Sejumlah spanduk dan poster bernada kecaman “Usut Korupsi Wali Kota Sibolga”, “Pemko Sibolga Bukan Pemerintahan Kerajaan Sahat Panggabean”, “Mutasi Camat dan Lurah Sarat Muatan Politis Demi Kepentingan Pilkada 2010″ digelar Ratusan massa Formasi, di depan Kantor DPRD dan Kejari Sibolga, Senin (23/1).

Aksi demo besar-besaran dan memiliki izin dari Polresta Sibolga ini terkait mutasi pejabat Eselon III dan IV di lingkungan Pemko Sibolga yang dilaksanakan tanggal 7 November 2009 lalu.

Kordinator Aksi, Putra Hutagalung dalam orasinya menuding keputusan Walikota Sibolga Nomor 824/273/2009 tertanggal 16 November 2009 tidak memiliki dasar dan urgensitas yang bisa dijadikan alasan pembenaran terhadap pengangkatan dan perberhentian PNS dalam jabatan struktural di lingkungan Pemko Sibolga.

Penetapan pelantikan 3 Camat dan 7 Lurah kata dia, secara nyata melanggar dan mengabaikan berbagai aturan hukum administrasi dan legislasi daerah. Sehingga memicu faktor ketidakpuasan sebagian aparatur dan secara sah sudah melanggar ketentuan Pasal 10 PP Nomor 100 Tahun 2000.

“Sebagai wakil rakyat, kami minta DPRD segera memanggil Walikota Sibolga Sahat Panggabean karena sudah melanggar undang-undang, menciderai perasaan sekaligus menzolimi yang tidak mau diarahkan untu berpihak kepada salah seorang calon Walikota dan Wakil Walikota Sibolga pada Pilkada 2010 nanti,” tegasnya.

Pantauan wartawan di lokasi demo di depan Gedung DPRD Kota Sibolga, saat salah seorang orator aksi Faisal Hutabarat membacakan pernyataan sikap menyebut Walikota Sibolga Sahat Panggabean sudah tidak mampu berpikir secara rasional akibat “diserang” stroke, tiba-tiba Wakil Ketua DPRD Kota Sibolga Tonny Agustinus Lumbantobing SE didampingi anggota dewan lainnya Binner Siahaan menemui para pengunjuk rasa seraya mengatakan semua aspirasi dan tuntutan dari Formasi akan ditampung untuk kemudian akan dipelajari secara seksama.

Tonny diksempatan itu juga menyatakan ketidak setujuannya bilamana Walikota Sibolga Sahat Panggabean ingin membangun “kerajaan” sesuai orasi pengunjuk rasa. “Sebagai anggota DPRD yang dipilih rakyat pada pemilu kemarin, bila benar akan muncul kerajaan di Kota Sibolga tentu hal ini harus ditentang. Mari kita saling bergandengan tangan untuk melakukan perlawanan,” tandasnya seraya mengatakan “lanjutkan” dan mengimbau agar pengunjuk rasa tidak melakukan anarkis bila ingin melanjutkan aksi demo ke Kantor Kejaksaan Negeri Sibolga.

Tututan yang sama juga disampaikan ratusan massa Formasi di Kantor Kejari dan Kantor Walikota di Jalan Sutomo, Kota Sibolga. Di Kantor Kejari, massa pengunjuk rasa melalui orator aksi, Faisal Hutabarat diterima Kasi Pidum seraya meminta pihak penegak hukum unuk mengusut tuntas kasus korupsi di Pemko Sibolga.

“Kami siap memberikan bukti-bukti secara tertulis tentang korupsi di Pemko Sibolga,” ujarnya. Begitu halnya di Kantor Walikota Sibolga, perwakilan pengunjuk rasa, Faisal Hutabarat yang diterima Asisiten I Bidang Pemerintahan Pemko Sibolga Drs Sugeng mengatakan Pemko Sibolga diminta tidak menjadikan PNS sebagai alat pemenangan Balon Walikota dan Wakil Walikota mendatang. Juga kepada Dinas Perhubungan dan Pariwisata agar segera menurunkan baliho salah satu kandidat yang tidak membayar retribusi pajak periklanan.

“Kita akan sampaikan aspirasi bapak-bapak kepada Walikota Sibolga Sahat Panggabean,” terangnya. [sgl]

Bayonetta-demo nästa vecka

Sega har utannonserat att de kommer att släppa ett demo av det actionfyllda Bayonetta nästa vecka, närmre bestämt den 3 december, till både Playstation 3 och Xbox 360 över respektive online-tjänst.

Vi får alltså ikläda oss rollen som den beväpnade häxan Bayonetta, och enligt Hideki Kamiya kommer vi att bli bjudna på en ”sadistiskt svår” spelupplevelse.

Xbox 360-versionen fick full pott av Famitsu när fyra recensenter delade med sig av sina åsikter, medan Playstation 3-ditot fick nöja sig med 38/40, samtidigt som speltidningen Edge också gav actionäventyret högsta möjliga betyg (oklart vilken version de skrev om.)

Bayonetta lanseras den 8 januari här i Europa.

Gave the LittleBigPlanet PSP demo a try yesterday (Nov 22, 2009).  The demo is short.  You get to play one full level and one mini game level.  The game feels like the PS3 version.  There are some changes, well it is a PSP game after all.  It seems to work well on the PSP.  Not too sure how easy it will be to make your own level since you don’t get that option in the demo.

I’ve been giving quite a lot of technical demos lately, so I put together this quick list of what I’ve learned. Some of it came from working with people who have a heck of a lot more experience than I do in demoing to potential clients. And some of it came by “learning the hard way.” Coming from a programming background, live sales demonstrations to groups of people may not come naturally. But with a little bit of preparation and experience, they provide a great opportunity to learn about what needs are really driving clients, and how your solution can (or will!) meet those needs.

-          Have a script. Prepare for and practice the best way and best order to access the features you’re going to be showing.

-          Know your product. You have to be willing to jump off that script to answer questions as they come up, so you have to know the product inside and out. Don’t get too far off script though – be sure to come back to what you planned after answering a question.

-          Understand your audience. Some audiences are technical and want to be focused on specific capabilities. Some audiences are more “idea-people”, and they want to be focused on possibilities. They don’t know specifically what questions they want answered yet . Some audiences are more focused on making sure that your team has the technical capability to build a large, capable system more than the features of any existing system. Knowing what your audience is hoping to get out of a demo will help you decide what to focus on.

-          Provide a context. Showing off features and functions doesn’t mean anything unless the audience can visualize how those features would be useful in a specific setting. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the specific context that the client plans to use the product in, but they should be able to see how your product was utilized to solve a specific need. Then, talk with them to help map the solution’s capabilities to their specific needs.

-          Listen. Don’t dominate the discussion. Don’t try to have a slick, completely pre-built speech. Clients don’t want to be “presented to”, they want to have a conversation.

Dienstag, den 17.11.09.Es ist 11.30 Uhr. Etwa 1.500 Schüler und Schülerinnen haben sich am Willy Brandt Platz versammelt um für ein besseres Bildungssystem zu demonstrieren. Einige tragen Banner, andere rufen Parolen. Eine normale Demonstration im Rahmen des alljährlichen Bildungsstreiks, den alle Tageszeitungen und Medienanstalten der Umgebung für sich nutzen werden. Schon am nächsten Tag wird man in sämtlichen Lokalteilen der Zeitungen in Niederberg die Gesichter der Demonstranten gepaart mit stupiden, beschreibenden Überschriften („2000 Jugendliche auf der Straße“ / WAZ am 18.11) erkennen können. Die wenigsten Artikel werden über das Genre „Erlebnisbericht“ hinausragen. Andere sind eigens dafür verfasst, den Nerv der Zielgruppe zu treffen und befassen sich weniger mit den wahren Begebenheiten als mit der Aufrecherhaltung eines Weltbildes, das den Ansprüchen einer modernen Gesellschaft in keiner Weise gerecht wird. Hier ist von biertrinkenden Schülern die Rede, dort reduziert man die Mobilmachung von rund 1.500 Jugendlichen, die ihrem Unmut über das momentane Bildungssystem Ausdruck verleihen, auf die dabei entstandenen Reinigungskosten. Doch hinter einer derartigen Veranstaltung steckt mehr als zwei Stunden weniger Unterricht für die Beteiligten.

Doch von Anfang an:

Wir schreiben Mittwoch, den 04.11.09. Es ist 16.00 Uhr. Im Jugendraum an der Schlossstraße 2 trudeln die ersten Beteiligten ein. Das 25-köpfige Bildungsstreikkomitee der Velberter Jugendinitiative (JiV), steckt mitten in den Vorbereitungen für die Velberter Ausgabe des diesjährigen Bildungsstreiks. Während Flyer der Demo schon seit Wochen kursieren und Aufkleber das Stadtbild prägen, werden rechtliche Angelegenheiten geklärt und Formulierungen getroffen, die jedem Schüler und jeder Schülerin das Teilnehmen an der Demonstration während der Schulzeit, und somit das Verletzen der Schulpflicht, legitimieren sollen. Dabei geht es mehr um Balsam für das Gewissen als um rechtliche Grundlagen. Balsam für das Gewissen einer unrebellischen, meist gymnasialen Schülerschaft, die ihrer Frustration lieber Einhalt gebietet, als ihr ungebändigt, gar gesellschaftskonträr, Ausdruck zu verleihen. Doch dieses Verhalten ist nicht unbegründet. In einer Gesellschaft, die zunehmend hierarchisch aufgebaut ist, und in der Mitbestimmungsrecht zur realitätsfremden Formalität wird, vergessen viele, dass ein gewisser Grad an Mitgestaltung von Nöten ist um ein demokratisches System aufrecht zu erhalten.

So bekommt man stellenweise sogar den Eindruck, die so oft geforderte politische Jugend sei der Obrigkeit, jetzt wo sie da ist, zu politisch.

So zählt die Schulleitung eines Velberter Gymnasiums die Politisierung der Jugend anscheinend nicht zu ihren Aufgabenbereichen und tritt dieser sogar repressiv entgegen. Jeder Schüler des NEGs, der am 17.11 um 11.30 Uhr für ein besseres Bildungssystem demonstrieren wird, tut dies gegen heftigen Widerstand der Schulleitung und von Teilen der Lehrerschaft. Hier geht es nicht um zwei Stunden weniger Unterricht, sondern um den Einsatz für ein besseres Bildungssystem unter Inkaufnahme potentiell weitreichender Konsequenzen. Doch wo Regeln in großem Stil überschritten werden, muss man dies zur Not auch im Kleinen tun.

Wo Bildung nicht mehr frei ist, wird das Prüfen rechtlicher Grundlagen eines Schulstreiks seitens der Schulleitung zur Lächerlichkeit.

Den Studenten und Schülern geht es dabei wie dem Frosch im Kochtopf, der erst aus dem kochenden Wasser springt wenn es schon fast zu spät ist.

Mit den Studiengebühren wurden finanzielle Mittel, die bisher das Land zu tragen hatte, auf den einzelnen Stundenten umgeleitet und diesem als Sanierungszuschuss für die Hochschulen verkauft. Das Bologna-System machte die europäische Hochschule zu einer transparenten Lernfabrik, in der über steigenden Leistungsdruck und zu kurze Studienzeiten geklagt wird. Ähnlich verhält es sich mit dem Turbo-Abi. Doch es liegt an uns, aus dem Wasser zu springen, bevor wir uns an die Hitze gewöhnen. Bildung, die Geld kostet, und somit die Schere zwischen der sozialen Unter- und Oberschicht vergrößert, würde über die Jahrzehnte zur Normalität werden (wie in den 70er Jahren der NC) und wäre für nächste Generationen unanfechtbar. Unsere Enkelkinder sollen uns schließlich nicht mit großen Augen anschauen, wenn wir ihnen von einer kostenlosen Grundschule erzählen, die es zu unserer Zeit noch gab.

EDIT: Rather than adding a new entry and burying the previous one, I figured I’d just edit the existing one. The video above is an idea, a sketch if you will, and may very well be incorporated on a split or on a brand new record (which I think may have a very, very, very tentative title) and I don’t want it to go unnoticed. You could call it a skeleton, also, if you’d like. Or, maybe more accurately, a bone. Many bones make a skeleton, I’d call that one bone. A femur, maybe. Or, a tibia. Mostly, I wanted to make note of this:

Our last four days were spent in the company of some of the finest people we’ve had the privilege of meeting. Normally, when speaking of people that I admire, and love,  and that inspire me, who happen to make music, I note their exceptional presence musically first, and move to their exceptional presence as humans second. I’m reversing that now, like this: our friends in Touche Amore are, first, absolutely incredible and inspiring people, and second, quite possibly the best band in the country right now. If you haven’t done so yet, acquaint yourself with what they’re doing, it is important. Split 7″ with them coming sometime, in some capacity. We will keep you posted. Make note of everyone you’ve met that has inspired you in some way, and keep it close. Keep a list even: Mine looks like this right now: Touche Amore, Native, Jesse, Ben, My bandmates, Alex, Mountain Asleep (overdue), Thursday, Comadre, Dangers, Propagandhi, John Darnielle, John K. If you’re in Grand Rapids and not doing anything tomorrow night, Rotten Wood Moon and Spit for Athena are playing at the DAAC. Rotten Wood Moon pulled a serious solid for us this weekend, and Spit for Athena has been an important part of this city for sometime, missing the show wouldbe slightly absurd, if you ask me. Then, on Friday, our friends from Chicago called Cloud Mouth are playing the DAAC. Come out. Then, to cap off a busy week, Michigan Fest is happening this Saturday at the Wesley Foundation in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Tons of great punk and hardcore, a vegan potluck, and serious hanging. Flyer:

Ich habe mir jetzt das neue Google Chrome OS einmal genauer angesehen und ein kleines Video (ohne Ton) erstellt.

Mein erster Eindruck
Natürlich ist es noch kein fertiges Betriebssystem in dem alles absolut problemlos funktioniert. Allerdings läuft es schon sehr schnell und lässt erahnen, welches Potential in ihm steckt. Das wird sicher interessant!
