In this world the children of mad scientists are sent to a special school, called Hollow Fields, to study the art of becoming a great evil mad scientist. The school is run by Miss Weaver and her mechanical engineers. The kids take classes like grave robbing, anatomy experiments and killer robot construction. All is fun and games until Friday comes, when the lowest achieving student is sent to detention in the mysterious Windmill. This is the way it’s been for years, until Lucy Snow arrives and one “lucky” child escapes from the Windmill. Just what is Miss Weaver working on? What happens to the students who go to detention? Will Lucy survive the school year?

Favorite

I love the character designs for Miss Weaver, Miss Notch and Miss Ricketts. The robotic clockwork graphics created by Mrs. Rosca was what attracted me to this manga. Her attention to detail is fantastic. It’s also a nice twist to the school manga stoylines: a  school for mad scientist! How can you pass that up?

My favorite character is Miss Weaver. Her design is fabulous and her personality is perfect for a mad scientist school principal: impatient, cruel and ingenious. Of course, I get a kick out of having such a strong female character being in charge and bossing people around. Definitely a plus. Another thing I love about this series is that it starts and finishes in less than ten volumes. So many original American manga is left unfinished by creators or publishers that sometimes I hesitate to buy the first volume because I never know if it will continue. Other drag on in endless volumes and pretty soon your shelf is full of multiple volumes where, sincerely, there is not much plot advancement. My congratulations to Mrs. Rosca for creating and illustrating such an entertaining story. I look forward to her next series.

I haven’t really uploaded anything to it. I will though. I want to add my illustrations rather than photographs. I’ve been too lazy to utilize my scanner but whatever.

It’ll probably end up just being a gurofest and Mr. C will think I’m creepy (he probably already thinks I’m creepy though).

Oh, and I went to see Peaches on Saturday. It was an okay show, so many unattractive pseudo hipsters. I got a shirt that says “Fuck The Pain Away” and I plan to wear it to school tomorrow. Let’s see how that goes.

Lá venho eu trazendo mais um nome desconhecido pra vocês, né? Pois é, a figurinha da vez é Patrick Brown, um designer gráfico australiano de apenas 24 anos. Tem-se pouquíssima informação sobre ele na internet, o que é uma pena porque esse cara já devia estar com o trabalho dele bombando por aí.

Artista bastante conhecido no Deviant Art (popular comunidade virtual artística), Patrick é simples e direto descrevendo seus interesses em seu perfil no site: “estou aqui para me tornar um artista melhor, apreciar arte e mostrar o meu trabalho ao mundo. Então o Ogro faz a boa ação do dia e ajuda o digníssimo rapaz em sua empreitada, postando auqi na Caverna alguns de seus trabalhos.

Seu traço é inconfundível, moderno e ousado. As cores também são sempre muito bem trabalhadas. Toda a obra de Patrick Brown tem um caráter impactante e dinâmico. E o aspecto mais interessante de tudo é que os temas de suas ilustrações são sempre ícones da cultura pop, sejam de filmes, games ou quadrinhos. Entre os retratados temos Wolverine, o Exterminador, os personagens do game GTA, Coringa, Dexter, entre muitos outros.

 Today’s artistic inspiration features artwork by Clarissa Paiva aka. Variations. She has a beautiful unique style that is soft and passionate. More than anything it was the mesmerizing eyes of characters that really drew me in. Hope he work inspires you as much as it inspired me!  xoxo

Olá, pessoas.

Como podem perceber, Tuthoya’s Chronicles está saindo do papel. As páginas da primeira parte estão prontas, resta finalizar a capa e mais alguns pequenos souvenirs, rs.

Bom, vou explicar um pouco sobre TC; pra quem não sabe, TC faz parte do universo de Therium, o mesmo de Final Adventure, jogos feitos no RPG Maker. Se passa um ano antes do FA 2 e um ano depois do FA original (penso que logo terminarei o “remake” em RPG Maker 2k3 mesmo).

Serão 20 páginas por número, dividos em 2 partes de 10 páginas. A periodicidade eu ainda não sei… Talvez bimestral ou trimestral, hehe.

TC vai contar a história de Jean e da secreta cidade de Tuthoya, a cidade dos misticos.
Serão contadas as histórias de alguns personagens que não apareceram no Final Adventure 2, mas que são principais no primeiro, entre outras coisas legais que foram esquecidas, rs.

Vai contar também, como Jean conheceu personagens como Amnetika e Su Mei (ainda não tem muita coisa sobre ela).
Ah sim! Sem contar que vai ser algo 18+ (mas nada de hentai harcore, ok?)

Enfim, vai ser muito legal.

Well I slept for twelve blissful hours and woke up in a better state of mind. I was idly browsing through some deviant art and I found this lovely picture based on a song by Jason Mraz called ‘Life is Wonderful’ and it..well I’ll put it in here so you can see it. You might recall I do that. I write on windows and mirrors and any surface that will take it. So I copied this guy..or girl whatever and wrote this on my window so that I will see it and be reminded of it all the time.  I dunno. It made me happy. That song makes me happy. Some lively Italian girl showed it to me once upon a time and I had kind of forgotten about it until I stumbled upon this picture and I love it all over again. Life is Wonderful. I just seem to forget that sometimes.  Hope you guys are having a really great day. My day has been very..mellow. As mentioned I slept in quite late, I ate waffle fries and cheese, had way too much hot cocoa (and plain cocoa powder) and I’ve already seen a documentary about wolves today. Ala la la life is wonderful. An end note: I’ll try not to be this peppy next time as this level of optimism is admittedly scary.

What do you have in mind when you draw?

What you seek when you try to improve?

How do you drive yourself to draw and improve?

I’m an attention seeker. For all these time I’ve been drawing, I really put effort to improve my work.
Most probably to gain people’s attention and recognition.

No matter how much I improve, I don’t feel appreciated in anyway.

Is it just exactly because of such feelings I can’t create works people like?
Or do I just not know how to sell/promote my works.

Everytime I work on something I always thought with every little improvement I will be rewarded with faves and whats not.

Is that the wrong thinking? Are faves just merely a statistic of how exposed your work is on dA?

Lately I’ve been wondering if such mindset of so eagerly wanting people’s recognition is wrong or not.
I’ve been trying to understand my feelings and putting it into my work.

Maybe I need time to let my works go through people?

No matter what, I’ll continue to improve on my skills.
And understand how to touch people’s heart through my work.

Ecco…che dire?Il problema è il deviant?Il problema è questo tipetto (che non è affatto male a livello artistico intendo *___*)?O ci sono altre cose dietro.Secondo me è qui lo scrivo e sottoscrivo..Deviant Art è solamente un punto di partenza.Nel senso che è un confronto è un ottimo mezzo di promozione ma fondamentalmente bisogna applicarsi.Bisogna scendere alla realtà delle cose.Noi non siamo nessuno…nel senso che il mondo è molto vasto e questa società contemporanea purtroppo o forse no ci ha dato la possiblità di applicarci in una miriade infinità di sogni e cose anche di natura artistica che forse un tempo avremmo solamente sognato.Deviant=Myspace per quanto concerne la musica.Non si può pretendere di aprire una pagina nel marasma del web,caricare due disegni o due file di musica se pur validi e poi avere un super successo.Bisogna sbattersi,promuoversi e qualche volta anche vendersi perchè il marasma dell’ “arte” prodotta ogni minuto è così tanta che non possiamo credere sempre di emergere.L’ho visto con la mia band gli “an Handful of Dust”.Bisogna crederci,migliorarsi e sbattersi.A volte anche per niente,non si può solamente piangere.Io credo nella mia band sino al midollo e sono pronto a dare il tutto per tutto anche se sarò destinato a restare nell’underground.E’ difficile,lo sò..ci si scazza …lo sò.. a volte ci si sente inutili ma bisogna provarci e coltivare questa passione o qualsiasi voglia passione anche solo per stare bene con se stessi..senza grandi pretese.Se invece della nostra passione vogliamo farci un lavoro prendete carta e penna e vendete l’anima al diavolo.Nel senso che quello che si ha davanti è solo merda,sangue e sudore.Non basta avere il talento..bisogna sbattersi a livello promozionale.E’ quello che in America chiamano Virus Marketing ovvero rompere i coglioni a più persone possibili se si vuole emergere sennò si rimane come prima o come sopra..inutili.Si possono iniziare miriadi di discorsi a proposito.Io e il pat abbiamo affrontato diverse volte questo discorso e precisamente un anno fa l’abbiamo fatto anche con il Gian.Io credo che il cambiamento sociale che abbiamo subito nell’arco di vent’anni ha fatto in modo che le persone a causa della mancanza di un identità precisa tentino in qualunque modo di crearne una.Per questo motivo ci sono tantissimi “artisti”,chiunque si sente in diritto di dire qualcosa ma è veramente così?Abbiamo tutti questo diritto?E’ una domanda complessa anche perchè è talmente facile essere cinici a riguardo di questo argomento.La prima cosa che ti passa per la mente quando guardi o senti qualcuno che non è capace e di dire…ma va a zappà la terra ma è veramente così?Cosa determina chi merita e chi non merita di esprimersi?E’ sempre lo stesso discorso anche se è così complesso….ci hanno dato tutto e forse non ci hanno dato niente.Al deviant in  questione ho scritto questo:”

Humanzee … is that you?

Yes. Happy birthday to me. I am now the tender age of 20. Great. I am no longer a teen ager or a “hooligan” Haha. Last night we met at the car wash and we had some people come out. The regulars came out and we even had some fresh faces. It was a nice show up.

I don’t know if anyone knows about Friday but there is supposed to be a huge show up at Books A Million. People from all over will be in town. Keep that in mind.

So, onto the pictures. Darrell had wanted me to take pictures of his Ej1 sitting on some panty droppin’ SI rims. His rims are so mint it is unbelievable. I really need to cop me some of those. Well, here are some pics, oh and on a side note, his guages really do work. They are pretty nice. And I love his carbon fiber mirror.

Clap Clap

It took me ages to write those two words because I seem to have a disability. I can’t type properly, keyboards confuse me. Why arnt the in alphabetical order like phones. I’m good at phones. 4000 texts in a month shows I’m good at phones. That was a long time ago though, when the ladies loved me.
Not so much the ladies, just a lady.

I can change Colour in sentances. Which is nice. I can make rainbow sentances, who doesn’t love a rainbow sentance? George.

A lot has happened in the last day, I was sick and I watched TV for ages. It was fun to the max. I almost cried, it was that fun. I was having so much fun I thought I’d blog about it.

I’d like to apologise for that last picture, It was rather immature. It was pretty skillful though, with all that poo everywhere. Kudos to Josh, he did a good job. He has a deviant art but I don’t know what it is. He does a nice converse.
