El día de hoy les traigo un complemento del Tema Windows 7 para XP que ya había publicado anteriormente (aunque también funciona para otros temas de XP y de Vista). De seguro notaron que en las pestañas seguían apareciendo el icono y nombre de la aplicación como en el XP…

Aquí les dejó un parche para que en sus pestañas de la barra de tareas aparezca sólo el icono de la aplicación (así como en el Windows 7) en lugar del icono y nombre. Sólo ejecuten el archivo .exe y seleccionan la segunda opción, después cierren e inicien sesión y verán los cambios en su barra de tareas.

Mientras buscaba una imagen en DevianArt me he encontrado esta pasada, 1º En GIF, y aquí en vídeo.

Muchos recordaréis el vídeo que encabeza esta entrada de Cetra Land, para los que no lo hayáis visto os diré que es el primer vídeo que podemos ver en Assassin’s Creed.

Hace poco os hablé de lo que pudimos probar en los Hard Days 09 de Ubisoft y publiqué mis primeras impresiones sobre Assassin’s Creed II. Todo esto me devolvió las ganas de jugar al primer Assassin’s Creed y tras volver a jugar una inquietante pregunta me venía una y otra vez a la cabeza: ¿Como un hombre como Altaïr puede pasar desapercibido entre un grupo de monjes?

La respuesta la he encontrado en una viñeta de Candypalmer en Devianart:

-”Oye, ese chico va armado hasta los dientes.”

-”No sufras, es un erudito”

-”Maldición, ojalá pudiera haber ido yo también a la escuela”

Con este ingenioso juego de palabras nos resuelve cualquier duda sobre los soldados de la Tierra Santa perdieran la pista a Altaïr cada vez que se escondía en un pajar o se mezclaba con los monjes, los pobres no habían estudiado en ningún colegio…

Pero parece que en la época del Renacimiento Italiano los soldados ya tienen estudios y no nos bastará con escondernos y esperar a que su poca memoria les haga olvidar todos nuestros asesinatos…

Pocos son los que a estas alturas no conocen deviantART (dA). Se trata de una web donde cualquiera puede mostrar su arte, someterlo a críticas y compartirlo con el resto de usuarios.
Esta comunidad va dirigida generalmente a los artistas relacionados con las artes gráficas como fotógrafos, dibujantes, diseñadores gráficos… aunque también podemos encontrar obras literarias realizadas por escritores.

Hace poco tiempo decidí unirme  y, aunque no soy un artista profesional, tengo como hobby dedicarle parte de mi tiempo.
Dibujos, diseños, fotografías… todo aquello que realice y tenga relación con las artes gráficas lo publicaré en el blog dando un enlace directo a la imagen subida a deviantART.

Generally, I have little patience between comic issues. I have issues about publishers not keeping their promises about dates. Not that I’ll stop reading the comics because I’m unhappy, but I get frustrated and it makes me a little weirder than usual. However, for a while (I have exhausted this resource now) I was reading several webcomics.

The first comic I started (even before I started reading actual comics) is When Curiosity met Insanity. It’s about an older Alice and a re-vamped Mad Hatter and there’s a lot of other Disney characters in it as well. It’s a world where all the Disney characters co-exist, which I think is a really cool idea. It’s The Mad Hatter’s courtship of Alice and it’s hysterical at moments. At the moment, the comic is stalled for various reasons, mostly the artist doesn’t have a lot of free time and is trying to find a job and income.

And, trailing my posts on Phantom of the Opera and The Labyrinth, the other two comics I read are on Deviantart.com. The first is AsheRyder’s Roommates, which is about Erik and Jareth being roommates in a very strange apartment complex. Add in James Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Javert (Les Miserables), the leading ladies, Sarah, Christine, and occasionally Elizabeth, Nathan and Shilo from Repo. And just the idea of Erik and Jareth in the same room was enough to make my mind boggle. It’s up to 100 episodes and I think the author could end it here.

And spinning off Roommates is Girls Next Door, which focuses on Christine and Sarah, both objects of obsession from other characters. Pika-la-Cynique had a lot of other work (I particularly like her shirt series and Labyrinth Envy, which is hysterical if you’ve seen the movie). GND is kind of parallel to Roommates, showing the girls’ side of things and also the different events that they experience.

And I have a lot more patience with these than I do the publishers because these are real people with lives who don’t always have time to write/draw. I mean, I have days when I barely have time to write. I often write during class (if any of my professors are reading this, I’m not really sorry. They’re writing classes for heaven’s sake).

Plus, they still update a lot quicker.

Bazı insanlar neden blog tutuyor anlamıyorum. Hani ne biliyim, öncelikle ben varım tabiii bu işin başında. Ben neden tutuyorum? Bilmiiyorum.. Sanırım işte canım sıkıldığı için. Ama şöyle de birşey var. Özer keşfedene kadar bu blog sonuçta benim onun bunun hakkında, kendim hakkında atıp tuttuğum bir yerdi. Hala da öyle. Hani özer keşfetti diye mahremiyetinin çok çok da bozdulduğunu zannetmiyorum. özer’in, kerem’in ya da merve’nin burada yazdığım, keremin değişiyle “klasik bülent delilikleri”ni okumaları beni rahatsız etmiyor. Hatta merve’nin bazen kendi haline şükrettiğini bile düşünüyorum burdaki bazı postlardan sonra.

Ama bazı insanlar var ki hem blog tutuyolar hem de bu blogu halka açıyorlar. Hani herkes okusun, benim ne kadar derin ve anlaşılmaz düşüncelere sahip olduğumu görsünler diye. Ulan zannetmiyorum ki orada yazılan birçok şeyi sen bile anlamıyorsundur. ya da 2 sene sonra okusan ulan ne yazmışım dersin. Madem okumamazı istiyorsun bu blogu madem halka açıyorsun, neden bu kadar kişisel ve anlaşılmazsın? Göstermek istediğin nedir? Yani bu kadar bu kadar karışık mı düşüncelerin? Ben anlamıyor. Gerçekten basit bir anlatımla düzgün türkçeyle derdini anlatmak bu kadar zor mu? Bu kadar mı komplek birader duygularınız?

Bu biraz internet ve dijital teknolojiyle ilgili sanırım. Artık herkes kendini ifade etme özgürlüğüne sahip. Hem de bütün alanlarda. Sanatta, teknolojide, felsefede, müzikte. Bkz. Myspace, bloglar, deviantart.. İyi güzel hoş. Artık hepimizin elinde 2bin liralık dijital oyuncakları var. Ses kartları, midi controllerlar, dijital fotoğraf makinaları. Bu iyi birşey aslında. Yani kimseyi suçlayamam. herkes istediği şeyi yapıyor. Ya da öyle gözüküyor. Onun ayrımını henüz yapamadım ve belki de bir ayrım yok. Ama kardeşim anasını satıyım herkes fotoğrafçı artık. Herkesin bitmek bilmez edebi eserleri, şiirleri var. Synthlerin presetlerini birkaç kurcalamadan sonra abiidik gubidik sesler çıkaran herkes elektronik müzik yapıyor. Bunun sanat kirliliği olduğuna inanıyorum. ve böyle giderse (ki gidecek) gerçek sanatın yerini bulamaycağını, bütün  bu çöpler arasında kaybolup gideceğini düşünüyorum.

Sanat tek başına sanat değildir. Buna inanmıyorum. Sanat için gerekli şartlardan biri de o sanat duygusu ile iilgili estetik bilgiye sahip eleştirmenlerdir. Her kim okursa bunu belki yazdıklarımı saçma bulacak ama ben böyle düşünüyorum. Eğer eleştirmen yoksa sanat daa hakettiği yeri bulamaz. Düzgün bir sanat eserini, yarı deli birinin paçavrallarından ayrılabilmesi gerekmektedir. Ama yine internetle beraber yaratılan bu “sözde” çalışmalar, herkesin her konu hakkkıdna atıp tutabilmesi dolayısıyla saçma sapan biçimlerde beğeni görüyorlar. Çünkü yine bu çağ ile beraber gerçek bir eleştirmenin yazdıkları bütün o comment’ler arasında kaybolup gidiyor. Ve herkes gibi gerçek eleştirmen de sadece bir nick name’den iibaret olduğu için, çoğu zaman yapılan haklı ve yerinde ve bazen de acımasız olan bir eleştiri, diğer o çok “post” sahipleri, bütün o web sayfasındaki şahısları tanıyan baskın alfalar ve onların goygoycuları tarafından yenilip yutuluyor.

Oscar Wilde’ın da dediği gibi: “Eleştirmen, güzel şeylerden edindiği izlenimi başka bir üsluba ya da yeni bir malzemeye dönüştürendir.”

Ancak dijital çağ ile beraber eleştirmenlerin de yavaş yavaş yok olmaya başlayacağı gibi bir korku var içimde. Niklerin arkasında büyoyor yeni eşleştirmenler. Forumlarda, kendilerini göstermeden harflerin, soru işaretlerinin, noktaların, virgüllerin arkasına saklanarak. Aslında bir düşünecek olursak bu belki eskiden de böyleydi. Ya da belki yeni birşey, sağlıklısı da bu. ama her zamanki gibi birçok yanlış da beraberinde geliyor. Bir forumda daha çok post sahibi biri daha iyi eleştirmen daha çok şey bilir gözüyle bakılıyor. Myspace’te daha çok arkadaşı olan biri daha iyi müzisyen olarak kabul ediliyor. Yazdığı saçmalıkları bloguna koyan ve facebookta bunu web sayfası olarak gösterip her yere link olarak postlayan yazar paçavraları iyi edebiyatçı olarak kabul görüyor.

Bilmiyorum belki de bu toplumla ilgili birşeydir. Toplumun genelinin kafasında bir filtre eksikliği var. Çoğu zaman iyi bir eseri kötü bir eserden ayıramıyoruz. Yıllardır bunun üstüne bir sürü tartışma yapılmıştır. Toplum mu sağanda yumurta istiyor, yoksa sağanda yumurtayı “sistem” mi bize veriyor. Cevabı ben hala  bulamadım. Ama bir dakika. Internet sayesinde hiç yoktan kısmi de olsa dijital bir özgürlüğümüz yok mu? Seçme özgürlüğü, konuşma özgürlüğü, facebook’ta “like” yapma özgürlüğü. Myspace’te kimle arkadaş olacağımızı seçme özgürlüğü. Hangi blog’ta hangi postun altına comment bırakacağımızın özgürlüğü. peki o zaman neden birçok sanat dalı dibe doğru gidiyor? Bunu direkt olarak internet ile iilişkilendirmek ne kadar doğru bilmiyorum ama sanki  internet globalleşmeyi hızlandırdığından beri sanat dalları da tamamen aşağı doğru giden bir grafik çiziyor. Hit olarak kabul ettiğimiz şarkıları düşünün. Geçen seneki hitlerden neyi hatırlıyoruz ki?”Mum” diye bir grup türkiye’ye geliyor ve aman tanrım yani herkes müzik bile sayılamayacak iki gerizekalının buldukları abuk sabuk aletlerle çıkardığı sesleri dinliyor. Beatport top 10 listesini öncceden evde hazırladıkları setlerle çalan insanları iyi dj olarak kabul ediyor. Neden? Çünkü lanet olası dijital teknloji sayesinde onlar hert yerde. neden? Çünkü gerçekten iyi müzik yapan bazı insanlar evlerinde iyi müzik yapmak için uğraşırlarken, onlar myspace profilleri için alacalı bbulacı şekiller çizmekle meşguller. Neden? Çünkü duygu olduğuna inandığı bir anı fotoğraflayan, sabahın 6sında kalkan bir adam, o fotoğrafa daha da duygu yükleyebileceğine inandığı transsparan photoshop numaralarını sabahın 2isine kadar yapmaya çalışırken, google’un image search’ünde bulduğu birkaç saçma fotoğrafı 80lerin protesliğinden çaldığı fikirlerle yine photoshop sayesinde birkaç dakika içerisinde bir arraya getiren bir adamın kalan vakitini bunu facebook’ta profil resmi olarak işaretlemesin yüzünden.

Kafamdaki filterinin yıllar geçtikçe daha da değerleneceğini düşünüyorum. Veya ben bu yeni akımları anlamıyorum…

Disney se ha encargado de poner en nuestras cabezas la imagen de princesas dulces, tiernas y buenas. Siempre rodeadas de animalitos, con las más inocentes aspiraciones y sobre todo creyentes en el amor. En nuestro mundo las princesas deben ser así. ¿O no?

Atreviéndose a desafiar nuestro concepto de princesas,  Jeftoon01 ha creado una interesante galería de imágenes que encuentro fascinante. Su nombre es Jeffrey Thomas y es un diseñador de personajes e ilustrador de 25 años que publica frecuentemente su arte en devianART. Su portafolio profesional cuenta con una variedad interesante de ilustraciones. La colección de Twisted Princess cuenta al día de hoy con diez princesas pero sigue creciendo.

Cuando se inicia el desarrollo de una web se piensa en el usuario y cómo se debería reflejar esa identidad en bits para que luego la interactuación e identificación con el servicio sea perfecto y fluido. Hoy en día existen numerosos servicios famosos como Facebook o Google que se usan a diario; aquí os traigo una muy buena presentación de lo que sería la cara de una web si pudiera convertirse en persona.

Por cierto, ¿qué cara os esperaríais ver al visitar mi web? (no mirar el currículum, ya que mi foto está ahí)

Depuis le temps que je voulais mettre en ligne un petit blog sur lequel je pourrais poster de temps à autres quelques news et articles en rapport avec l’informatique, aujourd’hui je me lance enfin.  J’essaierai d’écrire sur Blog Pistache` deux à quatre fois par semaines pour parler le plus souvent de PHP et d’Ubuntu, plus généralement de développement web et de Linux. D’autres sujets seront sûrement abordés:  WordPress, puisque c’est la plateforme de gestion de blogs que je suis amené à découvrir, quelques news personnelles ou informatiques, certainement des coups de gueule (je ne sais pas encore sur quoi mais je trouverai bien)… Le but de ce blog étant principalement de communiquer le peu de savoir et d’expérience que je possède, j’essaierai de remplir cette tâche du mieux que je pourrai. Blog Pistache` est aussi un bon moyen pour moi de garder un œil sur la blogosphère, puisque dans le domaine des nouvelles technologies en général, être en veille est primordial si on ne veut pas se retrouver, dans moins de temps qu’il n’en faut pour l’écrire, aussi dépassé qu’un Hello World en Fortran.

Je profite aussi de ce premier post pour annoncer que le lancement de mon blog coïncide avec l’installation toute fraîche sur mon laptop de la dernière Ubuntu stable en date à savoir Ubuntu 9.04 aka Jaunty Jackalope. Avant de tout reformater j’avais en dual boot Windows XP et une précédente version d’Ubuntu, mais ça faisait longtemps je n’utilisais plus les partitions de Windows que comme support de stockage et ce grâce à un magnifique écran bleu qui ne manquait jamais de s’afficher à chaque tentative d’accès au système d’exploitation de Microsoft. Cette fois j’ai bien pris garde de n’installer que Linux et si un jour des envies masochistes me reprennent il y aura toujours QEMU ou même VirtualBox. Donc après avoir personnalisé ma nouvelle Ubuntu voici ce que ça a donné :

Rien de bien extraordinaire, un fond d’écran vectoriel de chez devianArt, quelques screenlets et le tour est joué. Quand on voit aujourd’hui les possibilités de configuration qu’offrent les environnement de bureaux tels que GNOME et KDE, on se demande ce que peut bien encore envier Linux à Windows. Ando meio sumido por aqui hehe, mas hoje trago uns desenhos feitos por patrickbrown do devianart, o trabalho dele geralmente é mostrado no gtagaming e sempre curti os desenhos que ele faz de GTA e ontem finalmente resolvi dar uma olhada na galeria dele e posso dizer que ele faz um ótimo trabalho não só com GTA mas também com outros jogos, já temos o reiq ali no links recomendados e vou adicionar a galeria dele também. Se você curte GTA e ta precisando de uns wallpapers fica ai 2 dos meus preferidos:

Ich möchte euch heute einmal ein paar Werke von MetaMephisto vorstellen. Einem meiner absoluten Lieblingsdesigner.

Besonders gut an seinen Werken finde ich diese gemeine bzw. ironische Art, die doch auf eine gewisse Art und Weise lustig ist.

Well, that’s the question isn’t it? Which is better….Flickr or Deviantart?

And well I don’t have the set in stone question, but I of course can offer my biased opinion. :]

And so instead of writing out a freaking essay about each, which I have a tendency to do, I will simply get straight to the point and list the pros and cons of each.

Ok, well first the pros:

Flickr

• Over all great awesome website → easy to upload, organize, and manage.
• Commenting is a breeze.
• “Adding as a contact” is a lot simpler and not so much a personal or big commitment.
• Last minute editing is great.
• Offers prints and donations.
• No advertising.
• You can delete your account.

Deviantart

• Huge field of users and diverse arts.
• The profile page and whole interaction is very friendly and more personal; aka very easy to make friends or interact with others.
• Caters to whatever you are into: anime, writing, landscapes, charcoal.
• Widespread reputation.
• More personalization of your page.
• Offers prints as well.

And now cons:

Flickr

• Simple presentation, not much options in design, your page or “photostream” wise.
• A bit harder to interact with people, you kind of have to have good images and a somewhat good rep before you have a whole group of contacts.
• Complete stats on each page and photo isn’t available unless you upgrade.
• You have a 100 MB upload limit for each month. (But hey that’s a lot)

Deviantart

• A bit……overcrowded! Too many people who upload too much without any discretion on their work. (aka a lot of mediocre and, sorry for a lack of a better word, crappy works)
• Too much fan art. (I love anime too but sorry, it’s so annoying to find sloppy scanned sketches of Naruto and Sailor Moon looking like 2^nd grade drawings. (Leading back to previous statement, low quality works)
• Website maintenance is not so great.
• You cannot delete you account.
• Advertisements and account upgrades are everywhere and seem to be presented too aggressively if you ask me.

Conclusion:

I have used both sites and so everything I write comes from experience.  And so the answer to the question: “which is better…Flickr or Deviantart?” really depends on what you are looking for.  If you are really into chatrooms, anime fan art and truly want a site where you can upload your work as well as socialize, then Deviantart is perfect for you.  But if you are more focused on presenting your work and you have a strong base in photography, then Flickr is great for you.  And don’t get me wrong, Flickr also has a huge computer graphics community.

Flickr just has a simple design that is very effective in uploading and managing your works.  Yes it is a bit difficult to get comments and views on your work, but I believe Flickr doesn’t put you, the user, on a pedestal for everyone to view, but rather centers on your work, its quality and craftsmanship.  When you do get comments you get substantial critiquing comments, not “I <3 it, its sooooooooo effing adorable :D:D:D:D.”  In my opinion, Flickr just seems a lot more mature when compared to Deviantart.

So what’s my answer?………………………Well, I’m a Flickr gal all the way!

Oh my God!!!  I thought I’d seen great wallpaper sites until I came across this one–no, I can’t say that because they’re all spectacular.  But this site is definitely included in my favorites…Pxlshots.

So I can’t remember if I said I was writing the screenplay for New Moon just for funzies.  But I am.  Tonight was the second time I’ve worked at it.  And I’ve always been a purist, so a lot of the dialogue I’m ripping straight from the book, condensing here and there, but honestly, not that much.  But tonight, I’ve been changing a lot of dialogue.  I’ve never really noticed how easily Bella gives into Edward sometimes.  And especially when I imagine the words coming out of Kristen’s mouth, I can’t help but beefing them up.  I’m molding Bella into a stronger character.  I’m making her a bit more irritable and strong-willed.  And while I’m letting Edward laugh at her being stubborn, it’s so much better than her being so… “whipped?”  I don’t know.  It was just something I never really noticed.  I really think that Kristen has fortified Bella as a character.

Also, Shawna, if you read this, I’d really appreciate an email back from you.  And Sanne, I know you are busy, but I miss hearing from you!  Finally, Morgan owes me snail-mail.

I also bummed around on devianart, looking through the fan manipulations and such, and now I really want to make a New Moon manipulation, but I don’t know what scene.  Suggestions?
