The four dudes of Thai Rockband Retrospect are breaking down the borders for the first time since their start. They’re on the bill of the next Wacken Open Air in Germany. Nothing special? Well, consider the fact it’s their first trip to the continent, the festival attracts about 70.000 guests and it has been sold out ever since november last year. Are they up for succes? A quick/small recap of their career so far, so even the people who don’t know them can easily get to know them.

Retrospect is a band residing in Bangkok, Thailand. Ever since their start in 2000, the boys – or guys – from Retrospect have been able to astonish people with their own Retrorian style. (Retrorian is also the name of their fanclub and the song Yes Sir! is kind of their fanclub chant :p) Their first EP called For Your Ears Only got released through ScreamLab Records in the summer of 2003. It immediately gave attention to the young band and an English Demo called For Your Ears Anytime was a fact. Not that much later they got signed by Genie Records, a GMM Grammy subsidiary and one of the leading Thai record Labels, and were able to put out their first full-length Unleashed in 2007. Their first DVD: The First Concert, showed the boys in their natural habitat and showed a lot of their talent by letting them do duets and featurings with other Genie stars as Da Endorphine and Tao from Sweet Mullet

More recently, in July 2008, came the follow up to their debut: Rise and in December of the same year they released their second DVD/VCD of the new tour called Rise Now! They easily end up in the Thai charts with their music-videos and singles and often stand out in-between the more Pop-orientated Thai culture. Retrospect took Thailand by storm and will not rest before the rest of the world has heard of them. Like I said before, they’re booked for the giant Rock-festival Wacken Open Air in Germany and so their popularity outside Thailand can only start to increase. (They’re playing on the 31st of July, second day of Wacken between Tristania and Mago de Oz on the Party Stage)

Thailand is multicultural. Pop, Rock and Rap easiy go together and are incorporated in the same song. Retrospect tries grabbing the best things out of every genre and put them together at their live shows. Either classical VieTrio, beatboxing Chin Chinawuth or pop rocking Da Endorphine are easily mixed into Retrospect’s harder music.In their latest DVD they even featured one of their youngest fans: Poom, screaming along with Singer Nap’s screams. That said, Nap’s screams are sure to give everyone goosebumps and the vocal parts are easy to sing along to. Now all we have to do left is study Thai and get to know what they’re actually singing about.

Retrospect has posted another video on their youtube account. For the people who hope to see some footage (Except for like a few seconds in the beginning), I have to disappoint you. It’s just a 7min interview (in thai) about Wacken I suppose. Can anyone translate? :p

It’s been nearly a month since Thai Rockers from Retrospect performed on the big Wacken Festival in Germany, and still we can’t really find any footage of the concert. I’m trying my best to show you things, but they’re not making it easy for me.

The guys of Retrospect, however, are releasing things little by little, and I hope that we won’t have to wait very long anymore before we’re able to seen footage of their European Debut!

What could the wacken version possibly be? I hope that they played the Run in their Encore. At least those lucky bastards at Wacken got Pror Wa Ruk, Yes Sir! and Mai Mee Ter. I’m filled with envy.

After these whole two weeks of searching the net, finding absolutely no footage of their Wacken performance, I came across some comments and noticed the band has made quite some impact.

People calling Retrospect their highlight – knowing there were over 200 bands on the festival site – and saying they have to come to England – or any other place in the world – and tour. As well as comments on Last.fm Stating they should tour the world together with label-mates Sweet Mullet. Now all we are wondering about is: why won’t they?

I also couldn’t keep myself from posting this thingy. It looked like they had some fun, will it mean they’ll do anything to return?

The following may appear to be a somewhat protracted and ill thought out review, and in many ways it is, but after minutes of deliberation we decided that the best way for you to see if Wacken is for you is to see as many different opinions as possible on it, so here are four peoples seperate reviews of Wacken all mashed into one, and much like peas, whilst seperate reviews are nice on there own, they’re far superior when they’re mushy. I know, my imaginitive literary skills are extraordinary.

Der W

So this was some pretty old German band that me, Harry and Paul caught while harry was trying to get a wacken t shirt and buy me a towel at the official merch stand. Germans seem to know and love them, but if like me you aren’t fortunate enough to have Prussian blood in your veins, they are most likely completely alien to you. Now, I mensioned that they’re old, however they don’t actually sound that dated. Although the start was rather shaky, and there was some pretty obvious last minute level checking going on, once they got going they churned out some pretty damn good rock. Catchy vocals, nice interesting guitar work, energetic performance….these guys would have probably been huge if they were English or American. Plus the decent song writing makes it sound like it could have come from anytime in the past few decades. Solid Stuff. 7/10

Retrospect

I checked this band out because I was in the area, buying a kebab (if there is any reason to go to Wacken, it’s the donner kebabs there. Proper well mixed, good amount of meat and salad, and the thick bread that you can hold the whole thing with and it won’t soak through or break, its good bread and all!). I also feel the need to check out every Asian band I can when I’m at a festival…don’t ask why, I guess I’m a closet weaboo. Anyway, after I finished the kebab, I found the party stage with these feminine Asian guys playing music that was like a heavyer, more hardcore Bullet For My Valentine. They were pretty good to be honest, I’m just glad they were slightly out of the way on the party stage, or some of the more puritanical metalheads present may have bottled them for being so feminine and metalcore or emo or whatever. The singer was proper camp too. They did have some pretty extreme fringes going on. The crowd of people there though loved them, and after their set they even got quite a large chant of “Zu Gabel”, the german encore of the moment. Very tightly played, with some decent instrumental work. The bassist was sick too, and played an awesome 6-string, as well as being the least feminine of the bunch (not saying much I know). 8/10

Walls of Jericho

First hardcore styled band of the festival was always going to be good. From pretty much the get go, Walls was a melee of pits, hardcore dancing and walls of death, and I’m proud to say I was a part of all of these. Until you’ve seen Walls live, you can’t really appreciate what a beast singer Candace Kucsulain really is. With strong arms to put most male frontmen to shame, and a devastating scream, she was probably the best frontperson of the festival. And she started a wicked if not slightly questionable chant of “Fuck!, Fuck!, Fuck!” by the end of which I was pretty much in love with her. The sound was perhaps a little muddy, and quite a lot of subtleties were most likely lost, but at least it worked really well on the breakdowns. And some good breakdowns seemed to be what most people were looking forward to. They played lots of new material too, which all went down a treat. 9/10

Bullet For My Valentine

I was kind of apprehensive about this, as I knew a lot of people were resentful of them being here, them being an “Emo” band or whatever, but watching them you would never have guessed the stigma attached to them. They played a really tight set, with one of the best sounds of the whole festival, and got an incredible reaction, right back to the beer trucks. “Tears don’t fall” was probably the best song, being a guilty pleasure of me and almost everyone I know. It was a weird feeling being there with thousands of people watching a song we all secretly loved but are normally too ashamed to admit, being able to finally let rip. Kind of like a thousand people simultaneously coming out of the closet together. In many ways, seeing Bullet for my Valentine live was the closest I will ever get to participating in a gay pride parade. And having them playing at a festival that’s normally stringently traditionalist only emphasized the feeling. 9/10

Motorhead

For a first time seeing them, it was enjoyable whether or not I will bother next time…still they know how to rock and they know how to roll. A band still worthy of their status. [8/10]

In Flames

Flanked by a stunning light and pyro display the Swedes can always be relied on for a great performance. No great setlist surprises but solid as a rock and tight as a knot. [7/10]

Testament

Testament played a very tight, well eq’ed, energetic set, with all the classics and a nice cross section through their career, and all was good. However, I feel that the biggest point of the set was the curious spectacle of Chuck Billy, now bloated to the size of a full grown bull manatee, sporting for some odd reason half a mic stand, which he clutched like a chubby RPG player would a staff of warding or something. And if the spectacle of a large adult male with long graying hair and a not fully put together mic stand wasn’t odd enough, whenever not singing, he would play said half stand like it was a guitar, with a scary degree of accuracy to the actual guitar. Sometimes you would confuse him with one of the 2 real guitarists. So I spent most of the set curiously squinting at Chuck, or moshing my balls off. 8/10

Bring Me The Horizon

BMTH always seem to have a terrible live sound, and this gig was no exception. Throughout the whole set you could barely pick out a single riff, just mush, interspersed with breakdowns. The best part of the gig was no doubt the crowd, who kept the spirit high through the whole set, and even engineered a wall of death in the cramped (piss) W.E.T (through) stage. The crowd made this one, the band I have to admit, even though I would call myself a fan, kind of phoned this one in. 6/10

Heaven Shall Burn

Possibly the best intro to a set was heaven shall burn, milking the gentle pre recorded intro before destroying everything. The biggest circle pit of the festival engulfed all. The sound was kind of raw, and they weren’t the tightest band on display, but in terms of raw brutality they gave most a run for their money. 8/10

BFMV

Go against a cloud of doubt and show us all that they truly deserve their mainstage slot. [8/10]

Lacuna Coil

Played an impressive set, mixing old with new and even gave us a taster of some new material. Closing with their always good Depeche Mode cover. Superb. [7/10]

Machine Head

I’m pretty sure everyone agreed that Machine Head was the best band of the festival. Opening with Imperium, possibly one of the best live songs I’ve ever seen, set the bar for the rest of the night. I’m pretty lucky that my New Era cap stayed on through the whole set, and even now it feels slightly sweat drenched. This was however an empty victory, as Jim had earlier dropped it in Ravioli juice. They played an even cross section through their catalogue, and even a few surprises I thought they wouldn’t do live, like the Burning Red, and 9 minute epic Halo from The Blackening. The energy pretty much never abated, and for me, it was a perfect ending to the festival. One of the best live bands I’ve seen. 10/10

Axel Rudi Pell

I was with relief that I saw Axel Rudi Pell take the stage, seeing as they’ve cancelled the last 2 wackens in a row I wasn’t sure if I’d ever see them here, but I did and they were very enjoyable. They were a break from the norm and, whilst playing to a surprisingly low crowd turnout, still got a great reaction. The man himself is a great guitarist and the musicians he’s surrounded himself with are all equally good, especially singer Johnny Gioeli and it was a fun energetic set combining old songs with new (not that there’s ever been any real difference.) 8/10

Heaven and Hell

The stage went red, the band sauntered on with confidence and energy, Dio burst onto the stage with precision and vigour! ‘Mob Rules’ kicked in and from there it was a ‘best of’ Dio’s Sabbath set. Every song from the bands title track all the way to the awesome new ‘Bible Black’ and the exceptionally powerful ‘I’! This band had a presence that only very few bands over the weekend had, it was a well performed set with a basic stage set that suited the band and feel very well, although I couldn’t help but wish the devil beast with multiple tongues would have been made as a stage set rather than just a video. Overall, one of my favs of the weekend – 10/10

Doro

Wow. Superb set, fantastically performed by the Queen of metal. Some amazing tracks, all well preformed and with a brilliant stage set, with ‘Night Of The Warlock’ stealing the show with the amazing moving stage set of the Warlock with its red eyes and huge hands looming over the stage. Doro was obviously happy to be there, the song list was a great mix of old and new material with Herzblut generating great emotion, this was true Doro, much better than she had been at the beginning of the weekend singing the weirdly annoying ‘We Are The Metalheads’ Wacken theme song, she sang ‘We Are’, the real song, they even made a mistake and put the lyrics for ‘We Are The Metalheads’ on the screen, but the crowd didn’t sing it, it was very funny and fitting, We Are is much better! Another of my favourite sets – 9.5/10

Hammerfall

Surprising, I got hammered in a pit, for HF, a real big frigging pit that just burst out during the second song, and again during ‘Glory To The Brave’, No I am not joking, during that quite track, it was amazing, mind bogging and intense… I have been told that from a distance it was not great as sets go, but from up close and in pits and the massive crush at the front it was fantastic, topped the amazing ‘Hearts On Fire’. It was a fantastic experience where I bust my lip, and one that I will not forget in a hurry. I plan to catch them next time they play, just to see if this atmosphere could be rekindled – 8/10

Airbourne

AC/DC can be so easily referenced, but actually I will avoid it. The band played heartily, great stage presence and a fantastic power with a great vocalist and guitarist. The obvious tracks of note were ‘Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast’ and ‘Running Wild’ both of which were fantastic. The crowd were very into their energetic antics, like the guitarist climbing the stage rig and hanging off playing the guitar, it was superb to enjoy the set. – 9/10

Saxon

Despite a rather disappointing appearance at Hammerfest these brits celebrate their 30th anniversary in style. Seeming genuinely stunned Biff accepts an award and the band even throw a rarely heard ‘Crusader’ for good measure.[8/10]

Running Wild

You’d think when its your ‘Last Show Forever’ you’d throw a few quid at it surely…a largely inaccessible show to the non-fans and even those who know the music felt let down. A somewhat mediocre end.[5/10]

GWAR

With music that is almost unbearable to listen to outside of the show GWAR do what they do best, mock politicians and celebrities, shoot various body fluids everywhere and are just downright funny.[7/10]

Cathedral

Quite why Cathedral are billed at half 3 in the afternoon on the massive stage is an utter mystery. Much better suited to the intimate, dark environment its just a bit of a let down. Poor billing, poor setting and sadly a pretty poor show. [4/10]

Grand Magus

Never a letdown live, these guys were simply fantastic, powerful songs, searing vocals and a sound that is far heavier than anything you could expect 3 musicians to create. [9/10]

Borknagar

I am going to make this simple, I was looking forward to them alot as I have wanted to see them for ages… Not the worst band ever technically but for me personally: they sucked, truly boring and disappointing – 2/10

Bon Scott

What can really be said, they were a great AC/DC tribute act, played some great songs very well for a tribute act. The tent was packed full for the first night, It was a squeeze to get in but worth the effort. Very fun but to be honest it was a little pale in comparison to AC/DC a few months before. Can’t beat ‘Highway’ or ‘Hell’s Bells’ or ‘Back In Black’, great stuff – 7/10

Baz’s Verdict – In all the festival was superb, the atmosphere was great however my camp had too many early sleepers for my liking, but such is life, would have loved not to get a migraine for Saxon as they sounded amazing from the site, but alas, can’t get everything you want. Loved the antics of killing an inflatable Simpson’s sofa by diving off a van onto it, yeah, some being more naked in the act than others. Yeah, The leaning tower of gazebo. Yeah, The weird drunk German pissing on the van while I stood there dumb-founded calling him a douche. Yeah, The annoying bastards in the next camp repeating the same absolute shite all over and again. Yeah, Certain odd situations with obsessive 14 year old German girls. Yeah, The Yorkshire bastards in the camp next door with their drinking dickery and having a laugh. Yeah, Telling women that their job was Anal, Swallowing loads and shutting up, apparently it says so in the Bible! Overall it, yeah, all added to the amazing experience that was the, yeah, 20th Anniversary of Wacken!

Mr Bogle’s Verdict-The only real disappo int of the weekend was missing the mighty Amon Amarth. A stage slot of 2am and a swollen foot on my part prevented me from seeing them

Eyelicker’s Verdict – I wasn’t particularly keen on the line up this year at first, due to there being, in my humble opinion, too much classic rock and unknown German bands. Many complained that because they sold out almost straight away they didn’t bother getting a decent line up, and this may possibly be true. There were other disasters as well, such as Jim getting tomato sauce form a Ravioli tin on my New Era cap, and none of my CDs or MP3 player working in Jims van, rendering us without brokeNCYDE or Attack Attack! For a week. Nevertheless, a great time was still had by all, and it was nice for the whole headbang team to finally do something together for the first time. We made friends, got f***ed up, and got crunk! Bloodstock has its work cut out!

Thai Rockband Retrospect’s trip to Wacken is over and I’m here to tell you something.

Bummer. As far as I’m concerned the guys of Retrospect did great on this year’s Wacken festival. Though I have to admit I wasn’t even there, I haven’t found any clips on the internet and I’m just biased. For now I’ve only seemed to be able to find a little note. It’s just them talking in some not-understandable Thai and I believe greeting and thanking the European audience.

You can expect more when I find it as I’m willing to spread some Retrospect-love!

Nach längerer Pause heute außerplanmäßig die Klavierbegleitung zu Der W – Ein Lied für meinen Sohn.

Hallöchen,

ich bin seit einer Woche nich soviel zum Schreiben gekommen, weil im mom ne Menge los war/ist. Ich hoffe also ihr könnt mir verzeihen wenn ich meinen Blog ein bischen schluderig behandelt habe ;-D!

Zum einen ist der Papa seit ein paar Tagen wieder in ein Projekt invoilviert, was meine Zeit von Früh bis Spät beanspruchen wird. Zum Anderen war ich darüber hinaus am WE noch in FFM und Darmstadt, die Musikmesse besuchen um mich meinem liebsten Hobby zu widmen: Musik und gitarren, ihr wist schon… Wie ihr lest hatte ich jedenfalls dick was zu tun.

Was mein Versprechen im Bezug auf den Konzertberricht von letzter Woche angeht, so halte ich nicht ganz Wort, da ich keinen mehr abliefern werde und einen für die Musikmesse schreiben werde. Allerdings hat meiner bessere Hälfte sich die Zeit genommen, diesem Versprechen nachzugehen. Und so kann ich euch hier eine spitzen Review einer nich minder begabten Autorin präsentieren, have fun:

Drei Worte zum W- Geheimkonzert Hannover Fr., den 27.03.

Bericht einer unbeteiligten Freundin, die in der ersten Reihe der Wahnsinnsstimmung erlag und am Ende selbst zum berührungsgeilen Fan wurde.

GEIL: Ankunft vor der Halle. Es ist ca. 18.40 Uhr, arschkalt (auf jeden Fall in meinem dünnen T-Shirt), die Stimmung ist schon ganz gut, haben schließlich auch das Album zum hundertsten Mal schön laut aufgedreht durchgehört und gleich geht’s los….Der W ist in Hannover! Zuerst ein kurzer Einblick in die Situation. Ich, nie großartiger Onkelz Fan gewesen, fand die Musik aber auch nie schlecht, dazu mein Freund, der ABSOLUTE Onkelz Fan. Und wenn ich absolut sage, meine ich absolut! Er kennt alles, jedes Bild, jeden Artikel, jeden Text, jedes Interview. Wir also nach der Odyssee der Ticketsuche (für einen ausführlichen Bericht siehe unten!) in meinem Mazda mit aufgedrehter Musik zum Konzert. An dieser Stelle einmal offiziell, ja ich fahre Mazda und die Karre ist klasse und hat mich bis jetzt überall hin gebracht.

Aber zurück zum Wichtigsten, dem Konzert! Warten auf den W? Na klar, aber nicht ohne anständigen Gesang der Fans. Stephans eigenen Texte wurden durch die Halle gebrüllt. Die Halle, also das Musikzentrum, wird von eingefleischten Hannoveranern auch als kleines Capitol bezeichnet, nicht zuletzt wegen des Balkons und des ähnlichen Aufbaus, die Anderen beschrieben es wohl eher als Jugendzentrum. Die Stimmung heizt sich auf. Dann die Vorband. Nina C. Alice mit ihrer Band den Skew Siskin  brachte nicht nur den Boden zum vibrieren, sondern auch die Stimmung in Fahrt. Alle waren

HEIß: heiß auf den W! Umbaupause, noch einmal tief Luftholen und dann gehts los. Die Band betritt die Bühne, ein Ruck geht durch die Menge, alle stürzen nach vorn. Zwischen riesigen Menschen und Händen, die plötzlich überall waren, dann endlich! Ein Platz in der ersten Reihe, mein Freund beschützend hinter mir, wobei sich jedoch das beschützend irgendwo zwischen Menschenmasse und Megastimmung verlor.

Den Brustkorb an der Metallstange, das komplette Konzert auf Zehenspitzen stehend, die Arme nach vorne gestreckt hat mich jetzt auch so richtig das Fieber gepackt. Die Texte mitgesunden, Stephan die Hand gereicht und einfach die geile Stimmung genossen. Er sang uns Allen aus der Seele, bei Tränenmeer liefen dann auch die ersten Tränen. Diese Musik bewegt.

MEGASTIMMUNG: Die Musik bewegt, innerlich gekennzeichnet durch Tränen, äußerlich durch das Mitsingen und die Ellenbogen, die irgendwie überall sind. Alle strecken die Hände nach vorn, ein Handschlag vom W, nur eine Berührung. Ehe ich mir darüber klar werde, bin ich mitten drin. Man wird einfach mit rein gesogen. Was soll ich sagen, es war einfach geil! Drei Worte zum W? Kein Problem, ein HEIßES Konzert, mit MEGASTIMMUNG, kurz gesagt einfach GEIL.

Soo, das war doch was!!!!

Ich lasse die Tage mal wieder von mir hören, warscheinlich mit nem geilen Bericht über die Messe, denn das war sie!

Das Stephan Weidner nach seinem Soloalbum „Schneller Höher Weidner“ in diesem Frühjahr eine Tour durch ganz Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz macht, dürfte für die meisten Menschen ja Nachrichten von gestern sein. „klar, aldaaa, weiß ich“!

Das die Tour restlos ausverkauft ist und ich mit meinem Atzen das Konzert im Capitol besuche und wir da im April die mega Party feiern werden, dürfte eigentlich genauso klar sein. „maaan, komm zum Punkt“!

Interessanter ist jedoch, das der Meister beschlossen hat, vor seiner eigentlich Tour 3 kleine und schnucklige Aufwärmgigs zu geben, vor einer Hand-voll Menschen im ganz privaten Rahmen. Als „öffentliche Proben“ und als „Clubtour vor der Clubtour“ wurden diese Gigs betitelt, mitunter vielen geladenen Gästen aus der Welt der Stars !

Als ich dann noch lesen durfte, das einer der besagten Gigs im Musikzentrum Hannover stattfindet war klar: Da muss ich hin!! „coole Sache aldaa, das’ ja voll geil!“

Doch jetzt folgt das große ABER: Mir war irgendwie klar, dass es nicht so einfach werden würde an die Tickets heranzukommen und das es wahrscheinlich gefühlte eine Millionen mehr Fans als Tickets geben würde.

Ich sollte rechtbehalten…

Am 31.01.2009 war es dann so weit. Pünktlich am Samstag um 9 Uhr Morgens waren bei Metaltix die Hotlines nur für dieses Event freigesschaltet. Ich hatte am Abend vorher irgendwie… sagen wir mal viel getrunken, hab es aber trotzdem geschafft, mich um 08.55 Uhr aus dem Bett zu hieven und um 08.58 Uhr mit geladenem Telefon auf die „Schlacht der Ticktes“ zu warten.

Naja, machen wir es kürzer als es war: Die Leitungen waren natürlich kläglich überlastet. Ab 08.59 Uhr nur noch das Besetzt-Zeichen. Nach 4 Stunden und gefühlten Tausenden Versuchen, bei denen ich dual mit meinem Hometelefon und meinem Handy bei Metaltix versucht habe durchzukommen, während ich Caro dazu degradiert hatte, das Selbe mit ihrem Handy zu versuchen, bin ich gegen 13 Uhr tatsächlich durchgekommen und TADAAA… alle Tickets weg…!!

In diesem Moment durchströmten mich Hass, Verachtung, Suizidgedanken, der Bock zu Saufen und Unverständnis. Alles auf einmal. Ich denke mal, man kann das irgendwie nachvollziehen, wenn man Stephan Weidner gegen einen beliebigen anderen Künstler seiner Wahl austauscht auf den man Steil geht, bei dem man die Chance bekommt, ihn in so einem Rahmen Live zu erleben. „Klar man, ultra scheiße ist das gelaufen“

Ich sollte aber bald eine weitere Gelegenheit bekommen, an die heiße Ware heranzukommen.

Am 11.02.2009 gab Stephan aka Der W im Rockland Radio und bei Radio 21 (Das sind inhaltlich die gleichen Sender, nur in zwei verschiedenen Bundesländern die einfach einen anderen Radiojingle benutzen) ein zweistündiges Interview, bei dem er Hörerfragen Rede und Antwort stehen wollte und sein ganzes Album samt Bonustracks während der Sendung gespielt wurde. Und natürlich wurden auch hier jeweils 5 Tickets für die ultrageheimen Secretshows verlost, „wie immer ganz einfach eine Email an radio21@blabliblub.de senden und gewinnen“

PUSTEKUCHEN! Am folgenden Tag waren laut der Internetpräsenz alle Gewinner schon informiert worden und mein GMX Ordner war natürlich in diesem Bezug leer.

Doch hey, fast schon ohne Hoffnung wurde am 06.03.2009 bekannt gegeben, via MySpace sollten jeweils 5 Karten für jede Stadt, in der eine Secretshow statt finden würde, verlost werden (drei an der zahl Anm.des.Autors).

Am 11.03.2008 sollte man um Punkt 21 Uhr eine Nachricht bei MySpace mit dem Betreff „ICH WILL NACH „STADT MEINER WAHL EINSETZEN““ samt Adresse abschicken. Die jeweils ersten Fünf gewinnen. Als kleine Sonderaufgaben musste man noch den Song HEIß als Profilsong haben.

Doch wie es das Schicksal nun einmal wollte, war ich an jenem Abend zu besagter Uhrzeit auch nicht ansatzweise in der Nähe eines Computers, stattdessen saß ich in der 20.30 Uhr Vorstellung des ultragehypten Films „Watchmen“, welcher sich am Ende des Abends als absolute Gurke herausstellte.

Also ZACK, Freundin beauftragt: MACH MAL! Alles gezeigt wie sie was zu machen hat.

Doch auch am nächsten Morgen der gleiche Mist. Die Gewinner waren schon informiert worden und ich war nicht dabei. Dazu muss allerdings gesagt werden, das dass nichts mit Caro zu tun hatte. Sie hatte alles korrekt durchgeführt. Nein, um Punkt 21 Uhr sind 20(!) Seiten mit Nachrichten auf Stephans MySpace-Präsenz eingegangen, die alle theoretisch die Bedingungen erfüllt hatten. Was für MANIACS!!!

Ich hatte die Secretshows eigentlich schon at akta gelegt, als ich am gestrigen Tag nichtsahnend auf www.der-w.de ging. Und da stand, ganz frisch, gerade eingefügt, ein Eintrag von 17.17 Uhr, praktisch also noch ganz warm, um nicht zusagen HEIß, folgendes:

Während ich das las, kam mir unweigerlich die Höhner-Handball-Hymne ins Gedächtnis „Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann?“

Also, mit zitterndem Körper zum Telefon gehechtet, Nummer gewählt, gleich durchgekommen und ZACK, erzählte mir die nette Dame am anderen Ende der Leitung das ich Glück hätte, und noch Tickets für Hannover Secret da wären. Ich frage vorsichtshalber noch mal nach und möchte das mit der Secretshow bestätigt haben, nicht das ich nächste Woche mit Hannover Capitol Karten wie die Axt im Walde vor dem Musikzentrum stehe und dieser Blogeintrag für den Arsch ist.

Doch glücklicherweise handelt es sich tatsächlich um die richtigen Tickets. Ich lasse sie mir reservieren da ich nicht im Besitz einer Kreditkarte bin und deshalb auf meinen Vater warten muss. Vor nicht mal 1 ½ Stunden um Punkt 9 noch mal angerufen und TADAAAAA: Alle Tickets waren natürlich ausverkauft, aber meine Reservierten lagen noch am selben Platz wie am Vorabend. Bestellt und schönen Tag gewünscht. Aufgelegt. Freudentaumel. Eine Odyssee hat geendet. Der Weg war steinig, aber es hat sich gelohnt, ihn zu gehen. Was lange währt, wird endlich gut. Vor der Dämmerung ist die Nacht am schwärzesten. Kaffe schmeckt am besten Heiß. Wasser ist Nass.

Ich könnte ewig so weiter machen, ich lass es aber lieber sein. Ich freu mich, jetzt erst mal ein Beck’s, dann schmeckts. Konzertbericht wird natürlich folgen, inkl. Fotos und exklusivem Bachstagematerial, verlasst euch drauf!

Heute ist der erste Tag nach den Sommerferien in NRW. Schon trauer ich den letzten Wochen nach!

Es kann so entspannend sein, morgens zur Arbeit zu dahren. Kein Stau, keine gestressten Fahrer. Selbst die LKW Fahrer sind entspannter, da es sich durch den nicht vorhandenen Verkehr auf den Autobahnen recht gemütlich fahren lässt.

Ab heute sieht die Sache wieder anders aus. Als ich heute Morgen das Radio anmachte, kam auch promt die Staumeldung die ich erwartet hatte. Um 06:45 Uhr in der früh waren bereits in NRW 15 Staus über 4 Kilometer länge vorhanden. Unfälle und ein “Spaziergänger” auf der Autobahn taten den rest dazu.

Man hat hier nur folgende 2 Möglichkeiten um relativ Stressfrei zur Arbeit zu kommen. Entweder man fährt bis 06:00 Uhr morgens los, oder aber erst nach 09:00 Uhr.

Beide Zeiten haben so Ihre Problemchen. Wenn man um 06:00 Uhr fahren möchte, muss man Scheiße früh aufstehen, was auch nicht jeder kann und mag, mich eingeschlossen.

Wenn man nach 09:00 Uhr fährt kann man zwar ausschlafen, muss dafür aber ewig lange im Büro sitzen.

Ich schaue gleich mal in den Kalender, wann denn die nächsten Ferien beginnen …

Der nächste Urlaub ist geplant und gebucht. Am 26-09-2008 geht es ab Köln los.
Nonstop Flug nach Sardinien

Villasimius heisst der Ort, wo wir uns dann 14 Tage vergnügen, trinken lachen und vor allem erholen werden.

Geplante aktivitäten werden sein: Tauchen, Reiten, Kiten und der Rest Entspannung und Erholung und vor allem viel Spaß mit Freunden …

Also der Countdown läuft.

Etwas Musik am Morgen. Ich Liebe dieses Stück. Einfach genial … Enjoy it !!

Ich höre es von meinen Arbeitskollegen, ich höre es von Freunden und Verwandten und ich merke es selbst.

Seit Tagen, wenn nicht sogar Wochen, bin ich permanent Müde. Ich habe das Gefühl das ich 24 Stunden am Tag schlafen könnte. Das obwohl ich eigentlich genügend Schlaf bekomme.

Auf Dauer schlaucht das ganze aber sehr. Ob es am Wetter liegt, oder ob man wirklich derweil an einem Müdigkeits Syndrom leidet .. wer weiß es.

Bei Wikipedia kann man lesen, das es für Dauermüdigkeit diverse Krankheitsbilder gibt. Ich muss aber schon zugeben, das eigentlich keines davon so Recht zutrifft. Oder rede ich mir das nur ein? Nein! Ich denke ich bin Gesund, was auch ein letzter Arztcheck bestätigt.

Anyway .. da muss ich jetzt durch. In ein paar Tagen wird es wieder besser .. GANZ BESTIMMT *gähn*

Seit gestern besitze ich ein Neues Altes Auto. Mein alter Golf II ist dann letzte Woche Montag in Flammen aufgegangen und war somit hinfällig.

Da ich aber VW treu bleiben möchte wurde es diesmal ein 5 Jahre alter VW Lupo. Meine ersten 100 KM fand ich schon mal sehr nett.

Ein kleiner spritziger Wagen mit 50 PS. Verbrauch soll wohl bei durchschnittlich 5,8 Liter liegen, was mir zu gute kommt, da mein Weg zur Arbeit täglich 120 KM doch recht weit ist.

Bei einer Geschwindigkeit ab 140 KM/H wird es doch etwas laut im Fahrerbereich.

Mal schauen was ich noch über dieses Fahrzeug berichten kann. Erst einmal testen.
