We always have plans. Always dreams. Always expectations how life suppose to go. That is great. But

We always have plans. Always dreams. Always expectations how life suppose to go. That is great. But what if life/God/Universe/reality has different plans? What then? Very often we get angry or sad or start to complain how miserable our life is. We just like when things are going in a way we want it to go. We think we know everything, also the best solution for us. But are we?

It is good to have dreams. It is good to have plans – to reach our dreams. But it is also good to have knowledge, that maybe we are missing something in our view of the world and maybe – just maybe – there could be better things waiting for us. That is often difficult part. It is often all or nothing – dream or doubts. Dream and I am going for it. Doubts that I dont know what I want and what is good for me.

And maybe start to be open? Maybe accept what is happening right now. No matter if it is right or wrong. Just say THANK YOU for this experience. Because it is teaching me. How to be more me. And how to reach my dreams. Accept. While fighting – no matter with what – we are putting walls between this what we want and ourselves. While acceptance we are opening the road. Road to the best. Because it is always there. We just sometimes not to see it. But it is. If it is this thing we are dreaming about – then we will get it anyway. If something better is waiting for us, then there is no point in being so stubborn, right?

THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS POINT IN MY LIFE I AM RIGHT NOW…

We all have dreams. But only some of us deciding to fulfill our dreams. To jump, take a risk and get what we are longing for… To dream is easy. To fulfill dreams – not so easy.

To make our dreams come true – this means risk. First of all, that our dreams really become reality. Second – road to fulfill our dreams it is not always bed of roses. To make our dreams come true, we have to change. We. Noone else. No the world, no the next door neighbour. We. Because very often we are the obstacle on the road to fulfill our biggest dreams. Ironic, isn’t it?

These things inside us are making hurdles on our way: expectations, beliefs, these all “I cant”, “I am not able to”, “It is not possible”, “I don’t want”, “Maybe later” and so on. If not all these stumbling blocks we are responsible for, we would get our dreams in our hand long time ago.

And also we are afraid of fulfilling our dreams. It is safer to keep them on distance – there is something to dream about in long windy winter evenings. And what if our dream will become a reality? What then? About what we will be dreaming? We are afraid of emptiness which may come…

Lots of reasons to dream. Lots of reasons not to follow this dream.

And one more thing… Do you really feel you deserving on fulfilling your dreams? Imagine your dream as it was already fulfilled. As it was reality right now. Imagine yourself being in that picture. What do you feel right now? What kind of emotions, thoughts are coming to you? Do you feel comfortable and happy? Or maybe deep down your heart is little doubt? Little hesitation? Or maybe silent voice is saying “not now, later”.

I am sure you feel something like this. If it was in other way, you would already have what you are longing for…

Everybody has such one. Do you know how yours look like? When you are saying “no” to something, to opportunities life is bringing, why you really saying it? Is it because is not good for you, or maybe because it is something beyond borders you have setted for yourself?

I am right now in such point in my life, that I must (MUST) move my barriers, leave my comfort zone. On many levels. To follow my dreams, passions. This is scary. But also very exciting. What is waiting for me? What kind of person I will discover within myself? What I still dont know about myself and need to know? So many questions…

Thanks to comfort zone we feel secure. But there is catch in it: not leaving comfort zone, our borders – we – are not changing. We want things to stay as they are. And that is impossible. Cause nature means movement. Not changing means dying. So we are dying. Day by day. We still have dreams, but no will and energy to go for them. It can be very painful. Sense of powerless.

When we love and respect ourselves, it is easier to pass that border. We know, we deserve for much more. We know, that we will be hurting ourselves if we still be doing nothing. I am still learning it. How to love me. How to respect me. How to give all the best to myself. I am sure you also. And I know, it is neverending journey. Isn’t it great?

What am I doing in Bihar? I was born in the North-eastern state of Mizoram, studied in Delhi and Pun

What am I doing in Bihar? I was born in the North-eastern state of Mizoram, studied in Delhi and Pune, worked in Bombay and Delhi for five years before I came to Patna. In short, I have nothing to do with Bihar…. my only memories of the state are when I passed by on a train to Guwahati and got angry at so many people getting into reserved compartments, and making life hell for long distance passengers like me.

Cut to November 2008- I’m tired of Delhi. Three of my good friends have moved on over the past year or so. I’m looking for a change on the work front too, after three years of reporting in this city. Life on the personal front is not very rosy and I want to move out for a few years.

So I write to my Boss…transfer me to Bangalore, there is a vacancy there. Boss says, I can send you to Patna. I say ok, send me to Patna. Boss says ok.

I tell my parents first- my father is not particularly happy, to say the least. Then I tell my friends, some of them are excited, many are aghast…. arre, what a “good career move” , they say..Koi goli maar dega to kya karega tu ?!!! I say, I’ll go there with an open mind…koi goli maarega to kha loonga !

I’ve been reading about Nitish Kumar’s development agenda in newspapers and magazines. Bihar is changing, its becoming better , they say. I want to see for myself.
January 6, 2009, is when I arrive in Patna. By first impressions, it doesn’t seem too bad. The roads are wide, there are footpaths, the areas I go through on the way to office seem to be clean….definitely not the third world city I had imagined. Then, a moment of truth from my driver Mustkim. Sir, ye jo road dekh rahe hain aap, ye teen saal pehle tak two lane thi ….. Nitish ne saari illegal dukaanon ko tod diya , aur road ko 6 lane banaya. I can’t even imagine, how this road in the heart of the city, could have been two lanes !!!

January 19, 2009 is my first outstation assignment. I have to travel to Supaul, on the Nepal Border, to do a story on the rehabilitation of the Kosi flood victims. I’ve been told the road is ‘good’. I’m prepared for a disaster…the place is 250 kilometres away. Through the journey, I keep on looking out for that ‘ disaster road’ , but I’m disappointed ! The road is not excellent, but is smooth for a larger part of the journey, and the ride is comfortable.

At a Dhaba 80 kms away from Patna , this is what a truck driver tells me ” sir, ye jo aap road dekh rahe hain. Ispe chalne main mere to aankh se aansu nikal jaate the !!! main 10 minute truck chalata tha, phir 15 minute rota tha ki kyon Bihar aaya main ! “

Ten days later, I’m sitting in the office of this senior police official who I cannot name. He is rattling off figures about how law and order has improved over the past few years. My face betrays the fact that I’m highly skeptical. He says, “Ok , you don’t believe me…come home, speak to my wife. In 1999, I was posted as the IG in xxx ( cant reveal where, sorry !) ….. you know how many times my wife’s chain was snatched during my one-year tenure….5 times !!!! Ask my wife !!! One evening, I was going out for a walk ….. my wife simply refused to let me go ! I said, arre, I’m the bloody IG ! She said so what ! I’m the IG’s wife, and you could not stop my chain from being snatched ….. I said I’ll go out with a bodyguard. She said I have a gut feeling you might come to harm today. So, the IG of the place is stopped from taking a walk because his wife feels it is unsafe for him.”

Things have changed now, says the officer, you can go home even at 11 in the night, alone !

I decide to test this. The very next day, I leave office at 11 in the night. I find a lone cycle rickshaw and start chatting with the rickshaw puller. I ask him, have things changed. He says…sir, sach bataun….. I say yes. He says, even four years ago, if you met me at this time of the night, I would have refused to take you anywhere. In fact, you look like a good man, I would have advised you to sleep in your office…someone could have shot you, stabbed you !

I’m not scared. I decide to walk the last kilometer, there are three major intersections , all three are lit, and there is a police gypsy at all three intersections.

The other thing that people say has improved immensely is the state of education. One day in July 2009 , 30,000 primary teachers descend on Patna. They want to storm the Vidhan Sabha, they are angry that they haven’t been given permanent posts, they are on contract …bring us on par with full time teachers, they say. They were recruited by Nitish two years ago …. the police stop them a kilometre away from the Vidhan Sabha. At 2 pm, all hell breaks loose. The teachers break through the barricade, the police break into a lathicharge. I run for dear life !!! When the chaos dies down, my cameraperson offers this pearl of wisdom – arre, the teachers are protesting because they have jobs and are not satisfied…five years ago, there were no jobs, so no protests ! I’m amazed at the logic, but later, when I introspect, it seems to make sense !

Now the disclaimer…

23 July 2009, a woman is stripped in full public view in Patna. Hundred people look on as she is stripped, no one does a thing. There is no cop in sight …. finally after a good 30 minutes of this humiliation , someone intervenes, and the crowd then beats up the boy, and the girl.

16 Aug 2009, a five-year-old girl is “sacrificed” by her uncle, to appease some God.

18 August 2009, a group of students torch four coaches of the Sharamjeevi Express, as the railway cops look on … the students are angry ….. the cops tried to stop them from entering a air conditioned coach. The students were not authorised to enter that compartment but clearly, the law meant nothing for these students.

I could go on and on, about a girl being dragged out of a train in Chapra, and raped, about another train set on fire by miscreants, about an engineer in Sitamadhi allegedly beaten to death in the premises of the collectorate.

Not very healthy signs for a “changing state”. And the perspective that I have offered, is a limited urban one. I haven’t touched the issue of the once famous massacres, the caste inequalities in the state etc, the Lalu Yadav factor, how he lost, the once famous criminal politicians of Bihar, most of whom are now in jail. But then perhaps, 6 months is too short a time to get a perspective on these things.

More on this will follow later. So has Bihar changed? I’m yet to make up my mind.
So what about you … what you think ?? Is bihar really changing ??

I know that the spine is just as important as the brain. The brain has to communicate to the rest of the body for it to move, breath and live. I also know that the brain communicates through the nerves that travel in the spine. In addition i know that if the connection is broken you lose all the fucntions of the body underneath the part of your spine that can no longer communicate with the brain.
I must research the different sections of the spine and learn which part controls certain body funtions. I need to investigate how technology can teach and what is the best form of teaching it.
I am required to use a broad range of sources such as the internet, books and biology class to find relevant information. I was hoping to get the most information from my biology class however since we probably won’t be doing spinal cord for awhile I have to do reseach on the internet. I dislike using the internet to find information because the internet is so big I find its impossible to pin point exacally what im looking for. In addition when I do find it im required to find proof the the information is correct because the information can be put on by anyone therefore it may be false.

I am not saying that I am a prophet in English nor an Arabo-English native speaker. I just want to s

I am not saying that I am a prophet in English nor an Arabo-English native speaker. I just want to share some points on how to learn English. These points I have used myself to improve my practical English and now I have fine skills in English that allow me to write lengthy articles (As you can see this topic), communicate, read and translate. If you really want to gain knowledge and improve your English skills then read this English even if your English is RUBBISH (e.g. I deliberately.) This article was not revised accurately after I have finished writing it, so you might find some English mistakes.

Best Wishes

Universal Love Acid . .

First of all it should be known that not everybody can grasp a knowledge in a one day, although I believe that some individuals can do it. They can learn a lot of things in one day. I believe that the human may have the ability to learn engineering principles in just 2 days. But this depends on the individual himself. Some people are ready to spend twenty four hours to learn something by their optimism and well , opposing boredom and depression. English is a language that the majority of its fundamentals can be comprehend in twenty four hours. But as the majority of the people are not willing to sit on a chair and face a book or a computer for the whole day, then I will just say you should know that learning needs time and it depends on your effort, willingness, the way you learn, your learning ability and finally if you love what you are learning or you are just forcing yourself to learn it.

To find this topic useful, you should know some basic grammars and some vocabularies. You should be patient. If you are a person who thinks that old people are not able to learn anything new, please close the window . You may find the instructions I am going to write useful INSHALLAH.

By the Name of Allah the Most Merciful The Most Compassionate

Prayers of Allah be upon Muhammad and his Household

O Allah, guide us outside the darkness of illusion and honor us with the light of comprehension. O Allah, open to us the gates of your mercy and spread among us the treasuries of your knowledge. By your mercy, you are the most merciful and the most compassionate. Through Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

Amen

1- Knowledge is not restricted to particular places.

A lot of people think so. They think that knowledge is restricted to specific places that you should attend for the sake of knowledge. Knowledge can be gained whenever the teacher is present. If there is an Arabic person who works as an English teacher then he can help you other than saying that you should travel to west to learn English or being instructed by a native speaker to master the language. This is totally rubbish. I have traveled to west, I have been to institutes where native speakers were teachers of the English language and I know the truth that if I have not worked to improve my English, then neither traveling to west nor enrolling in an institute will be useful. Now you are reading an article and you can find a lot of English mistakes and therefore say to yourself “traveling to west or enrolling in an institute would not make me immune in English language if I am not working to develop my English” and even if you have never been to west and you spend days learning English from Arab people, I guarantee you those who are studying the language in the west or English institutes won’t be stronger than you in the language.

2- English plus Interests.

A basic rule you can apply on everything learnable: Knowledge + Love = Easy learning + Productivity. It is easy to memorize poems because of its beauty. If you love football you will find yourself getting involved in a lot of discussions about football within friends, in university, cafes, even in mosques. If music attracts you, then you might be a person who cannot drive a car, doing university assignments or chat with friends unless music is on. My advice to you is to use your interests to make learning English more attractive. If you love football read English articles about football, read footballers biographies. Follow the football news which are presented in English. If you are fond of Songs go and read about your favorite band. Read about the instruments they use. Go and read their songs lyrics, why not memorize them. If you love cooking, fashion, etc go and read about it, hear about it, write about or speak about it.

I have been attracted to many things during the 21 years I have been living. I was attracted to Songs when I was 16 years old until I became 17. I used to listen to rap songs at the beginning but then I changed to Rock and Metal. Whenever I hear some words I remember from which song did I learn it. I memorized some of the songs rhymes and I still can remember them. However, I am no longer listening to music as I consider it forbidden and I believe that there are many sources that allow you to learn English other than listening to songs . When I became 17 I started intervening in English discussions about social affairs, politics, society and religion through Paltalk. This had a strong impact on the way I pronounce words, the way I arrange them and their selection. I spoke about such things because they were my interest. I am very fond of discussing matters about religions, creeds, notions in economy, politics and religion. They are still my interest. Two years back I started listening to Shia Islamic lectures which can be found easily in the web. I wrote many posts in Shiachat forum. I followed my interests. As for video games. I liked Metal gear solid which improved my linguistic and mental abilities.

I was also interested, and still interested, in graphic design. I had to read lots of English tutorial to learn how to use Photoshop, design websites and using Flash (Western artists usually share their knowledge unlike the rubbish Arab artists who keep the knowledge for themselves. Therefore, English tutorials were widespread on the net). Currently I am still interested in intellectual discussions, but I am also fond of reading books about self help, fiction and wealth. I will write about books later in this article.

3- English as a part of your life.

Interests are parts of your life. This is one. But there are other parts of your life. If you are a university student you are ought to read textbooks, make researches, participate in English and listen for a professor speaking in English for a whole day. English is a guest in your life, would you accept it as a guest and serve it? If you are a house maid you may prepare food for your food in Ramadan ;p you may face a difficulty in dealing with your children (May be, I hope not). You should have a position in life you should have a role and by that you can improve your English.

If you are a student who does not know how to study, then you can go to google.com and make a search about learning strategies (e.g. time management, how to take notes in lecture, how to memorize formulas.. etc) and you will find lots of articles about learning skills and learning strategies and trust me they will be very useful. If you want to cook something unusual and new, then read an English cooking recipe. If your wife is pregnant, then read articles or books about pregnancy, health or read about children as preparation to be a father . If you are going to get married then read about Females/Males and how to take responsibility, how to act with your family members and how to financially support your family members (In addition to the religious reading J ). However, If you could not find an intended article in English and you found it in Arabic (or your language), then just translate it into English.

Whenever I get sick, I go and read about the diseases that have caught me. I read about tonsillitis which used to catch me annually. I read about bones when my wrist was broken. I read about allergies when my skin started to get spotted when I ate mixed Mango, Caramel and egg!. I read about snoring when one of my friends told me that I used to snore a lot while sleeping (The article was very useful , all I had to do was not to sleep on my back). And as a fulltime university student, I specify a time to read university text books usually IF I did not understand what the HELL the lecturer was saying in the class, if I hate the topic I am reading, I just try to find a possible way to make it fun and motivate myself to continue reading.

4- KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

The first verse which was revealed to the prophet of Islam (Prayers of Allah are upon him & his household) was “Read in the name of your Lord Who created.” (096.001). It is a divine order to seek knowledge and I cannot go through all of the religious scriptures and quote statements about knowledge as this article is not specified for such purpose. But the human sensibility agrees that Knowledge is power. with knowledge we are sitting on chairs, playing bowling, playing football. With knowledge we speak and with knowledge we touch. “Mathematicians won the war.” It was the opening words in the movie The Beautiful Mind. I am not speaking about Mathematics but please realize how the developed countries admit that Mathematicians were the true winners in the World War II. knowledge gives you money, time (yes time), friends, wife, house, clothes, legs and tongue. Knowledge gives you these things even if you cannot see them. Kumayl bin Zeyad narrated:

“Once Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) put his hand in my hand and took me to the grave-yard. When he passed through it and left the city behind, he heaved a sigh and said “Kumayl, these hearts are containers of the secrets of knowledge and wisdom and the best container is the one which can hold the most and what it holds, it can preserve and protect in the best way. Therefore, remember carefully what I am telling you. Remember that there are three kinds of people: one kind is of those learned people who are highly versed in the ethics of truth and philosophy of religion, second is the kind of those who are acquiring the above knowledge and the third is that class of people who are uneducated. They follow every pretender and accept every slogan, they have neither acquired any knowledge nor have they secured any support of firm and rational convictions. Remember, Kumayl, knowledge is better than wealth because it protects you while you have to guard wealth. It decreases if you keep on spending it but the more you make use of knowledge the more it increases. What you get through wealth dis- appears as soon as wealth disappears but what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you.

O Kumayl ! Knowledge is power and it can command obedience. A man of knowledge during his lifetime can make people obey and follow him and he is praised and venerated after his death. Remember that knowledge is a ruler and wealth is its subject.

O Kumayl ! Those who amass wealth, though alive, are dead to realities of life, and those who achieve know- ledge, will remain alive through their knowledge and wisdom even after their death, though their faces may disappear from the community of living beings, yet their ideas, the knowledge which they had left behind and their memory, will remain in the minds of people…”.

So decide from know, to read at least 3 pages from an English book or an article every day. All you have to do is to use Google or any search engine as the internet is a large electronic universe and not just restricted to facebook and Email groups. Read about health, wealth, religion, science. These words are enough for this part.

5- Share your knowledge.

“ Teach the people your knowledge, and learn other people knowledge. And by that, you will become a master in your knowledge, and you shall have learned what you have not been knowing” Our Holy Imam Al Hassan (Peace be upon him) said. Thanks Allah, I apply this rule in my life and I ask Allah to keep this grace on me. I have realized its truth. Those who act as if they do not know anything and who do not share their knowledge will end up forgetting their knowledge. The only way to master your knowledge is through repeating it and share it with other individuals. These words are enough for this part J.

6- Books!

If you want to buy a book then please make a perfect selection. Do not just buy anything. If you buy a boring book, then you will be repelled from reading and you might hate or fear learning anything in general. Try to do searches on which book to buy. Ask people who do you think are book readers to help you (This what I usually do J). If you are in the book store and you want to buy a book, then read the back cover, read the introduction and read parts of the chapters in the book to have a general idea about the book and see if the book can be understood.

When you read try to read with an average speed, neither too slow nor too fast. If you read too fast, you will not understand anything. However, you will notice that by the time you will be able to read quickly. If you read slowly, I assure you that you will not understand anything at all. Moreover, If you find a word that you do not understand while reading, do not stop reading to look for that word In the dictionary. Just put a sign next to the word to look for it in the dictionary later and continue reading. Otherwise, you will interrupt your reading continuously.

Try to set a time a day for reading. furthermore, do not be ashamed from reading in public places (e.g. if your mother, sister or wife are shopping. Instead of being sick of waiting, bring a book and read it.)

The first story I started reading was called The Mortal Engine. I could not understand everything in the story and I could not understand every word. However, by the time my English really improved. Even my reading speed highly improved. Now, Thanks to Allah, I am able to read lots of things.

7- Listening.

As for listening, It is recommend to listen for news, podcasts or watch movies. I highly recommend you (especially if you are Muslim) to listen for Shia Islamic lectures such as Sayed Ammar Nakshwani or Sayed Mahdi Al Modarrsi (If you are interested, as some people does not like religion).

8- Writing & Speaking.

Learning how to write or speak are not as easy as listening or reading. In writing and speaking you are the producer of the thought, you are the one who is going to share his thought and intellect instead of being a receiver. The more you read and listen the more active will be your writing and speaking because by reading and listening you would learn more words, how to arrange them and when to use them. You will learn how to pronounce and how to spell.

Writing and speaking are great tools for leadership, to have a part in this world, to export your intellect, to affect people and to show what you have. “The value of each individual is what he/she can achieve” Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) said.

I practiced my writing in forums, such as Shia chat. I intervened in lots of Shia vs Shia discussions and I had the opportunity to translate narrations to use them as an argument during discussions.

As for Speacking. I sometime start to read something with good pronunciation and enough speed. But I am not doing this anymore as it causes me headache. And as I mentioned I practiced speaking on Paltalk but unfortunately entering English rooms (Social issues) on Paltalk is not free anymore, you should pay first.

9- Links.

I hope you have a full access to them Web. These are some useful links to learn or practice English and these are the web pages I really prefer visiting.

1- Shiachat: If you like Islamic discussions.

2- BBC: Powerful and useful website to learn English. I have directed the link to the section where it focuses on English. You may read news, listen to radio or participate in have your say where you can write comments about recent issues.

car: should be SOME simple redesign with INTENT to dashboard in cars. it kills me when i see hte nic

car: should be SOME simple redesign with INTENT to dashboard in cars. it kills me when i see hte nicest. thought-out, engineeered/innovative car with just nice leather or cool fonts on the same basic layout for dashboards. i know you can’t change some things, for a reason probably, but a few could thought about. LIIIIKE—the window wiper–decide if its better to twist or pull down. research most function mapping/intuitive/common–or be bold and change it but only so its so intuitive it jumps the non-familiar gap. anyway, thought about that when it rained today. gesture mapping?? something.

hospital layouts: i went to one the other day and it had concierge real big and also registration. i figured registration, but i saw countless people do some double-takes and pause while i was waiting. no heirarchy/clarity. with questions that might be general or confused questions. also their handles in teh bathroom–to lock, there was a piece of metal on a pivot that swung down on top and then you lifted it [little piece of metal, fine motor skills...lots of old ppl in hospitals?? or ppl with hurt parts] to upright — that was up against the inner wall of the stall; so there was wear on the paint of that wall from it hitting it. DID THEY THINK ABOUT IT SLASH TEST IT AT AAAAALL? funny how once you notice things, they can piss you off when people make mistakes that have ALREADY BEEN SOLVED you know?

wedding program: just in thinking about does every little thing need ot be on there? in one way yes, cuz i get bored and i make little notches in the paper [that most ppl throw away---] for where we are in the service. but maybe there’s a crazy simple way you can keep track, maybe with sliding pieces or folding or something and maybe you just have a shorter wedding service. annnd none of that let’s hold hands while they play a song, and people keep looking between the two events, knowing nothing is changing…and your hands probably sweat. just saying.

kitchen sink: i’m sure there’s a lot to do with that as far as it has to be a holding place for the dishes on their journey to to d washer [ideally you skip the middle man and put it right in, unless it's full. but habit more often is to put in sink--unnecessary step most times]. but at least there could be thought in the side that isn’t disposable to have some visual of literally or metaphorically saying “don’t put food here” cuz it’ll get clogged. th two holes look so similar it actually un-facilitates [not a word] important decisions. even if it’s your house, why does left side mean food? arbitrary. i guess they have those higher up sides for some sinks–but why higher up? you need less room? maybe you just need a little room to scrape off the food and then the rest of the sink is a big basin — with another one just in case…? i don’t know. need to develop.

hospital papers: or just paperwork in general–i know some stuff is legal and based on completely dumb or completely necessary lawsuits, protection, etc. but there seems to be a heck of a lot of repetition in these places. the front desk nurse gets you to fill stuff out, and maybe some of that can be transferred/filled in pother places or something, and then the other nurse brings you in to ask more questions [come completely unrelated but they "have to ask" [side note: a lot of times they don't believe you with the no sexual activity question, esp if your mom's in the room..?]. also, i guess the time in between nurse and doctor is for him to grap that folder thing she wrote in and put outside the door [maybe there's a faster way there too], and brushes up his lingo to make sure he says the right thing. but he still asks the same questions again, and sometimes i forget the little things i needed to remember cuz i just told them to one of the other 3 people..? i just think there may be a system or something to help paperwork in general not be so copious or repeated. but maybe that’s just a dream out of reality. oh well.

just some thoughts i wrote down and wanted to digitiiiize

get ready for christmas!! [if you buy from qvc i'll be pissed---and so will the person probably...:]

Jika anda perokok, cobalah berhenti.

Obat-obatan anti kolesterol

Obat terapi hati jangka panjang

Obat gondok

Obat-obatan pencegah migrain

Now you can dial 109 for Modi Rickshaw.you know that Gujarati Song "Hun Amdavad no rickshaw walo, 999 number walo…Amdavad batavu chalo" but modi has change that number 109 instead of 999.The Modi-Rickshaw will offer services like call-on-board, newspapers, bottled water and music.

Soon, if you need to be shown around Ahmedabad, all you need to do is dial 109 to find a swanky rickshaw at your doorstep.

This will be officially called the ‘Modi Rickshaw’, as the concept is the brain-child of the Gujarat chief minister himself.

If ‘Dial 108′ changed the face of medical emergency services in the state, the state government is now set to float a ‘Dial-a-Rick’ concept sometime later this year.

The vehicles will have a distinct colour scheme, different than the green-yellow combo of the existing three-wheelers.

“We want to encourage people to go for public transport. The Modi-Rickshaw will offer services like call-on-board, newspapers, bottled water and music.

The government will offer subsidies to owner-driver ricksha-wallahs, who will be trained as tourist guides.

The first phase of the project will have a fleet of around 250 rickshaws in Ahmedabad who will be bound by a contract and a fixed tariff plan. The project will be replicated in other cities later.

As per the plan, the state government wanted to dedicate the service before Diwali but it may take a little more time.

I think his planning for all this sequence number for all service.

108:- Ambulance

109:- Modi Rickshaw

110:- ? (Modi Medical) I assume

111:- ? (Modi Complain)I assume

We would like to invite you to a weekend of coding for fun at the Exoweb offices in Beijing on June 28/29. The event is an experiment in which we are trying to bring together developers in an informal way to encourage them to share their projects and coding experience. So, it’s basically like a Hackathon. Everyone brings in their computer and hacks on their own code. People could also give short presentations or demos of their current projects if they want. And if you don’t have anything to hack on you may just look around and watch or join others.

Confirmed guests:

- The Quadcopter group of the Beijing Linux User Group (look here ) will be hacking on their Open Source Hardware
– Martin will be joining the Pike sprint (look here )
– Xuedi will be representing the BLUG’s Open Library Project
– Some Exomates will be present too, hacking on a yet to be defined project

Registration:

http://www.beijinglug.org/en/index.php?option=com_attend_events&task=view&id=8&Itemid=116

Time & Date:

11am – open end Saturday and Sunday, June 28/29th, 2008

Location:

Exoweb office, Tianshuiyuan Shangwu Zhongxin A-505, 2 – Tianshuiyuan Dongjie, Jintai Lu, Chaoyang District, Beijing

Angela Christiano believes a drug will soon be developed that can allow naturally curly haired peopl

Angela Christiano believes a drug will soon be developed that can allow naturally curly haired people to turn their natural curly hair on and off through a type of switch.

WSIL TV/3 in New York tonight reported on the recent findings of Geneticist Angela Christiano and her colleagues who have been studing people with a form of curly hair that is known as “wooly hair”. Angela recently reported her findings in the Journal of Natural Genetics.

According to Angela, who was interviewed for this news segment by Channel WSIL in New York, “wooly hair”, when studied under a microsope, reveals a series of “splits” that can be spotted throughout the entire hair fiber.

As Angela noted, these splits can cause hair breakage and sometimes it can lead to severe hair loss. Angela is very excited about her discoveries related to wooly hair and believe that the splits are due to a mutation in one gene. Even better, the protein that leads to the mutation in the gene is found on the cells surface. Angela believes that soon a drug will be created that will allow the manipulation of hair growth, hair loss and even hair texture.

What does this mean for curly hair? It means that a drug may be developed to allow naturally curly haired people to turn off their curls and change their texture to straight. Angela describes this process as a “switch”.

A bigger question is whether or not people would opt to change the texture of their natural hair and whether or not curly haired people would decide to go straight or not.

The Channel WSIL news team visited the New York salon (Devachan) co-owned by Curly Girl best selling author Lorraine Massey to interview Ana Paula Cota, one of the curly hair experts at work. When asked if she would be willing to trade in her natural curls for a straight texture Ana Paula Cota was quoted as saying she was born with her curls, probably for a reason, and would die with them.

The question of the moment for all naturally curly people. Would you or would you not use the switch to instant lose your curls?

“Twitter, you’re Busted”

Lets talk Twitter!
I did a little searching and found a review on Twitter from Caroline Middlebrook at http://www.caroline-middlebrook.com/

Here’s an excerpt from Carolines review:
“Twitter is many things to many people but what often goes unnoticed is that it can be an incredibly powerful marketing & community building tool with the ability to develop your brand, build relationships with your audience and provide a promotional medium that has the ability to go viral!”

Wow!
“An Incredibly Powerful Marketing and Community Tool,
With a Promotional Medium to go Viral”

Well thats just too good to be true!
I could use some of that, I thought to myself.

So I joined Twitter.com
I filled out my Profile completely and offered a Picture of myself as well.
(Note: One of my biggest pet peeves is that most people fail to offer a picture, much less complete their profiles.)
I used the same username that I use for every site I join: nolimitdomains
along with my complete name Joey Alizio Jr in my profile info page.

I love to click…its fun..fun..fun…
So I clicked onto a few things…. People to follow…
Articles to save as favorites… and I also added a few posts and pics.
I didnt send any messages to anyone.

Anyways, I came back the next day to do some more clicking,
hey why not…. right?
I added a few more follows, and submitted a few more posts,
and pictures . I still did not send any messages to anyone.

Heres where the FUN STOPS.
Twitter froze my account.
:: Yeah, Im confused too ::

So, I immediately messaged them asking a few questions,
and offering some info.
:: I received no reply ::

I chocked that up to bad timing or whatever…
and I sent off a duplicate message of the first one.
:: I still received no reply ::

To this date, I have never recieved a reply from Twitter…
I even sent a Nasty message where I told them off in 96 different ways!
..lol..
I figured that I might at least get a “you’re deleted” note!

In Conclusion:
Twitter is managed by people who dont understand the concept of “Customer Service”
and have obviously never heard the expression:
“The Customer is always Right”
Meanwhile, Twitter’s Lack or Respect shines through Bright!

This isnt Brain Surgery.
These sites need us more than we need them.

Im tired of hearing “Well, this is the Internet you know”
Like that is supposed to excuse people for being Rude and Ignorant to others.
No…there is no Excuse.
