, my senses were alert…’’yes why u asking me about him…what have u heard?’’ lol. He replies ‘’Oh we are good friends’’. It was therefore only logical that I ask him his age. Would you like to take a wild guess? Yes? No? If you said 20 then you would have won the GlamTings sweepstakes. I refused to accept his answer so I made him sing ‘all liars shall go to hell fire’, made him pinky swear…alas he wasn’t lying or joking.

How saddening….yes yes i know age is nothing but a number but please its common knowledge that girls mature faster than guys….

That brings me to my point with these celebrities and their toy boys or if you prefer ‘younger men’.  As these women have already reached ‘maturity’ what would their conversations be about? Or is there no talking involved? Plus do they not feel slightly awkward that they could have given birth to their significant others? Furthermore let us consider if the shoe was on the other foot, i.e. an older man marries/dates a girl half his age. Would the girl not be labeled ‘a gold digger’ or ‘a girl with daddy issues’?

While I’m sure that there are advantages to dating someone younger is there not something a bit creepy about Madonna’s almost 30 year age gap? He’s barely come of age…how would the ‘toasting’ have gone down?

Jesus: ‘Oh mehn Madonna I’ve been a fan of yours for ages, my mum has all your records…’like a virgin’ was uhm totally rad’

Madonna: ‘Err thanks?’

Oh to be a fly on the wall of that relationship….on second thought ….maybe not

You know what I dunno…I might think it freaky you might think it the coolest idea since cheesecake…

It’s no secret that magazine cover photos get retouched, but it’s not often you hear about a photographer for calling out a magazine on their clone tool work. Photographer, Anthony Citrano, doesn’t like Demi Moore’s cover of W magazine. According to his Twitter, he seems to think that the magazine got a little over-zealous in the digital dark room and botched a section of the photo featuring Demi’s left hip. Both Moore and the magazine claim that the image is real, with Demi going so far as to post the “unretouched” image on her own Twitter. But, Citrano remains steadfast, saying he’ll offer up $5,000 to charity if they can prove that’s the way it looked out of the camera.
Demi Moore is no stranger to controversial magazine covers. In 1991 she appeared on Vanity Fair’s cover, seven months pregnant and nude. Just one year later, she dropped her clothes again for Vanity Fair, this time covering up with only a layer of body paint applied by Joanne Gair. This latest controversy is just more proof that she has still got it.

De acordo com matéria de Michelle Achkar publicada no portal Terra, mesmo negando em seu Twitter que a imagem foi modificada por meio de programas como o Photoshop, surgiu um novo capítulo da polêmica foto da atriz Demi Moore para a edição de dezembro da revista W:

O dorso usado pode ser o da modelo polonesa Anja Rubik, uma das principais do momento, a terceira no ranking do site Models.com. Apenas o rosto de Demi teria sido usado e aplicado no corpo da modelo em pose registrada durante o desfile da grife francesa Balmain, na última semana de moda de Paris, em outubro.

A polonesa tem 1,79m, enquanto Demi ostenta apenas 1,65m de altura. As medidas de Anja Rubik são 88cm de quadril, 60 cintura e 86 de busto. Segundo sites que informam medidas do corpo de celebridades, a cintura de Demi atualmente estaria medindo 66cm.

Check out what it appears to be 26 year old Anja Rubik’s superimposed body… scratch that – her body was attached to Demi Moores for the sake of a better cover image. You have to wonder, did Demi even wear the same Balmain dress?

 Pero la exagerada perfección mostrada e la portada de diciembre de la revista W, ya la han puesto en duda.  Un artículo publicado en  Jezebel habla sobre el misterio de la cadera izquierda de la imagen de Demi Moore en W, luciendo desproporcional (más estrecho) al muslo.  

“Los fotógrafos Mert Alas y Marcus Piggot no hicieron nada inusual o fuera de lo común en la foto de Demi Moore. Ella es una mujer extraordinariamente hermosa y creemos que nuestra portada refleja eso”, comentan representantes de W a  Jezebel.  Pero, hay que ver en el diccionario de W el significado de inusual o fuera de lo común.

Pero en otros blogs, Oh No They Didn’t y Pop Culture Madness se van más lejos y sugieren que la imagen es la cabeza de Demi Moore en el cuerpo de Anja Rubik en la pasarela de Primavera-Verano 2010  de Balmain.

Tendo como amostra 4,5 mil solteiros inscritos no site, 34% das mulheres com 40 anos e 38% das mulheres com 50 anos namorariam homens mais novos. Em 2005, esse número era de 8%.

Outro dado curioso da pesquisa mostra que as mulheres não procuram apenas relacionamentos casuais com os rapazes mais novos, mas sim relações longas e até casamento.

Esta portada de Demi Moore en W Magazine levantó muchas sospechas la semana pasada porque su cara se ve más tersa que las nalgas de un recién nacido y además, parece que le falta un pedazo de caderas. Al principio se dijo que había sido sometida a un tratamiento con el reconocido Doctor Photoshop, pero parece ser que esta vez el retoque fue demasiado lejos, porque ni siquiera se trata de Demi en la portada, en realidad el cuerpo lo tomaron prestado de una modelo llamada Anja Rubik. Esto resulta más que obvio si vemos una comparación de las imágenes, la cual dejo a continuación:

Algo me dice que la próxima en hacer uso de este sucio truco será Mariah Carey quien exigirá que todas en todas sus sesiones su cuerpo sea cambiado por el de Jessica Alba.

PD: Espero que alguien se compadezca y obligue a esa modelo a tragarse una hamburguesa con queso.

The LA-based photographer behind Hollywood actress Demi Moore’s ‘airbrushed’ pictures has offered up 5000 dollars to charity if she proves that the pictures are original.

The ‘Ghost’ star recently to took to her Twitter page and slammed reports that her pic on the cover of the December issue of W has been digitally manipulated,

The bloggers had tagged the image as “worst photoshop job ever,” and claimed that a portion of her left thigh was shaved off.

Photographer Anthony Citrano is adamant that her picture has been retouched.

“I feel bad that Demi is on defence – she should not have to defend other people’’s mistakes; W Magazine should be addressing this rather than her,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Citrano as telling the Confidential.

“Having said that, she did raise the stakes considerably yesterday by posting what she claims is the original unretouched shot, along with the accusation that ”these people” (presumably me) are ”bullsh**ting”.

“Well, whether or not her hip was botched, I do not believe for a moment that the image Demi posted yesterday is the original shot.

“If she’’s aware of that – and I expect she is – it’’s irresponsible (and silly) of her to make that assertion. So, I”ll see her move and raise her 5,000 dollars: if the shot she posted yesterday is really the unretouched original, I will donate 5,000 dollars to a charity of her choosing.

“Let’’s see who’’s ”bulls**tting”, shall we?” he added.

Sabemos que demi moore es una mami(MILF) pero no es perfecta y nesecita su retoque, pero estos weyes de la revista W se pasaron de lansa y tan photoshopeada esta que hasta su cadera izq. la q ves a tu derecha desaparecio, se pasan de ver….as. ya estara  tan rukis que si necesitara tanto retoque?

Se as fotos da atriz Demi Moore na capa da edição de dezembro da revista W ficaram boas é discutível. O indiscutível é que, mesmo tendo apelado pra plásticas no rosto, é admirável uma mulher de 47 anos ter esse corpinho, certo?

Mas tudo indica que as fotos foram vítimas do uso excessivo de photoshop. Começaram a dizer que a parte da faixa drapeada sobre a coxa da atriz está consideravelmente mais grossa que a parte acima. Mas eis que a atriz decidiu se pronunciar e escolheu o Twitter: “Meus quadris não foram retocados, não deixem essas pessoas enganarem vocês”. Então veio o fotógrafo Anthony Citrano, que supostamente lançou o boato, e respondeu que pagaria US$ 5.000 a uma instituição de caridade de sua escolha, se ela tiver como provar que a foto da capa é original, sem retoques. Demi Moore ainda não se pronunciou a respeito da aposta.
