Did Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats steal the NY congressional seat?

Barack Obama gained the Democratic nomination with voter fraud and strong arm tactics during the primaries and caucuses along with Nancy Pelosi’s help during the convention. Obama has strong longtime ties to ACORN, masters of corruption and voter fraud. With the focus on voter fraud in 2008 that continues on into 2009, Nancy Pelosi and her corrupt cronies have achieved another level of corruption and voter fraud.
Nancy Pelosi ramroded through an unpopular, socialist Health Care Bill last weekend by a margin of 2 votes. Bill Owens apparent victory made a difference in the vote. Did Owens win the NY-23 election?

John Charlton of The Post & Email just brought a breaking story to our attention.

“It looks increasingly that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in her zeal to get the Health Care Federalization Bill passed, may have sworn in an unelected candidate for the NY-23 Congressional District, in violation of the U.S. Constitution and New York State laws.

As a matter of fact, the Secretary of State of New York has not certified the election, in which Dough Hoffman and Bill Owens vied in a special election, nearly head to head, after Scozzafava retired in humiliation, having lost the support of conservatives in her district.”
“It turns out that Pelosi’s swearing-in of Owens had the political effect of garnering the addition Republican vote, of Cao, in the vote for the Health Care Bill, which passed narrowly, 220-215. The election fraud therefore puts in doubt the legitimacy of that vote also.”

From the Syracuse Post Standard, November 12, 2009.

“Recanvassing shows NY-23 race tightens even as Rep. Bill Owens is sworn into House seat”

“Conservative Doug Hoffman conceded the race in the 23rd Congressional District last week after receiving two pieces of grim news for his campaign: He was down 5,335 votes with 93 percent of the vote counted on election night, and he had barely won his stronghold in Oswego County.

As it turns out, neither was true.

But Hoffman’s concession — based on snafus in Oswego County and elsewhere that left his vote undercounted — set off a chain of events that echoed all the way to Washington, D.C., and helped secure passage of a historic health care reform bill.

Democratic Rep. Bill Owens was quickly sworn into office on Friday, a day before the rare weekend vote in the House of Representatives. His support sealed his party’s narrow victory on the health care legislation.

Now a recanvassing in the 11-county district shows that Owens’ lead has narrowed to 3,026 votes over Hoffman, 66,698 to 63,672, according to the latest unofficial results from the state Board of Elections.

In Oswego County, where Hoffman was reported to lead by only 500 votes with 93 percent of the vote counted election night, inspectors found Hoffman actually won by 1,748 votes — 12,748 to 11,000.

The new vote totals mean the race will be decided by absentee ballots, of which about 10,200 were distributed, said John Conklin, communications director for the state Board of Elections.

Under a new law in New York that extended deadlines, military and overseas ballots received by this coming Monday (and postmarked by Nov. 2) will be counted. Standard absentee ballots had to be returned this past Monday.

Conklin said the state sent a letter to the House Clerk last week explaining that no winner had been determined in the 23rd District, and therefore the state had not certified the election. But the letter noted that Owens still led by about 3,000 votes, and that the special election was not contested — two factors that legally allowed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to swear in Owens on Friday.

“We sent a letter to the clerk laying out the totals,” Conklin said. “The key is that Hoffman conceded, which means the race is not contested. However, all ballots will be counted, and if the result changes, Owens will have to be removed.”

Before Owens was sworn in Friday, Rep. John Garamendi, a Democrat who won a special election in California, was sworn in Thursday. The two gave Pelosi the votes she needed to reach a majority of 218 and pass the historic health care reform legislation in the House.”

“Ryan said an important factor in the decision to concede was the unexpected — and erroneous — close vote in Oswego County, where polls had Hoffman with a double digit percentage point lead heading into Election Day.

“That’s the thing that threw us off,” Ryan said.

Oswego County elections officials blame the mistakes on “chaos” in their call-in center that included a phone system foul-up and inspectors who read numbers incorrectly when phoning in results. Of 245 races in the county — not including the congressional and court races — 84 had incorrect totals reported election night.

In the congressional race, more votes were cast in Oswego County than any other in the 11-county district.”

“Jerry Eaton, the Republican elections commissioner for Jefferson County, said inspectors found a problem in four districts where Hoffman’s vote total was mistakenly entered as zero.

“Hoffman definitely gained votes where he didn’t have them,” Eaton said.”

“Ryan said the absentee ballots are likely to favor Hoffman because most were likely mailed before Republican Dede Scozzafava suspended her campaign three days before the election.

“For Doug to win, we needed a three-way race,” Ryan said, adding that the campaign’s internal polls showed Hoffman would win with all three candidates.

“Given the majority of these ballots are from a three-way race, we think the ballots are going to break Doug’s way,” Ryan said.”

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were all smiles back in 2008 and why not. They were ramroding through an illegal presidential candidate with the help of ACORN and other radicals from this country and abroad. However, anyone observing the two unbalanced, far left liberal members of Congress lately, from the pallor of their countenance, would think the two had contracted cancer. Me thinks they have seen the spectre of accountability.

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi ignored the US Constitution, confident that their deeds would be covered up or spun by the main stream media or squashed by a cadre of Obama internet thugs. They forgot that everyone cannot be bought and that most Americans still care about this country.

Let’s focus on Harry Reid. His popularity has been plummeting from his involvement in the tax and spend binge of the Democrats. The Tea Party Express made two stops in Nevada. Yesterday we reported:
“Despite all this evidence and a request in writing by 28 GOP senators — and despite the fact the U.S. Senate voted 83-7 on Sept. 14 to block ACORN from bidding for any more federal grant money — “Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is refusing to hold a Senate hearing on ACORN’s activities,” the National Republican Senatorial Committee complained Wednesday.

Mr. Reid replied additional investigations might distract lawmakers from addressing more important matters, including health care and economic recovery.”

Harry Reid protects ACORN

“All day long people gave each other the thumbs up. We The People are UNITED IN OUR MARCH TO WAKE UP THE GOVERNMENT.
We just want to be heard. Our Freedoms are being tread on. OUR FLAGS SAY: Don’t Tread On Me. We will not be UNHEARD.”
“The Las Vegas Review-Journal quoted that the count was 800-900. I truly feel is was much larger than that. The parking lot was filled at all times….. people would be waiting for a parking spot. People arriving faster than leaving.
I don’t think I would be exaggerating to say it was closer to 1500+. I am sending a few articles from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. They have some interesting articles about dirty harry. He is not very popular at this time.”

Harry Reid, things are looking bad for you. A “Un-Elect Harry Reid Rally” was held in Searchlight, NV on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Here is the announcement from the Mojave Daily News.
“An “Un-Elect Harry Reid Rally” will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of the Searchlight, Nev. Community Center.

Reid, 69, serves as majority leader of the Democratic Party-controlled U.S. Senate. He was first elected senator in 1986 and is up for re-election next year.
The rally is being held in Searchlight because Reid was born and raised there. He maintains a legal residence in the historic mining town on U.S. Route 95, located roughly halfway between Laughlin and Las Vegas.

The event is organized by the Lake Havasu City-based Committee on Taxation Without Representation, chaired by attorney and former mayor Harvey Jackson.

“We’ve got a couple of senators in the state of Arizona that represent us pretty well,” said organization secretary Dennis Schilling. He explained why his Arizona-based group is opposing Reid and House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who were elected outside of Arizona.

“What they do is they control those agendas and those committees … and they directly affect and cross state lines each and every day relative to their decision making,” Schilling said.”

Coverage of the event by Mojave Daily News:
“Revved up against Reid
Group voices displeasure with Nevada Senator”
““There are candidates among us who will rise like a phoenix from the ashes you’ve made of our Constitution.”

“The government is our servant, not our master,” said another guest speaker, identified as Don the Electrician. “Our constitution starts with the words ‘We the People.’ Well, we are the people. The Constitution was designed to protect us from our government and especially our politicians.”

A sampling of attendees found people angry and determined to make changes in Washington.

“They’re corrupting this nation,” said Jim Durham of Lake Havasu City. “I mean, they’re taking away our rights. I don’t want to have to learn to say, ‘How are you, comrade?’ ”

“Anybody who would pass a trillion-dollar bill without even reading it, must be pretty stupid,” said Steve Buckalew of Lake Havasu City. “Our rights are being taken away.”

“He (Reid) and Pelosi have totally destroyed this country,” said Elouise Joyner of Bullhead City. “I have no idea what their agenda is, but it’s not an American agenda,” she said. “There’s nobody that wants this stupid health care bill, yet he’s going to push it.”

“I don’t think he should be returned (to office) because I don’t believe in his philosophy,” said Jeannie Norris of Mesquite, Nev. “I don’t want more taxes.”

“He hasn’t done anything for Nevada,” said Norris’ husband, Jim, “and he just doesn’t represent me and he doesn’t believe in what I believe in.””

So why would Harry Reid want to protect ACORN aside from the fact that they helped elect Obama?

Here are just a few examples from Reid’s state of Nevada that might be more than a little embarassing.

From the Nevada Department of Corrections, October 10, 2008:

“A total of 59 inmates were hired by ACORN. One was terminated for failing to meet quotas. None for registration fraud.”

“Ex-ACORN Vegas director to testify against group”

“LAS VEGAS — A former Las Vegas director for a political advocacy group accused of illegally paying canvassers to register voters during last year’s presidential campaign has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge and agreed to testify against the group and another employee.

Christopher Edwards pleaded guilty this week to two gross misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit the crime of compensation for registration of voters. He agreed to testify against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN, and Amy Busefink, a former regional voter registration director.

The case threatens the group’s ability to operate in Nevada, with the possibility that the group could have its status as a nonprofit corporation revoked, said Conrad Hafen, chief deputy attorney general for Nevada.

Hafen’s said Edwards’ testimony strengthens the state’s case against ACORN and Busefink.

“It adds to the evidence that we already have,” Hafen said Wednesday. “It makes a strong case that much stronger.”

Busefink’s lawyer, Kevin Stolworthy, said she plans to fight the charges. A lawyer for ACORN did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment from The Associated Press.

Prosecutors said in court documents that Edwards, Busefink and ACORN created a bonus incentive program that paid canvassers an extra $5 per shift if they turned in at least 21 voter registration cards at the end of the day.

Prosecutors said violates state laws that prevent a system that pays workers based on the number of registrations they turn in.

Stolworthy said Busefink, now living in Seminole, Fla., told Edwards not to use the so-called “blackjack” plan but he did anyway.

“When she found out about it she told him to stop,” Stolworthy said. “This guy was the instigator of this and the person who dreamed it up and they’re giving him a break to go after others who told him not to do it.”

Edwards is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 17. Under the plea deal, prosecutors are recommending that he receive informal probation, pay a $500 fine and perform 16 hours of community service.

The case is the result of an investigation that began last year into the group that works to get low-income people to vote.

In October, the secretary of state’s office raided an ACORN office in Las Vegas after complaints surfaced that the group was turning in bogus voter registration forms. Secretary of State Ross Miller said at the time that some of the registrations included forms for football stars Tony Romo, Terrell Owens and the Dallas Cowboys starting lineup.

ACORN officials at the time said they separated and identified registrations that they thought were fraudulent when they turned them into the Clark County registrar. The group said the law prevented them from withholding registrations they thought were fake.”

“I am increasingly concerned by reports of widespread election fraud by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (“ACORN”), which seem to emerge on a daily basis.

“ACORN Vegas Office Raided in Voter Fraud Investigation
ACORN’s Las Vegas headquarters has been raided by Nevada authorities looking for evidence of voter fraud.”

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote.

“Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications,” Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev.

Secretary of State Ross Miller said the fraudulent registrations included forms for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys football team.

“Tony Romo is not registered to vote in the state of Nevada, and anybody trying to pose as Terrell Owens won’t be able to cast a ballot on Nov. 4,” Miller said.

Walsh said agents from both the secretary of state’s office and Nevada attorney general’s office conducted the raid at 9:30 a.m. local time, and “took a bunch of stuff.”

“The ACORN/Obama Voter Registration “Thug Thizzle”"

“Systemic corruption of our election process continues. Barack Obama and his old friends at ACORN and Project Vote are leading the way. This radical revolution is taking place in your backyard. And as I’ve reported before, this voter-fraud racket is on your dime.”

“On Tuesday, Nevada state officials raided ACORN’s Las Vegas office after election authorities accused the group of submitting multiple voter registrations with fake and duplicate names.

ACORN, which receives 40 percent of its revenues from American taxpayers to pursue an aggressive welfare-state agenda, has already helped register over 1.27 million people nationwide. The rest of their funding comes from left-wing heavyweights like billionaire George Soros and the Democracy Alliance.”

And speaking of scoundrels, did you know that Obama won NC by a mere 14,177 votes out of 4,310,789 votes cast. In the light of confirmed ACORN voter fraud in NC and the fact that Citizen Wells and other concerned citizens contacted NC election officials before and after the election to warn of Obama eligibility issues and ACORN voter fraud, somebodies’ got some “splaining to do.”

I first began hearing about ACORN in early 2008. I first began writing about ACORN in August of 2008 when I discovered they were involved in corruption and voter fraud. Then I read some of the analysis of Dr. Lynette Long, who took data from the primaries and caucuses as well as witness stories of ACORN and Obama thugs controlling these processes. I soon discovered that a documentary was being produced of voter fraud. I went to the website and from time to time checked on their progress. Early in 2009, a mutual friend of the producer, Bettina Viviano, introduced me to her and I had several conversations with Bettina about the documentary and the sad state of political affairs in this country.

I spoke to Bettina last night about the status of the documentary. It was on track to be completed next year, but she was receiving a lot of interest due to the recent events exposing ACORN corruption to a wider audience. They may be able to complete the documentary sooner. She also admitted that when she first began investigating voter fraud, she was not aware that ACORN was behind much of it. We also discussed our other projects. It is good to know there are level headed, real Americans in HOllywood.

Here is a short bio from the website:

“Bettina Sofia Viviano
Producer/Literary Manager

Bettina Viviano has had a successful career in entertainment as a producer and literary manager for twenty-five years. She began her career at the prestigious William Morris as an agent trainee, before moving on to Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, where she attained the position of Vice President of Production. At Amblin, Bettina worked on such movies as Back to the Future 2 and 3, Cape Fear, Land Before Time, Schindler’s List, Always, Roger Rabbit, Indiana Jones 3, etc.

After leaving Amblin, Bettina became a literary agent at BBMW, representing writers and directors. In 1990 she began her own production and management company, Viviano Entertainment, Inc. and since has sold pitches, scripts books, etc. for millions of dollars on behalf of her clients. As producer, Bettina has made a long list of movies including Three to Tango, Mom’s Got a Date With a Vampire, Family Sins, Strange Hearts, Nightmare Man, Alibi, and Caught in the Act. She currently has many high level studios pictures in development and is producing Freedom House for Reliant Pictures/MGM, starring Terrence Howard, Jack and Jill starring Adam Sandler, and indie film American Crawl to be directed by Bradley Novicoff in the Fall of 2008.”

Dr. Lynette Long short bio

“BIO: Dr. Lynette Long is a licensed psychologist practicing in Bethesda, Maryland. She is the author of twenty books including fourteen math books. Dr. Long has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs and was the host of One on One with Dr. Lynette Long. She recently published Op-Ed’s in both USA Today and the Baltimore Sun about the current election cycle. Her blog is LynetteLong.com.”

Reported on August 25, 2008 here:

“FROM THE TEXAS CONVENTION They shoved Obama signs in Clinton delegates’ faces, three inches from the nose, called them racists, and told my friend that she had to move from her third-row seat in one meeting and go sit in the back. She also said that the proceedings were heavily laced with black power speeches by preachers as well as public officials.” Here are some exerpts from the analysis of data by Dr. Lynette Long:

“by Lynette Long

On March 4, 2008, Texas held its Democratic Primary, affectionately called the Texas-Two Step. Polls were open from 7 am to 7 pm and then after the polls closed, persons who voted in primary could participate in a caucus. According to CNN a total of 2,867,454 votes were cast in the Democratic Primary with 1,458,814 (51%) votes cast for Senator Hillary Clinton and 1,358,785 (47%) votes cast for Senator Barack Obama, and a smattering of votes (49,855) for John Edwards, Bill Richardson, Joe Biden, and Chris Dodd combined. A total of 8,247 precinct conventions, commonly called caucuses, took place throughout the 254 counties in Texas, most of which were held at each precinct’s Primary polling place. If 100 people attended each of these “caucuses” than at least 800,000 people attended caucuses. The Dallas Morning News reported a projected turnout of 1.1 million. Overwhelmed by the participation, Texas stopped counting the results at only 41% of precincts counted. As a result of the Texas caucus, Obama was awarded 56% of precinct delegates and Clinton was awarded 44% of the precinct delegates. Since people who voted in the caucuses were required to have voted in their precinct, the voters in the caucus were statistically a subset of the voters in primary, but the results were statistically different. A more sophisticated analysis is required.”

“Concerns about high voter turnout and the inability of the precincts to adequately handle the number of participants and monitor the election process are rampant. On the night of the caucus itself, the Clinton Campaign brought many instances of these irregularities to the attention of the State Party. The
campaign received in excess of 2,000 complaints of rules violations, indicating widespread violations of the Party’s rules, including the following specific occurrences that are clear violations of specific
rules:

Voter Fraud – Temporary Chair packets were released by the election judge prior to 7:00 pm. Sign-in sheets were filled out before 7:00 pm by voters participating in the primary who did not participate in the caucus.

Voter Fraud - Inaccurate written records of participants’ presidential preferences.

Voter Fraud – Precincts were consolidated for purposes of holding a convention.

Voter Disenfranchisement – Precinct caucuses began before polls closed for the primary.

Voter Fraud – Ineligible participants voted or ineligible delegates were elected, including participants who were not registered voters, participants who did not vote in the primary, and provisional voters whose votes were counted; and no verification was made of the eligibility of participants or delegates.

Voter Fraud – Participants’ names and presidential preference were entered on sign-in sheets by someone other than the eligible individual participants.

Voter Fraud – Results were taken from a head count or hand count rather than the written roll.

Due Process – Delegate votes were not ratified by the precinct convention.

Due Process – Failure to follow Robert’s Rules of Order at the precinct convention.”

What you have just viewed is the tip of the iceberg.
Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen of the US. Obama signed a statement in Arizona attesting that he was qualified and a natural born citizen. Nancy Pelosi’s signature is on many documents implying that Obama was a qualified candidate. There is now controversy regarding two different documents in New Hampsire with Nancy Pelosi’s signature.

Barack Obama stole the Democratic caucuses, primaries and nomination and then went on to steal the POTUS. ACORN has worked beside him before and every step along the election process.
When you contact Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and others, remind them that a Hollywood producer began investigating and filming about voter fraud and ACORN in 2008.

And, oh, by the way, what has Patrick Fitzgerald been doing?

A few weeks ago I started reading the whole work of Hunter S. Thompson and I love it. The more I read, the more I found his notes to the congress of the democratic party 1968 in Chicago. I heard about the riots before, but never saw pictures of it.
President Barack Obama continued his nationwide health care reform tour today by paying a visit to the University of Maryland. As during then Senator Obama’s campaign, many in attendance arrived at the crack of dawn to hear the President’s speech. Students from the University of Maryland and other universities expressed an overwhelming amount of support for President Obama which was evidenced by the mass wave of supporters who gave a standing ovation before the President had even arrived to make his speech. Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley described Obama’s health care reform speech as historic and the students in attendance showed a tremendous amount of support for Obama’s clarification of his position.

President Obama spoke to those in attendance in an effort to clarify how his proposed policies would have an effect on young adults. During his speech, he said, “More than one-third of all young adults have trouble paying their medical debts. In the United States, nobody should go broke because they get sick. The time has finally come to provide affordable, accessible, quality healthcare to every single American.”

Obama touched on familiar themes in this address, including a call for the public option, or a government-run health insurance plan. The public option has been the most contentious point of the health care debate and it would force private insurers to lower costs and be more competitive while Republicans blast it as a government takeover of health care.

The president also pointed to the “unprecedented” coalition of doctors, nurses and hospitals that have backed the Democratic health care overhaul.

“It was good to have a campaign-like rally outside of a campaign,” said Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, who attended the event. Ulman said Obama struck a chord that had been echoed during the campaign trail — fixing health care won’t be easy, but it must get done.

I really enjoyed viewing this email that has been sent to many people, including Rush Limbaugh. It is obvious that thousands of people in this country have now realized what the real Barack Obama is all about and they are not happy.

Email:

“I regularly blog on several sites as many of you know…..this comment from Michelle at Citizen Wells website is what I am now seeing on a regular basis…..the DemoCRAPS have lost the support of America when the FRAUD has denied all Americans transparency like he promised…..let’s start with his documents…..why can’t we see where he has been??? NO ONE IS BUYING THE “DEATH CARE PLAN” EITHER!!! Rise up people….let your voice be heard! The kool aid is wearing off folks now that we Patriots are putting a dent in the propaganda that the Lame Stream Media has regularly brainwashed America with!”

Comment by Michelle on August 9, 2009, at 4:19pm:

“Leah-in one short phone call nailed it for all of us.
I’ll bet she is well dressed too…this is going to backfire on the dems so load their ear drums will rupture…
I’m a Democrat and want nothing to do with with this Nazi/Democrat party. All Americans can think for themselves and arrive at their own conclusions, they hate what they see and making their objections known.
When the DNC selected Obama, could they have found a worse candidate if they tried hard. Cook County, mobbed-up corrupt, scum-bag even by Cook County’s lowest of the low standards. The American people want to see all the records for a very good reasons, to check on all the DNC lies and Obama lies. During the campaign he mentioned his drug use-probably to head off questions, I think he did so much he caused himself some major brain damage, hence the total reliance on blackberry and teleprompter, then again he has difficulty remembering his own name. I think the Dems and Obama believed their own lies from the campaign and Obama’s phony popularity, one example out of many the Berlin speech followed a free rock concert, he didn’t attract those crowds. Today’s Rasmussen poll -8 . This guy is not popular at all, it is up to the DNC to correct the damage they have done if that is possible at this late date or go down with him. It would take them a hundred years of perfect behavior for WE THE PEOPLE to have any confidence in them. This is worse by 1,000 times than Watergate. The quicker they resolve it the better off everyone will be. I want all Americans to feel free to express themselves without fear of retaliation.
All the DNC has to say is we screwed up, we did not check his qualifications we simply took him at his word. We will work very hard to correct our error. People won’t be happy but they can get over an error a lot quicker than a treason cover-up scandal.”

President Obama lost something invaluable last week when he weighed in on the arrest of his friend,

President Obama lost something invaluable last week when he weighed in on the arrest of his friend, Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., saying the Cambridge police acted stupidly. He lost the presumption that he is colorblind and embraces all races and both genders equally.

This colorblindness was, perhaps, the fondest hope of the American public when we elected President Obama to our highest office. As the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya we hoped his election marked the ascent of a leader possessed of so much empathy, so much intelligence and such a desire to understand all perspectives and experiences that he could resonate with anyone’s needs and disenfranchise no one.

That hope has withered for many, and it will be difficult to resurrect. The fact that President Obama remained in a church headed by a pastor (Reverend Wright) who denounced white people, together with the fact that the First Lady says she felt no pride in our country until very recently, together with the fact that President Obama nominated a woman to the Supreme Court who slurred white judges as inferior, together with the President’s recent unwarranted slur of a white police sergeant as stupid seems to reveal deep-seated anger in him and constitutes a psychological pattern of insensitivity to the feelings of Caucasians. He is a President who now (and hopefully only temporarily) seems the least colorblind of my lifetime, a terrible irony and tragedy I certainly didn’t imagine transpiring when he announced his candidacy.

The emotions some white people are sharing with me seem to parallel the feelings that African Americans may have struggled with in the past. They tell me that they fear President Obama resents them, but won’t say so plainly, that he considers them “less than” others, maybe even demonic (like Reverend Wright does), but won’t admit it. This gives them, and it gives me, a sliver of insight into how painful it must have been for disenfranchised minorities for decades in this country. But the price of that slim window on the feelings of others has been high, indeed. For the millions of white Americans who now better understand what it feels like to doubt that the President of the United States is their President, too, our heightened empathy comes with deep sadness and not a little anxiety.

President Obama doesn’t seem to understand the full depth of what has transpired. It can’t be glossed over with the words he shared after the Crowley fiasco:

“This has been ratcheting up, and I obviously helped to contribute ratcheting it up. I want to make clear that in my choice of words, I think I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department and Sgt. Crowley specifically. And I could’ve calibrated those words differently.”

He then invited Crowley over to the White House for a beer with Professor Gates.

What we needed, as white Americans, for all Americans, was a moment less about political caution and false camaraderie and more about self-revelation. I kept thinking, as I listened to President Obama, of how short his statement fell from the words of another great African American politician, Jesse Jackson. During the 1984 Presidential campaign, when Jackson sought the Democratic nomination, he referred to New York City as Hymietown, a slur against Jews. I remember him taking the podium at the Democratic Convention and apologizing. It was 25 years ago, and I was just 22-years-old, so forgive me if I have forgotten some of the words. Most of them are seared into my memory—these two-and-a-half decades later:

“If I have offended anyone, or renewed old fears, I am deeply sorry. Charge it to my head and not my heart. I am an imperfect servant. God is not yet finished with me.”

That was plenty good enough for me. I didn’t believe Jackson could fake a statement like that. And I never questioned the man’s heart again.

President Obama, we need that kind of eloquence and honesty right now. We need you to do that kind of soul-searching and let us in on the result.

Early in January of 2008, there were two things that I consistently stated to my friends.

1. I intended to be more involved in this presidential election.

2. I knew little about Barack Obama, a candidate who was increasingly gaining support.

Shortly after stating this, I ran across a link on the internet to someone who purported to have engaged in sex and drug use with Obama in 1999. The allegation appeared to be nonsense, but I wanted to know more about this mysterious candidate, so I followed up on the story. I listened to Larry Sinclair’s Youtube video and was curious. There was something about Sinclair that appeared sincere. I had to know more.

I next found interviews of Obama by Tim Russert, the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times. There was a pattern in all of the interviews. Obama was asked about his records during his tenure in the IL Senate. In all of the interviews Obama gave evasive answers and refused to provide records. Hillary Clinton late in 2007 asked Obama about his senate records. A pattern was emerging.

I then went to the official IL Senate records for November 4-8 and what I saw next caused my jaw to drop. Obama was not present for the opening fall session of the IL Senate on November 4, 1999. I later found out that Obama was present for a speaking engagement on November 8, 1999, the day after Larry Sinclair alleged that they had their last encounter. The IL Senate is located in Springfield, IL, the capital, several hours south of Chicago.

I then knew that something was wrong with Obama and that Larry Sinclair may be telling the truth.

I have looked through the book. As many of you know, I had already read most of the chapters and covered the Larry Sinclair story more than any other source. The book is true to everything that I know and everything that Sinclair has consistently told me. It is extremely important that as many people as possible read the book and tell as many people as possible. Larry Sinclair has fought against insurmountable forces to get this book written and published. The really big part of his story is the great lengths the Obama camp has gone to to silence him. We must not let that happen.

After I had reached the point of no return in spending countless hours to attempt to expose the usurper, Obama, I resolved to do my part to make sure that Sinclair’s story was kept alive. The Obama camp was not only trying to silence Sinclair, but they were attempting to deprive the American public of the truth about Obama, something they had done so well with the MSM.

I will be providing some detailed reviews and corroborating comments over the next several weeks.

Stay tuned.

Last night like many Americans I watch President Obama’s ABC News Health Care Forum, filmed from the

Last night like many Americans I watch President Obama’s ABC News Health Care Forum, filmed from the White House. Among the things that struck me most was how vague and sound-bite oriented the President’s answers were to the panels questions and how the pressures of commercial television force speakers into confining their messages to short concise sound-bites. It seemed like the program was interrupted for commercial breaks at an interval that would have made it impossible for the president to have a more nuanced discussion of his plan. He rarely went into actual numbers and I do not recall him specifying anything about the specific language of his proposed legislation.

The event was clearly a media event and an exercise in public relations for the president. Also, the event was meant to answer some very broad questions the about health care that the general public has. I see this type of thing as being very similar to what happens at National Democratic or Republican conventions. During these events the party introduces the candidate they selected and has a big celebratory party to tell everyone how great he (as of yet we have not had a female nominee from one of the major parties) is. In my opinion that makes these rather dull events. Who enjoys a story with no conflict in it? In the past, National Party Conventions were places of high energy, conflict and debate and candidates would go into specific details about their plans and disagreements. This can no longer be done since the major parties now use their National Conventions to convey messages of unity and rally voters behind the chosen candidates.

I noticed a similar trend when watching debates between candidates in both parties during the 2008 election cycle. They confined their discussion to nothing but talk that was easy to follow for the average uninterested viewer. In the debates it was difficult to find any features that differentiated Hillary Clinton’s health care plan from Barack Obama’s, and the candidates were criticized when the delved too deeply into the finer points of their plans.

All of this leads me to question the state of public discourse in our country. Are our attention spans so short that we cannot handle anything more than short bumper-sticker soundbites and endless sloganeering? Does public opinion really rest more on a figure’s media image and personality than it does on the actual content of their ideas? Is our media actively keeping us politically shallow as it diminishes the role of political discourse to that of filler between commercial messages?

America is lucky enough to have had an electoral government and peaceful transfers of power between leaders continuously for more than two centuries. We live very well compared to people in other parts of the world and our government is very stable, so maybe changes in our government do not raise as much passion as some of the more disruptive political changes that take place around the world, but our politics are important — we are in the middle of two on-going wars and a period of mass economic uncertainty.

Our politics not only play a big role in issues like health care, environmental quality, how we educate our children, and more. This is not to mention that what happens in U.S has a huge influence worldwide, but we are (for now) the global hegemon, and our economy is intricately tied to that of every other nation on Earth. In American politics the future of the world is often literally at stake. So, with that I urge all of our readers to please take a little more interests in what are government is doing. Maybe then the media will follow suite.

Did it really take this long for them to get it?

Hall said he wants to improve the Web sites of the county parties to make it easier for people to join and get involved. Some county parties do not have sites and others are outdated, he said.

Well if they didn’t get it before they certainly will after electing the youngest party chair in the country.

Wisconsin Democrats used their state convention to show off their plans to use new forms of media to reach voters.

Using social media to reach voters is a top priority of Mike Tate, a 30-year-old strategist who was elected party chairman on Saturday.

“That means actively using Facebook, Twitter, making sure we have a YouTube channel we’re posting videos to, and making Democratic figures available for interviews with bloggers,” he said.

Earlier this year, the state party hired UW-Madison student Sam Roecker, 20, as its first “new media intern.” Roecker said he has spent the last three months working on Web ads and improving the party’s presence on Facebook, Twitter and the photo-sharing site Flickr.

Way to get the guy’s hopes up:

Tate said he is considering whether to make Roecker’s position paid.

Pay the man! Hell, maybe he’ll even drop out of college for it, like Tate and practically everybody else at the DPW seemed to do, at least when I interned there. Granted, what’s sad is not dropping out of college to work in politics, but rather going back after working as a politico for years and taking introductory poli sci courses.

The attitude change towards new media, especially blogs and social networks like facebook, is astounding. Rather than dismissing them as gossip centers for pre-teen girls, there are now books galore discussing their importance for business and government, among other things. I remember the rolled eyes I encountered just four years ago when I was doing an internship for Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) the summer before my senior year of high school. It’s not as if I expected the octagenarian senator himself to understand the significance of “blogspot” and “wordpress,” but even the forty-something head of the office seemed to think local papers were the only key to local support.

I f0und, courtesy of Bookslut, this excellent interview with Simon Schama, noted British historian and author of yet another book I need to read and judge very soon – The American Future: A History (and may I be the first to say – eh? regarding that title).

I met Mr Schama while covering the Democratic convention in Denver ay the Verizon center, where Obama gave his formal acceptance speech for the presidential candidacy. It’s not everyday you turn to see who your American friend is blithely chatting away to and promising to take out drinking in New York and suddenly realise ‘blimey, it’s Simon Schama, I own his History of Britain and very wonderful it is indeed’.

He was as charming and erudite in person as he is in his books and documentaries. Sure, he’s a little pretentious and know it all in his assessments, but he is one smart man, and I’ll take his pronouncements on Obama’s over pretty much every other cultural commentator currently blethering about on the blogosphere. Aside from me, I am sharp as a pin and pithy as an orange, of course.

Anyway, I’m chuffed to read it because of this nugget:

“Obama’s notion (or maybe it was David Axelrod’s notion) was that you could on the one hand outflank your opponents on the Web by blogging, summoning what turned out to be millions of kids who canvassed places like Atlanta or Seattle for him; and on the other hand, you could revive the most despised form of political communication, formal rhetoric, using oratory as a campaign tool, something which had just not been heard of since Jack Kennedy, I suppose.”

Which is what he pretty much said to me verbatim when we chatted in the Verizon stadium about Obama’s extraordinarily intuitive, and of course successful, campaign. So I got exclusive insight into one of the most perceptive UK scholar’s minds before pretty much anyone else did. Hurrah for me!

At 8:30 am one could find Jason330 and Delaware Dem sitting on a large leather couch near the registration desk…

Liberal Geek joined them around 8:45 and they proceeded upstairs to a hold a brief meeting with all their assorted groups, posters, fans, anons, and spies… As expected, in customary fashion the meeting was brief.

To borrow an expired analogy from Tommywonk, today was a contest between the inside versus the outside game… McGlinchy owned the entrance with two of his women passing out literature and him occasionally popping out from the bar to meet and greet… They did for most convention goers, what Kryptonite did for Superman.

McGlinchy owned the bar, where breakfast was being served… Daniello’s game, hidden from the entrance, was working the convention floor.

Interestingly having a state convention among slot machines provides an interesting comparison of values.. The opulence of Dover Downs was impressive, with the borg security service patrolling the hallways, and the Fire and Ice bar all iced out, and no one drinking at 9:00 in the morning, but somehow rubbing shoulders with those others there, alone in their chairs, pushing buttons, watching video screens flip numbers in front of them, made politics a rather seedy business, not the high minded atmosphere we had come to expect…

But as with any red carpet, the comings and goings were most telling.. John Kowalko was walking the halls early. Bill Dunn ( who drives fast, we are told) was still moving too fast upon arrival for the coffee attendant, and before the coffee attendant could look up, he had zipped on …

Jerry Northington entered wearing his trademark long sleeved white shirt and either a salmon or mango colored tie (darn casino lighting).

Bob Gilligan breezed by in a suit more gray than his hair has become since becoming the House Speaker…

Matt Denn entered with one little one in tow…

John Carney entered wearing the same suit he was last seen on November 4th; the dark blue blazer, denim blue shirt with yellow tie, and still no mustache… He planted himself at the elevator going upstairs and greeted the late arrivals…

John Klingmeyer, forever mayor of New Castle, also came late, and met up with Terry Mulrooney, Representative for New Castle’s 17th District… Klingmeyer was black suit, white shirt. Terry was in a chambray shirt, chamois colored pants.

The Red Carpet was rolled up as McGlinchey’s group headed upstairs for the “real” convention….

The upcoming Westchester Democratic convention tomorrow has one race that everyone is talking about. Who gets the nomination for district attorney?

Incumbent DA and former Republican Janet DiFiore, as well as Tony Castro, are the two vying for the party nod. DiFiore has received the endorsement of the County Democrat Executive Committee and many of the local party endorsements throughout the county.

But there are pockets of Castro support that we have heard about. This support comes from Dems who worked on Castro’s two prior races for DA in 2001 and 2005. Other Castro support comes from diehard Democrats who believe that Castro is the real Democrat in the race, and DiFiore a Republican in disguise.

It gets interesting here — we have heard from several Democrats in different Westchester locales that Westchester Independence Party Chairman Dr. Giulio Cavallo has been “lobbying” Democratic district leaders to support Castro.

How can Cavallo, chair of the Independence party, attempt to intervene in the Democratic Convention, to be held on Wednesday at the county center? By using his party’s line to Dems running for office this fall.

We know who these few Dems are but don’t want to name them because they have not accpeted Cavallo scurrilous invitations.

Dr. Cavallo is pushing hard for Castro, which is an indication of his ever-closer political friendship with Sam Zherka, Westchester Guardian publisher, and admitted target of the Manhattan DA.

We have it once again folks, and we should be ashamed. Cavallo is working his black magic on another important county election.

When will it end and when are the Feds coming?

The California Democratic State convention is being held in Sacramento this weekend. The city was chosen over Los Angeles this year for a number of reasons- one perhaps being that the Kings were not likely to fill hotel rooms for playoff games.

-

The party nominated 76 year old John Burton for its chairperson. While in the governor’s race, the favorite is 71 year old Jerry Brown, unless 75 year old Dianne Feinstein jumps into the race. Even John McCain is saying “these people are OLD.”

A 76 year old party chair, and two 70 potential plus gubernatorial candidates? This isn’t a convention, it’s an episode of “60 Minutes.”

-

Senator Barbara Boxer, age 68, also announced at the convention she is running for re-election to the Senate. Presumably to capture the youth vote.

-

Speaking of old, some previously unknown letters written by Benjamin Franklin have been found. In one, the Philadelphia leader excitedly chronicled watching the rookie debut of Jamie Moyer.

-

The NFL announced that they may extend their regular season schedule and play the Super Bowl in mid-February. Apparently they want the season to last at least as long as the NBA playoffs.

It’s the same in that they both started when I actually began to read books and look in to the facts for myself. Until then, I only had opinions backed by headlines, public opinions, hot air, and the media… It’s up to you to decide if I am full of hot air or simply pulling the curtain back and screaming that the emperor has no cloths on…

Cognitive dissonance and selective perception naturally divide us… So… I understand that some will see things through a different lens no matter what truth is presented. I assure you that my philosophy is rooted purely in American history and personal liberty… A strict interpretation of the constitution. The one common denominator we have is liberty. People can divide themselves into a million groups, but liberty is what we should be defending…

No preemptive war (believe it or not George Washington agrees)… No federal income tax. No welfare state. No unbalanced budgets. The smallest possible government is what I advocate. I am for sound money, strong defense (not to be confused with offense) and a sensible foreign policy (aka not policing the world). We have NO moral or constitutional authority to do so. I would like to hear a sound argument justifying 5,000 American solders dead. 100,000 wounded. 500,000 innocent Iraqi women and children for the "security" of the U.S. (which hasn’t made us more secure) Who are the monsters here???

As our Founders understood, this notion of "security vs. freedom" is a lie.

Freedom is security. – Ishpeck

Throughout history, governments have been the threat, the oppressor. Terrorist can never destroy our liberty; if liberty dies it will be at the hands of our own government. Ironically the "patriot act" is doing just that…

If "dissent is the greatest form of patriotism" (Thomas J.), how in the name of giving up freedom for security do we justify it to be patriotic? Patriots fought off the overreaching hand of the King to give us freedom. Giving up freedom in my opinion is the opposite of patriotism. The "terrorist" may cause terror, but they will never take over our country. If you understand why they attack us in the first place, you would think it foolish to support our current foreign policy.

Freedom would also throw off the shackles of being taxed on your labor. Four months you work for the federal government. That’s a lot of vacation time You pay so many taxes you’re getting 50 cents on the dollar… Personally, I’m not getting a good return on my investment.
Think of the freedom money brings to an individual… Like when you sit around your house thinking how free you would be if you won the lottery… How would you like a 40% raise? No income tax!!! I don’t think I’m telling you anything you don’t want… People always flip out and say what about schools and roads. I love this question. It’s called property tax and gas tax. There are a million taxes my friend, income tax is just one. If you want to see a great documentary on the birth of the income tax…

THE ROAD BLOCK

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. " Henry Ford
We can’t move forward until we understand that the American struggle for small government and liberty is being divided by two parties who are controlled by powerful interest. In short, the two party system is really one party. We have moved further from constitutional government under Bush than any other president. Both parties pander to certain groups. Depending on what you "believe" you then place yourself in that party. The most classic example… If you are pro life, pro sanctity of marriage, and a Christian you most likely vote Republican… It’s almost like the Republicans got the Christian class and the Democrats got the evolutionist, liberal, gay, poor class… Both promising things we don’t need.

However, six out of seven things I listed should have zero effect on your vote or party affiliation. Are they important issues to you, yes, but that is NOT your patriotic duty… Yes, on paper, Democrats have a different philosophy of government then Republicans… However, they both start wars, both overspend, both raise taxes, both expand government, both endorse the patriot act, both pass bailouts, both make no sense for true constitutional government.

The problem is… We shouldn’t grade our politicians on any criteria except their adherence to the constitution. Every 4-8 years we ping pong between Republicans and Democrats. It’s a game of good cop bad cop in my opinion… Each party goes to Washington and does 90% harm and solely because of party loyalty that group ignores the bad, alienates the middle and then gets voted out. While the other 50% of America hopes the new guy will be better… It’s nothing more than chairs being rearranged on the Titanic. The whole time we are ramming into the iceberg and sinking… Only this time liberty dies… (btw: liberty is not stopping gays from being "married" by the state)

The people out number politicians by a couple hundred million. If we truly demanded liberty and constitutional government we would get it. Why then are we not demanding it? Simple, divide and conquer. We are so divided over side issues; we let politicians get away with murder. I’m not talking about bipartisanship, I actually hate that word. I am talking about fighting for constitutional government not a political party. Think of how far we have strayed from our constitutional republic under both the Democrats and Republicans.

My biggest concern… I am convinced that nobody knows what the constitution means. If nobody knows what liberty is… How can the people demand it or recognize it in a candidate? Most people only seem to concentrate on superficial promises and where they stand on gay marriage… Hilariously sad!!!

Why are we dividing ourselves into categories? Do you consider yourself a Republican? You are not getting the limited government you think you are… You are not getting less government intervention or less spending. You are not "conserving" liberty. In fact the last two Presidents to have a balanced budget were Democrats… The constitution is the pillar of truth, not a party. What party supports that pillar with action and results? NEITHER… Throw them both out. They had 100 years and they gave us the exact opposite of constitutional government. I will not defend a party because they claim to know Jesus…

Book plug: "Recarving Mt Rushmore" by Ivan Eland
Good video interview:

If you remember nothing else (if you read this far It’s simply this… What makes a good leader in Washington? I’m convinced, Americans don’t know what to look for in leaders. We have to know what liberty looks like in order to vote for it… We need to understand the role of government. People are voting for all the wrong reason. Emotional, racial, social, economic, whatever it may be…

The constitution was written to protect you from government. The founders knew throughout history, greed, agenda, ideas, dreams and mischief of man, only oppressed the people… We need to vote for the constitution. Liberty has not been found in either party for the last 100 years… Why would you hold onto or defend a party that has basically used your religious beliefs to manipulate you into believing the biggest threat to our country is gay marriage… Or simply look at their record in office. Republicans don’t even come close to adhering to the constitution or being conservative. Are you for a political party or are you for America?

If you draw a line on paper from left to right, freedom is at the far right. On the far left are Democrats and Republicans, they’re separated with only a minor degree of difference. If you hold up a ruler of limited government and constitutional principles, both parties fail and are unfit to be in power.
My favorite quote ever…

"In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." Thomas Jefferson
Both parties have gotten away with pure personal mischief. Neither party is your friend…
Better article than I could write. Highly encourage reading it…
http://www.theothereveningnews.com/2007/12/bind-them-down-from-mischief-by-chains.html

For my Republican friends… By simply voting Republican and assuming you are getting a small government person is a huge fallacy… When you dive into the facts, each party is equally as destructive to liberty and your personal wealth. The beloved Ronald Reagan doubled the size of the federal government.

Not until we elect the candidate who most lines up with the constitution (not party or rhetoric) will we be on the path to prosperity and freedom… Until then, both parties will lead us down the wrong path and have proven time and time again to destroy our freedom. This video is from 1988 and we have the exact same problems now. When will we get smart and demand truth not party???

I strongly believe most American people ignored Dr. Ron Paul because they didn’t know what liberty looked like… The funny thing is, Dr. Paul is more conservative in the tip of his little pinky than McCain could ever lie his way to being… His philosophy is the only one the founding fathers would have recognized…

You have a Herculean task before you… Essentially to clean up what Republicans have left behind.

However, it would be fair to warn you that my support for the Constitution of the United States of America, and my sworn duty to obey it to the best of my abilities, has me fearful of some the changes you propose for public safety. As an American, I have the right to live unsafely if I wish…

My ancestors had the same right.. They chose to come to America… and because of that… here we are today.. Our ancestors chose to travel west for opportunity, and because of it, here we are today.. Our ancestors chose to sign up and wear blue, to keep the grays from splitting us apart.. and because of that, here we are today…

I want that same right to maximise any opportunity that may present itself before me..

So, with fair warning, any criteria you propose to tame the Internet, which limits the right I hold so dear, the right to express my opinion with impunity, will cause you to lose the battle of public opinion… because I will fight you there..

The rules for engagement are as follows… YOUR PROPOSALS MUST FIT WITHIN THESE GUIDELINES… Once offered in high prose, but for everyone’s benefit today, I have put them in street language… For after all, that is where these values need to be upheld… on the streets of this great nation…

The ten basic rules are as follows…

1) You can’t tell me what to believe, or make me go home and shut up.

2) I’ll go armed and defend myself, thank you.

3) You can’t make me let someone else live in my house.

4) This is MY house; if you can’t demonstrate a compelling need to
snoop, stay the f*** out.

5) This is MY sh**; keep your greedy hands off it. And don’t go
accusing me of Evil without evidence.

6) If you’ve got evidence, lay it on the table. And no fair getting
a confession by pitchforking me in the ass.

7) I ain’t guilty just on YOUR say-so.

You can’t keep me in jail just because you want to.

9) As to the rest of my life, you can’t tell me what to do or not
do.

10) And neither can your big fat uncle in Washington.

Keep these in mind.. As long as you remain within the parameter of what I have sworn to cherish and uphold, you will continue to have my support… especially the fourth, since it’s misuse directly applies to us bloggers….

Republicans continue to be Republicans. You know, same old story, no taxes, less spending. They never care about people who are struggling, who have been laid off, no job. Perhaps Republican don’t know what it means to be laid off. They don’t know what it means to be in danger of losing their house. They don’t know what it means to be targeted to lose their jobs, because they can always go to somewhere else and get another job.

The America people have spoken. They want the stimulus plan. Republicans as usual stand in the way of progress. Republicans got us into this mess, now they are holding up progress.

It a new day and a new climate for Wall Street firms. If you are going to accept tax payer money, there will be strings attached. It is corporate welfare. You take our money, then you have to be responsible how you spend the money. There will consequences. If you take bail out money, you will need to be accountable. The cap is at $550,000 per year, the pundits are saying this is not a lot of money for an executive to make. Sounds like a lot to me. What about the rest of us who are making maybe a tenth of that?

Come on, give me a break. It’s our money, you don’t like it, then leave. It is accoutability. There is no credibility and there is no confidence in Wall Street. Banks are taking junkets, spending year end bonus on some far away location. Many are saying that the talent may leave because they can’t make the money. I guess they need to make the free enterprise system work for itself…. Find a new job.
